Bella Bridesmaids was a lifesaver for me! I didn’t have a clear vision of the look that I wanted for my bridesmaids, but Jillian listened to my preferences and helped create the perfect color story and bridesmaids look for my bridal party! Most of my bridal party got together to choose their dresses in-store at the Madison/Florham Park location, which was so much fun and a great experience for all. Some other bridesmaids who live farther away found it very easy to visit their local Bella Bridesmaids location and pick their dress without traveling far. My bridal party consisted of 9 women who differed in age, size, and style, and Jillian and the products offered at Bella Bridesmaids made all of the girls feel comfortable and beautiful. Thank you, Bella Bridesmaids, for an awesome experience and for making my wedding so special!
I had a wonderful experience at Bella Bridesmaids in Florham Park, NJ! I had 10 bridesmaids, plus my sister as Maid-of-Honor and my mother as Matron-of-Honor, so I knew it'd be a challenge to find a cohesive look for all 12 women. This store came highly recommended for this exact reason. The color of their dresses was most important to me, so I once a found that magical color (and fabric), we went with that designer. Everything after that was extremely easy! While most of my bridesmaids live on the East Coast, others did not. It ended up not being a problem at all. Since this store exists all over the country, my friends in California, Chicago and Michigan (as well as NY and NJ) were able to try on multiple styles, get measured, and have the dress of their choosing delivered to the most convenient location to them. I was also able to pick out Flower Girl dresses at this location, and all the two girls in NJ and Connecticut had to do was pick up their correct sizes. I can't emphasize enough how easy and stress-free this process was. Shout out to Breanne for being extra amazing!! [Note: the Matron-of-Honor dress is not from this store, but my mother did pick one out and wore it to our Rehearsal Dinner!]
I have been to this Bella Bridesmaid location twice, once as a bridesmaid and the other time as the bride. I would recommend this bridal salon to any new bride. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and easygoing. You don't feel rushed or pressured. They have a huge selection of dresses and various colors/designs that can fit within any budget. The company makes it easy by creating an online showroom for all your bridesmaids to preview the selected dresses and they can order through the showroom or in the store.
Highly recommend getting your bridesmaid dresses here! Everyone at the store was patient and helpful. I got to see and try on a wide variety of dresses and compare colors. I had a great experience at this Bella Bridesmaids and I heard only good things from my bridesmaids as well!
The Bella process was easy, and there were so many options! I was looking for a specific blue-grey color, so I thought Bella had the most designers, color, fabrics, etc. It was the only store I went to for bridesmaids dresses and it did not disappoint. First, they gave me an option of all the colors, and once I picked the color/fabric, I let my bridesmaids choose their style dress. They have an easy online showroom as well, where you can always see who ordered their dresses, etc. Also, for the first month my girls we’re able to order their dresses at $25 off! Dresses arrived so quickly too - in less than 3 months. Highly recommend.
Absolutely love working with this Bella Bridesmaid team! I was introduced to them as a bridesmaid in a wedding and once I got engaged I did not hesitate to make an appointment with them. The whole team is so accommodating and truly helpful when picking colors and styles for my 8 bridesmaids (since I wanted to mix and match). So knowledgeable about the brands and they didn't make my appointment feel rushed at all. I had two appointments before I brought all my bridesmaids into the store and each one was such a great experience! Some of my bridesmaids couldn't come, so I love that they could get sized at their local Bella store and order online. Seamless, easy, would chose them again!
Do not go to this store. Read the yelp reviews. They don't measure correctly. They order things wrong and then duck your phone calls. Right now I am stuck with a $300 bridesmaid dress that I cant even wear to the wedding bc its 2 sizes too big. (as is another bridesmaid in the wedding party who went to this store) The resolution they presented was to get it altered which is approximately $200. Or they offered to order me another dress with a slight discount in the correct size.

Had a very easy time picking out bridesmaid dresses and ordering them. They looked gorgeous and most needed very little alterations. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the ordering process was seamless.
I'm giving Bella Bridemaids one star becuase I did use them for my Bridesmaid's dresses, which turned out to be beautiful. However, two of my bridesmaid's and myself had unpleasant experiences with the staff. When I first walked in for my appointment, nobody greeted me and I stood in the lobby waiting before anyone even acknowledged my presence.
When my sister went to pick up the dress she had purchased, she was told she was unable to try it on in the store. Once she got home to try it on, not only was it COMPLETELY wrinkled, it was HUGE. She is a size zero, and was not told before she ordered the dress that it did not come in her size even though they measured her. When we called the store to see if there was something they could do, they refused to do anything. Not only did we have to pay to get the dress altered (they took two full inches off the waist), we had to pay to get it pressed due to the condition it came in.
