My sister and I both purchased our wedding dresses and got all alterations done here and were equally SO HAPPY we did. The shopping experience was fun, professional, low pressure, and felt special. The salon is gorgeous and the women who work there are sweet and personable. I had my dress and veil altered here as well and they came out PERFECTLY. I even had a change of heart after I purchased my veil, and they graciously helped me exchange so that I had exactly what I wanted. I couldn't recommend them more highly, they are absolutely wonderful!
After trying on about 50 wedding dresses at 10 different stores, I found my dress at Bridal Galleria. My consultant, Shonna, listened exactly to what I was looking for, and didn’t show me any dresses that were even a dollar over budget. I absolutely loved working with her and the rest of the staff at this boutique!
Off the Rack at Bridal Galleria
This review is for the sample sale section of Bridal Galleria, called Off the Rack. Up to 75% discounts on designer dresses means you can get an amazing gown at a great price. The saleswoman was very helpful and stayed within my price point.
I had a similar experience to Michelle H...I had an appointment with Haily Phung and I don’t feel as though she took the time to listen to what I was looking for. Instead she gave me a lot of her unwanted personal opinions and kept pushing ines de santo gowns, which I did not particularly care for. She spent most of her time talking at me and not being very optimistic. I felt more judged by her overall demeanor than I did by my friends, who I purposely did not being to this appointment to have a clear head. At one point I mentioned I was not a big fan of beading and she made it a point to take me outside and show me that my favorite wedding designer had a lot of beading in her dresses. Have never met a sales person who’s main objective is to be right over making a sale...she also talked me out of the two dresses I actually liked by making snarky comments about how I should double check what it looks like in the pictures we took. Truly disappointed in the customer service here.
I was looking for a specific veil and this shop is listed on the website for carrying this designer. I called to ask if I could get an appointment for a veil styling, and was told that this store only sells veils and dresses as a package, and will not sell veils to people who didn't buy a dress from them. I asked about the designer in particular and was interrupted and told that Nordstrom would carry them. The woman on the phone was pretty rude as soon as she learned I hadn't bought my dress from them, and she was very clearly not interested in selling me a $1000 veil because of it.
I visited numerous other stores when dress and accessory shopping, in multiple states, and no other store wouldn't let me look at items without buying everything from them. I wouldn't consider this store a carrier of certain designers if it requires you to also buy a dress as a package deal.
What should have been a wonderful experience was ruined by a dingy atmosphere and a lack of service and hospitality. When we arrived, our consultant didn't offer us any water or champagne as we had experienced in other salons. We were a little disappointed, but then it got worse. She led us into a narrow hallway of dressing rooms with a filthy brown carpet and plastic chairs add as an after thought. It felt like a place where me daughter should be trying on jeans not a $6,000 wedding gown.
The consultant did not listen to my request. She came here specifically for Lazaro dresses as they are an exclusive carrier in the Bay Area, but the consultant kept pushing the trunk show dresses of a different designer and Ines Di Santo. My daughter left the store without even being shown a Lazaro dress.
Every single dress she tried on was over our $5,000 budget.
We all left the salon in a melancholy mood. Not the experience we had hoped for.
My consultant, Haily, was so delightful to work with, and so understanding. I was expecting a place like Bridal Galleria to be a little snooty, but they couldn't have been kinder and more professional. More importantly, I tried on several gorgeous dresses here that I hadn't seen anywhere else, and two of them in particular made me feel like a million dollars. I'm still thinking about my choices but wow, what a great, delightful experiences. Only if all the bridal salons were like this! I've been to my share of them, and the experiences definitely varies, so shop around and don't settle!
I was looking for several specific Lazaro gowns to try on for my wedding. I made an appointment for a consultation during a trunk show. My consultant, Haley, was great and super sweet to work with. She found me another Lazaro dress that I hadn't seen before, and ended up ordering for my wedding. It was a great experience, and the dress arrived exactly in the time frame predicted by them. I would highly recommend the salon.
I had the best experience at Bridal Galleria. I got to work with Kim, the manager. I went on a Saturday when they were having a Lazaro trunk show. I never thought I would be able to get a Lazaro dress, but I did! I was able to met Lazaro. He helped personalize my dress for me and drew a sketch of me in the dress! It was a wonderful experience. Only issue happened when the dress came in- the manufacture had made the wrong size. The dress had to be sent back and I got 1 week before the wedding. There was a lack of communication between Bridal Galleria and myself on the status of the dress. I did have to call a couple times to check in and see what was going on. But other then that great experience and I was able to wear my dream dress.
