So many people came up to me to say how gorgeous everything looked, how this was the most beautiful wedding they'd ever attended, and how smoothly everything came together. And thank you for so efficiently handling the many boxes of umbrellas my daughter bought that, thankfully we didn't need, but that had to be loaded on the bus at the end of the evening. My husband and I got married at a separate location and it was super important to us that everything was set up and on time by the time that our guests got to our reception site. Little did I know the things that were going to happen that day. We ended being an ENTIRE HOUR behind schedule due to some family members running late but Lindsay and Katie stayed at our reception site to make sure that everything was okay there because some of our guests would be showing up way earlier than we would. She worked with the caterer and the rest of our vendors flawlessly to make sure that they accounted for this crazy delay. By the time we got there she not only had food and wine waiting for us in the bridal suite but she also made sure that the little details, such as getting our photographer to come in and take pictures of everything before people started coming in, were taken care of fast and efficiently. We researched and only considered the top wedding planners/coordinators we could find. After a year long experience with Lindsay and Katie, there is no doubt as to why Bliss Productions is ranked as one of the best of the best. On our initial phone conversation with Lindsay, she was genuinely warm, kind-hearted and personable, yet exuded the highest levels of professionalism, creativity, organization and expertise we were looking for in a coordinator. Throughout our year long process, Lindsay and Katie continuously kept in great contact, providing us with the ideal amount of email updates and phone conferences that kept us up to date without feeling bombarded, stressed or overwhelmed. And even though they had many other clients who kept them busy as well, they always made us feel like we were the only priority. It wasnt until a few months before the wedding when I had my food tasting with the venue did I get to meet her in person and she was all smiles and genuinely happy for me. My mom was complaining why I wasted so much money on hiring a full wedding planner when she could just help me instead. I knew if I got my mom or relative involved we would fight, I rather have a wedding professional whose been in the industry that knows what their doing and Lindsay did not disappoint. I would like to think I have great taste in pairing things and even things they suggested that I was initially unsure about ended up looking spectacular. Anytime I had any question, either of the two responded within hours if not minutes. They also always called to make sure I was comfortable with the details and plans. Even things that we were panicking about two days before, they were doing everything they could to help. Come day of, I’m not joking when I say this, my jaw dropped when I saw all of the decor and everything come together. I was shocked. I’m very hard to please and being a blogger, i expected everything to be picture perfect. I was so overwhelmed with joy and happiness that I had to excuse myself from the dance floor while we were dancing to take it all in. I remember walking to the corner and looking up and around at everything just smiling and feeling soo happy/content/satisfied. Again, I’m not joking when I say that it takes a lot to please me. I’ve never been so shook off something ever in my entire life. I don’t ever get mushy or fantasize (I’m a super realistic, practical, outlook kind of girl) and I said to myself... “I literally feel like Cinderella right now. I feel like a princess.” I don’t think those words will ever come out my mouth ever again nor did I ever think anything was ever capable of making me utter those words to myself to begin with. She had a specific and organized process by which she approached the planning, which I really appreciated because I'm not always the most organized. I tend to procrastinate so Lindsay was especially helpful in keeping me on track with what to do next. She immediately got to work with creating inspiration boards and showing me examples of the possibilities. We communicated frequently via calls, texts, and emails. I remember it coming as a semi-shock when I followed her in Instagram and saw all the other beautiful weddings she was doing. Thinking, "how does she have the time when she’s doing my wedding full time!” :-) She provided me with names and vendors to use for my flowers, photographer, linen rentals, etc…and with her help, I had the perfect wedding day. My flowers were the best part of my wedding (aside from marring the man of my dreams, of course ;-)), and I am still a little sad that they weren't a permanent take-away from that day. But because of the amazing photographer Lindsay found for me, Amanda McKinnon, I at least have the beautiful pictures of them! Lindsay and her assistant were calm, professional, and so very pleasant to have at my wedding. But it was followed closely by her attention to detail, hard work, constant communication, and complete follow through. hired to help the month of, she was never hesitant to answer any questions I had via email or phone conferences before the month of. She had great references for other vendors as well, especially friar tux! The week of she was so calm and did everything I asked including making notes about how I wanted everything set up, taking over communication with the venue (which was the Franciscan gardens in San Juan Capistrano) and contacting all my other vendors for itinerary and insurance info. She knew my venue very well so that was a comfort. The day of she just popped in every so often with little questions and when I saw the venue completely set up, it blew my mind to see it all come to life. She checked in at all the right times and kept the wedding right on track. Everyone had an amazing time and it was seriously the best night of our lives. m the first time I met Lindsay, she was always on the ball. She was everything that I wanted my planner to be: detail oriented, professional, and personable. Lindsay was also very flexible and understanding. My fiancé (now husband) had a very unpredictable work schedule and she was always willing to work with his schedule even if it meant having our meetings in the evening or weekends. Additionally, Lindsay was always on top of things. If she said she would take care of something, I didn't have to worry. She also helped come up with different ideas for our wedding, which I really appreciated. On the day of the wedding, I didn't worry at all because I knew Lindsay had everything under control. She met us on short notice and after asking my daughter a few questions about herself and her fiancé she captured what they wanted in regard to their wedding. “Romantic Garden” From that meeting on Lindsay was involved with all aspects of the wedding planning. Her introduction of the very best vendors; from the wedding invitations to the wedding / reception layout were phenomenal. She always offered a selection of vendors that fit into our price range and style. She was constantly in communication with all the vendors and us and if we had a questions or any concern she was just a phone call away. She is an organizational genius with a keen eye for the smallest details. Her timelines were so detailed and easy to follow. Her biggest contribution was handling the “day of” with a calm finesse, and a quiet velvet touch, keeping everyone on task in regard to the wedding party schedule, while being ever vigilant and on top of every preparation and execution of all the vendors. Lindsay has such a calm and relaxing way about her that was so reassuring to everyone. The wedding turned out so beautiful and stress free for all involved. She was so easy going, friendly and fun, but also very confident that the day would be perfect and that she would handle all the details. She listened carefully to our daughter’s vision of the day and it turned out even better than we could have imagined. She had frequent phone calls with us, and whenever we were in the area she would meet with us and keep us on track. The day was absolutely perfect - from the venue, to the decor, the rehearsal, the timing of the event and all the vendors that she lined up. She worked magic within our budget and everything looked and tasted top notch! It was so great to not worry about the details of the day, but just enjoy our family and friends together. Lindsay was able to take memories, colors and themes of items and places that are very special to us and transport them to the party location, making everything very personal to us both and reflective of the nearly 25 years we have known one another. We reviewed 7 different locations for the party. I think that Lindsay knew what location would be best all along, but she never let her opinions exclusively guide her….even though we did end up at the location that she felt most comfortable with. To be honest I have never used a party planner before and with my family life and work life commitments, I would never have been able to accomplish what Lindsay did, on my own.
