Where to even begin - Jenn and Kaylinn are quite the dynamic duo! I just recently moved to San Antonio from Dallas, and my fiancé and I were looking to have some engagement photos taken. I reached out to Bend The Light through their messaging system on their website and heard back immediately! My initial contact was with Kaylinn, and we scheduled a time to chat about what we were looking for as far as location and style for our photos. She was so personable and easy to talk to! Great communication and beyond helpful with providing ideas for where to have pictures taken (as I was unfamiliar with the area and my fiancé just wanted greenery), and she answered all my questions about literally everything. Truly so many things to think about that I hadn’t even considered. We LOVED how much both Jenn and Kaylinn wanted to get to know us and our story. The day of our photo session, Jenn made us feel at ease, and she captured the most BEAUTIFUL photos!!! My fiancé and I had such a fun afternoon with Jenn and were just beyond impressed with her work!! Working with Jenn and Kaylinn was truly a fabulous experience from start to finish. We’ll definitely be using Bend The Light Photography again. Thank you so much again for these flawless photos, a gift we will forever treasure.

It is hard to even know where to begin when writing about how amazing Jenn and Kaylinn and the rest of our wedding day photography team were from Bend the Light. From start to finish they make you feel so comfortable behind the camera and are so completely wonderful to work with. Everyone in my wedding party agreed too as well as family members. With the chaos of a wedding day I really felt so calm and secure knowing Jenn was in charge. She kept me anchored and put me at ease and I know I could completely trust her to capture our special day. The photos speak for themselves really but what’s more incredible beyond how amazing they are to work with is their eye for capturing all the amazing moments with the most important people without you even having to tell them. It’s like they read your mind. Barely a month after we got married my father-in law passed away very unexpectedly and it has been so hard for our family but when making his memorial service slide show and picking the photo for his portrait we had so many amazing ones of him showing his amazing personality to choose from that Jenn did an amazing job capturing. She not only brought out and captured the best in me and my husbands pictures of our wedding but also of those we hold so dear in our hearts. We cannot thank them enough.

We love BTL Photography! They were the first vendors we booked for our wedding. They are such wonderful photographers to work with and created such beautiful engagement and wedding photos that we will cherish forever! I highly recommend these wonderful women.

I had called many photographers and left messages but Kaylinn was on top of it and called me back promptly. She was organzied and friendly and helpful. This went very well and they were transparent in their negotiations. She also helped me find a sitter and helped suggest ideas for flowers, etc. THANK YOU We were really, really impressed with Jenn on our wedding day! I was late coming back from getting my hair and make up done with my girls and had hoped to get a lot more prepped for the wedding before she arrived. But as we know life throws in a wrench at times, and Jenn and her assistant arrived on time and were there scoping out the location as promised. They were cheerful and kind. They jumped in and helped out a flustered bride who had no wedding planner. Jenn had many awesome suggestions and assured me that she would help me get things together and SHE DID! I was so grateful and so was my husband. It helped me relax and trust this most special day would not become a disaster. Not only were the pictures amazing but she even got them to us early. I love her eye for shots and how she framed us into the background of the location we were out outside. Her eye for things is wonderful and I cannot say enough good things about many talents. She is fun and helps you smile after the 100th photo. It is hard to model in pics when you are not a model, but she made it easy and is very genuine. Her heart and soul go into her work and she truly cares. We are so grateful to her for helping with my bouquets, to setting out the benches, to laying out the items I had for display (all much better than I was coming up with!) It was so appreciated. Join the Bend The Light Family! From my first phone call with Kaylinn at Bend The Light I immediately knew I had found the most perfect photography vendor for our wedding! Kaylinn and Jenn are childhood best friends and they truly treat all of their clients as family! My husband and I truly enjoyed our engagement session with Jenn! If I could give Bend The Light 10 stars I would! Kaylinn and Jenn are the most amazing women to work with! They were the very first vendor I booked and I found them out of luck! I was looking through Facebook and saw wedding photos of a girl I went to high school with, thought her pictures were amazing, and done! That was all I needed to know Bend The Light was who I wanted to capture our day. From our engagement shoot, to my bridals, and then to our wedding day Jenn made us feel so comfortable and encouraged us to just be us and those goofy ones turned out to be our favorites! I cannot thank Kaylinn and Jenn enough for all their help throughout our wedding journey and I am so lucky have been able to have them capture the most important and special times in our life!

