The short story: Don't think twice, go with Carter's. The long story: I did my wedding research, met with 6 different florists and after comparing price, originality/creativity and quality I chose Terry at Carter's. It was the absolute BEST decision I made for my wedding and it's because of Terry and the Carter's team that I will be a loyal customer for future events in my life. Terry's patience, kindness, can-do attitude, flexibility and creativity are unparalleled. His ability to communicate made me feel at ease every step of the way. He took my wedding vision and brought it to next level. My now husband and I could not believe our eyes when we walked into our ceremony and reception and our guests marveled at our decor. The Carter's team went above and beyond for us, making sure each and every detail was taken care of - even ones we didn't anticipate! Terry spent hours with me and had infinite patience as family members wanted to add things in (a last minute modern chuppah request? Not a bat of the eye from Terry. He made it happen and not only blend in with, but add to in the most perfect way, our overall aesthetic). Last minute changes in budget happened and Terry was there to work with us without judgement. Somehow in the stress of planning a wedding I forgot the groom's boutonniere. Terry figured this out and saved the day. Your wedding team is so important - and your florist/event designer is key to carrying out your vision. You want Carter's on your wedding team. They're not just another vendor but people who truly care and take pride in their work, as they should because it's incredible. They're there and available to talk through each part of the process. I will forever be grateful to Terry and his team for the magic they created, for going above and beyond in ways that we could have never guessed, and for taking this bride's vision to the next level within budget.

I found this gem of a florist shop a few days before I got married and I'm so glad I did they were able to help me last minute and did an amazing job on my bouquet of birds of paradise and lilies it was beautiful. I also got cut lillies and a palm leaf for my centerpieces let me say they were the best smelling flowers and AMAZING QUALITY on everything. Highly recommend going here! Thank you so much! Terry was hands down amazing. I was an out of town bride and was definitely nervous about having someone who doesn’t know me or my style do my flowers FOR MY WEDDING. But he listened and more. We talked for about 45 minutes initially and I felt like he was really trying to understand my vision. I cannot even begin to tell you how happy I was with my flowers. Terry definitely made my wedding the wedding I dreamed of with the flowers. I would 100% recommend Carter’s Florist to any bride in or out of town! You won’t be disappointed.

Carter's Florist is absolutely amazing!! From the second I met with Terry Hagstrom, I knew he was the only florist I wanted! Terry really understood my floral vision and recommended some amazing, unique ideas and centerpieces. Terry was kind, knowledgable and involved. He and his team went above and beyond to make it our dream wedding. He gave us the most glamorous, stunning wedding and we could not be more pleased. My bouquet even had crystals in it!! We were absolutely blown away by the flowers at our wedding and I would recommend Carter's to anyone!!!

Our bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages were beautiful. They were perfect for our beach themed wedding. Not to much, and they let us keep the vases which was an added bonus. They were fresh, and stayed fresh for quite a while after the wedding. They survived being thrown off a balcony even. Easy to work with and they delivered!

I did everything online--their online planning session where I could see pictures was very easy since I planned my wedding from New England. The flowers were even more beautiful in person, and ALL of the flowers made it through the July summer heat! None of them wilted at all. Their prices were very reasonable too, and they were delivered early right to the bridal suite.

Carter's was very easy to work with and we loved the way the flowers turned out. Together we customized our center pieces and I couldn't have been happier with how they turned out. Highly recommend them!

We worked with Terry at Carter's Florist for our wedding flowers. From the beginning to the end we had a wonderful experience and our arrangements were absolutely stunning--even more beautiful than I could have imagined. The staff at Carter's are so friendly an helpful. Definitely can't wait to order another arrangement just becasue.

