DO NOT CONSIDER THIS PLACE FOR ANY IMPORTANT EVENT. Don’t expect them to take the initiative to communicate with you about your order and its delays unless you reach out to them yourselves to find it out by surprise.
Lack of professionalism from staff about delays and ordering process altogether to get the suit we needed to be on time for our wedding. We ordered a suit a few months before the wedding and were told that usual pickup/ fitting time is about a week or so before the event date. We noticed our receipt had said our pickup date was for a DAY before the wedding and called to remedy the situation as we already told the staff we would not be not want to cut it close and we were not accommodated when they realized they made a mistake. The staff said they “assumed the wedding was on a weekend” so the information they gave us about our intended pickup was inaccurate and the order was mistakenly placed at the wrong timing. We felt very poorly taken care of as customers in the sense of staff recognizing the mistakes on their part and lack of urgency they had to help us. To make matters worse the associates lacked professionalism finding records of the purchase of the suit and instead of communicating there was more delay with the suit delivery, my husband had to find out through chance because he had called multiple times to see if they actually were telling the truth about him being able to pick up his suit and found out the information without even being contacted immediately when they knew. On one of his calls the associate even told him his suit would be ready on a completely different day AFTER our wedding. The delivery mishap caused our schedule for our wedding to be delayed and the suit had to be picked up on the day OF OUR WEDDING. All that was provided was a “sorry for the inconvenience” no further help or effort to remedy the horrible service they provided.
I got the perfect tuxedo for my wedding. Black pant with cobalt blue jacket and vest with a bow tie. I got so many compliments on it. Thanks for helping with my vision.
I chose Bridal and Tuxedo Galleria for my wedding dress because I wanted to buy a dress from a non-chain boutique and wanted a more private experience of choosing my dress with my bridesmaids. All the dresses in the store were lovely. I fell in love with the Mori Lee 12133 dress, which was super comfortable and regal for my church wedding/museum reception. The ladies in alterations were super friendly as well. All alterations to my dress - mainly a reduction in size to the corset and addition of pads to not use a bra - were done magnificently. The bustle was also very well done and was super easy to place during the wedding. I highly recommend all brides consider buying your wedding gown here, especially if your price range is between $1-3K for the dress.
Everything perfect!! In love with my dress
This review is specifically about alterations and cleaning as I loved my shopping experience here. My consultant, Kayla, deserves 5 stars. But my overall experience here was overshadowed by the bad.
Do NOT get alterations or cleanings here. Take your beautiful dress elsewhere. The alteration team did a subpar job and was extremely overpriced compared to other places I got quotes from. During my fittings, I expressed concerns with various areas but they ignored them and told me it was supposed to be like that. I ended up having to take my dress elsewhere to get the necessary adjustments. Then, during my steaming appointment they lost my detachable sleeves and claimed it was my fault and that I never brought them in. When I called about the issue, they were unwilling to help. Overall extremely disappointing after such a great initial shopping experience.
Absolutely loved my experience finding my wedding dress here! I picked the store since it had many dress designers I was interested in. When I arrived, my party and I had the entire store to oursleves for our appointment. Their store was perfect for all the bridal feels. The dress I ended up saying YES to was one that Gloria picked out for me and thought I would like. She encouraged me to try it on and it was the ONE! I got my wedding dress and veil from here and couldnt be happier!
This place is great, but the service is amazing! I highly recommend Gloria for your appointment, she was super sweet, patient, and supportive and helped me find the perfect dress. She’s the best.
The staff here are incredibly kind and helpful. The alterations department did an outstanding job making my vision for my dress come true. The fittings were easy and quick, and the store is very transparent with pricing and services. My original consultant was Gloria and she was great. I am so happy that I found my perfect dress at Bridal & Tuxedo Galleria!
You will not regret getting your dress here! Found my dress on my first time looking, everyone that works here is super friendly and helpful.
The best part is they do in house alterations and steaming!