I got married this year on November 10th. I found out about Bend The Light from my wedding planner. After looking at Bend The Light's website and going through their recent work on their blog, I knew they would be the perfect photographers for my wedding. The main thing that sold me on Bend The Light was their light images. They were so easy to work with. They made both my husband and I feel so comfortable (especially during the engagement picture session.. my husband is not one for pictures - but Jenn did an amazing job with him). They do amazing work!! I wish I could have another wedding just so I could use them again and again! I had an amazing experience with them and recommend them every time!

I cannot begin to express how amazing Jenn & Kaylinn are! From day one they have been a joy to work with & have received countless compliments on our engagement photos, my bridal portraits, & our wedding photos! My husband does not enjoy having his photo taken so I was nervous about how our engagement session would go, but within 5 minutes Jenn had him comfortable in front of the camera (something I haven't been able to accomplish in 5 years)! I still cannot believe how amazing our photos are, especially considering how quickly they get the edited photos back to you. They truly have a gift for what they do & I feel so fortunate they were able to capture our big day! Simply amazing! Bend the Light made the entire process so smooth, easy and enjoyable. The intro email asking specific questions was a nice way for them to get to know my finace and me before our engagement shots. Jenn was punctual and helped put us a ease during the photoshoot. She captured us at our best and allowed us to be ourselves. The pictures came out beautifully!

In a crazy whirlwind, my fiancé and I relocated from Chicago to San Antonio, both got new jobs, a promotion for me and graduate school for him, and decided to plan a wedding…5 months out. Phew! New to town, we had no idea where to start, and a good photographer was on the top of my must have list. We met with a few photographers who didn’t have the artistic and friendly approach that we were looking for, and time was running out. After receiving a glowing recommendation from a colleague, we looked in to Bend the Light, and were amazed at the gorgeous scope of work we saw online. I called Bend the Light on a Saturday, about 4 months (if that) out, thinking there was just no way that they would have our date. The next day we got a call back! On a Sunday! And as luck would have it, our date was the one Saturday they had open in 2018. I couldn’t believe it. Kaylinn was so super easy to talk to and professional. She literally had me at hello. Work was crazy for me, and I didn’t have a lot of time to spend on the wedding, but Kaylinn was so wonderful about keeping us on schedule, and keeping appointments and making herself available. The day of the wedding arrived, and even though I hadn’t yet met Jenn, she just jumped right in as though we’d been working together this whole time. I am, and always have been, extremely awkward in front of a camera (thankfully my now-husband is a ham). But, Jenn’s enthusiasm and excitement throughout the day kept this un-photogenic girl going. She had this incredibly soft and fun way about being super-duper efficient. The photographs are everything we hoped. Not only that, while this job still has me running circles, Kaylinn has been patient with me throughout the photo album process, keeping me on time and in budget. Having a “destination” wedding is hard enough, and because of Bend the Light, the photography (my most important thing), was the ONE thing we didn’t have to worry about. Do yourself a favor – hire them.

Jenn and Kaylinn were absolutely amazing to work with!! They are fun, flexible, professional, and most importantly, produce AMAZING photos! The engagement shoot my husband and I did with Jenn at the Botanic Gardens was one of the highlights of wedding planning for me. We both had so much fun and Jenn kept us laughing the whole time. As we were preparing for our wedding, Kaylinn was so helpful about going over every detail and the timeline. She even helped us decide on our pre-ceremony photo location based on which one would work best with our wedding colors! My husband and I will always treasure our wedding photos from Bend the Light!

Jenn and Kaylinn were an absolute pleasure to work with from the start. They gave every detail of our engagement photos and wedding every ounce of their attention. Kaylinn has a gift for working through every detail prior to the big day and Jenn is beyond talented on the day of. We absolutely adore every one of our wedding photos and had all of the special moments of our day captured perfectly! We could not recommend Bend the Light enough and are beyond thrilled with everything they did for us! We hope we have many more important life events for them to capture for our family!