I selected a few stores to visit for finding my wedding gown in San Francisco, but after one visit to Bridal Galleria, I knew they were the salon for me. I was given great, personalized attention to my budget, style and designer interests, and they delivered with a dress that fulfilled everything on my list. They have a wide variety of dresses from some of the hottest designers, and made the shopping and purchasing experience so enjoyable. When my dress arrived, my fittings went smoothly, and they made the dress fit my body perfectly. Grace is a godsend! They were so helpful and attentive, and were even able to sewn on my sash and flower detail at the last minute before my wedding. I received so many compliments about the fit of my dress, and I would encourage every San Francisco bride to check out Bridal Galleria for their gown!
You will find a wonderful selection of dresses here on any budget! The sample sales are amazing and the designers are so personable.
We worked with Kim and she was an absolute pleasure! I found the dress of my dreams and absolutely LOVED it. I was not crazy about the majority of the other dresses or the look of the salon. They could definitely use some updating.
I came here not expecting to purchase anything yet as it was the first shop I went to and didn't really want to commit to anything just yet since everyone knows the #1 rule in wedding planning is not to rush into anything. Not only was Kate super informative and helpful, she made me feel so calm and the complete opposite of how a stressed out bride should be.
I ended up saying yes to the FIRST dress I tried on even though I tried on like 10 or 15 of them. Yes, I was that sure!
Bridal Galleria is super friendly and their staff definitely knows their stuff. My sister also purchased her wedding gown here so you can say we will be coming back soon should another sister get engaged. ;)
I learned about Bridal Galleria from a friend who got her wedding dress there. It's in the same building as my work, and I'd originally written it off as being 'not fancy enough' because it wasn't a couture house with a named designer heading the location.
I was WRONG! When I went to Bridal Galleria, the staff who helped me were extremely welcoming and helpful. I had a broad idea of what I was looking for, and also a general budget. They worked with me to look at options in that area, but also made some great suggestions for gowns that I could try which they knew would suit my body. They also had undergarments, accessories, and shoes for me to use in trying stuff on so that I had a sense of the completed look.
Once I chose my gown, they also conveniently had a seamstress on staff to do the adjustments. Even though it took several sessions to get it 'just perfect', they had quoted me a charge for the work and didn't charge me extra when it took more visits.
Every time I went, the time spent was efficient and on-point. Fittings took 20-30 minutes tops, and I never had to wait when I turned up for my appointment.
The week of my wedding, when I picked up my dress, it was all ready to go - steamed, wrinkle free, and hanging in an opaque bag to ensure that my husband to be wasn't going to spoil the surprise. They were also really clear with me about what I could and couldn't do to the dress on the day of, based on the nature of the fabric.
All told, it was a wonderful experience and extremely convenient to me. While the selection isn't extensive, I'd seriously recommend a visit!
I was in a bit of a scramble to get a second dress after discovering my first dress wasn't what I wanted. I shopped around at many places in San Francisco, but Bridal Galleria made me feel so at home and welcome!
I have a hard time making decisions, so to find "the dress" was not an easy process. To know what I wanted and to stay within budget are no two easy feats. Anne Marie at Bridal Galleria was incredible, kind and so helpful. I wore the dress of my dreams and married the man who captured my heart on New Year's Eve this year.
Nice place with lots of designer collections. But the service was very stuck up. They also dont allow brides to take photos of their dresses.
Pascale at Bridal Galleria was a amazing! She was so calm, attentive & professional. She really listened and helped me find the perfect dress under my budget goal! I absolutely loved my dress.
I went to a few other places before settling down here. The reasons are: they have a good selection and listen to what you want. They are professional, have great ideas, are positive and wonderful to work with. Even when some of the items were custom, they kept calm and created beautiful pieces. When a bride has lots of nerves and energy floating about they help keep things grounded and focused. It was a wonderful experience here! And ask for Kate, she's fantastic.
I found the perfect dress there! Though I was not completely happy with the service, the quality of the dress was fantastic. My stylist, Shana, was an angel who was always looking out for my best interests while the rest of the women in the shop were not as welcoming. They made the dress fit me perfectly and helped me with the alterations to make my vision come to life. it was beautiful!
Grace at Bridal Galleria knows the business and is the best at what she does. I saw a Vera Wang gown online that was only available in LA, but Bridal Galleria was able to fly the dress up so I could try it on. After purchasing the dress, I ended up having to postpone my wedding due to a health issue, and Bridal Galleria was happy to store my gown until we rescheduled. I had two fittings — a pinning and a final fitting, and they did a great job. My entire experience was easy and enjoyable. The only problem? I wish I could have worn my gown more times!
