Bonbite NYC

We did tastings with a bunch of different places and I don’t think we could have found a more delicious, friendly, and accommodating team. We mainly worked with Kyley, Winston, and Amy throughout the process and they made everything as easy as possible for us. To start, we did a tasting with Kyley where the head chef Winston cooked up some dishes we had previously let him know we were interested in. All of the options sounded so delicious, it made it very difficult to narrow down our picks ;). They put together some really unique hors d'oeuvre for us like mini mac and cheese katsu sandwiches, fish and chips croquettes, and buffalo chicken silver dollars (among others!). The mains were all so good as well and were able to easily work with Winston to change the style of the beef a bit after the tasting to help perfect the taste we were looking for. I would also highly recommend the heirloom carrots with za'atar spice (they were so good!). Kyley and Amy were also super flexible in helping us find an alcohol package that best fit with our budget and what we were looking for. They suggested some places where we could purchase our own beer and wine (to help bring cost down) that we could deliver right to bonbit AND helped us come up with a specialty cocktail that was really fun tasting. The day of the wedding, Bonbite and their staff were simply amazing. Sarah and I were so busy talking to people that we almost didn’t have time to try any of the hors d'oeuvre, but one of the staff members brought us a sample tray and stayed with it to guard it from getting eaten by any one else (both our moms attempted and failed)! During and after the wedding so many people came up to us to comment on how delicious the food was and how attentive the staff was. The drink glasses were never empty :) It made us so happy to know that our friends and family were enjoying themselves and that Bonbite really helped us make that happen. Thank you so much Kyley, Winston, Amy, and the rest of the Bonbite team! If you’re looking for a caterer, you’ve found it!

Absolutely perfect, exceeded our expectations at every level, from the food quality (we wanted memorable and delicious wedding food, tall order), service night of, how responsive, kind and thoughtful they were from the tasting onwards, and how they respected our budget while over delivering in every way. Do yourself a favor and schedule a tasting, you'd be foolish to miss out on what these two are serving up.

Winston is the best. Hands down. I had a really eclectic idea for the food for my wedding, and Winston designed an amazing buffet that hit every detail perfectly. People are still talking about how amazing the food was. I'll be honest, its not cheap, but if you want excellent food that will keep your guests talking, go with Winston. He was incredibly professional, and answered all the questions I had in a timely manner. I cant stress enough how grateful I was for his work. You will not be disappointed!

I'm vegan and my partner is gluten-free, so we were worried about finding a catering company that would be able to put together an exciting menu within our dietary restrictions. When we first looked into Bonbite we weren't sure they'd be for us, as they also cook a lot of meat (they're not a specialty caterer) but I'm so glad we reached out. First of all, the food was amazing. We knew our guests would be skeptical of a vegan/gluten-free wedding, but there was a moment where the servers had to start lifting the platters of appetizers at the cocktail hour up high so they could get past the people who were mobbing them to get more! The family-style dinner was excellent, and they were incredibly accommodating to my good friend who has a serious nut allergy by bringing him special plates. Even more importantly, though, these are true and consummate professionals. Suzanne and Jess are friendly, phenomenal human beings who dot every i and cross every t. They knew the questions to ask me to make sure things ran smoothly, and they gave me advice when dealing with a venue that ended up being less-than-competent. This, I think, is crucial. We went with Bonbite because we loved the food, but we had tried other caterers where we also loved the food. But we got a sense from Suzanne right away that this was a woman who knew what she was doing, and who hired other people who knew what they were doing, and that that was what we needed for our wedding. Our space was small and required change-overs twice, and the kitchen space was less-than-ideal. Bonbite dealt with it with aplomb, even when things could have gotten disastrous. I honestly cannot recommend them enough, and was EXCITED to write this review ASAP. Thanks so much!!!

We so enjoyed working with the bonbite team for our wedding. They were nothing but helpful, enthusiastic and fully qualified to make our day such a special occasion. We live in England so wanted to have a few touches of home at our NY wedding and Winston was able to create a few classic british dishes for our main meal and canapes that were absolutely perfect - all of our british guests commented on how much they liked them. Not only were they great at meeting our creative requirements of trashy food done well for the canapes (the fried chicken and waffles were banging!), delicious and classic dishes for our main but they went above and beyond - really getting involved in the creative aspect of our day. They even helped us realise our dream of having flaming Baked Alaska sent to the table - without burning The Foundry down but making it super special for us and our guests. They were so patient and responsive, especially as I live abroad in the UK and was planning from with a five hour time difference - they were so flexible in regards to catch up calls and also in person meetings - ensuring we met up when I came back to NY to plan the wedding. They were also great at communicating with more than one person in the family especially as my Mom was doing some of the planning in NY. They even recommended our wedding planner Elodie from Tall & Small events - Bonbite along with Elodie was the perfect team to make our day delicious and seamless. Even after the wedding was over, they kindly took our excess booze back to their office in Brooklyn as our courier just simply couldn't fit anything more in his car to take back to our house. They really went above and beyond and we would definitely use them again for other family events. Claire the event manager was nothing but super helpful as well. Appreciate everything you guys did to make our day spectacular.
