Brodie Homestead

The Brodie Homestead was a gorgeous venue for my wedding; it was cozy, rustic and so elegant! Juliana and Alex are professional, friendly, knowledgeable and so great to work with. We received so many compliments on the venue and we could not be happier with our decision to book the Brodie Homestead.

Brodie Homestead was the most perfect wedding venue. I had done a nonprofit fundraising event here for work, so my now-husband and I decided it wouldn't hurt to tour the venue when we were first looking at places. We were so surprised how much we loved the space and continued to compare other places to Brodie Homestead before finally deciding on it. The venue itself is stunning with its high ceilings, chandeliers, and beautiful stonework - we really didn't feel like we needed to put a bunch of decor up in order to achieve our classic, romantic wedding theme. Juliana was great to work with and so accommodating to our needs. We worked with a handful of their recommended vendors (who all exceeded our expectations) and enjoyed the flexibility of being able to work with our own vendors as well. We also loved all of the outdoor spaces around the venue for pictures - you definitely can't tell that the venue is right next to the Sunset Valley shopping area at all. This venue is such a hidden gem in South Austin if you are looking for a beautiful venue within the city limits that isn't downtown.

We had our wedding at the Brodie Homestead and were blown away by the event! Throughout the planning process, Juliana was extremely responsive, accommodating, and helpful. We used many of the preferred vendors and were beyond impressive by the quality of service we received. The venue is beautiful without any flowers or decorations so with some additions, it was absolutely stunning! We had a high guest count and almost all our guests were flying in, so we wanted a venue that was close to downtown (where everyone would be staying) and the Brodie Homestead was perfect! We used a lot of the in house furniture and everything was exactly what we needed. All the tables and chairs were set up for us in advance and broken down at the end of the night which really helped make the day run smoothly.  Since the Brodie Homestead is mostly indoors (we ended up having a bar outside as well as cocktail tables and lights to give guests an option to go outside) we didn't have to worry about a rain plan - this took a lot of stress off our planning and it ended up being a beautiful, sunny day! Overall, working with Juliana at the Brodie Homestead for our wedding made the planning a breeze and we were told by many of our guests that our venue was magnificent! We cannot recommend the Brodie Homestead enough!

We used the Brodie Homestead as the location for our Sangeet (Indian dance and music dance performances) the night before our wedding. The barn itself is beautiful, but we felt it ended up being more expensive than the value that we got out of it. Some if it was because we had less guests (90) than expected (120) but we also had to spend money on things to make it more "wedding like" - including standing lights at the perimeter, stage lights and the music system for the dance performance. We also did not find that their preferred vendor list was updated - I had a hard time finding for the right hair and make up artist. In addition, we had several problems with their stage lights / music system vendor that caused a lot of problems near the end close to the date of the event. That being said, Juliana was helpful and response. and this is a good location if you want the barn look in a location within Austin. BYOB alcohol was also great,

The team at Brodie Homestead was an absolute pleasure to work with. They were both helpful in helping us execute the event we had envisioned as well as accommodating through the planning process. The team was always extremely professional and prompt in their communication with us. Furthermore, the venue / the barn is absolutely stunning (the chandeliers are awesome!). Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a venue within 15 min of downtown Austin!

You will not regretting having your special day at Brodie Homestead! I was impressed the very first time I walked inside by the chandeliers, but the day of the wedding I could not have imagined a more magical day. My guests cannot stop raving about how beautiful the venue was. Juliana was amazing to work with. If you are looking for easy logistics look no further. The venue is 10 minutes from downtown and has a large parking lot for shuttles or guest parking. The flip was flawless and was so nice to have guests 100% inside during this Texas heat. Could not have picked a more perfect venue!

Brodie was the perfect wedding venue. My jaw dropped seeing it all dressed up for our wedding. The chandeliers are everything. The pictures you can get here are incredible. We held 2 ceremonies and did a reception flip. It's hard to find a place in the city with gorgeous indoor and outdoor scenery, a getting ready space, and parking. Brodie has it all.