What an amazing selection of dresses! I could go to this store everyday and try on something new. The consultants were extremely helpful and supportive and I found my dress and they didn't try to force alterations or months of waiting for them to "order my size". I had an amazing experience and would absolutely recommend this place to all my friends!
I don't know how to say it except that there was something missing here. The dressing room area is a little tired, the dresses are a little tired, and the staff didn't make such an important decision feel particularly special. I loved the selection so it was a great first shop, but I don't think I'd want to go back.
They were very helpful, honest and real. There was no fake interest or enthusiasm and for this I was truly thankful. Nothing turns me off and assures I will not recommend or be back, someone who is putting off a show to earn a dollar. There skill is what makes it worth going in. They have timely alterations and great customer service. Thank you!
I first tried on my dress at Kleinfeld's in New York but wasn't ready to purchase since it was my first day of dress shopping. When I started shopping in San Francisco, I found it again at Bridal Galleria. I purchased it there solely for the convenience of the location and I liked that they can store the dress there until the wedding. Otherwise, the place was unremarkable. The salespeople were nice enough but I was annoyed that the owner or manager said they could match the price in New York, but after they found out the price, they weren't willing to meet it. At best, it just happened to be the designer's trunk show so I got the standard 10% off. Alternations on the hem looked sloppy but I didn't make a fuss because I figured who's going to really notice the bottom of my dress? They just snipped the tulle with scissors and left the ends a bit ragged and uneven while charging hundreds of dollars for the job.
The bridal galleria was a great shop, the staff was very helpful and I had a great experience. The site is a bit less attractive than some shops I went to, but the staff made up for it!
i went to a vera wang trunk show and found the perfect dress! i ordered it right then and there and received it a week earlier than expected. i also ordered my veil from bridal galleria. everyone treated me just lovely and i had so much help finding the perfect dress. i highly recommend trunk shows!!
bridal galleria is great! the store itself is beautiful and is chock full of gorgeous gowns. although the gowns here are on the pricey side, you will find the largest collection of high-end gowns here, especially monique lhuillier--my favorite! the service is great, from beginning to end, and the woman who owns the boutique--grace--is wonderful!
Beautiful dress... but too expensive!
This store has great selection of wedding gowns. Prices range from $2500-$15,000. I found the one here and Haily was incredibly helpful every step of the way, from finding the dress to the final fitting.
When I went to try on dresses, I already had a dress in mind. It fit beautifully, but I tried on more dresses just to be sure. The person helping me was so professional. She listened to what I wanted in a dress and brought me dresses to try on at both ends of the spectrum. Finally, I found my perfect dress. It had bling, but not too much, a short train, and figure flattering. it was perfect for my venue and I received so many compliments. I love my dress so much, I'm going to display it in my home. Purchasing a dress that is of good quality, makes a difference in how you feel on your wedding day. Stay within your budget, but get what you want.
Bluntly, if you're an SF bride, you have to go to Bridal Galleria because of the selection and location but you won't necessarily love it. The ambiance isn't great and the service leaves a lot to be desired. You won't be likely to receive any deals or discounts, and the alterations aren't cheap. They also don't let you take photos, which seems archaic in light of that thing called the Internet.
Seamstresses are competent and did make quite a few custom alterations for me, but the first attempt at a hem (basic, no?) came back wrong (longer on the sides than the front/back) and on dress pick up day we found that detailing had been mussed in the process and had to wait while they repaired it. A dress should be perfect upon pick up if they've been holding on to it for 6 months, no?
All in all, Bridal Galleria is fine. They have a few salespeople who are great, a few who are rude and a few who just don't seem all that competent. Come for the selection and possibility that your dress is here, but don't expect fanfare or a really easy, great experience.
I worked with Pascale at Bridal Galleria.
I ended up getting everything (bra, shoes, veil, jewelery, belt, dress) from Bridal Galleria. I spent much more than I had ever intended on a veil but it was so worth it - it's still the most beautiful veil I have ever seen! Pascale was attentive from start to finish.
Bridal Galleria was the first store I went to, and after visiting many others, was the store I ended up purchasing from. They were wonderful!
My experience with wedding dresses went as followed:
1. picked out a zillion pictures of dresses I thought I liked.
