We had our wedding reception at the DuPont Country Club in Wilmington, DE. Staff was very helpful in making this was stress free and enjoyable by all. Very supportive!
Kayla and the team at Brantwyn Estate were amazing to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process, from booking our date in September 2023 to our wedding day in October 2024. Their communication was always responsive, detailed and consistent, putting us at ease every step of the way. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful - our guests kept raving about the unique and special space, as well as the food. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. I can't recommend having your wedding here enough!
Brantwyn is an amazing venue. The house and grounds are beautiful. The food is impecable. And the staff worked with us through the whole process. Kayla coordinated everything from start to finish, Blanca made sure the day went flawlessly, and Ken added in the foods that made our wedding truly special.
We were initially concerned about having our wedding guest split between rooms as opposed to 1 large ballroom, but it worked great. Guests circulated. Those who wanted a quiet area to talk could easily find one while the party animals danced in another part of the house.
We held our reception at Brantwyn and are so glad we did. We had about 70 guests and the space was perfect. So many of our guests commented on how good the food was and how awesome the house was. The team, especially Kayla Winters, is great at making the process leading up to and on the day of your event feel less stressful. Would absolutely recommend holding your event here!

Kayla and the rest of the team at DuPont CC were wonderful and helped us have such a beautiful wedding at Brantwyn. We had a rainy day, and the team was wonderful with accommodating an indoor wedding. We were so pleased with the service from everybody from DuPont CC - they exceeded all of our expectations!

Our wedding at Brantwyn is everything I could have ever imagined. Kayla and Yee were a dream. Not only was this one of the most affordable venues we toured, it was beautiful of every way. I received countless compliments on the venue and the food. I am so happy I chose Brantwyn estate and have no regrets!
We absolutely loved our experience having our wedding at Brantwyn. Kayla was wonderful to work with, very responsive and helpful, and made the process of planning a wedding seem much less daunting. We really appreciated the walkthroughs and the tasting. The catering on the day of was delicious, and everything was set up beautifully. They took the time to make sure we understood what all our options were and that they knew how we wanted things set up, and they executed it wonderfully.
Beautiful venue! We had an outside wedding with 70 guests in August, and everything was just perfect. The ceremony and grounds, the cocktail hour, dinner, and dessert table were fantastic. We had so many compliments on the venue and wedding. Kayla and Seve were so wonderful to work with as well! Highly recommend Brantwyn for the ceremony and/or reception!
Beautiful and historic venue that was perfect for the event
We had our wedding at the Crystal Ballroom at DuPont Country Club and it was an amazing experience! We were so impressed with the professionalism of everyone we encountered. Kayla was so helpful at every step in the process. Whenever we had any questions she was always available to answer them which was so reassuring during the stressful planning process! We also loved our day-of coordinator Seve. He met with us several days before our wedding to confirm all of the details we wanted for the ceremony and reception and he was there all day on our wedding day to help coordinate our other vendors and ensure we had a smooth process. I can honestly say that I didn't have to worry about a single thing during my wedding morning and got to have a great time getting ready with my bridesmaids! We were a little nervous booking this venue at first because we had never experienced the caterer's food, but they did not disappoint! We had so many compliments on the food, and I would highly recommend the crab cakes-they were delicious! The DuPont team handled everything and I don't think we could have asked for a better experience for our wedding. I would recommend this venue to anyone!
We got married at the Brantwyn in August 2023. The ceremony was outdoors. It was beautiful! I was so happy with everything. The food was amazing, and the cake was beautiful! Kayla Winters was very helpful through the whole process.
We had our ceremony and reception at Brantwyn Estate on June 12, 2022 and there isn't a thing that we would have changed. Brantwyn is beautiful and the staff couldn't have been easier to work with. Kayla, Ashley, and Rebecca were responsive, flexible, and supportive through the entire process. As the day approached, the weather was predicted to be rainy and stormy. Our entire event was going to be outside. Kayla, Ashley and Rebecca helped us create a rain plan that worked for everyone and were very receptive to our nontraditional ideas! Luckily, the weather turned out to be perfect. It rained in the morning but we were determined to have our ceremony outside. They were more than understanding and did everything they could to make that happen. The process was made so easy by the Brantwyn team that we did not have any wedding day anxiety that things were going to go wrong. Kayla, Ashley, Rebecca and the rest of the staff at Brantwyn were incredible, we couldn't have asked for a better wedding day. We would recommend Brantwyn Estate to every couple looking for a beautiful and worry free wedding.