My wife and I absolutely loved our entire experience here. We are a lesbian couple. I needed a dress and she needed a suit. Devina was amazing in helping me pick the perfect gown. She was friendly and professional and a huge help. Enrique was a huge help on my wife’s part, finding a “men’s” suit to fit a woman is no easy task but he did it. He also helped make sure her bridesmaids looked dapper AF in their outfits as well! The seamstresses did a phenomenal job on my alterations for my dress and my wife and her bridesmaids alterations for their suits as well. They made sure everything was perfect so that we looked our absolute best on our big day. We really appreciated how they took care of everything right there in the shop for us, it just made everything easier and stress free.
I appreciate the help of wedding consultant,
Gloria. She was a great help in chosing my dress. The dress was beautiful.
Bridal and Tuxedo Galleria made wedding dress shopping so much easier. I looked into Bridal and Tuxedo because they are one of few stores in area that carried the designer I was looking for (Madeline Gardner MoriLee) and they had a wide variety. The plus was that they carried suits too so it was like a one stop shop for my fiancé and I. Both my fiancé and I had been to several other stores before visiting Bridal and Tuxedo and we both ultimately decided to work with them. Enrique was great with helping my fiancé's vision come together and my bridal consultant GLORIA, o she was amazing with me!! I cannot give her enough praise! She was the real reason why I decided to get my dress from this store. There was another store that had the dress I wanted and it was a little cheaper there BUT I still chose this place. I truly felt a connection with Gloria while shopping with her. I showed her the dresses I liked, we tried them on. What I loved most was her honest opinion and she gave me her undivided attention. She just made me feel so special and so comfortable. I loved every moment of the shopping experience with her. Another thing, my mom doesn't live here in CA, so she wasn't able to go dress shopping with me but honestly, having Gloria there really added that motherly touch. The store itself is a nice intimate boutique and so organized!! That was another huge plus!! 1) They have this little area with iPads where you can sit and go through all of the dress in the store to select what you want to try 2) There is a picture on every dress bag, with the style # and everything so it makes it so much easier to locate things. And you want to see everything they have before your appointment you can because everything on their website, they have in the store. I loved that, it saves you from having to call places to see if they have what you are looking for. None of the other stores I went to were as organized, I loved how easy they made what I thought was gonna be an overwhelming experience, so simple for me. I highly recommend Bridal and Tuxedo, they will definitely take care of you!! I am so excited to go through this process with them.
I had such a perfect fairtytale wedding dress experience here! We made an appointment and the staff was super friendly, we didn't have to wait long for anything, any of the four times we went in between fittings, pickup and alterations. Gabby helped me pick the dress the first time, and she managed to bring me EXACTLY what I was looking for based on my description, she did a better job than any of the bigger wedding stores in the area which we went to first. I was enchanted by the Mori Lee of my dreams, and they worked with me to price match a larger store that we had gone to before. They even had an adorable "say yes" moment they do. The alterations team was awesome, and were honest with me that I needed no alterations at all, which would have made them money but they just wanted me to have the best fit possible. I love this place, definitely choose it over other local options! They were the most professional and nicest around.
The Bridal and Tuxedo Galleria team are amazing! Janet helped me find the perfect dress for my beach wedding. The dress was incredible, it came in on time and the alterations were perfect. I live in Seattle and was getting married in San Diego, so they really went above and beyond to work with my schedule for fittings and alterations, and kindly stored my dress until the week of my wedding. Highly recommended!
I had a beyond amazing experience @ Bridal and Tuxedo Galleria. Although my salesperson was specifically Janet, Estela, Cynthia, and Gloria were also consummate professionals. You know how you want to feel as though you’re the most beautiful bride-to-be they’ve ever seen? (LOL) Well, they create that experience. I found a discounted sample that was immaculate—not handled and damaged, like at some other stores—and Janet took her time with me. I was there about 2 hours, and fortunately, found “the dress” on the first stop! Still went elsewhere, just in case, but it only confirmed for me how special B&T G is.