Brodie Homestead was the third and final venue my husband and I visited. We loved how central the location was (90% of our guests flying in from another state), and just in awe at how beautiful this tucked away urban barn was. I really wanted a romantic feel and Brodie did not disappoint. Super happy with our day of manager, Dana and Juliana (GM?) was easy to work with. If I could do it all over again I wouldn't change a thing. Thank you Brodie Homestead for the wedding of my dreams!

We just had our wedding at Brodie and it was amazing! They were so great to work with throughout the pandemic and helped us make sure that the day was smooth and enjoyable for everyone! The venue is absolutely beautiful and looked amazing!

Brodie Homestead has the most gorgeous chandeliers! We had a warm and twinkly New Year’s Eve wedding that I’ll never forget! Absolutely stunning and perfectly located not far from downtown! Loved having them as our venue!

Brodie Homestead is a gorgeous place for any event. I had a December wedding and it was wonderful. They were always so helpful from the beginning when we booked our date to the day of our event. The space is perfect to mold for any event.

Juliana and the whole Brodie team (and venue) made for the best wedding say ever even during a global pandemic. They were always flexible if we needed to schedule an onsite meeting and maintained communication throughout the 2020 events protocol. Our guests had plenty of social distancing space during the ceremony and dinner service because of the perfect size and dividing curtain between the 2 ends of the building. Also a perfect location where guests can stay downtown and travel by Uber safely to their hotel without a crazy fee. Couldn’t have had a better place to get married, you will not be disappointed in your decision!

This venue is absolutely beautiful, and turned out wonderful for us in this Covid-19 season. It is an intimate area which was perfect for a smaller group, great location, and the staff are very quick and helpful in communication about the venue.

I had my eye on this venue before my husband and I even got engaged so I was so glad they had an opening for our desired weekend! The venue is gorgeous and we loved the chandeliers! The people at the Brodie were so efficient and easy to communicate with which made our day go so smoothly!

I booked my son's wedding at The Brodie Homestead and could not have been happier. The space is so beautiful that is made it very easy to plan and decorate. We had so many guests say how gorgeous the wedding was I almost felt guilty taking the compliments because we really didn't have to do much to have such a elegant wedding. The staff was very accommodating and made the difficult task of planning a wedding very easy.

The Brodie Homestead was a perfect (and affordable) location for my wedding. Juliana was helpful, responsive, and patient through the planning process. There was plenty of time allotted in the contract for venue setup, the event itself, and cleanup. The space is cozy without feeling cramped. And the chandeliers bring an extra touch of elegance to the place. There's also a field nearby so you can take photos outdoors, which I liked. Would 100% recommend this venue for a cute Austin wedding!

The PERFECT venue for a romantic and intimate wedding. The barn wood interior paired with the stunning chandeliers just ooze romance. The staff at Brodie Homestead are also incredible and full of recommendations and knowledge. If you're wanting an indoor ceremony in Austin, this is the perfect venue! Most venues in the area are made for outdoor ceremonies, and their indoor option is really more of a "plan B" space. The Brodie makes for a stunning ceremony backdrop, and the perfect-size reception space for a more intimate feel. Juliana was who we worked with throughout the planning process, and she was very helpful and responsive the entire time! I was so happy we chose this venue!

As soon as I saw the pictures of Brodie Homestead, I knew this was where I had to have my wedding reception. The space is absolutely gorgeous and can be transformed to fit your vision. It was the perfect size for our 150 person wedding. There was plenty of room to move around while still keeping an intimate feel, which is exactly what we were looking for. We worked with Juliana and she was amazing throughout the entire process. She was very responsive to all of our questions and was also very helpful when it came to planning everything out. I couldn't recommend Brodie more! We LOVED it.