We had a great experience with our wedding at Brantwyn. Kayla is wonderful to work with and answered all of our questions as they came up. Everything was well-organized and coordinated from the beginning so we never had to worry about how things would come together. Our banquet captain Pete was also excellent and executed the event very well. Brantwyn is beautiful inside and out and all of our guests loved it. We were really impressed when an unexpected rainstorm arrived just minutes before our ceremony- the Brantwyn team pulled together with our other vendors and quickly offered us multiple great alternative plans. We ended up having an intimate ceremony under the covered porch area, which was so perfect and memorable.
I cannot overstate how much of a positive experience we had with the Brantwyn Estate. The Estate is beautifully maintained and perfectly set up for a wedding. I know a lot of brides/grooms wouldn't appreciate that the space isn't one big room, but I PROMISE you it was a HUGE WIN. I have had so many guests tell me how much they loved that they could sit and eat or talk longer and not have to yell over the music. We also loved that we had two rooms for guests and got to move between them from dinner to dessert. It was so fun to have a room filled with friends who were loud and boisterous, and a room for family that allowed for more talking and catching up. Even though it rained heavily on our wedding day, we still got beautiful pictures. If it hadn't rained, the photos would have been incredibly perfect. The gardens are beautiful.
Okay, let's talk about the staff. I CANNOT recommend this team of professionals more. Kayla and her team made our day perfect in every way. The whole process from venue selection to the day of was smooth and she answered every question I had. Even the difficult ones like "what are the measurements of the fireplaces". She took the time that day to go measure them. It was a pleasure working with them. On the day of I could not have asked for a smoother or more beautiful day and that is because of the Brantwyn and DuPont CC team.
Lastly, the price can't be beaten! Book it now!!
I truly cannot say enough good things about my entire experience working with the team at DuPont Country Club and Brantwyn. Because of COVID, we had to switch venues barely six months ahead of our wedding date, and I will forever be thankful that those plans did change. Our first sales manager was wonderful—friendly, extremely responsive and helpful, and made sure to get all initial planning matters and meetings set as quickly as possible given how close to our wedding date we were—and then even after she switched to a different role a couple weeks after signing our contract and we started working with our new sales manager, the entire process was a breeze. Working with Kayla was an absolute delight. I had approximately a million questions, and she not only always had an answer, but answered all of them usually hours later. She kept me in the loop or notified me of upcoming meetings and items due, was incredibly kind, professional, and organized, and made the overall stress of planning a wedding infinitely easier. The day-of staff was no different. Pete was a delight. He kept the flow of the day moving exactly on schedule, from the rehearsal to the actual ceremony to the reception events. I DIYed the majority of my decor, and everything was set up clearly with care, and I truly couldn't have done a better job, which means a lot coming from someone who struggles with not being in control of certain things. We never had to worry about where we needed to be when because he always kept us in the loop and gave us warning times throughout the day, which was so nice not to have to worry about so me and my bridesmaids could just enjoy our morning getting ready. The serving staff was also extremely kind and professional. The food was delicious, the estate was beautiful, and I truly felt like the staff cared about me, my bridal party, and making sure I had the best day possible, which I absolutely did.
We had our wedding at the Brantwyn Estate and it was AMAZING. You can't go wrong with the world renowned duPont Hospitality! From first touring the estate to going over the menu and different customizations to the actual day of, there is nothing I would say other than I have no regrets and to this day, reflect on how much of a dream my wedding was. The staff at the duPont Country Club was amazing and was so attentive to our needs and the needs of our guests the day of and planning with their wedding coordinator, Erin, was so easy. She was very attentive and worked with us up to the very day on details that we wanted or any changes we had. Our day of Captain, Paula, and her team were amazing the day of with trying to keep us on time and we were/are very happy with the service and experience. Thank you so much!