Photography for me was one of the most important aspects of the wedding. A) you’ll have these pics forever B) you can’t re-do it C) you’re not the one editing these pics (hello 17 different insta filters plus slim mode) needless to say you have to trust these people. I had massive anxiety regarding getting pictures taken. (School picture day/the DMV are my nightmare) so it was equally as important that I feel comfortable with this person(s). I like a soft light look and BTL does that amazingly well! So aesthetically we were on the same page. But also I fell in love with office manager Kaylinn the first time we talked- it felt so easy! I was comfortable telling her my fears regarding photos/getting my pictures taken. She assured me Jenn is sensitive to that and will be there to help and guide. She was so right! Our engagement session with Jenn was amazing! She made it fun and assured us this may feel weird but you’re gonna love the pics-and we did! I was praying for 2-3 decent shots for prints/save the dates- we loved them so much that we had too many favorites to choose from! (Good “problem” to have). Jenn was calm and relaxed during the wedding which calmed me. She was that perfect level of assertiveness to keep things moving but not a bossy fun-sponge! (If you’ve been a bridesmaid more than once you probably know the type of photographer that takes the fun out of the day.) She and Kaylinn make sure you’ll get every shot you request and will even help you make your requests list ahead of time so you don’t have regrets later about missing a photo op. Stalk their work- you’ll see the caliber of pictures they take! And bonus-they are easy/fun to work with and double bonus- their pricing is mid-range from all the quotes I got but the quality is so high-end! Don’t skimp on photography cut from other line items if you have to (we did) this is one area you get what you pay for and you want to love it!! I am so confident you’ll love BTL as much as we did! Choosing BTL was one of the best decisions we made throughout the entire wedding planning process!!

What can I say about Jenn and Kaylinn? These gals are rockstars in every sense of the word. I have been in wedding industry for 10 years (and finally was able to be a bride!) and Bend the Light by far is the best in their craft. I had worked with them on countless weddings and was so excited to have them photograph my wedding. They were the first thing I booked! it was a no brainer and I am so happy to officially be a #BTLBride. Those gals know what they are doing. From the initial inquiry, to follow up, to consulting, they are with you every step of the way. They leave no questions unanswered and really make you feel at ease (even when other things are crazy). I cannot wait to have for another milestone to happen just so I can work with these two again. Love to you both!

I can't imagine picking a better photography team for our wedding. Bend the Light was very easy to work with from the beginning. We were so happy with the collection of pictures they gave us of our wedding day. They captured every special moment of the night with beautiful pictures we will enjoy for years to come! Their pictures speak for themselves but Jenn, Amy and Kaylinn are also the sweetest people! You can tell that they are completely dedicated to making your wedding day pictures perfect. So, I could go on and on for pages about how much I love my engagement and wedding photos--about how I had no idea that me and my husband and our friends and family could look like we’re straight out of a wedding magazine photo spread and how the photos aren’t just perfectly lit and framed, but they also magically capture the joy and spirit of the day. Seriously.There are several of each our moms where they just look SOOOO happy--like, out of their minds with happiness. Lots of our friends and family chatting, laughing, dancing. Tons of my nieces and nephews traipsing about and doing other adorable things. All of these wonderful candids were a wonderful surprise and I’m so thankful to BTL for capturing them--we'll treasure those photos forever. So, yeah, I won’t say much about the quality of their end product (though I kinda just did…) because you can see the results for yourself. I’ll tell you what the photos may not--that Jenn and Kaylinn are so sweet, helpful, professional, and fun! My husband and I are kind of awkward about were nervous about getting professional photos done. Jenn made us feel so comfortable within minutes and it wasn’t long before we were just laughing and joking around with her and having fun. The 2-hour session flew by and, sure enough, the photos were stunning. We had such a hard time choosing which ones to use in our save the dates because we loved them all. Fast forward a year-- I had every reason to freak out that our wedding photos would be a wreck. I was just getting over a cold (my then-to-be-husband was still in the trenches of it), I hadn’t slept well for days, and a cold front was coming in and the wind was fierce. But I wasn’t freaking out because out I had seen enough of BTL’s work on their blog and IG to know that they’ve shot all types of people in all types of conditions and always manage to make their photos look effortlessly magical. So I blew my nose, put a couple of extra bobby pins in my hair, and said, “bring on your worst, wedding gods! BTL has got this!!” And did they ever! Jenn has an awesome way of taking charge of the room and making sure she’s got what she needs and people are where she needs them to be without seeming like a drill sergeant. I’ve been in weddings where the photog is barking orders most of the day and making everyone--including the bride-- on edge. She kept us on schedule, got all the photos we asked for, and helped keep our energy up and laughed along with all of our wedding party’s and family’s bad jokes and weird antics. Oh! And I haven’t even said anything about Kaylinn yet! She is an absolute GEM! BTL was one of the first vendors I hired and it was pretty early on in the wedding planning process when we did. Kaylinn was so helpful in so many ways. She was always super quick in responding to my emails and went above and beyond in several ways. From helping me plan out my timeline to making me laugh and reassuring me that I wasn’t going insane in the weeks leading up to the wedding--I don’t know what I would have done with her! TL;DR: Yes--Bend the Light really is THAT good. Yes--all the positive reviews are absolutely correct and all of their former clients are rightfully effusive. Yes--ALL of their photos really are that gorgeous and yours will come out just beautiful even if you are awkward/camera-shy/not usually photogenic. You will not regret your decision to hire BTL to capture your wedding day. They are worth every single penny.

