TLDR: Hire them, ask for Megan.
The longer review is Megan absolutely made our wedding seamless. My only regret was not hiring her sooner. We hired Megan for partial planning shortly after we booked our venue. But I wish I had hired her before we started any other wedding planning. She was able to provide a short list of recommended vendors for every single part of our big day. And if for any reason we didn’t like the people on the initial list, she sent over more options. We had monthly meetings where she helped us plan out every little detail, then progressed to meeting with us twice a month and then weekly as we got closer to the big day. She was also an amazing sounding board to answer all of our wedding etiquette questions as well! She was a calm presence in what is otherwise a hectic time. Her owning a rental decor company was also extremely helpful, where we rented decorations instead of buying them and saved ourselves a mountain of a headache. She was so professional and kind, and really listened to help us curate the most spectacular day. On the rehearsal and actual wedding day she ran everything so smoothly that I truly didn’t notice even one hiccup all night - and even more than that it meant my parents and loved ones didn’t have to do any set up or tear down. Megan and her assistant Alaina handled all of it. Whether it was answering my panicked call because I was unnecessarily stressed about something, sourcing us a qualified baby sitter last minute, or helping us hold our venue accountable to things they promised Megan was there every step of the way. I have recommended Megan already to my local friends and if you’ve read this long in the review I encourage you to hire her as well. Megan truly helped this anxious bride feel so much calmer and prepared for the day. She is worth every penny and more. If you book with Cake and Champagne I know you won’t regret it.

We asked Cake and Champagne to plan a rehearsal dinner for our son's wedding. It was amazing! Megan was very organized and had great ideas to create a fantastic experience for our guests. We were really able to relax and enjoy this special time for our family. I am so thankful!!
Heidi and Megan, what can I say about these two. We were up against it. A month out, our lives were hectic as all get out and we were trying to pull of a wedding that all our friends would find memorable. Heidi and Megan stepped in and made our 10/28/23 wedding everything we could have hoped and dreamed of. They really assisted with everything from assisting with the ceremony to making the reception one we wouldn't forget. We were having a spooky themed wedding and let me tell you, they worked with our event space to make the reception super memorable. They even went above and beyond and assembled the 12 ft skeleton! They're great, and super easy to work with. We had multiple planning meetings and they really just put us at ease with the whole celebration.
I truly have no words to explain how incredibly amazing Megan was in helping my husband and I plan our wedding. When we started planning he asked me what we needed to do in order for me to maintain my sanity throughout the planning process, and my answer was that I was going to need help. Enter Megan, who made the planning process easier than I could have ever imagined. She took this type A bride who wanted everything to be exactly perfect, and helped create my vision within our budget while also keeping me calm. Our day was perfect, and I was stressed/worried exactly ZERO times. I knew she had everything under control, and there was no reason for me to be concerned. If I had to go back and do everything over again, I'd pick Megan every single time! If you need help planning any event - Cake and Champagne is the place to go for help!

Heidi and Megan made our wedding day run flawlessly! Heidi was our main coordinator and went above and beyond, coming along to multiple vendor meetings and offering suggestions and help along the way. Knowing the vendors in advance and being a part of those meetings really helped her understand our vision and ultimately plan the perfect wedding day. She was very approachable and available and took all the pressure off me and my family the day of! I couldn't recommend Cake and Champagne more!
I primarily worked with Megan from Cake and Champagne and my goodness she is a breath of fresh air and a life saver. Not only was she very detailed oriented and on top of EVERYTHING, but she was also a calming presences throughout the entire process of my wedding. Megan scheduled several meetings with me and matched my energy and excitement each time. I felt like she was the first person who truly listened to every little detail and wanted to see my vision for my day. I joked with my husband that after each phone call I felt like I had just left an amazing therapy session lol! Megan relieved so much of my stress, especially with creating detailed timelines for me and my vendors. The day went incredibly smooth thanks to her. I originally was on the fence about having a planner but after the fact, I am SO glad I did. Not only was I able to enjoy so much more of my day, but my mom/bridesmaids/family were also able to have a relaxing, enjoyable morning knowing that Megan was taking good care of us. She worked so hard to make sure everything was perfect and I cannot thank her enough. My day was everything I had hoped it to be. 🤍

Megan is absolutely amazing. She handled my mom’s stress and anxiety very well. She made sure my wants and needs were heard and not over shadowed. My wife Carli and I could not have more good things to say about Megan and her Team. We hired Cake and Champagne Event Planning about 45 days prior to our wedding for day of coordination. Between then and our wedding we were able to have several meetings with Megan and she was always available via phone/email. Megan and her team alleviated so much stress for my wife and I and made our wedding week and day of a breeze. They took care of set up at the church and venue, managed phone calls with all other services through the week/day, helped keep timeline and so much more. We also purchased the wrap up package which included her team staying until midnight, taking down decor, and helping to manage all of our gifts. We truly could not have been more pleased with Cake and Champagne Event Planning and would recommend them to anyone!