Our wedding was absolutely beautiful at DuPont Country Club. Diane who has since left, was so kind and always made sure we had everything we needed when planning. Paulette was our day of coordinator and she was fabulous! Everything was absolutely wonderful including the food. There were also a lot of opportunities for pictures outside. I would highly recommend.
After over a year of planning our wedding at Brantwyn and thousands of dollars being spent, my fiancé and I have been made aware that they had no record of almost $4,000 worth of transactions. We are just shy of 3 months away from our wedding day and are having to completely start over. We went from planning the wedding of our dreams to moving our date, going from 100+ guests to barely 30. We’ve lost out on money paid to other vendors because we had to cancel our plans. To make matters worse, the owner and CFO have basically told us that they are not responsible for the money and that we are still responsible for 35% of our agreed upon minimum. If you go with Brantwyn or the country club, PLEASE make sure you are present when transactions are being made. Do not use the credit card authorization forms. Even though we have receipts from the wedding coordinator, we are still being told that they are not responsible for anything.
Our wedding day from beginning to end happened at Brantwyn, and I cannot say enough about the incredible service and attention to detail provided by Diane and Mary and their teams to make our wedding ceremony and reception everything we dreamed it would be. The historic manor and gardens are gorgeous and were the perfect backdrop for our celebrations. I highly recommend considering Brantwyn for big day, you will not be disappointed!

They were so helpful and there every step of the way to answer questions and give suggestions when needed. The food was amazing and the service was impeccable! We had an amazing wedding reception at Brantwyn in October, 2017. All of the staff were so helpful both during the planning process and the day of. I was also very impressed with the value of the venue. It was very reasonably priced, and the quality of the food and drink was top-notch. We were able to pull the reception off without a wedding planner as the venue was all-inclusive (even our beautiful cake!). We enjoyed being able to use both the indoor space and the outdoor space as well. The gardens are beautiful!

Our wedding day at Dupont Country Club was perfect and everything we wished for. The grounds were green and blooming for our outside guests on the deck and our photographers had a blast with posing us for beautiful pictures. The filet was the hit of the night, along with our 9-piece funk band that fit perfectly in the ballroom and large enough for all of our guests to dance comfortably. My husband even got a free round of golf, which was very important to him. I can't thank Diane, the Catering Sales Manager, and Judy, the Captain for the evening, enough for making our day the most memorable and special. For listening to our every wish and making it happen. I highly recommend them to anyone! Thanks Dupont!
From the minute we called and talked to Diane, I knew that our wedding was going to be in the right hands. Diane listened to what we wanted and guided us through the entire process. Brantwyn was absolutely beautiful and we had so many compliments on the staff, setting and the overall beauty of the estate. Our wedding was on a Sunday afternoon and the setting was perfect. I could not be happier with my experience with Brantwyn. The food was spectacular too! Thank you to Diane and Paulette for making our day just absolutely memorable and beautiful!
From start to finish, Shawn and I had a wonderful experience with DuPont CC and Brantwyn Estate.
For our wedding, we wanted the feel of an intimate, elegant house party. Brantwyn was the natural choice for us. The Georgian Revival architecture, beautifully appointed interiors, and gardens lent our wedding an air of sophistication, while also maintaining a comfortable atmosphere for the big event!
The service and support was absolutely professional. Diane, our sales coordinator, helped us work out every pre-wedding detail from start to finish. She was attentive to our needs, and responsive to all of our questions and concerns. Mary, our banquet captain, made sure that our wedding day events progressed smoothly and flawlessly. Shawn and I were planning our wedding from well out-of-town, and both of these women went out of their way to make sure that they could meet our needs from a distance, and took extra time out of their schedules when we were in town to make sure that they could prepare the best possible experience for us. Both of these women are consummate professionals. We highly recommend them for any couple considering this venue.

