Extremely pleasant to work with. Very accommodating, excellent communication and friendly staff. My partner and I needed to coordinate several persons to see the space for our wedding reception events. Joe and Vicky could not have made this easier for us. They helped us plan a perfect day by asking questions and giving helpful advice with things we didn’t even consider! They helped organize our bar menu to fit exactly what our guests would need. The venue was fabulous! Wonderful architecture and a long history give the space that St. Louis magic. I cannot recommend the Barnett on Washington enough.

If I could give 10 stars I would! I had my wedding here last month and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The wedding coordinators, Joe and Vicki are real pros. They are extremely knowledgeable and incredible to work with. I felt that they were personally invested in making this event as special as it could be. You can tell that they really love what they do. Obviously, weddings can be expensive, but they never tried to upsell us on unnecessary things, which I appreciated. And the venue itself is stunning. Everyone in our families couldn't stop talking about how beautiful it was. If you are considering having your wedding here, DO IT! You will not regret it.

This is an amazing venue. It is beautiful and the employees are so helpful. I couldn’t imaging our wedding at any other venue.

I cannot stress enough how magical the Barnett on Washington was for our December wedding! From the moment I stepped through the door on our first tour, I knew this place was everything I wanted and more for our big day. Their staff is helpful and accommodating and the venue itself is stunning. The spiral staircases, the beautifully designed custom bar, the balcony- this venue is a must-see! Joe and Vicki truly know how to plan an event without a hitch. We had several specifics we wanted but they were so laid back and made everything come together with ease. It was amazing and so very enjoyable for all our guests. They went above and beyond and it definitely didn’t go unnoticed so thank you Joe and Vicki!!!

The Barnett was the BEST choice for a wedding venue. It is so beautiful and all of our guests adored it. You barely have to decorate because it is so pretty. It is small and intimate and the stairs were perfect to have our wedding party come down. They have both an indoor and outdoor bar and had fantastic bartenders. There is a secure parking lot and they do offer valet as an add on. Working with Joe was seriously the best. He is so helpful and makes the process so much more fun.

The venue was beautiful and classy and a perfect size for our wedding ceremony and reception with ~100 guests. My wedding party and I enjoyed making a grand entrance down the staircase for the ceremony. Most of all, Joe and Vicki were so helpful communicating before our wedding and keeping things flowing smoothly the day of event. We had planned everything from out of town and weren't able to see the venue until the week before. In the end, we were so happy with choosing the Barnett for our wedding ceremony and reception!

The Barnett was just perfect for our wedding reception! Everything was beautiful and Joe really took care of us! I cannot recommend this venue more. The space is gorgeous and everyone we worked with there was so professional and helpful!

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of hosting my wedding at this exquisite venue, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment we toured the venue with Vicki: the ballroom, the bar area, courtyard, everything was absolutely perfect. The attentive staff, specifically Joe, went above and beyond to ensure every detail was flawlessly executed. They were easy to work with during the planning of the wedding answering any and all questions we might have had. During the rehearsal, Joe walked my wedding party through every last detail of the timeline and made everyone feel very prepared and at ease. The picturesque setting provided a dreamy backdrop for our special day, making wonderful wedding photos. Our guests were equally impressed, raving about the impeccable service and the enchanting atmosphere. Choosing this venue was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and I can't recommend it highly enough.

We had a wonderful experience working with Vicky and Joe. We did not have use a wedding planner but fortunately their awesome support and wealth of experience alleviated a lot of potential concerns and stress. Our guests absolutely loved our wedding reception at The Barnett. Hands down we would use this beautiful venue again.