We seriously cannot say enough wonderful things about working with Megan. We originally did not plan on hiring a day-of coordinator, but as we got closer to the day we really began to worry about who would be taking care of all those smaller details and making sure everyone was where they were supposed to be. Of course, we could have asked a family member or friend to help out, but we really wanted our loved ones to just be able to relax, have fun, and enjoy the day with us. From our first conversation with Megan we knew she would be able to ease all of our worries and keep us on the right track. She was so fun to work with, and always made us feel encouraged about the planning process and reassured us that we were doing a great job! Our planning session with her a month before the wedding was so helpful in identifying the finer details and items that we still needed to check off our to-do list. Megan stayed in contact leading up to the big day, and was available for any last minute questions that crossed my mind. By the time the wedding day arrived I did not have to stress about anything because she made sure all of our vendors had the information they needed, and was amazing at wrangling our large wedding party and family. Megan went above and beyond, was so friendly and caring, and approached everything with a smile on her face. The absolute best!!!
Heidi was a fantastic day of coordinator. I contacted her closer to the wedding date in need of assistance and she was more than willing to jump on board. She took all of the stress away during our big day from organizing decorations, to welcoming vendors, and ensuring our timeline remained on track. Definitely recommend her services for a stress-free day!
Planning a reception can be so stressful, but Heidi and her team made it all better! She was very helpful and had great ideas. It was so nice to walk in to a beautifully decorated venue and when the party was over just get to walk out. Heidi took care of it all! Don’t know what we would have done without her!
Heidi is amazing! She helped us stick to our budget, and had great recommendations for vendors who fit our style. We had regular meetings with her to stay on track and our wedding went off without a hitch. All of our guests told us it was one of their favorite weddings they've ever been to! I can't recommend a better wedding planner!
Heidi and her assistant were absolutely amazing! Not only did she assemble all the florals for my centerpieces and fold over 165 napkins, she also was able to sew up a small tear in one of my bridesmaids dresses. Heidi constantly checked in on me to make sure I needed anything. On the day of the wedding, she flipped an entire room from a ceremony to a beautiful reception with 20+ tables. Heidi absolutely made my dream wedding come true! ❤
I loved working with Heidi! I found her via The Knot shortly after getting engaged in August 2019. I live out of state, so it was important to find someone that could be my eyes and ears. Heidi was so willing to step in when I couldn't be there in person.
Due to Covid, our wedding was delayed twice. We finally tied the knot in October 2021. She was so supportive and helpful in navigating all the changes. The extra time gave me a better opportunity to get to know Heidi, and she is such a warm and good-humored person, which made the planning process so much more fun.
She was a great resource to provide industry knowledge and was always quick to respond to all my questions. I would definitely recommend Heidi and her team to help plan your day. She was hands on and present from start to finish. Thank you Heidi!
Heidi and her assistant were amazing on my wedding day and the days leading up to it! There is nothing she can’t do. She made my wedding day run so smoothly so that I could enjoy the day. I’m very type A, a perfectionist, and very particular about things and I had not a worry in the world on the day of. Heidi handled anything and everything that came her way. If there’s any advice I could
give to new brides, it is to hire a day of coordinator. By the time the day was over, I felt like I had gained a new friend! She is so sweet and genuinely cares about making the day as perfect as she can for her brides! She’s the best!
Heidi literally helped us create the wedding of our dreams! She is not only professional, experienced, detail oriented, patient and punctual but also so kind and always a joy to speak to as well! If you just want some help or are completely new to all the wedding stuff and don't have a clue where to begin you should definitely start with a meeting with her! I was so excited to get married but not about the planning at all! She will be excited about that part for you, and get you excited as well! She kept me calm and collected and that is saying a lot because I have anxiety and during our normal planning all of a sudden the pandemic began, then the lockdown! For reasons I won't get into postponement was not an option! She would answer my calls, texts or Facebook messages immediately and literally make my panic disappear! She helped make our dream wedding come to life! She helped me find the inspiration photos for everything, then she designed a"rough draft" trial of the centerpieces with the materials she helped me choose. Finally on the Big day she made my vision a reality! Everything looked the same as the pictures I had in my head, only better. She set up the decor with her assistant, my husband and I chose to go minimal on it. And I stayed in the Bridal cottage and let them do their thing and was ecstatic when I saw the ceremony area! As well as when I saw the gorgeous decor in the reception area in the barn! Our day was literally perfect in every single way! A few things went wrong but she fixed them quickly and we had no idea they even happened! She thinks of everything, every detail that never crossed my mind! Refilled drinks for the bridal party, cleaned up, kept track of my bouquet and so much more! If I couldn't find someone I wanted to find for any reason she made sure they were at my side within moments! She made sure we knew where to be and when, and would come get us if we were supposed to be hidden away. So we never had to think about time or look at a clock once! Best of all she kept us all so ahead of schedule that the guests got to have dinner an hour early! Everyone we spoke to said it was the best wedding they had ever been to! She and her assistant even did most of the tear down themselves, and when my husband and I left, a few family members and friends helped load the rest up! We had to be out of the venue by midnight, but thanks to Heidi everyone who helped clean up were home by midnight! Heidi has the patience of a saint! I consider her a friend now! So don't get scared away when you are looking at prices of wedding planners and what little you get for their prices like I almost did! Heidi is very affordable and you get incredible service and attention! In an industry where too many people are trying to take advantage of you once they hear the word wedding, it's so refreshing to not only have someone on your side who not only isn't in the business for that reason! But is clearly doing this because they love it and actually care! She goes above and beyond and makes sure that your wedding day is special and memorable! The actual best day of your life, and I can honestly say it was the best day of ours with her help! Thanks to her as far as we knew there was nothing but sunshine and happiness! I could go on and on about her and how much she did for us! SERIOUSLY we would recommend Heidi to everyone! Your planning process and wedding day will be so relaxing with her I promise!! It was the best decision we ever made!

