Sheryl was absolutely amazing from the second I booked her company for my wedding until the day of! Everything came out absolutely amazing!!!! My cascade bouquet was everything I ever dreamed it would be! The centerpieces were spectacular!!! Sheryl pulled out every stop to make sure that my wedding was as magical as I had envisioned in my mind! 🩷

I would choose Black Dahlia for my wedding over and over again! A pleasure to work with, easy and organized payments, adjustments could be made with ease but the bottom line is the end product was just everything we wanted. A special thanks to this florist for their professionalism and design.

Our florals for our wedding day were so beautiful! Sonja was so helpful throughout the planning process. She allowed me to come into the shop and made up arrangements to help me get a visual of what everything would look like on our wedding day. My bouquet was beyond beautiful, I wanted it in every photo. The centerpieces were beautiful and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful they smelled. Sonja also helped to hang our neon sign on a structure and decorate it beautifully. From ceremony to reception to bouquets, everything was perfect.

Words cannot possibly express how amazing Black Dahlia was with the florals for my wedding!!! They were so easy to work with, and your online page easily lays out all of the details for each aspect of the decor. Seriously above and beyond all my dreams could have imagined. I was that crazy bride who added an intricate floral/greenery display on a staircase and basically changed the entire concept of the ceremony flowers like 2.5 weeks before the wedding. It was zero problem, they fully made my vision come to life!! We also used pillar candles in the ceremony, and repurposed those plus my florals/greenery from the ceremony to reception. And wow- I’m not sure how they did all that during the 50 short minutes of cocktail hour. But you would have never known they threw it all together as a room flip. Not one regret using Black Dahlia. Don’t hesitate to use them for your wedding!!!! Their work is beyond stunning

I can't put into words the gratitude my husband and I have for Sonja, Mark, and the Black Dahlia team. They made our wedding (plus rehearsal dinner and bridal shower) unbelievably beautiful and SEAMLESS. Sonja is so talented and professional (not to mention extremely hard working and helpful) - the second we walked into Black Dahlia she made us feel comfortable and taken care of. We got married at Oheka Castle in October 2022, and we still receive countless compliments on the floral arrangements from our guests. The flowers were elegant, timeless, and exactly what I was looking for. I was blown away, and even more blown away with how efficient and easy they made the entire planning process -- they took care of everything. Sheryl and the team at Black Dahlia did such an incredible job with the flowers for our wedding. From the start, we explained our vision and she immediately understood and captured it perfectly. She was sweet and easy to work with and wanted to make us happy. The fall colors and especially the vines covered with flowers on the arbor where we got married were so gorgeous. We absolutely recommend!

Sonja and Sheryl truly outdid themselves with our wedding flowers! My bouquet especially was breathtaking❤️ I never had the opportunity to meet with them in person so back when we booked our venue in 2020, we decided to stay with Black Dahlia since they were part of our vendor package and had wonderful reviews. Sonja and I held a phone call in October 2020 and she drew up our contract. I wanted mainly white and greenery at the time. Fast forward to the beginning of August 2022 and I was having a total change of heart. I hoped for our day to be filled with different florals and colors (more of a wildflower look). Sonja facetimed me and brought me through her shop, helping to craft up centerpieces, bouquets, and boutonnieres that mimicked my vision, while also still staying within our established budget. They were even MORE beautiful than I could have ever imagined! We were able to repurpose the perfect arch piece they made & use it for the sweetheart table. Can’t recommend Black Dahlia enough! <3

They were kind, patient and very helpful, providing suggestions and creativity with what we needed and wanted while staying in our budget. Affordable prices, stunning centerpieces. I know nothing about flowers but provided a mood board with pictures of different arrangements and color scheme, and they made my vision come to life. They were very accommodating with adjustments given my last minute venue change 2 months out. Sonja was very helpful with suggestions for our new space. They repurposed some of my ceremony flowers for the reception. I have never really been much of a flower person, but the flowers really added such a beautiful pop of color to our day. Anyone who is looking for another great vendor with KIND people with affordable prices, Black Dahlia is a great option.

The flowers for our wedding were absolutely gorgeous! The arrangements and bouquets were elegant and matched our palette perfectly. We also rented candlesticks and bistro lights, which both added to the ambiance we were looking for. Sonja and Sheryl were very easy to work with and were flexible when we had to postpone a few times due to COVID. Highly recommend!