Brodie Homestead was our first venue tour when we started planning our wedding. We visited many more, but after each subsequent tour we kept coming back to Brodie. It was important for us to find a venue in Austin that was easily accessible by our many out-of-town guests. Not only is Brodie convenient to downtown, but it is gorgeous. Don’t let the exterior barn shape fool you, the interior is pure elegance with the lovely dark wood, limestone, tall ceilings, exposed beams, and beautiful chandeliers. The venue manager, Julianna, was a pleasure to work with as well. Seeing the space transformed from empty to the ceremony and then ceremony to reception was amazing. The guests loved the surprise of seeing the venue flip to the reception as well. Everyone commented on the gorgeous chandeliers all night long. Brodie Homestead was the perfect backdrop to our wedding.

PROS: 1. The venue is so stunning, you don't need a lot of decorations. This definitely helps your decor budget. I received so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was. 2. We had just under 100 guests, and it was the perfect size. There was tons of room on the "cocktail hour" side, so the guests did not feel cramped. 3. The bridal and groom's suites with private bathrooms were very cute and comfortable. All restrooms were very clean. 4. Juliana is very responsive, knowledgeable, and professional. She will help put together very detailed, accurate diagrams of the setup for you. 5. The staff setup the tables and chairs for the ceremony and cocktail hour exactly according to the diagram. 6. We booked our wedding on a Sunday to receive the lower rate. The previous evening was booked for another wedding, so it wasn't available for a rehearsal, but Juliana allowed me to have my rehearsal Saturday at noon, and then we had a rehearsal lunch, instead of dinner. It worked out fine. 7. Their website provides a detailed list of recommended vendors. Brodie requires you select one of their recommended caterers, but other than that, you can use anyone. CONS: 1. Be aware that Brodie will only supply tables and chairs, no linens, and of course, no food or beverage. Pay close attention to their inventory of tables. They only supply (20) 60-inch rounds, (1) 48-inch round, (200) folding chairs, (5) cocktail tables, (4) 6-foot tables, and (4) 8-foot tables. I was disappointed they didn't have an actual bar. We had to use (2) 8-foot tables, but it worked out fine. 2. Many years ago, I worked at a wedding venue in Sugar Land, and we provided an event coordinator the day-of at no extra charge. We communicated with the catering staff and DJ to ensure everything ran smoothly and according to the provided timeline. We helped with setup and teardown. Again, this may be standard for Austin venues, but be aware Brodie does NOT include any coordinating services. They do provide a Manager-on-Duty for your event, but I was told he will basically only assist with adjusting the temperature and lights. The day-of, I never met our MOD, and I believe he stayed in the office most of the night. We took First Look and Wedding Party photos outside by the oak tree. I had seen photos online of a much larger green area, but no one could find it, and the MOD was no where close by to ask. When it was dancing time, the lights were still on full blast, and I had to ask a friend to ask him to adjust it for us. You will definitely need to hire a Coordinator to run your wedding. I was lucky enough to have an old co-worker from Sugar Land coordinate mine for free. 3. You are required to have 1 meeting with Juliana 4-8 weeks before your wedding. You will most likely have to come during regular business hours, which do not include weekends. My husband had to use a vacation day to attend, but that was to be expected. It was fine. 4. Not really a con, but be aware you're only allotted 10 hours in the venue. This includes setup and teardown. We gave ourselves 3 hours of setup time. Fortunately, I had several family and friends volunteer to help, so we were ready with plenty of time. We also ended the party 1 hour before the venue closed to pack up and give the catering staff time to clean up and load out. The pros truly outweigh the cons. If it's within your budget, you will not regret having your wedding at Brodie Homestead. Overall, 5 stars! Thank you, Juliana, for hosting us!

This venue is by far the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. If you're wanting little to no decorations, this venue is perfect as it's gorgeous enough without anything. They were very easy to work with and I would do it all over again. The pricing is more than what I wanted to spend, but we made it work. Book them now and save!! It was totally worth it every penny!!!

We held both our wedding ceremony and reception at Brodie Homestead and could not have been happier with that decision! The venue is absolutely stunning and requires very little decor to transform it into a magical and romantic space for a wedding. We live in California so we relied very heavily on communicating with Brodie Homestead via email and phone. From day one, we were incredibly impressed with their timely responsiveness, thorough answers, and professionalism. It was clear that they wanted our wedding to be just as much of a success as we did, and we really felt that we had a true partner in the planning process. After the wedding, we received so many compliments about the beautiful space from not only guests but also from people who simply saw photographs. I absolutely loved my experience working with and getting married at Brodie Homestead, and would recommend this venue to anyone in a heartbeat!