We could not have asked for a better venue for our wedding ceremony and reception, or guidance and assistance from Vicki, Joe, Kathryn, and the rest of the Barnett team! From the moment we stepped foot in the Barnett we knew it was going to be the perfect venue for us, and it did not disappoint! I wish we could relive our wedding night over and over. Our guests could not stop raving about every last detail, and the Barnett staff plaid a HUGE role in that - they don’t just provide a space to get married in, they help make sure every last aspect you’ve planned goes off without a hitch so you can enjoy your wedding without having to be the one to set up, do the room flip, etc. Because of the communication and interactions with their staff prior to the wedding, I had total confidence in them on the day of, and I didn’t have to do anything but enjoy our day. It was honestly mind blowing how they were able to partner with all of the vendors to set up, make sure our very large wedding party was in the right place at the right time, seamlessly flip the room from ceremony to reception, host our guests, and make us feel special and celebrated… just a masterpiece, and I remember taking a moment at the reception to look around and admire how beautiful everything was and what had been accomplished with the help of the team, and it honestly warmed my heart. I’m so happy we chose the Barnett and 1000% recommend them to anyone looking for a stunning, historic, intimate space, with a staff that will help you execute the wedding of your dreams!

We had our wedding at The Barnett in May 2022. It was the perfect venue for us. The event space has a lot of character so you don't have to waste extra money decorating it. We had 120 people and the space was great, we also had a live band which fit the space as well both acoustically and with enough room for dancing. Joe was the BEST, we can not say enough great things about him and the staff at the Barnett. Joe was with us every step of the way and was able to make changes on the fly as needed.

We fell in love with the Barnett early in our wedding planning process for two reasons: the space is obviously beautiful, but the people we interacted with solidified our choice. Vicki, Joe, and team truly care about their clients and want them to have the best experience. And we did! You will not regret your choice to have the Barnett team guide you through your special day, whether it is a wedding or otherwise. We had the best day, and a big reason that we did is because of how smoothly everything went (and got tons of compliments from our guests as a plus :))

Our experience with The Barnett was perfect from start to finish. Beginning with the support and acceptance Vicki provided on our initial tour to the attention to detail and organization from Joe leading up to our special day. Our family and friends still rave over the venue itself along with the organization of the staff that night. Would highly recommend The Barnett for any future events.

This venue is gorgeous! Everything from the pillars, to the bar, to loft and chandelier. I loved walking down the grand staircase. It was amazing. I got a lot of feed back from my guests that they liked how everything was in one location. Valet parking was offered to them. The ceremony took place and then they moved to the patio area during the room flip. I was so worried with the June heat that they were going to be miserable outside, but the building cast a perfect shadow over the entire area. They loved it!!!

Joe and Vicki at the Barnett are fabulous. They are pros at planning a ceremony and reception and think of details no one else has. They can adapt to any needs you may have and are flexible in all the important ways. Our ceremony and reception were amazing and the venue was so beautiful!

What drew us to the Barnett was the ease, flexibility, and personality of the people who oversee this beautiful venue. Working with Joe was so fun and despite completely changing our wedding plans multiple times due to COVID craziness, it was a stress-free process. I wanted a venue that would help guide us as we are busy people, but still let us personalize as much as we felt up to. Joe helped us come up with a timeline that made sense to us and then on wedding day, everything flowed seamlessly without us or our families having to orchestrate any of the catering or other venders or events. It is such a beautiful, classic space inside that simple decor goes a long way (such a budget-saver!) and the patio was perfect for cocktail hour. Was absolutely thrilled with how everything turned out.

Joe at the Barnett was fantastic to work during the long planning process for our wedding. From planning a wedding during covid to postponing the wedding due to covid and then finally being able to have the wedding he was extremely helpful along the way. Our guests loved the venue and the staff did a great job !

From the very first time we walked in the door for a tour, we knew this was our perfect wedding reception venue. We loved the beautiful architecture, the history, and the PEOPLE! Vicki and Joe were incredible! Joe answered every one of our million questions, was always available, and helped us with every tiny detail and last minute change. He made our day so perfect and made it run so smoothly. We didn’t worry one bit because of his experience and calming presence. If you want a truly beautiful, magical venue with the best people to help make it perfect, book the Barnett!