Sheryl was absolutely wonderful to work with! I met with a handful of florists before her, and they all scoffed at my vision of simple bud vases as centerpieces. I spoke with Sheryl on the phone initially and felt so confident that she understood and actually LIKED my vision that I booked her immediately and I am SO glad I did! When I went to her shop to meet her and see a mock-up of the centerpieces, I actually teared up. I was blown away by the beauty of the flowers and her creativity and dedication to what she does. She was very thorough and patient with me as I changed details over and over in the months leading up to my wedding day. On the day of, she arrived on time and brought my vision to life so beautifully. I received many compliments from guests on the flowers and they were so excited to hear that they could take a bud vase home. Super professional, dedicated, and lovely to work with.

From the moment we met with Sheryl to go over what flowers and colors we wanted I knew they would do an amazing job and let me tell you I was completely speechless and in awe of how absolutely beautiful the flowers turned out. It was more then I could have ever imagined and 1000 times more. I would highly recommend Black Dahlia not just for weddings but for all types of parties. I can’t thank them enough for making our wedding day so special with the beautiful flowers. I also had intentions of doing all high centerpieces and Sheryl was really open with me and her prior experience at Smithtown Landing Country Club and suggested doing some high and some low centerpieces. I was open to it and let me tell you it was the best decision I ever made.

Sonja and Black Dahlia were phenomenal to work with for our 5/20/22 wedding! From the moment I first spoke to Sonja over the phone, I knew we had to have them be the florist for our wedding! Extremely detailed and they really brought my vision to life! The flowers, centerpieces and bouquets were STUNNING! They provided 3 unique centerpieces for our wedding ceremony. We really could not be happier! Highly recommend them and are definitely using them for any and all future events I have! They are the best of the best!!

Sonja at the Black Dahlia was absolutely amazing! I hired this floral shop to do my wedding flowers and they did a beautiful job! I spoke with Sonja for over an hour going over my vision for my wedding flowers and she nailed it! Her impeccable taste for floral arrangements were perfect!! Everything looked gorgeous at my wedding from my wedding bouquet, to pew flowers, to my gorgeous sweet heart table arrangement! I love the Black Dhalia and so lucky to have found them!!

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Black Dahlia Flouriest for our May 2021 wedding. After so many covid hurdles and absolutely ridiculous quotes from other companies, Black Dahlis was a total pleasure to work with, in the wedding planning process. Fairly priced for absolutely stunning floral work. The team understood everything I had envisioned from our very first conversation and were so accommodating and responsive through out and right up to the day of our wedding. My flowers were a dream come true, I wish I could add pictures to this review because they were just so perfect!

Sonja and the Black Dahlia team are truly wonderful! They provided beautiful flowers for my small, intimate wedding in May 2021 and large wedding in September 2021. For September, they also put up incredible ceiling installations that were a literal dream come true. They were so kind and easy to work with, prompt, professional, generous, flexible, and highly talented. I would recommend them in a heartbeat!

Don’t let the 3 stars fool you, black dahlia was great to work with and our flowers were beautiful. It was very hard to communicate with them as they never answered any emails and were rarely available to talk on the phone. On the day of the wedding drop off was quick, the delivery girl barely explained whose bouquet was whose and that the ring bearers boutonnière had a clip on it. Which wouldn’t have been a problem except that the groomsmen were at a different location so we had to swap them out at the church. She did mention the maid of honors bouquet was significantly bigger and we would be able to tell it was hers, and they all seemed to be the same size so I don’t know that she had a “bigger” bouquet. My bouquet was supposed to be tear dropped and wasn’t what we pictured tear dropped to be, we thought it would have had flowers hung off the front of the bouquet but they took it as one side being more full..I don’t know, it was still a beautiful arrangement. Other than those things, they were accommodating to us as we had to cancel some things we could no longer afford from our original contract after Covid and we’re easily to rebook during the pandemic.

Sonja was amazing to work with and was so attentive listening to what my vision was. Everything came out perfectly and more than I had dreamed of!

Sheryl was extremely easy to work with and the flowers were beautiful and I loved my bouquet. She truly understood my vision only after a few phone calls. They were amazing

Black Dahlia Florists made our wedding SO beautiful! The bridal bouquet got many compliments throughout the night, and the ceremony decor was absolutely breathtaking. Sonja was so helpful during our first meeting for a bride that has very little knowledge about flowers. She pulled out different varieties so I could see what they would look like together. The final product was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Sonja was also a great communicator through email and phone, and always replied quickly.

I was totally blown away with the work Black Dahlia did for our April 30, 2021 wedding! For the initial consult, Sonja was on the phone with me for almost an hour discussing each flower that would go into the bouquets and centerpieces and going over my pinterest board. They really helped me stay within my budget, and were flexible with the contracts through covid and all the changing rules. The flowers the day of were perfect and fresh and were exactly what we were looking for!