We used Carter's Florist for our wedding and ceremony flowers and they were absolutely amazing! Terry was very helpful and knowledgeable about what would look best and be in season at the time of our wedding. He was very responsive and always willing to help with anything. They also designed our wedding reception tables, cocktail tables and various other items like our dance floor with a customized monogram light projection. When we first met with Terry he took us right into their flower cooler and showed us some of the flowers they were using for a wedding at the time. He also designed a sample table weeks after we gave them a deposit witht he actual flowers they would be using. It was so helpful to be able to visualize what our tables would look like and tweak anything way in advance. On the day of our wedding, I was completely blown away by the flowers and decor. Our ceremony flowers simply took my breath away and when we walked into the Vinoy grand ballroom for our reception I was stunned at the beauty of it all. Carter's truly made our day magical and so so special. They were our favorite vendor to work with beacause they were not only helpful and responsive but honest. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Terry from Carter's Florist was so wonderful to work with. He gave us excellent suggestions that were within our budget. He and the team at Carter's put together beautiful arrangements and the bamboo arch on the beach was lovely. Was so happy that we picked Carter's to do our flowers!

Terry at Carter's is amazing! He took what I wanted despite the lack of flower availability during the time of my wedding and made my bouquet more beautiful than I could have ever imagined! I would trust his expertise completely. No need to worry one bit about your flowers if you choose Carter's.

The bouquet still looked nice but nothing like the picture I provided prior to my wedding. Very disappointing considering the cost. The flowers looked wilted and did not look put together very well. Also had a few times where I had to chase them down when planning the wedding.

Carter's was great. Worked with our vision and budget for customized bouquets and arch. Flowers were gorgeous and fresh- stayed alive for almost two weeks. Terry Hagstrom was great to work with. Very pleased and hugely recommend Carter's Florist.

Somewhat difficult to get ahold of at first- must speak with owner for orders and quotes, but once the ball got rolling everything went smoothly. Even had a last minute add on for hair flowers which was easily done but did have a few wilted brown spots on them. Bouquet flowers were beautiful and of high quality. Delivered on time and in great condition. Prices were great with reasonable delivery fees.

I went into my consultation with Terry Hagstrom, at Carter's, a little wary. I didn't want traditional wedding flowers, and I didn't want anything overly feminine (I'm not a flower girl). After talking to other florists, and being told that I'd regret not incorporating this pink flower or that pink flower into my bridesmaids bouquets, Terry blew me away. He totally got me and understood that I wanted something completely untraditional, minimal, yet beachy. He was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end, and the prices were reasonable (especially considering I didn't want to blow my budget on flowers). Everything looked better than I dreamed; I was thrilled!

Carter's Florist was amazing! Terry made us feel so confident and excited about our floral choices along the way. They were super responsive throughout the planning process. When the big day finally came, I could not have been more thrilled with how everything turned out! And they brought the flowers not only to the hotel where we were getting ready, but to my room, my (then) fiance's room, etc. It was such amazing service and really made the day that much more smooth and successful! Also, my bouquet was still in almost perfect condition the morning after! The roses were to die!

I wish I had pictures to post because Terry creates custom flower arrangements and mine were amazing! He was also so easy to work with when changes came up - I added and removed some pieces from our list. His stuff was so good my friend is also hiring Carter's for her wedding in March.

We had a ton of guest tell us how much they loved the flowers. My MIL used them too for our rehearsal dinner and they told her the colors she wanted for the restaurant didn't work and put together beautiful arrangements for her.

Carter's was recommended to me by my wedding venue. They have a large online catalog and were very accommodating to me, as I was an out-of-town bride...I never actually met anyone at Carter's or went to their shop in person. Terry and I had phone meetings and web meetings, and I selected all of my flowers from hundreds of pictures of bouquets and centerpieces they have created in the past. Terry accepted pictures of flowers I found online and created the pieces I was looking for. They are very professional and the wedding went off without a hitch. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the flowers did not come out exactly as I had imagined, or as I had requested. The bridesmaid bouquets were big, just as big as mine, and I requested them to be smaller. The color of the purple orchids in the centerpieces was a fuscia purple, I had requested a royal purple. The hydrangeas in the bridesmaid bouquets and chair pieces were sage, they were supposed to be a wasabi green. I received orchids on my wedding cake when they were supposed to be lillies (this was a late addition to my contract, so timing could have been a factor). Everything was beautiful and I was not unsatisfied by any means, but it is probably beneficial to go to the shop and meeting with the florist in person to SHOW them exactly what you want, rather than doing it over the phone. Overall, I would still highly recommend this florist.