Follow up appointments for fittings and additions (bustle, cups, adjustments that required redoing beadwork on the bodice) were easy to schedule. Although it did ultimately increase my bottom line by a chunk, I felt I was in good hands, and decided that I wanted the dress of my dreams to look like it had been designed for me. The way I looked on the wedding day, it most certainly did! I have nothing but love for the staff at Bridal and Tuxedo Galleria.
This was an amazing experience! Gloria was personal and friendly and even made some of her own dress suggestions. She helped make me feel important for the big day and big decision of buying a dress. When I had a fitting and when I picked up my dress the staff was kind, friendly, and so personable. Totally recommend this place!
We used Bridal and Tuxedo Galleria for my wedding dress as well as the attire for my husband and the men in the wedding party. When I went in for my first dress appointment, my consultant found a lot of great options that fit my style and price range (and she let me know if they exceeded the price I planned to spend). She provided great customer service and I was able to find the perfect dress (which was a relief after two unsuccessful appointments elsewhere). The staff is extremely friendly, but not always efficient. I called to make an appointment for my dress fitting on a Thursday and the person I spoke with made my appointment for 10am. When I showed up at 10am the day of my appointment, I found out that they did not open until 11am that day, which was rather upsetting since I also spoke with someone else confirming my 10am appointment. My husband was also given the wrong vest when he went to pick up his tux. Despite these two issues, we had a positive overall experience.
just bought my dress there. they have the most beautiful bridal dress selection and super friendly staff Gloria was really helpful
I love this place. Their prices are terrific. Everyone there really cares about you. I found my dream dress on their website and they were having a trunk show there so I was able to get an even bigger deal. The dress came in on time despite the fact that I made some changes along the way. Thank you for making this journey so memorable for me.
Without Janet, I never would have found my dress! I am a bride who knows exactly what I want, but I have a very open mind within those parameters. With every dress I tried on, Janet tried to get a feel for what I liked and what I didn't like about each. Towards the end of my appointment, I was getting a little discouraged and thought I wouldn't find my dress, but Janet had a few she wanted me to try on. After almost 50 dresses, I was willing to see someone elses ideas. It was her pick that ultimately became my pick! I was in love! And the team was so sweet about giving me and my party the space to take pictures and celebrate. We loved that they had little signs that we could take pictures with. It really was an amazing experience!
I had a really good experience here, and ultimately found my dress here - and it was under budget. The salon is low key, low stress and has a great variety. My only issue was with alterations. It came in a tiny bit tighter than I would have liked (but a few hot yoga classes took care of that) and I got different estimates for alterations with different people. End of day, good experience.
Great, great service!
They have a great selection of dresses and the staff is very attentive while selecting your dresses and helping you try them on. They also pick out some extra dresses you might have missed based off of your style and interests. The ordering process went smoothly.
DO NOT get alterations done here. The seamstress was extremely rude to me when I went for my appointment and claimed she did not have enough time to complete the alterations before the wedding. This caught me off guard because I had been told when I ordered the dress that there would be plenty of time. She then went and got her manager and proceeded to fight with him when he told her there was enough time. She stood there fighting with him in front of me for 30 minutes while I stood there in my dress waiting for her to come help me. When she finally gave in and said she'd do it, she talked terribly about her boss the entire time she was helping me. She called him names and complained about him cutting her hours. It was an awful and awkward experience. The alterations were also ridiculously expensive. When I went back to get my dress it was not finished and I took it somewhere else. What I ended up paying at the other place was hundreds of dollars less and there were absolutely no issues of it being finished on time. I didn't try to get any money back because I couldn't stand the thought of dealing with that woman again.
I visited many bridal stores and tried on many dresses, and finally ended up buying my wedding dress from here. They have great dresses with affordable prices. Everyone that works there is very friendly. The alteration lady is very nice and her work is great. I was very pleased with my dress, the price, and the alterations on my dress. I highly recommend this place for wedding dresses.
This was the 4th store I went to in search of a Watters Wtoo gown. The store is small, no appointment is required but it doesn't hurt to make one. All the sales girls who work there are very sweet & I loved the seamstress! Overall a great experience!
