Our wedding at The Bowery was an absolute dream come true, and I can't praise them enough for making our special day truly magical. From the breathtaking setting to the impeccable service, every detail exceeded our expectations.
Monica, the events coordinator, deserves special recognition. She was not only the most responsive person throughout the entire planning process but also an absolute joy to work with. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine enthusiasm made the journey smooth and enjoyable. Monica's expertise and dedication were evident in every interaction, turning our vision into a reality.
The venue itself is nothing short of spectacular. The stunning backdrop provided by the Bowery was particularly enchanting during the winter season, creating a magical atmosphere that left our guests in awe. The attention to detail in the venue's design and the seamless coordination of the event spaces made for a flawless celebration.
Our heartfelt thanks to Monica and the entire team at Bowery for making our wedding day perfect in every way. If you're looking for a venue that combines elegance, professionalism, and winter charm, look no further. The Bowery and Monica truly set the standard for excellence.
We are SO GLAD we decided to get married at the Bowery. Sabrina is truly incredible!!. She went above and beyond time and time again. The space was stunning and our guests were blown away by both the indoor and outdoor spaces, the food, and the staff!
I will warn that the hotel runs separately from the event space and barely offers a discount on the bridal suite (which was insanely expensive and had a 2-night minimum) or the room blocks which was rather upsetting given how much we spent to have our wedding here. But honestly, even with that, 10/10 would do it again and highly recommend it!!
I attended a wedding here as a guest and I would caution other brides who care about their wedding meal, as our whole table agreed it was the worst, blandest wedding food we had ever eaten. The portions are very small, nothing was seasoned, and the poor vegetarians were saddled with a pile of rubbery, cold polenta. Even the first course, a salad, was barely edible and was mostly a pile of extremely bitter watercress with one pecan and one apple slice each. The staff cannot handle a larger wedding and so we were all forced to get up and leave the dining room for "dance breaks" before every course while we waited for them to serve. Food had clearly been left out for a while before serving; the main course was not served until 8:30pm. Staff stopped filling water glasses after the main course and people were filling them in the bathrooms. At the end of the night we watched a staff member place his hand on the bride and forcibly start to push her out of the room so they could close up, which I felt was inappropriate. They also closed off the reception space the second the music ended, and people still had their phones and purses at their seats and had to find staff to unlock the doors again. I normally would not leave such a review but I was shocked to learn the cost of renting this venue on their website and I absolutely do not feel it is worth the money. You are paying for the decor and style of the venue, nothing more.
Our wedding at the Bowery Hotel was an absolute dream come true. We hunted throughout NYC to find a venue that had the aesthetic we were looking for, and the Bowery was unmatched by anything else we saw.
It's such a beautiful space, the fireplace, the flooring, the details throughout are so unique and intricate, and there is a romantic, moody atmosphere that was perfect for our wedding.
Amanda, our event coordinator was such a pleasure to work with, and did so much to accommodate us not just during our wedding weekend, but for the whole year before. When our day finally came, she was flawless in facilitating every detail, so we could finally relax and not worry about a thing. Joel, who handles all the room bookings, was incredibly professional and helpful, and gave us a glimpse of the kind of service to expect at this venue/hotel.
The hotel suites are so beautiful and the hotel staff is insanely good at what they do. They were a step ahead of us, at every moment, almost preemptively thinking of ways to make our stay more comfortable. We truly felt like royalty. The entire wait staff of the venue puts every other restaurant experience that I've ever had to shame. And every guest was RAVING about the synchronized service, and the melt-in-your-mouth food.
The timing of the entire evening was impeccable, and everything happened exactly when it was supposed to. This place is a well-oiled machine, and I truly am astonished by the way they do weddings. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a venue in NYC. WORTH. EVERY. PENNY.
Amanda is the most helpful and fun person to work with. Any suggestions from her, I'd recommend taking! The venue itself has a few different possible floorplans you can do, all are awesome... really depends on how you want to spend your evening. The food is delicious - our friends remarked that they had never had such great "wedding food!" Was an easy choice and would highly recommend. Only thing is we chose the chicken because of its gorgeous plating (and fantastic taste). On the actual night, it was not plated as we had been told it would be. We're not sure if that's how it always goes (we were told it would look the same as the tasting) or if perhaps something went wrong and they were problem solving. Nobody else noticed except for us... so, not a big deal.
My husband and I had some bad luck with our venues for our wedding. Luckily when our first venue fell through in late January 2018, the Bowery Hotel had an opening for our date (August 18, 2018). It also happened to be the most popular wedding date of the year.
Once connected to Amanda and her team at the Bowery Hotel, they made the wedding we were almost done planning fall neatly into the Bowery Hotel. They worked with us - were responsive to my many emails and were incredibly accomodating.
Things to note:
I don't think you need to decorate outside
The team knows their space really well, listen to them.
Do a per consumption bar
Downside:
They don't do room blocks (this is a pain when most of your wedding is coming in from out of town).
There isn't a bridal suite (but they were accomodating, when we asked for our planner to check in for us and had food upstairs right after the ceremony for us to eat).
Overall - thank you Amanda and Jess for helping to make our day special and easy!
I had my wedding at the Bowery Hotel this weekend, and they exceeded my expectations in absolutely every way. Amanda Len and her team are absolute pros, and everything was executed so perfectly, it exceeded my wildest expectations. From the incredible cocktails, to the food by Gemma, to the gorgeous hotel rooms and accommodating staff - I knew why I'd fallen in love with the venue, but we fell in love all over again twice as hard that day. It was the best day of our lives, and I can't thank the team at the Bowery enough. WE LOVE YOU!