When I was looking for a photographer for our wedding, I had an idea of what I was looking for but was not 100% sure. I spent days scrolling through photos, reading reviews and stalking instagram pages. The photos I kept saving or coming back to all had one thing in common. They were all by Bend the Light. I eagerly reached out to Bend the Light and quickly received an email back from Kaylinn letting me know that Jenn (head photographer) was available for our wedding date and the rest is history! Kaylinn is simply the best. She responded to every question I had, her emails were always insanely positive and she is by far one of the coolest ladies in the universe. She made me instantly feel like we were best friends and that I had nothing to worry about. And she was right. She took care of everything! Bend the Light was one of the first vendors I booked and throughout the remainder of the wedding planning some things got a little stressful. I told Kaylinn throughout the process that they were always my constant. Once I booked Bend the Light, I never for one minute stressed about the photography at my wedding. Not to mention, other vendors I️ ended up booking already knew them and were excited to work with them again! Once it got closer to the date, Kaylinn gave me a call and we talked all things wedding day. It was genuinely like talking to a friend you’ve had for years. I finally met Jenn at our rehearsal dinner and I couldn’t help but give her a huge hug. I knew right away she was the real deal. On the day of the wedding, Jenn and Michelle arrived with smiles on their faces like they were just as excited as we were! The whole day I felt like I was hanging out with my friends who just happened to be amazing professional photographers. Jenn is incredible. She makes you feel so comfortable and at ease and she is able to capture these insanely genuine moments on camera. She has a true talent not only with photography but with people as well. We received our photos so quickly and I could not believe my eyes. Jenn captured our true personalities and everyone I have shown the photos to can not stop raving about them. From detail photos of my rings to reception photos of family and friends dancing the night away, every photo was stunning. These ladies are amazing and I promise you will not be disappointed. You will not only be obsessed with your photos but you will thoroughly enjoy the entire process of working with Kaylinn and Jenn. Book these ladies now!

5.0Catherine Picking Bend The Light for our wedding was one of the BEST decisions we made for our wedding. Kaylinn (studio manager) is incredibly helpful and was a wonderful resource for me. She gladly answered the million questions I had and was just a joy to talk to. Since I was planning a wedding from the UK, the first time I met Jenn (lead photographer) and Dawn (second photographer) was on our wedding day and they were so professional and caring. I don't like the flabby bit under my chin and Jenn and Dawn made sure I "turtled!" to get the best angles. It felt weird, but oh boy does it work! Our pictures looks AMAZING. I cannot speak highly enough of Kaylinn, Jenn, and Dawn. They are worth every penny and I would book them again and again and again!

I can't say enough about these girls at Bend the Light. Jenn is an incredible photographer and made us feel so beautiful (and handsome)! I am not the most photogenic person, but I was so thrilled to see the pictures from are wedding day! The photos were gorgeous AND she made it so easy!! She told us what to do and how to stand without it looking cheesy or too posed. Kaylinn was equally amazing and was consistently there to answer questions and give me advice!! To top it all off, these girls have amazing hearts and are so down to earth. You will not regret choosing bend the light!