Good looking suits. Not the best quality or fit. Paid for and picked out pocket squares and not one was given one on day of wedding so everyone has to run back to get it. Double check your bags to make sure they aren't charging for something you didn't get.
DO NOT GO HERE! THEY ARE NOT HONEST PEOPLE, YOU WILL REGRET IT!
The staff at the Bridal and Tuxedo Galleria was extremely helpful with getting my dream wedding dress. So much so that my dress was discontiuned and they still managered to get if ordered for me.
This is a small store, but they have a lot of different styles and designs to choose from. The staff is helpful and caring, especially Julia, who did all the alterations and fittings for my dress!
I searched many different stores for the right bridesmaids dresses. Bridal and Tuxedo Galleria had a FANTASTIC selection of bridesmaids dresses. We ordered the dresses the same day we found them for the bridesmaids who were there. The salesperson informed us that the dresses would be ordered as the orders came in. 6 weeks later a different salesperson called to inform us that all orders had not been placed an all orders would need to have a rush charge applied to the price, Including the dresses ordered previously, to ensure the dresses arrived on time. A dozen phone calls later and at least that many different answers to questions we decided to cancel all orders because the salespeople and manager were being shifty with their answers. The manager did finally allow us to cancel the order and we were thankfully able to order our dresses elsewhere.
At first I was very pleased with the service I received here - the first visit I had some great personal attention from the assistant. The reason I came to this shop was because they carry Maggie Sottero gowns which are to die for!!! I was not measured during the first visit so a couple of the dresses that were brought in for me to try on were not my size which is never a good experience for anyone. The second visit I felt rushed because there were other brides coming in for appointments. I ended up purchasing a dress that the assistant explained could easily be taken in to fit if I ordered a few sizes up. When I asked how much alterations would be she stated "about $90" - ok reasonable right? Well the first fitting to take in the top they charged me $195, the second visit they wanted to take it in again at no charge, hem it for $275!!! And it was going to cost me $105 for a bustle. I told them I was going to pass on the bustle then and was told that they had to atleast charge me $40 because the alterations gal pinned my dress! I ended up standing firm and they discounted the hem significantly (still paid $155) and refused to pay for the pinning of my bustle. Overall very disappointed. I understand alterations cost a lot and would have been fine if they had prepared me better for it. While waiting to pick up my final dress we were waiting up front and overheard the assistants talking and one girl stated that she didn't want to help the next bride that came in - right in front of us, they just don't care. They're lucky they carry some beautiful dresses here because otherwise they would be out of business from their horrific customer care.
This was a perfect shop to look at many different designers. It's a locally owned and operated shop. Great to support local businesses. Friendly staff and I LOVED my seamstress, Julia. So sweet, and she created the perfect bustle on my gown.
I went here on a whim after bridal bazaar and left crying that I had found my dress (and I'm not a crier over materialistic things). Magda is wonderful and has a great amount of patience. My gown came out perfectly. Only negative, I also got my bridesmaids dresses here, they had my girls order dresses that were extremely too big and all of them needed major alterations.
So much more helpful than David's bridal.
I would say that this place is ok. I happened to find 'THE DRESS' here. I fell in love with the dress and it happened to be on sale. There is one sales girl that helped me mostly and seemed happy to do so (don't remember her name but she's hispanic). The owner doesn't seem very happy to help you, and the seamstress is very expensive. Other than that, I just can say that I found the dress of my dreams here.
I got exactly what I ordered and the price was afforable, but the service was terrible. The dress came in with a few minor mistakes that the store eventually fixed on their dime. Having to deal with customer service though was a nightmare and it took forever.