Our wedding at Brodie Homestead was absolutely flawless, and we got so many compliments on the STUNNING venue. Everybody who spent time in the bride/groom suites expressed that they loved the quiet space upstairs for getting ready before the wedding. All of our guests also appreciated not having to go outside in the Texas summer while we flipped the ceremony space to reception! The Brodie Homestead staff was also very timely and helpful during the months of wedding planning.

The best day of my life was at Brodie, and I wouldn’t have had it any differently. This was the only venue I toured and my decision was made immediately after walking through the doors. The ambiance created by the chandeliers, high ceilings, and beautiful wood is unforgettable. Due to the beauty of the building itself, I chose to have minimal decor, which cut a lot of costs. The low lighting made our wedding dreamy and romantic. All of our pictures turned out perfectly, because of our incredible photographer and the beauty of Brodie. Staff is helpful, quick to respond to emails, and we wouldn’t have had our wonderful coordinator without them. I would give Brodie Homestead 10 stars if I could. It’s amazing!

I heard about Brodie homestead when talking to Juliana at the sister property (Allen House). I was a little unsure about the layout and the flip and almost skipped touring, but decided last minute to stop in, and I am SO GLAD we did. From the moment we walked in I could tell this was where my fiance and I felt most comfortable. Allison was very accommodating to our pop in and took the time to show us around. The venue is a little pricey for what is included and there is no off-peak season since it's an indoor venue. It has very comfortable bride and groom suites and comes with tables & chairs for 250. The space is so gorgeous with the chandeliers that it barely needs any decoration. Don't be fooled by the shopping center next door, once you walk in the doors you forget that you're in the center of south Austin.

There are no words for how stunning this venue is! I'm still drooling over our wedding day and all of our photos. You just can't beat those chandeliers and all of the other gorgeous detail. Brodie Homestead provided us with the most beautiful wedding day and people have yet to stop telling us how amazing our venue was.

We had a beautiful night at the Brodie Homestead! The venue itself was exactly what we were looking for -- a classic Texas Urban Barn with "rustic charm and modern elegance". Our guests praised the atmosphere all evening! Allison and Juliana were very helpful and wonderful to work with and we appreciated their insights and hospitality. We loved our evening at Brodie Homestead and know that the venue and the staff was a huge part of the success of our reception!

Beautiful and amazing venue!! It was a perfect place for our ceremony and reception flip. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue is. The chandeliers add an elegant touch to the rustic elements and the stone walls brought that natural element in. It was the perfect backdrop for the ceremony! Minimal decorations need- most of what we added was greenery, garlands, candles and bouquets during reception. We had a December wedding and a few days before the wedding, it snowed, but since everything is indoors at Brodie, we didn't have to have a tent plan or plan B so there was no stress there. Thankfully, the day of was absolutely beautiful and we were able to take our pictures outside in the field with the amazing trees and greenery they have. While it may not look like much in person, all the greenery and large trees and stumps make for amazing photos. Allison was the manager on duty that helped us with pre-wedding questions and a pre-wedding meeting and she made sure to know exactly how we wanted everything. She was very responsive and accommodating. Thanks, Allison! Brodie helped make our wedding day beautiful and special!

What a magical place for a wedding! Staff and coordinator were excellent to work with, which was very important since the bride and groom did an out of state wedding. Guests were mesmerized with the chandeliers. Brodie Homestead is an enchanting venue to get married!

Amazing venue!! We just got married at Brodie Homestead last week, and it was a perfect wedding. The staff was amazing before and during the wedding helping in every way we needed. All our guests commented how beautiful the venue is. This venue is nice because you don't need much decoration, since the chandlers themselves are so elegant. We also loved how you don't have to worry about the weather since everything is inside. If the weather is nice, we took really nice pictures behind the venue by a tree and in a field. Allison was the manager on duty that helped us with a pre wedding meeting and she made sure to know exactly how we wanted everything and it was perfect the day of. Highly recommend having your wedding here. Worth every penny to have a gorgeous wedding.