Jenn took photos for our Engagements, my Bridals, and our wedding, and we could not love them any more than we do! From the very beginning, Kaylinn's encouraging attitude helped us feels little less anxious about a professional photo session, and Jenn was a delight to work with. They are both incredibly sweet and helpful, and even through a couple of schedule disruptions on the day of our wedding, Jenn kept it moving and we were still able to get all the photos we wanted! The final wedding album made us as emotional as the wedding day itself, and I could not recommend Bend the Light enough!

My husband and I searched and searched for wedding photographers. We discovered that we both kept pinning the same images to our wedding board... all were BTL photos!!!!! We KNEW we had to book them! They are professional, soooo sweet. We felt like family!!! They did an amazing job communicating with us and making sure we had every detail we wanted. BTL was awesome with our kids. They met with us and listened to our love story. We are blending our family and wanted a "non-traditional" wedding. They made us feel so comfortable and loved! BTL is an AMAZING team, and we are so thankful for their part in our special day.

Let me start this review by saying the ladies at Bend the Light are AMAZING! We could not have picked a better photography team to document such a special time in our lives (and neither could you…seriously…you need to hire these ladies right now!). Bend the Light’s photos are stunning and as soon as I came across their website, I knew we had to hire them immediately. From the get go Kaylinn was super helpful. She helped us plan our timeline and any other details of our wedding day that might affect our photos. She was quick to respond to all my emails and is such a genuinely sweet person. Jenn was equally amazing and we had so much fun with her at both our engagement shoot and on our wedding day. I am pretty camera shy and was worried about whether I would like our photos, but Jenn captured “us” perfectly. Her ability to capture a couple’s unique love story is an amazing gift. But what really makes Bend the Light so special is that Jenn and Kaylinn really care about all of their clients so much. And, by the time our wedding day finally arrived, it didn’t feel like a stranger behind a camera anymore as much as it felt like celebrating with friends. Where do I even begin! These ladies are just flat out amazing! They did my bridals in San Antonio and then did my wedding in Houston! Everything picture they take is gorgeous and they are so much fun!

BTL was absolutely wonderful to work with! All of their staff were friendly, fun, and their photos are absolutely beautiful! Even when we sprung a location change on them at the very last minute, they were not phased at all. They worked actual magic directing our massive families through the shots. I could not be happier!

We loved working with Bend the Light for our wedding photography. They were great to work with, and our photos turned out amazing! All our friends and family are telling us they look fantastic. I fell in love with Jen and Kaylinn's work when they did my best friend's wedding in 2012, and I remember wishing we could have them at our wedding, but we live on the east coast. Fast forward a few years and when we actually decided to get married, we settled on San Antonio after all, and I got to have my dream photographer! Both Jen and Kaylinn were incredibly helpful in the lead-up to the wedding, and even though we were doing almost everything long distance they helped make all of the planning go seamlessly. Day-of, Jen and Adrien were AMAZING. They caught all the best moments, both posed and spontaneous, and I can't stop looking at all of our photos. After a wedding is complete, the bride typically gives advice to couples that are engaged about what she learned from planning a wedding. The biggest piece of advice that I would give to future brides would be to use Bend The Light Photography for their own special day. They made it such an enjoyable experience for us and ensured that we got all the staged wedding photos we wanted, while capturing every precious moment during the ceremony and reception. Guests at the wedding kept asking where the photographers were because they did such a good job at blending. Their positive energy and organized style made them unbelievably easy to work with. It allowed for the groom and myself to feel at ease and feel comfortable so they were able to capture truly geniune moments. I greatly appreciate the work that Jenn and Kaylinn did.

The ladies at Bend the Light are simply incredible. They made everything so easy and stress free! Kaylinn responded absurdly quick to all of my many questions before and after our wedding, and always seemed to share our excitement for our big day. She assured me they would be prepared for our purple uplighting, and that we wouldn't look like martians in the photos. She helped me put together a reasonable timeline, and the list of family photos we wanted. I couldn't have done it without her! We did an engagement photo session to get used to the idea of having our photos taken, and we ended up loving almost every picture! Our wedding day was no different. Jenn worked with our coordinator flawlessly. We didn't make it easy on them by having our ceremony very close to sunset and not doing a first look, but they were still able to get tons of beautiful photos for us. They seemed to be everywhere and nowhere all at once... I never noticed them during the ceremony and didn't feel they intruded in any way whatsoever during the night. Best of all, we had our photos back in TWO WEEKS! I truly don't know how they are able to produce such high quality work so quickly, but it was amazing to have pictures to show everyone when we got home from our honeymoon. I can't recommend Bend the Light highly enough... in all of the stress of planning a wedding, I didn't consider how the photographer is really the key to preserving the great memories from our big day. I am so thankful we chose Bend the Light and will have their beautiful work as a keepsake forever.