Due to Covid we had to move our wedding to this year. We were originally booked with another venue and had moved our date to this year with them but last minute they canceled all their contracts going forward. We were in a mad scramble To find another ceremony venue. Luckily my fiancé found the Barnett on Washington. I think it was a blessing in disguise because this place is so beautiful and amazing! Joe, the manager, was a delight to work with. He made the whole process so easy and our day turned out perfect! Plus you can’t beat the epic walk down the beautiful staircase. Makes a bride feel like a princess!

We are thrilled we chose the Barnett as our venue - for both our ceremony and reception. Joe and the Barnett team are true professionals - everyone was incredibly warm, flexible, and accommodating from beginning to end. The team created an absolutely seamless transition between our ceremony and reception, helped coordinate our ceremony and so many of our details day-of, and were extremely adaptable to all of our bumps along the road. Joe also helped coordinate with many of our vendors to make our jobs easier. Not to mention, that the Barnett is absolutely stunning - we loved how it felt spacious but also intimate; plus, we really loved the many spaces and alcoves (balcony, cigar lounge, bridal suite) throughout the building. We got so many compliments from our guests - both in-person and livestreaming - with how beautiful our venue was. We highly recommend the Barnett to any engaged couples out there!

The Barnett is the most amazing venue to have a wedding and/or reception. We initially met with Vicki to book the venue and she was so helpful in answering all of our questions and making sure this venue would be the right fit for us. We customized our package with her and she accommodated every request we made. Once booked, we then worked with Joe regarding all of the small and final details. And let me tell you... Joe is FANTASTIC! He is very detail-oriented and he is a big reason why I had so little stress on the big day. Joe made me, a VERY Type A person, completely comfortable with having him take the lead on making sure all of my very carefully planned details were brought to life. All I had to do was bring my decorations beforehand and then pick them up the following day. He and his team took care of setting up and taking everything down. I can't think of a single detail that he was in charge of that wasn't 100% correct. If you're an anxious bride or groom, book The Barnett because you will enjoy your day so much more with their team on your side!

Barnett on Washington is an ABSOLUTELY STUNNING VENUE! The staff was amazing and so accommodating and flexible. Vicki and Joe are the best people to work with and made sure our day went perfectly. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Look no further...this venue is amazing and the staff is even better!!! My (now) husband and I looked at several different venues before the Barnett on Washington. He wasn't overly excited about the other venues we visited; that all changed when we toured the Barnett and met with staff at the Barnett. The facility itself is beautiful and breathtaking! (You really have to see it in person to appreciate it fully.) I loved the idea of the grand entrance on the staircase, the fountain, and option of using the outdoor patio space (particularly during COVID times). While we loved the facility, we enjoyed meeting with and working with the staff, specifically, Joe, Ashley, and Vicki. They are simply wonderful, accommodating, and helped to alleviate stress from a stressful event. They are willing to go above and beyond and answer any and all questions. I personally think the venue is important, but the staff are what truly help to make an event successful and allow you to enjoy the planning process (as much as you can) and the wedding day. We both would highly recommend the Barnett on Washington!!!

They saved our big wedding day! 60 days before we were supposed to say I do on 8/8/2020 our original venue cancelled on us due to Covid. Barnett On Washington got us in for a quick tour, they accommodated our original rehearsal date and time, and they were beyond amazing with helping make our big day perfect! The venue is beyond beautiful and looks amazing in pictures and the staff are some of the most friendly people you will ever meet!

Joe and Ashley provided such great service and attention to detail. They made our daughter’s reception an enjoyable and stress-free event. The Barnett is a beautiful venue, the added Bronson House patio made a great starting point for the evening and the staff provided excellent service. The Barnett is a beautiful space, but the staff is what really make it a perfect venue! From the very beginning, Joe was a fountain of knowledge and extremely helpful. We had our ceremony and reception at the Barnett, and he did a great job leading up to the event sharing information, giving us ideas based on how others have done things previously, and providing feedback on our ideas. The day of our wedding Joe and Ashley did an amazing job keeping things running smoothly for the ceremony. They were all over the tiny details, from nudging the groomsmen to walk out when they missed their cue to making sure there were glasses of wine downstairs for the bridal party when we retreated after the ceremony. The bartenders also went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I (and all of our guests) had an amazing experience. The Barnett's beauty speaks for itself; the incredible staircase, the architectural detail, and the gorgeous bar all set the stage, and the staff make sure everything else goes perfectly for you.