We had our vow renewal at Brantwyn Estate. Breathtaking is selling it short in my opinion of this venue. It is enchanting, beautiful, memorable, etc. It was so incredible that all of our guests were saying it was the best wedding that they've been to. It's almost as if your in an episode of Downton Abbey. It's vintage, classy, elegant, etc. It is pure decadence and will leave you wanting to re-do your wedding over, and over, again. Every room is so lovely, down to where the bridal party get ready, up a winding staircase into beautiful rooms with spectacular grounds to look down upon. Diane McClosky was our main coordinator and she is detail-oriented, smart, efficient, and makes sure she doesn't miss any of the to-do's. Thank you so much Diane, and to the day of coordinators, as well. You have no need for a wedding planner if you decide on Brantwyn, they take care of everything, including your beautiful cake, an overnight stay at the opulent Hotel DuPont, as well as a free golf outing for your husband and 3 of his buddies! My husband and our family cannot say enough about the service and oustanding staff at Brantwyn. We did not have a single problem, glitch, error nothing! As members of DuPont Country club we wanted to keep our wedding local. It was everything we asked for.
The DuPont Country Club was amazing from start to finish! The communication with the staff preparing for the wedding was impeccable. We had to have a plan A and plan B based on our guest count and the team was able to do mock ups of the rooms and really worked hard to meet our needs and accommodate our guests.
The food was amazing. Our guests are still raving about the décor, elegance, food and hospitality received at the venue.
I highly recommend this venue for someone who is super detail oriented and needs a lot of communication and attention to details. I did not have any issues with set up, break down, working with my other vendors etc. It was an absolutely perfect venue, perfect team (Jim, Katie, Val Jean) made our experience the best we could ask for!
I can't say enough great things about Brantwyn, not only was the estate itself immaculate, but the staff was so helpful. Our day of coordinator Jim, was awesome! The DuPont collection definitely does a ton to ensure the grounds and gardens are just beautiful. We did our wedding mostly outdoors, but even the rooms inside are stunning and worth every penny.
If you are looking for a wedding minus the ballroom/ reception hall feel then you need to check out the brantwyn estate. You get the whole 6 acres to yourself for your event so no country club golfers in the background. Their wedding packages include everything you could need (also pricing includes the gratuity and no sales tax in DE. They are very flexible if you need to work with a budget. Our photos turned out great with the estate providing so many different areas close together so pictures could be done fast. We had our ceremony outside in the lower garden and the reception in both the boxwood and essonne rooms. Only downside to this place is the dinning rooms are separate so everyone isnt eating in the same room. Once dinner is over and guest begin mingling again that is something that is soon forgotten.
After looking at the other two DuPont venues (the Hotel and the Country Club) as well as countless venues in England where we live, we picked Brantwyn and were so happy with the outcome. The place is beautiful enough that it didn't need any over the top decorations which was great for our budget, and felt so classy with the simple touches of flowers (which we reused from the ceremony), framed pictures, and the candles that they provided. With our numbers, it made sense to go with a package, for what we paid it included open bar, a fantastic meal and h'ordeovures, a delicious and beautiful cake, as well as below half price rooms at the Hotel DuPont which everyone said was one of the most luxurious hotels we have ever stayed in...I know it was for me, especially the Bridal Suite!
Jenna was our coordinator and was so great on email (especially since I was only able to meet with her in person once living so far away!) and answered every question I asked and provided great guidance. Our wedding captain, Harry, was good as well, and while there were certain things that happened on the wedding day (bad weather, spending too much time with guests and not enough with each other) that would have been great to have a contingency plan for, he made sure that nearly everything was executed like we wanted to. For instance, when Buker Limo abandoned our bridal party at the church and we had to start 45 minutes late, they let us dance for two more songs past our contracted time that were really important to us.
Finally, we felt especially lucky to have chosen this venue as it poured rain on our wedding day, and we had this whole historic home with unique rooms to explore ourselves...I know that weather would have had a greater impact in a traditional venue with one large room and a dance floor in the middle. I would definitely recommend Brantwyn for any bride expecting between 75 and 125 guests. It was just lovely :)
Great service and set up for my big day!