2. Tired on said dresses and realized that I apparently had no idea what I was looking for because all the dresses I thought that I "for sure" wanted were NOT looking good on me.
3. Bridal consultant Jean to the rescue! She had listened to what I liked and disliked about the various dresses that I tried. She came out with a couple BEAUTIFUL suggestions.
4.Tried out some other bridal stores...kept comparing other dresses to one of Jean's suggestions.
5. Happily bought dress from Bridal Galleria.
The level of service did not end with a purchase. I had the absolute pleasure of working with Hailey. She is an dream to work with. She handled all my fittings and I have to say that she had me smiling and laughing and really enjoying every minute. I didn't want to leave! On top of that, she really knew her stuff fit-wise. I had the utmost confidence in her skills and professionalism. In the end, the dress fit perfectly and the experience was awesome.
All in all, I loved my experience with Bridal Galleria. They have great selection, GREAT staff and make your dress shopping a real pleasure. I have recommended them wholeheartedly to friends who are beginning the process. Bridal Galleria is the place to start!

This place has lots and lots of dresses you can try on. The downside is that you cannot take any pictures of what you look like in the dress. This can get frustrating especially if you want to show the dress to another person who couldn't make it to the appointment.
Great variety of dresses. Great service. The gown arrived on time, the right size, minimal but beautiful alterations.
We found the dress that made us cry.
Personal Experience:
Bridal Galleria was where I found my dream wedding gown! I was looking for something incredibly unique and different, one shouldered and that would "wow" my guests at my Disneyland wedding! I brought in pictures of what I was looking for and the consultant pulled all the gowns she could find from my visual examples. I loved each dress, but she waited until the very last gown for the show-stopper. From the criteria I had for my perfect gown, she pulled a one shouldered Romona Keveza that was absolutely, drop-dead GORGEOUS! I was in love from the second she put it on me. I had not seen the dress before and I'm so glad she pulled it for me to try on. This particular dress ended up being the "one" and I purchased it 2 weeks later!
The Price:
Gowns here are on the high end side and most cost between $2K and go up to past $10K. As long as long as money is not an issue, this is a great place to look for your dream dress!
Selection:
A great selection from many of bridal's best and favorite designers (Vera Wang, Monique Lhuillier, Reem Acra, Romona Keveza, Lazaro, etc)
Consultants & Staff:
All very sweet and attentive at the Bridal Galleria. I worked with Kim during all of my alterations appointments and she was so incredibly nice! Also, Carmen the seamstress was AMAZING! She created the most beautiful bustle i've ever seen on my Keveza. She worked quickly and was so sweet.
Overall:
A wonderful experience and I definitely recommend Bridal Galleria to all current and future brides in the Bay Area :)
I went to Bridal Galleria since most of my family purchased their gowns there. It felt like home every time I went in the salon. I met with Grace who owns the salon and she was so helpful. She even remembered my mother from when my sister bought her gown there over two years ago.
I tried on about 6 gowns and then I noticed another bride wearing a gown I just loved. I asked if I could also try that gown on and when I did, I knew it was the one for me. I wanted to get a gown that nobody else had worn before but I also knew that would mean I'd have to get it made and I didn't want to go through the pain. I loved my gown and loved working with Bridal Galleria. They did a great job on the alterations and even referred a gown cleaning company to preserve my dress. Be sure to make an appointment since they are very busy most days. I suggest going in during the week.
Love them! Came in pretty close to my wedding due to a dress mishap at the original bridal salon I went to (Marina Morrison).
Lana is wonderful! I described what kind of dress style I was looking for and she immediately zeroed in on the perfect dress! The alterations manager (I forget her name) was super helpful and made extra sure that the dress was the perfect length and fit.
Their salon looks so much better than it did a year ago when I originally went to try on dresses. Dresses are displayed in the front room, and are not in bags. You can look and see the dresses much better now!
The Bridal Galleria has all the big name bridal gown designers. I love my sales assistant (Hailey) who is there w/ you from the beginning when you're choosing your dress until the last fitting. She really knew my style and what looked best on me and was very meticulous at my fitting--pointing out things to the tailor that I wouldn't have noticed.
The only cons I can think of are parking can be expensive if you are there for a while--they stamp your parking ticket but only for a certain amount of time. The rest is on your own. Also, I needed minor alterations on my veil which they won't do unless you purchased the veil from them (which I didn't).
This place has a nice selection of designer dresses, but the service was lacking a bit. Dresses were out of my price range. It's worth a visit if you are looking for something specific that only they have.