This is such a pretty venue. The Bar is amazing and the double staircase entrance was perfect. Joe made sure everything went smoothly and according to plan!

From our first meeting through post-reception, Vickie, Joe, Ashley and the rest of the Barnett staff were consummate professionals, listening to our wants and exceeding our expectations in execution! They were gracious in answering all questions, taking great care in every detail, calming all worries and making our wedding truly magical! All vendors commented how great everyone at Barnett was to work with, too! A big bonus! All the unique, well appointed spaces made for phenomenal photo opportunities as well! I would highly recommend the Barnett for your wedding, reception, and any other gala event!

Barnett on Washington is nothing short of AMAZING! This past weekend, my son was married here. Both the venue itself, as well as the service, was 5-STAR!!!! Barnett feels, at once, intimate and grand. The 43-foot ceilings, the grand balcony and dual staircase make for a dramatic ceremony. Yet, the columns and beautiful earthy tones envelope you. Finally, the outdoor patio is quite expansive and, even on a chilly fall evening, this outdoor area with fire pit felt quite cozy. I cannot say enough about Joe and the staff. The service was IMPECCABLE!! Joe’s wheels were continually turning, attending to every detail. Yet, for the guests, he kept things light and the evening unfolded like magic. Thanks, Barnett, for a perfect experience!

I'm a wedding planner who had the opportunity to work with Joe and Tabor recently for our sweet couple Emily & Jack's wedding a couple of weeks ago. Having a great team on wedding day is huge (ask any wedding vendor!) and I will tell you right now that Joe and Tabor are simply the BEST. They're friendly, more than willing to offer a helping hand, welcoming to all guests, timely and all around great to be around. Their entire staff from the maintenance man to the bartenders were just as kind and easy to work with. This helped my team immensely and also provided a warm and happy vibe in the space which made the day go by so smoothly. If we had a question, it was answered almost immediately and with a smile on the staff's faces. Barnett itself is just stunning as well. I felt like we were hosting a dinner party in Italy! As a wedding planner, having a venue with a great staff plays a huge part in how well everyone can execute a great event for our clients. I enjoyed holding a ceremony and reception at The Barnett this past August and we loved the space and staff. Joe is so much fun to work with and so efficient and effective. The venue is a historical gem in the city and a wonderful venue for an intimate and elegant wedding. I look forward to my next wedding here.

Joe and Vikki are wonderful!!!!! The venue is elegant and beautiful. Many of my wedding guests complimented the venue stating it was the best wedding venue they’ve seen. The ceremony was perfect, especially with the fabulous staircase!

The Barnett did an AMAZING job for our wedding reception. Not only is the venue beautiful on its own, but Joe, Ashely and Vicki accommodated every request we had. Our friends and family had a phenomenal time at the reception and are still talking about how fun our 'hidden gem' of a reception venue was. From the cigar lounge to the outdoor patio area there was a spot for everyone to hangout at and enjoy the reception. The Barnett's rich colors with a glamorous edge were the perfect backdrop for my wedding vibe. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We had our wedding ceremony here on 10/14/17, and I don't have enough kind words to say. Not only is the venue absolutely gorgeous, but Joe and his team go 100% above and beyond to make the day special. He made sure that everyone was accommodated, everything started on time, and the day kept moving along. I cannot wait to see the pictures of this gorgeous space, and I appreciate their staff so much! The day wouldn't have been the same without them.

