But Kim put that idea to rest. She is so beyond talented and easy to work with. I thought the trial went well but she outdid herself with my wedding day makeup. She also did a killer job on my mom and bridesmaids. Prior to the wedding day she was responsive and helpful with my coordinator’s timeline and my hair and makeup schedule. On the wedding day, she was the first one in the bridal get ready room and was set up and ready to go ahead of schedule. She is efficient and her work product speaks for itself. The only recommendation I would make is if you are having a second makeup artist to choose them yourself based on your review of the portfolios because Kim is so talented you want to make sure that your second artist can come close to her skill set. However, Kim will do all touch ups and make sure every single one of your bridesmaids looks perfect!

From thin to thick and curly- she knew tricks and had products to use for each hair type. Maybe it was because we had a day wedding, but it felt like we were running out of time quickly. We should have had one more hair artist because the bridesmaids hair was so thick they each took longer. I was the bride and felt I had the least amount of time which was stressful for me.

In talking to the head stylist she told us that she actually did your hair twice as you sister didn't think it would hold so she roller set it. We go out of our way for our brides including trading no less than 114 emails with you up until your big day. I am sorry if you feel it didn't live up to your ideals but I am not sure how much more we could have done. We do everything and then some for our brides and I am sorry you felt we lacked in any way.

I wanted it adjusted, but she could tell what I wanted just from how I was subconsciously touching and moving around my hair. I also liked how she was able to show me how a few different hairstyles would look at the trial so I could decide on one. On the wedding day, she arrived at 5:45 AM and made my hair and makeup look absolutely perfect. She can go very light on makeup if you're not used to wearing a lot of it (like me), or go heavier. I was worried the curls would fall out of my hair due to humidity, but they stayed perfectly intact in my photos throughout the day. Beauty Boston/Special Event Beauty is also slightly more affordable than other Boston beauty salons I looked at!