I wish I could give Brodie a million stars. Allison and Juliana were extremely helpful and accommodating throughout the entire planning process and truly helped make our wedding exactly what we wanted. The venue is elegant and intimate and my guests were in awe! Our ceremony was breathtaking and the flip to our reception went perfectly and totally transformed the space. Our photographs indoors and outdoors by the beautiful oak tree were fantastic. Initially I was concerned about the flip but the caterers (Pascal's - HIGHLY recommend) and the event coordinators did a quick and efficient job and there were no issues. I cannot recommend this venue for a wedding ceremony and reception more highly!!

This venue was everything I could have ask for on my special day! They did such a great job with set up and working with me to ensure everything I wanted was there. Lots of space for dancing and the music sounds sooo good in the brodie homestead. Needless to say, I was pleased all around with my experience with The Brodie Homestead and would highly recommend them to anyone1

We looked other places but nothing could compare to Brodie. The staff were helpful, accommodating, and wonderful to work with. I highly recommend Brodie Homestead!

Brodie Homestead was an absolute dream! It was the perfect location for my wedding reception. We were looking for something charming, romantic, and classic but also close to town since my husband and I were getting married at a church in the city. This was the perfect option. It was beautiful, timeless, and Allison was SO easy and great to work with. She made the planning of our day seemless and smooth. She helped me brainstorm ideas for floor plan, food, vendors, etc. and made sure I knew that she was always readily available help. It was a wonderful experience and I am dying to see the pictures! If you're struggling to find a classy venue in Austin that fits your capacity... look no further than Brodie Homestead!

Brodie Homestead made our wedding day a dream. Allison and Juliana were amazing to work with! For the Brodie Homestead you don't need to go above and beyond to bring out the homesteads beauty. We used a lot of candles and greenery to create our evening wedding glow.

We held our Sangeet at Brodie Homestead in February 2017. The venue was absolutely stunning, and so many of our guests commented on how unique and special it was to us. Allison was a pleasure to work with and helped us by answering our questions at each part of the process (we are out of state). The venue looked great with some DIY uplighting (it helped to have some extra lighting) and the main wall needed very little extra decor in our opinion. We liked how the placement of everything worked together--the food at the back of the room made sure that people could get their food with minimal interruption to the program and locating the bar near the dance floor made it easier for people to get their drinks (but still continue partying). Allison was great making sure our outside caterer fulfilled their responsibilities, and the combination of working with her and Lauren from Austin's Elite ensured that we had all of our bases covered. We would highly recommend Brodie to others in the future!

If you're looking for a stunning venue that needs minimal decor, Brodie is the place for you! With the ability to "flip" or divide the space, it's a great venue to host both your ceremony and reception. I would also say that Brodie is very versatile; of course, it has the rustic look, but the chandeliers add an extra touch of elegance..and that statement wall - a stunner. The venue can truly be transformed to whatever you envision! Access to the venue is convenient and Brodie has it's own parking lot, which is great. There is also both bridal and groom suites that have their own restroom and are super cute and cozy. Both the indoor and outdoor areas make for great photos! Staff are all so nice and helpful. Juliana, Allison, and Sara were all so amazing and attentive. Would definitely recommend Brodie Homestead!

We had our November 19, 2016 wedding at Brodie Homestead and loved it! It was the perfect size for our 125 guests. We had our ceremony offsite and only used Brodie for our reception but it was perfect. It is such an elegant, beautiful space that comes to life when you put everything together. All of my communication with Brodie throughout the planning process was great although I didn't really have to interact with them that much. The location is great. We got the rustic feel without having to drive out of town and as a space the chandeliers make it just as pretty if not prettier than the places further out of town. Going with Brodie Homestead was definitely a great choice. We loved it and our guests loved it.