Heidi did so much more than we could have ever expected. My wife and I were adamant about saving a few bucks and pulling off our wedding day without any outside help. As the day got closer we realized how much was going into it and we needed help. Because of her, all of the details were executed before we even thought of them and we were free to enjoy our big day and spend time with our guests. The best piece of advice I could give anyone looking at wedding options is to include Heidi in your plans.
We hired Heidi to be our day-of-coordinator about 2 months out from our wedding. Like most brides, as the day got closer I realized I needed help executing all the plans and hard work we put into our big day.This was challenging for me as I tend to have a hard time letting go or delegating all my hard work. With that being said, I can’t believe we did not contact Heidi sooner. From day one of our meeting, she amazed us with her professionalism, ability to connect with others, and advice. She thinks of everything!! Heidi ended up saving our entire wedding day multiple times with such grace. I am so thankful for her and all that she did for us. From helping us figure out a plan when plates didn’t come with catering, politely escorting out uninvited random people from the reception, and driving to the store and purchasing cake for our ENTIRE reception when our wedding cake to serve did not arrive (just to name a few things)! She is AMAZING! Without her, all the investments we put into other portions of our day would not have gone as smoothly as they did. When I think back to our wedding day, it was a dream come true and it is all thanks to Heidi. Save yourself some headaches and book Heidi to be your wedding superhero, you will not regret it!
One of my favorite moments from our wedding day was when we arrived at the reception venue with Heidi standing outside the door to greet us with a smile, a hug and the exact words I wanted to hear: "Everything is perfect and we're good to go for you!" Pretty sure she threw in a "you look beautiful" or something like that, but really that was secondary to hearing what I already knew...Heidi's the best!
Stepping in to coordinate our day of planning, set up and needs, Heidi transformed the vision we had for our wedding reception into a night of memorable moments with loved ones. She tackled any questions that came up, kept the evening and festivities light and moving forward all while acting on the spot when needed to make everything work out better than planned. She's a quick, creative thinker and problem solver, who listens and goes with the flow, but who is also always ready to offer an opinion, bounce around an idea or provide direction when asked. We had zero worries, headaches or even questions to field with Heidi running the ship as her dedication to not only us but to all of our family and friends in attendance made our wedding a true celebration for everyone. Bottom line, Heidi's fantastic and, thanks to her, our wedding was, too!
If we had not have had Heidi as our wedding planner, we would have been absolutely lost. I was not the type of bride who was very excited about planning a wedding and I certainly did not have a plan of what I wanted it to be like. Heidi worked with me, giving me small tasks to get done so that nothing ever felt overwhelming. She got to know my husband and I and helped us figure out a theme (literary) and actually got us into it. Heidi thought of every last detail. On top of that she responded to every panicked call and text, immediately reassuring me that everything was going to be fine.
In the end she created the most perfect wedding for us. It reflected us perfectly, but it would never have happened without Heidi. If you use her as your wedding planner you will never regret it, you will have exactly what you want and so much more, and you will end up wanting Heidi to become your best friend on top of it!
This girl rocks! She is one of my dearest friends who bent over backward behind the scenes to make everything during my wedding run smoothly. From attending set up meetings with vendors, directly communicating with venue staff, decorating with the bridal party and helping with clean up. She even went with me to buy a wedding dress from Facebook marketplace- because that can be kind of sketchy!
She helped maintained the dessert table, ensured the bride and groom had drinks refilled, kept the DJ on track with the schedule of events and was the go to for my parents when they kept bombarding me with questions! In one instance, we had some guests with specialized food requirements and she was able to immediately rectify the situation before it even came up! Love this girl to death and know she will be committed to wearing flats and being your go to for all your wedding needs and to take a bit of that stress off! Super friendly, fun and energetic! :)