I hate that I even had to give this company 1 star. First, we ordered 2 bridesmaid dresses and a gown from them. The bridesmaid dresses came back the wrong color. Purple instead of blue. It was a challenge to get them to fix their mistake but they did. Against my better judgment we ordered 2 more dresses for my daughters. So now we are at a total of 5 dresses. They ordered my youngest daughters dress 2 sizes to small and my oldest daughters dress completely wrong. We ordered the dresses the first of April they arrived the First of Sept. My wedding was in 3 weeks. After dealing with 2 wrong bridesmaid dresses, my dress also was ordered 3 sizes to large and at first they tried to tell me I looked unhealthy and sick and that I had lost all that weight. I made them retake my measurements to find that they were still the same numbers that they had recorded months earlier. After all of this, I still had to explain who I was whenever I called or came in. Can you say lack of customer service?! I am so frustrated that I even had to recall these events. Please save yourself the trouble. Do not shop here
I was so satisfired with the quality, service and expecially the price of my grooms tux and the groomsmen as well.
Overall a great experience. A couple hiccups with staff turnover causing some delays in orders and a lot of follow up on my part, but overall, would recommend. This is not a ritzy place, it's meant for a budget conscious bride who wants a nice dress and good service, and they live up to that. The seamstress is THE BEST!
I had already gone wedding dress shopping out of state with my mom, sisters, and mother-in-law-to-be, and so I knew exactly what I was looking for. I wanted that soft, sleek "Angel Satin" that glows in the light and sways with your every move. I wanted my new husband to WANT to touch me, not get his hands scratched by all the lace and beading! I also knew I wanted a slim A-line silhouette, a sweetheart strapless neckline, a corset back, and a chapel train. So far one designer had my attention: Maggie Sottero. So when I got back to San Diego, I made a bee-line for the first bridal salon that carried Maggie: The Bridal & Tuxedo Galleria. I told the girl working what I was looking for, and she brought me all the Maggies that fit my description. I tried on 7 or 8 and then she said, "I have one more in mind for you, but it's not a Maggie; it's a Mori Lee. Would you be interested?" I tried it on and INSTANTLY felt that wave of emotion that brides always talk about when they find "THEIR dress." THIS WAS IT! It was also only half the price of most of the Maggies I had been trying on. Even better! However, I was shopping with my maid of honor, and she convinced me to keep looking at a few more salons. 3 more stops later, a different saleswoman brought me the SAME Mori Lee dress on accident--thinking it was a Maggie Sottero! I tried it on again anyway, and as I stood there in the three-way mirror, starring at it, the saleswoman, and my maid of honor both said it was PERFECT. I flipped over the price tag and was surprised that this salon was selling the same dress for almost $200 more than Bridal & Tuxedo Galleria! I called Galleria just to make sure, and YES! They were selling it for less. I returned and made my purchase that day. The rest of my experience with them went just as smoothly. Their alterations lady is a character (and INCREDIBLY talented, which I suppose is more important!) and all their staff was friendly and helpful, even as I had to bring my two young boys with me to several of my fittings. The girls just went right into babysitting mode! I highly recommend Bridal & Tuxedo Galleria.
This was my one and only stop when looking for a bridal gown. The reason I went here was because I knew they would have a good selection of affordable bridal gowns. The bridal salon could use a bit of a makeover, but I came for the dress prices, not the ambiance. I found a perfect dress for $900 and also had my alterations done here and had my dress pressed here. The seamstress is excellent and did a fantastic job. I only needed a hem, a bustle, and the neckline fixed (the boning in the dress kind of made the lining stick out). I was very satisfied with her work.
I loved this shop, they are very helpful, the team they have is awesome.
The only thing is the dress I wanted was not in their store, I went elsewhere to try it on and bought it there. I also rcvd $150 credit for my veil.
They were very helpful and had a huge selection for very reasonable prices. I got my, bridesmaid's, flower girl's and tuxes all from them with minimal problems. One complaint would have to be the size charts, our flower girl was accidentally given the wrong dress that happened to almost fit (size 8). When she was given the proper dress (size 2) she was swimming in it. Different designers have different charts and for some reason their version of size 2 was not what I had given them. They don't offer any discounts on alterations for mistakes so we went elsewhere. Other than that, they were great to work with.