If you are looking for good, friendly customer service, and a location where you won't feel rushed and crowded do NOT go to Bella Bridesmaids. Most of their merchandise can be purchased in other stores.
We had an absolutely amazing experience at the Bella Freehold location. Our consultant Samira spent so much time really listening to what myself and my bridesmaids wanted. We ended up finding the perfect look for the girls and they looked absolutely amazing on the big day! Bella Bridesmaids was so detailed oriented and ensured that everything came in correctly the first time! We had an absolutely wonderful experience with them!
I highly recommend Bella Bridesmaids for your bridesmaid dresses. I started with telling them what price range I wanted to stay in and they pulled dresses within that range. I then chose a designer (Colour by Kenneth Winston) and then I let all my girls pick their favorite style. I also got the cutest flower girl dress here too. Jordana from the Florham Park store was really great in helping me choose my color and making sure all the girls got the right dress and size. She was also great in answering all my emails. My maid of honor got a different rose gold Amsale dress that was stunning! My pictures of my girls came out beautiful! Thanks Jordana and Bella Bridesmaids!
I went to Bella Bridesmaids, knowing I wanted the Two Birds bridal gowns, as these tie in different ways and are a light, comfortable fabric I knew my girls would all be comfortable in. Bella Bridesmaids were so sweet and flexible, coming to the house to tie the dresses on Memorial Day weekend. Jordana came to the house and was super sweet and patient, as we were running late. Also, we got a discount, as my bridal party was large, so that was a plus!
Please stay as far away from this place as possible. This place is nothing but a scam!
One of my oldest friends is getting married and I am one of her bridesmaids- or I was until Bella ruined it! The Bride picked out a designer, color and fabric for her 12 bridesmaids to pick from- sounds good right! Even gave us a place to go pick them out from. Little did we know that the store didn't actually carry any of the dresses we were picking from. They only carried "similar" versions and we had to use our imaginations. Naturally those similar versions were not available in a very wide range of sizes, so once again, more imagination came into play. You may be wondering how then you know what size to get... well the "stylist" measures you. Now, I am not a small girl. Honestly my top and bottom are two very different sizes, but I know this and I was totally prepared to need alterations. This was not my first rodeo. When the stylist measured me she suggested I order a dress that would fit my largest measurement- my hips. I commented on the fact that the dress we were ordering was full length and asked if that was a good idea because the top was fitted. She claimed they always order based on the largest measurement and that anything too big could be altered. So despite the fact that my top was equivalent to a size 14, she ordered a size 22. Actually she didn't order it, you see the store doesn't actually order the dresses. All they do is measure you and provide a place for delivery/pickup. The bride was the one who actually collected all of our sizes and placed the order, oh and they charged them to her credit card... that was a nice surprise. Fast forward 6 weeks, (ya it takes 6 weeks for the dresses to get to the store) I pick up the $200, specially ordered dress and bring it home. When I tried it on my husband laughed so hard he cried. The dress was so big I didn't even have to unzip it before I put it on. It looked like I was wearing a parachute. My first thoughts were, “oh God, there is no way this is fixable”, and I was right. I immediately called Bella Bridesmaid and they insisted that their “recommended seamstress” would be able to fix it. So naturally I made an appointment with her. She said she could work miracles, literally, but it was going to cost me another $200. Maybe I am a little out of touch, but I thought that was an obscene amount to charge. She explained the ridiculous amount of work she was going to have to do and that I would need to come back at least two more times, and that the hem alone would be about $65. Not knowing what else I could do, I agreed. Fast forward 2 weeks. The wedding is 5 days away, the dress still does not fit and I’m out $400. The recommended seamstress is “done” and cannot do anymore with the dress, despite her ability to work miracles. Bella Bridesmaid, who “has never had this happen before” doesn’t know what to do. I stated I wanted my money back, and the response was well with an altered dress we may not be able to do that. THE ENTIRE SET UP WAS A SCAM FROM THE BEGINNING!
My bridesmaids looked fabulous each wearing a different style long dress from the Love Lane collection at Bella. Bella in Madison is a small shop, but has a decent selection of styles and colors. The staff here was kind and easy to work with. Appointments in advance are necessary and only an hour long, which they stick to pretty strictly or you end up sharing the small space, so you have to be as efficient as possible while trying on. Since each bridesmaid ended up choosing their own style, we ended up having to come back to make sure everyone got the style they liked and had the proper size ordered. The sizing recommended for some of the girls was definitely smaller than it should have been, though we luckily changed this before ordering so all the dresses ended up fitting. The color we chose was Persimmon, which they unfortunately did not have any full dress samples of (only swatches) in the store or in any other local NYC area stores (or in the Chicago store, where my sister got sized). I had to go off of pictures I found online, which was a little risky. Though the color came out a bit brighter than expected, I absolutely loved it. They also sent me a swatch in the mail while I was waiting for the dresses to come in, which helped with coordinating men’s ties and flower colors. Overall, we were happy with the quality of the bridesmaid dresses and how the ladies looked on our wedding day.