I can't even begin to start! Bend the Light was a huge part of our process - from engagements, bridals, and the big day! They worked so great with us every step of the way! They really captured our personalities and even captured our dogs perfectly on our wedding day and engagements - even though my husband's dog was a wild child! I was EXTREMELY picky with my photographer. I looked for countless hours and honestly, only cared about photos on the big day - not flowers, cake, etc. Bend the Light was definitely worth the search and you can truly tell that they are passionate about what they do! I cannot say enough fabulous things about Jenn and Kaylinn. First off, they are both just awesome people. They make you feel so relaxed and comfortable from the get-go. And of course, their photos are absolutely incredible. Jenn has an amazing eye and always gets the best shots. She really can bend the light to her favor! We used Bend the Light for our engagement photos as well and there were so many great photos it was next to impossible to choose which to print and display! And I am having the same wonderful problem with our wedding photos! Not only are the photos unbelievable, the ladies are very prompt in returning them as well. I was amazed to receive all of our wedding photos less than 2 weeks after the wedding (and there were so many!). They are also prompt in responding to emails. After reviewing most of San Antonio's photographers online, we chose Bend the Light for my daughter's November wedding. From the first contact until the last, they were friendly, professional, and personable. Kaylinn, the Studio Manager, always promptly returned my calls and answered my questions. I have never felt that I was wasting her time. We chose a wedding package that included bridal portraits, and full wedding and reception coverage with two photographers. My daughter opted out of bridal portraits, so Bend the Light did engagement photos instead. Jennifer, the photographer, took the engagement photos at Market Square. Almost instantly she made my daughter and her fiancé feel at ease. She is energetic, bubbly, and knows what she is doing. With photography being my hobby , I tend to be critical, but she most definitely had the knowledge and creativity to get beautiful shots. Jennifer came to the rehearsal dinner and spent 10 hours on the wedding day along with another photographer. We have many fabulous photos of every facet of the wedding. And the photos are so much better than what I see on the internet. So natural and unposed. . We had our photos within two weeks online. We are able to order from Bend the Light and prices are reasonable. We also have the ability to upload on our computer and post on social media or print photos elsewhere. This was our first chioce of vendors once we got engaged! These girls are extremely detail oriented and take fantastic pictures! We have recieved so many compliments on the pictures and really have had such a hard time picking a favorite because they are all so good. They did a nice job at the reception of capturing our family and friends in fun moments as well as capturing all the details of the wedding. For us, pictures were are #1 priority and they exceeded all of our expectations. It was nice to have such confidence in a vendor and know that you were going to love seeing the results!

You will NOT regret this choice for your wedding. I researched many photographers and kept coming back to their beautiful work. I was exceedingly impressed with their beforehand process (asking me specific questions, taking the time to get to know me, my wedding "look", etc.). Seriously, no detail was left out! The day of the wedding, they were incredibly attentive and got every shot I had asked for and more. Both our families made numerous comments on how impressed they were with them! Now the hardest part of booking them...choosing which pictures to print/purchase!! I have already recommended them to friends and family for their special day!

When we got engaged, my fiance and I decided that one thing we really would allow ourselves to splurge on was the photography- and we're so glad we did! Kaylinn and Jen were not only easy to get ahold of and communicate with throughout our year long engagement, but they answered any and every question (there were a lot!) that we had. The pictures Jen and assistant photographer Josh took at the wedding are unbelievable. Bend the Light may seem pricy at first, but the quality of their photos, Jen's artistic and creative eye, and their level of customer service and support makes every penny well worth it. We are so thrilled with our photos, which they got back to us within just a few weeks after the wedding. Can't recommend Bend the Light highly enough.

My fiancé and I used Bend the Light for our engagement photos. Throughout the entire process both Kaylinn and Jenn were phenomenal! They responded in a timely fashion, are incredibly professional yet very personable, and receptive to clients' needs. I would book Bend the Light again in a heartbeat!