I did a consultation over the phone with Sheryl as I am out of state, and even then I could get the impression that they know exactly what they are doing and I could trust them! everything came out beautiful and they really knew our venue so well. book them!!!

We were so pleased to meet and work with Sonja, especially after having a terrible experience with the florist we originally booked with. Upon meeting Sonja for our original meeting, we could tell she was in a league of her own, as she truly took the time to talk to us, gain an understanding of what we wanted, and even mocked something up on the spot to ensure she understood our vision. She was always very communicative and responsive, which was especially comforting during the postponement process due to the pandemic. She was also very real and blunt in what would put us over budget, and worked to stay within it. She managed to give us breathtaking arrangements that were practically straight from a Pinterest board, and I will never get over how stunning my bouquet was. The only reason I’m giving a 4 instead of a 5 (I would give a 4.5 if possible), is because we had battery operated candles delivered to the shop for some of our centerpieces and they weren’t returned to us with the flower delivery to our venue, and our flower girl petals were browning on the edges by the time the ceremony began. Still, I cannot recommend them enough and trust me, we did a lot of research in choosing our vendors! Sonja and the rest of the team is so knowledgeable and artistic in their floral arrangements, and you truly cannot go wrong!

Sonja and Black Dahlia were fantastic to work with! I spoke to 4 florists and her work speaks for itself. We had a long consultation and I found her very personable and thorough from start to finish. I gave her pics from Pinterest and told her we wanted whites, greenery and pops of dusty blue and she ran with it. We got our centerpieces, floral arch, bouquets and boutonnieres through her and everything was absolutely stunning and fresh the day of. I didn’t think I would care much about flowers but I ended up opting to spend MORE money to get them preserved - I was (and still am) obsessed!

Black Dahlia was absolutely wonderful to work with, especially during a pandemic! They met with us several times as we changed our venue 6 weeks before our original date and made it a micro wedding. Sheryl really did bring our vision to life and we couldn't be happier with how our flowers and decor turned out! We highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed!

When I first stopped into Black Dahlia, I had a vague idea of what I wanted but no idea how to articulate it. Sonja was incredibly patient with me and helped me figure out what I was looking for. When we had our final call before the day, she was so kind and reassuring even though I was an anxiety ridden train wreck. Then the flowers showed up for my wedding and I was absolutely blown away. My expectations were completely exceeded. When I let my guests know that they could bring centerpieces home, I turned around and they were all gone. I could not have been happier and I am so grateful.

I wish there was a zero star review. I just overheard the conversation with "the manager" and my wife about getting a refund on our flowers. Our wedding has been canceled twice due to covid and she was completely lacked empathy towards us. Two thumbs way down for her and her business.

After having to postpone my wedding twice I was extremely hopeful that Black Dahlia would be understanding to the consumer in regards to giving their money back when the event did not take place. The manager of Black Dahlia was rude and unwilling to issue a refund. They are holding a portion of our money for services that were not rendered. No flowers were ever made because the event is not taking place. They were also provided 2 months of notice that the event would be canceled. Would not recommend their business or services.

Sonja and Sheryl have been nothing short of fantastic passionate professionals. Extremely talented and passionate business owners who make some of the best floral pieces I’ve seen. The only thing more impressive than the bouquets, centerpieces and flowers for special occasions was the customer service. They are a class act, and will continue to trust them with all my floral needs.

Black Dahlia was absolutely amazing to work with. After having a troubling experience with a previous florist, I came to Sonja looking for her help less than 2 months before my wedding date, 12.21.19. At our first meeting, I described what I wanted, Sonja went into the back and came out a few minutes later with EXACTLY what I wanted and more. She went above and beyond to make my vision come true. Not only did she help me with my flowers, but she also perfected my place card table and was an overall help with any wedding questions I had. I cannot express what an artist Sonja truly is! She knew exactly the aesthetic I was going for after showing some initial inspiration tears from our planning process. She is super attentive and was responsive when we decided to add on more decorations and labor to our original wedding package at the Pavilion at Sunken Meadow. My mother expressed that we were interesting in having hanging fairy lights from the ceiling and they delivered! No one could stop talking about the lights as it really added to the entire atmosphere of our wedding. I am also beyond happy with how all the floral arrangements came out - from my bouquet especially, to the mixed centerpieces, to our arch floral decorations. A big thank you to the entire Black Dahlia staff for adding all the finishing touches to exactly how I wanted my wedding to be decorated!

Working with Sonja was a delight. She completely got my vision and everything came out perfectly the day of. The entry piece, our bouquets, the table designs, and every other little detail throughout the venue...it was all perfect. The final look of our king's table for dinner completely exceeded my expectations and I am still in awe of how it came out. Highly recommend this vendor for your floral & decor needs!!