We held our wedding ceremony in the Lower Garden of Brantwyn Estate. The weather, although HOT, was sunny and bright and the garden setting was just what we wanted. The house itself is historic and is just a beautiful backdrop for the whole day. The night before, we met with the wedding ceremony coordinator, (ask for HARRY!), who was very professional, to the point, and organized. Harry was very good with helping to organize family and bridal party into the right spots, directing the timing, and answering any questions we had. On the wedding day, we were given rooms upstairs for changing and getting ready for the ceremony, with fruit, veggies, cheese & crackers, and beverages. Harry was on hand to help with any last-minute requests and help us start on time. After the ceremony, we were able to have some light refreshments for our guests before heading over to the reception at the Hotel du Pont (which I also highly recommend). We did not choose to have the reception at Brantwyn due to the size of our guest list (110). The setup for receptions is different in that there are several rooms where your guests will be seated, a separate room for the bar, and a separate room for the dance floor. Which if you have a small wedding, isn't bad, but just didn't work for our size. Brantwyn is a beautiful location and has professional staff. If you are looking to have an outdoor garden ceremony, with the backdrop of an historic estate and mansion, this is it!
Had the best organizer- Jenna- was so helpful along the way. Even though it rained 2 mins after we said I Do, it certainly didn't put a damper on the experience. Intimate setting, loved every minute!
Oh and food was amazing, no complaints!
I recently had my wedding at the Dupont Country Club and I have to say, it was fantastic. There was not a flaw in the execution of the evening and I greatly appreciated the staff's professionalism and expertise. Jenna, my wedding coordinator, was fantastic and answered my emails the day I sent them. Everything was great including the food (we had SO many compliments on the quality, when you order filet, you get a filet!), the bartenders (definitely not stingy!), the cake (unreal), and the service (some of my guests were on a first name basis by the end of the evening with their servers!).
If you're looking for an elegant venue who will bend over backwards to make sure you have the wedding of your dreams, book DCC!
This venue was so awesome if you are not into the ballroom scene and into the alice in wonderland/ romantic/ private arena. Beautiful gardens and architecture with a vintage feel.In addition to having our first dance on the grass to the spectacular service and food. The service here is the true definition of service. Everyone is delightful and ready to run for you on the drop of a dime. Also, the services offered within the package were better than countess venders I looked at in NJ and PA. No complaints!
we had our reception in the crystal ballroom..it was awesome. Food was very good! If you have the dessert station on the outer terrace, make sure they announce it....a lot of our guests missed it!! Cocktail hour in the outer terrace is a little too narrow (we had 150 guests)- probably better to have it in one of the other rooms.
we got Married and had our recpetion at the Brantwyn Mansion site near the Country Club. Service was spot on and the gardern we got married in were beautiful!
Brantywn is a beautiful venue and the food was fantastic. We shopped around for other venues and I believe that for this type of venue this was a great value - we were able to have 3 dinner stations plus about 10 appetizers, open bar, and a dessert table for the price of 1 station (et al) at some of the other places. The coordinator for the wedding the day of and just before was outstanding - he made sure everything was perfect and went off without a hitch. The only reason it's not 5 stars all around is that the sales department that you deal with until just up until a week or so before the wedding is a little inflexible - I don't think it was the actual sales staff, I believe it was the head of that department who makes somewhat outrageous policies and refuses to be reasonabl. for example, we wanted to bring water bottles for the outdoor ceremony in june for the guests, but that wasn't allowed. ok, fine, they want to make money, so we settled for pitchers of water. then our captain suggested we could have lemonade too, which sounded great - until the head of the sales dept informed us that 1 gallon of lemonade would cost $32!! like we don't go to the grocery store and know it costs $3 there?? so there was a bit of that going on, but only with more minor details, and everything else was truly wonderful. i would highly, highly recommend this venue!
I had my reception at the DuPont Country Club. They were spectacular and I felt like I was a princess in a fairy tale. I got married on a Sunday and they even gave me a 20% discount off - all I did was ask!!!! Everything was perfect - the decorations, the food, the ballroom, the waitstaff, my coordinator. It was a dream come true:-)
The DuPont Country Club was a wonderful venue. The staff is easy to work with and willing to accommodate to create the wedding of our dreams! We had the ability to have outdoor cocktail hour overlooking the golf course, but a more formal indoor reception... it was the best of both worlds! They allowed us to have a carefree and phenomenal wedding!