This shop is great for the most part. I will start with the bad. After I purchased the dress the owner called me to try to get some money back. He said I got "too good of a deal". Of course I said too bad, it's in writing. The dress was less than $500 but probably worth about $700. After that the fittings with Julia went great. She is a great lady and does good work, however I do think she was expensive. To make a sweetheart neckline, hem, and bustle cost me $300. The steaming of the veil and gown was $75 I think. I was very happy with the dress and they always remembered me which I like. I asked for a discount on my veil and they did give me that as well.
Emily was fantastic. She was always smiling and sharing stories with me and she let me browse through their whole collection. I easily found a replacement dress for the one I lost at Bride & Veil (see my awful review of them on their google site). Everything went great until alterations. The price of the dress was less then HALF the price of the one I lost (big thumbs up), BUT the alterations made up for it. $400! I understand that hemming a lace dress is a pain in the butt especially when it has beading, but $400?! I sucked it up and agreed to it because my wedding was just around the corner. I was told I would be able to pick my dress up in about 3 weeks with one fitting in between to make sure it was what I wanted. I went in for the fitting and it was still all pins! Nothing was sewn yet. I figured I don't know anything about alterations so maybe they worked faster then I thought and this would be ok. This was 1 week away from my pick up date. I went in on the date to pick up and it WASN'T DONE! It wasn't even STARTED! The alterations lady (who is super sweet, but this still upset me) said that their other alterations lady quit and she had to pick up the slack for her, and their was an emergency dress that had to be done that day and my dress would be ready the next day. I was super stressed out at this point. My fiance went to pick up the dress for me and did the inspection and said he was concerned but would bring it home for me to see. When I saw it I almost had a breakdown. The back panel (behind the corset ribbon) was FALLING OFF. There were little threads hanging out all over. The appliqué looked like they were put on a different kind of tulle then they were made on and the edges were frayed (not trimmed up). I really wanted to give a good review because everyone was so sweet there, but I was so upset with the results I just can't give all stars. I am not saying not to shop here, I think you'll have a good experience here, just be sure to be VERY CLEAR about ALL DETAILS of your alterations, and stay on top of it, don't just trust it will be done right.
I tried on my first wedding dress and knew it was the one!! I fell in love with it right away!!
As a bride I wanted to find the perfect dress. I must have tried on over 50 dresses at 15 different bridal salons before i found that perfect dress. My first impression as i walked into the bridal and tuxedo galleria was that it was small and run-down. I decided to give the place a chance and ended up finding a beautiful dress. Of course i had my own vision as to what the dress would look like in the end and spent a great deal of time working with the alterations manager to ensure we were both on the same page. I was sure to get an estimate for the alterations before i purchased the dress and was quite pleased with the number she gave me. I went ahead and ordered the dress and waited approx 4.5 months for it to arrive. Once it arrived i went back into the salon to begin the alterations process and when i did she more than doubled her original estimate for the initial alterations. I was furious, but tried to convince myself that you only get married once and not to worry about it. The problem was that every time (4 times total) that i went back for more alterations the cost always exceeded the original estimate by almost double. By the time my dress was complete (3 months of alterations) i had spend approx $600 dollars on alterations :(. In there defense the dress looked incredible, but beware of the staff at this salon.
Thank you so much!!
From the beginning of selecting my dress to getting fitted (Julia is AWESOME - so much wisdom she shard that I could not have known).
My fiance bought his tux and Tim was awesome in getting a perfect fit.
We ordered a tux for my nephew who lives out of state and it all came together beautifully!
Thank you, thank you a million times, thank you!!!
They give personal attention and are very prompt in keeping me updated.;Boutique is on the small side and can get busy.
;DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!! Good luck trying to get anything done through them. As soon as they have your money they are done with you. They do not have things come in on time, you have to stay on top of them because they will not keep you updated. My bridesmaids HATED them, and they all ordered from out of town..NEVER NEVER NEVER use them. Worst place EVER!!!!