I was referred to Bella Bridesmaid by the owner of the bridal salon that I ordered my gown from for my wedding. I have a small bridal party of 3 girls and I initially looked through dresses by myself in the store to pick out a bunch of styles that my girls could pick from. Sloane was extremely helpful, patient, and gave great suggestions, as she recently also got married. She was really knowledgeable about the dresses, and just wedding questions in general. After I brought my sister and friend in we needed to come back to make the final decision because there were so many dresses to pick from! We were able to easily get a night appointment the following week. Sloane and Jordana were so patient the entire time. Sloane was also great about answering all my questions promptly by both e-mail and phone. The store is adorable and makes for a fun experience. Their selection is great, and have everything from taffeta, to jersey knit, shiffon, etc. I highly recommend!
We decided to go to Bella Bridesmaid in Madison because we thought we would get the personal approach and a selection of gowns not available in every other store. We did not have a large group with us (just three) The store is very small and we assumed when we arrived that there would be one bridal party per appointment. Unfortunately, this was not the case and there was another bridal party on hand in this tiny shop. There was no privacy at all -the dressing area is completely bare bones and there was literally no place for us to sit. Also there was a trunk show that day which added to the general feeling of of confusion. However, the selection of dresses was very nice and we did manage to select a dress that day. Several of the bridesmaids were not with us that day and made their own appointments to be measured for their dresses. The problem came when the dresses arrived. (All of them had to be altered.) When the one young lady was measured she came up a very small size (I believe it was a 0!) She is a petite girl; however when the dress came in it did not fit at all-we are talking a good 2 1/2 inches too small at the waistline. The salesperson insisted that the dress could be "let out" to fit. (Bella Bridesmaid does not do alterations.) The bridesmaid was very upset and so was the bride but they took the dress home. We brought the bridesmaid and the dress to our dressmaker who confirmed what I already thought which was that there was about 1/2 " total seam allowance and there was no way the dress could be let out. When I (the mother of the bride) called BBM, I was told in so many words that the young lady must have gained weight or been "working out" and it was our problem. First of all the girl in question would have had to be taking steroids to have "bulked up" to the degree implied. (Also, to the naked eye the bridesmaid looked exactly the same as when she was measured for the dress.) Needless to say, I was very unhappy with this reply and decided to try to get some satisfaction in some other way. I did some research and found that the parent company of the BBM franchise is located in San Francisco and managed to get a phone number. I called and got to have a conversation with the owner and founder of the company. She was very attentive and promised to call the Madison store and try to help.
Next day I received a call from the Madison store owner who made an appointment for the bridesmaid to come in and be re-measured to see how much her measurements had changed since the dress was ordered. This should have been done as soon as she tried the dress on and it didn't fit!! It turned out the bridesmaid's measurements had changed 1". Even the owner of the franchise suggested that with this small change the dress might have been snug but should have zipped up. The owner of the store suggested that it was a problem with the way the dress was manufactured. Personally, this was just passing the buck-I feel they should have done one of two things:ordered a new dress in the correct size at their expense or paid for the alterations and the extra fabric needed to alter the dress. Unfortunately, the best they would do was order and pay for the fabric (and that only because I called SanFrancisco-they would have done nothing if I hadn't made that call. I was left to pay for the very costly alterations. Believe me this was a very upsetting experience and I would not recommend Bella Bridemaid to anyone.
I ordered my four bridesmaids' dresses from the Madison Bella Bridesmaid for our June 2010 wedding. My bridesmaids and I were spread all over the US (from Florida to LA to Boston). On top of that, we ordered two different dresses from two dressmakers in four different colors (plus a length of matching silk for the flower girl's sash), and they did a nice job of coordinating everyone and getting all the dresses shipped promptly. The benefit of Bella being a chain was that my bridesmaids could each go into a shop near her and try dresses on there, then send her decisions and requirements into the Madison shop for ordering. I have only two criticisms: first, it was hard to get someone on the phone. They're only open by appointment, and the answering machine always picks up if you try to call. Since I'm never home, this resulted in a fair amount of phone tag. I had more luck getting responses via email, but it tended to take a while to have those conversations, whereas if I could just get someone on the phone it might have been over in 5 minutes. Second, their size-ordering instructions are as complicated and weird as bridesmaid's dress ordering instructions always are, and inevitably nearly everyone (per instructions and encouragement) ordered several sizes too big and had to have her dress taken in a huge amount. Nota huge deal, but you could tell. If they could figure out how to help people order the right size, it would make a huge difference. But apart from that, the staff were nice and attentive, the shop is lovely, and we got what we wanted.