Barnett on Washington is beyond beautiful. It was the most gorgeous reception venue than I could have ever imagined. The staff was very friendly. Especially Joe, which is who we most almost always worked with. He was always quick with his responses (which was one of my only vendors I delt with that was like this) his promptness was amazing! And he did a great job of keeping me cool and collected when I would start to stress about something! I can't say enough nice things about this place! Everything was perfectly in place and how we had planned it when I arrived to our cocktail hour and there were no problems that I am aware of. Our guests were so impressed with the beauty of the venue and everyone couldn't stop telling us what a unique and beautiful wedding it was! We are so happy we chose Barnett on Washington as our reception location!

Choosing Barnett for our wedding was a no brainer! Joe and his staff were so helpful during our entire wedding planning process from the moment we toured to the end of our wedding night. The interior of the venue is beautiful and comfortably fit our 180 guest reception. We were able to put our photo booth and DJ in the balcony, which provided us the opportunity to utilize the whole venue. The bar was one of the selling points for us and we were able to choose from a variety of different bar packages. We received SO many compliments on our reception and we owe it all to Barnett!!

We loved the venue site as soon as we stepped into the place. It was breathtakingly beautiful. We put a deposit the next day. Many of our guests complimented us on the venue site. I was sad that Misty had left because she was the one I had been communicating with but Joe was fantastic. I was a nervous wreak when it came time for the wedding but Joe had everything under control. I can't say how pleased I am to have chosen Barnett on Washington to host my wedding.

Our wedding was everything I wanted it to be and more. The building and staff deserve nothing but the utmost praise. We were married on Oct. 15 and not only did we receive compliments all night, but are still doing so as we approach the two month mark. Joe and Misty were with me every step of the way and always eased any worry or concern I had. If you are looking to have a wedding that stands out from the usual cookie-cutter weddings, this is your place!

My husband and I wanted a non-religious wedding but still wanted a beautiful building. We were so lucky to hear about Barnett on Washington. The staff was extremely responsive and did such an amazing job. We have heard nothing but good things about this venue from our guests and many have said they hope to get married there someday too. Barnett on Washington is the most beautiful venue I have ever seen! My husband and I were wanting to have a 1920's wedding and this venue was perfect. Barnett on Washington can fit any type of wedding but it is not a blank slate. You do not have to go over the top with decorations because the event space is beautiful on its own. The first time I saw this place, I fell in love. Joe and Misty are so easy to work with and they will not let you down. There is also plenty to do around the area. Urban Chestnut is next door and the Fox Theater is a few blocks away. I could go on and on about how much I love Barnett on Washington but instead I will say, do yourself a favor and check them out. You will not regret it!

We chose this venue for both our wedding and reception and couldn't have picked a better location. The beauty of the venue speaks for itself! However, Misty and Joe were the ones that really sold us. From beginning to end they were on top of things and provided superior customer service! They made the transition of the room from ceremony to reception appear seemless to all of our guests and ensured all of the little details came together. I would recommend both the venue and Misty and Joe over and over again! Loved them, they’re the best!

We had our wedding ceremony at the Barnett on Washington for our New Year's Eve wedding and we could not have been more happy with how everything turned out! The staff at the Barnett was so incredible to work with - professional, accommodating, and fun. You could tell that Joe and Misty really loved their jobs and genuinely care about the brides and grooms that they work with. The venue itself is so unique and incredible. It's a newer venue, so none of our guests had been there before, and everyone raved about what an incredible space it is. It being right next door to Urban Chestnut was great for our guests too - it became the unofficial party between the ceremony and reception. The set up of the Barnett is also perfect with separate places for the bride and groom to get ready without running into each other before the ceremony. Also, the stairs make for an incredible entrance! I have to say one 'bonus' to the set up of the Barnet is that if the bride comes down the stairs, she will be waiting on the second level, which gives you the opportunity to see your entire bridal party walk down the isle (at least about half way). I thought this was a really awesome unexpected benefit because most brides never get to see that if they're entering through the same space as their bridal party. I'd definitely recommend the Barnett to anyone looking for a unique and timeless wedding venue with an incredibly attentive and caring staff!