Black Dahlia did the flowers for my bridal shower and wedding and I cannot say enough how much I love them and their work! Sonja was literally a godsend. She is the sweetest person, so easy to work with and she is really talented at what she does. Sonja was very patient with me as I figured out my vision and look for my wedding flowers. I went back and forth for a little while about what flowers to choose and was admittedly indecisive. I wanted to use sunflowers but they didn't really go with anything else I was drawn to, so I didn't really know what to do. Sonja patiently worked with me, made recommendations and ultimately helped me achieve the look I wanted for my wedding flowers. I let go of the idea of using sunflowers in the wedding, but she ended up using them in my bridal shower flowers which was such a meaningful surprise for me! The flower arrangements and bouquets she and the staff at Black Dahlia made for the wedding were seriously so gorgeous and just what I wanted. Everyone at the wedding was raving about the flowers, vases and the flowers on the cake. Their prices were also the best that I came across, and I interviewed 3-4 florists before deciding on them. But honestly, I would've paid a little extra if I had to because their designs are just so elegant and seriously beautiful. I've already recommended them to so many people and continue to use them for other events. Their work is classic, gorgeous, elegant and their prices are amazing, especially for the quality you get. In my opinion, they are the best and I would never hire anyone else! One of the best decisions I made throughout the whole wedding planning process was hiring them. I recommend them 1000%!

I would recommend Black Dahlia 1,000x to anyone and everyone. After getting into a minor debacle with my previous florist, I decided to switch to Black Dahlia just 3 weeks before my wedding. Sonja accommodated me last-minute, and made every effort to bring my vision to life. Her floral displays that she put together for my ceremony were out of my dreams, and I lost count of the number of compliments I received on our bouquets throughout the day. She is kind-hearted, straightforward, and truly a pleasure to work with. I will certainly be going back to her in the future should any need for florals arise!!

I was married on 10/18/19 and Sonja did such an incredible job on my flowers. I had been to so many florists and contacted so many to get quotes, but once I left my appointment with Sheryl I knew I had to book with them. I went into my meeting with photos of exactly what I wanted and Sheryl took the time to go through each photo, give suggestions, and mock up a small bouquet and centerpiece so I could really see everything come to life. You can tell they both so passionate about what they do. Sonja showed up on time all the way to house, venue, & ceremony site in Montauk. She was so sweet and everything looked fantastic. I worked with Sonja who was so easy to communicate with via e-mail including making our payments. I showed her pictures of what I wanted for my fall wedding and she nailed it. She stayed within my budget and the flowers were even more beautiful than the pictures I had in my head! All the bouquets were gorgeous and lasted overnight into the next day. Not one dead flower! Our centerpieces were so beautiful and very full. I had so many compliments from our guests. Sonja delivered the bouquets to me herself making sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend :)

I had a wonderful experience with Black Dahlia. Highly recommend them! This florist was included in my package at the Pavilion at Sunken Meadow. I’m not at all knowledgeable when it comes to flowers and had no idea what I wanted. They were so patient and helpful in helping me decide. They were also flexible with what to include in the package since my choices were pretty simple. They were accommodating when I asked to drop off table numbers and to make a last-minute change to my order. When the flowers arrived the day of my wedding, I was extremely pleased. The bouquets and centerpieces were perfect, delivery was on time, and overall it was a great experience with them.

Wonderful! Sonja was so helpful from our first meeting to the day of the event. My husband and I know nothing about flowers, but Sonja was able to work with our color-scheme and create a vision of our day. We just got our wedding photos and the ceremony arch, bouquets, and centerpieces added beautiful color to our wedding. Sonja was even able to incorporate shells for our beach wedding. We highly recommend this florist. The flowers lasted the entire night and still looked fresh.

They were so flexible and kind enough to let us use our own lanterns to help us stay within our budget. There were no issues coordinating a drop-off time and date for all of our items. They were even so kind to save one of the wreaths from our weddings when they found out our venue had disposed of the others AND they even created a small arrangement for us to keep of all of our greenery and flowers! I really can't say enough good words about Black Dahlia. My friend recommended them to me and I will continue to pass the word along, because they truly are amazing!

WOW!! Working with Sonja was the best and easiest experience during what can be a rather stressful and overwhelming process. Everything came together more beautiful than I could have every imagined. Her attention to detail is amazing and you can really tell he loves what she does. She goes above and beyond to make everything special and perfect. Sonja spends the time not just making something beautiful, but something that matches what you actually want / your vision.