Carter's Florist did our flowers for our wedding ceremony and reception. Terry, their wedding consultant, was AMAZING! He is GREAT to work with and knows his job well! At our consultation I brought my fiance with me because I valued his opinion and wanted him to help pick out his flowers. Terry has a beautiful greenhouse and consultation room. He was able to show us several photos on the flat screen TV monitor on the wall. There were thousands of bouquets and he helped us narrow everything down. He was to the point and was able to help me make up my every changing mind. The prices were fantastic and the best pricing that I have ever seen. The quality of the flowers was perfect! They were fragrant and well taken care of. To cut costs we had a family member pick them up at the flower shop. Terry had everything ready for them and the flowers packaged in a way that NOTHING was damaged! Terry kept in constant touch with me and kept me updated on my contract status! I WOULD 100 % RECOMMEND CARTER'S FLORIST FOR ANY SPECIAL OCCASION!

Terry was great. He was professional and spent a great deal of time giving me options for the perfect flower design. The day of the wedding, the flowers looked better than I had pictured. He gave me his direct email so any time I had a question, I was able to ask him directly. Carter's was wonderful and kudos to Terry for going the extra mile. He even delivered them to the wedding site himself!

I worked with Terry and he is just wonderful! Everyone here was helpful, even when I went in at the last minute to confirm petal flowers matched the cake. :) Terry even called the day of just to confirm some of the details. The delivery and set up was on time and perfect. Would highly recommend this florist and I will personally use them again.

Carter's was excellent from the moment we walked in the door 9 months before the wedding. We were treated with respect, asked great questions to help determine what we actually wanted, and got an awesome deal. Terry was awesome, and always available through email any time I had a question, concern or revision for our contract

Carter’s really created the look of our reception. We got married at Sunken Gardens and had the reception in their Garden Room. We really wanted to “bring the garden inside,” and Carter’s did this perfectly. We had a mix of centerpieces that include big, leafy ones with birds of paradise as well as potted bromeliads that guests could take home and plant. They also brought in 10 palm trees and had them back lit. It was a really cool effect. Terry also picked out our linen colors to create the feel of the reception. It looked spectacular, and we credit the entire design to Carter’s.

The flowers were absolutely beautiful and the service was fabulous!

Carter's created beautiful bouquets and boutonnieres for a very great price. The bouquets were absolutely breathtaking--in the correct colors and combination we discussed. They were delivered on time and in cases to hold them straight. However, the boutonnieres did not even last until ten o'clock--they were wilted and losing petals. The most disappointing aspect of the product was the groom's boutonniere. The flower chosen for his was in the worst condition and lay cock-eyed on the lapel. You could not see the full boutonniere when looking at him face forward, but only when standing to his left. The groom was thoroughly disappointed that his groomsmen looked better than he did. I would use them again, but state my intentions for the small details more explicitly.

From my first meeting with Terry - he completely got it. He understood what I was looking for, led me in the right direction, didn't try to "upsell", just helped me and guided me along the way. The result was perfect in every way. I would recommend Terry to absolutely everyone.

I got married less than 6 weeks ago and I have already recommended Carter's to 3 other brides. Everyone at Carter's was friendly, helpful and professional. The bouquets, boutonnieres and centerpieces turned out beautifully. And all at a great price (they were significantly less expensive than 2 other florists that I priced). Their delivery fee was minimal and the flowers showed up well packaged and right on time. Additional kudos: I completely changed my mind about my bouquet a few days before the big day. Terry at Carter's Florist is the owner and knows his flowers and has wonderful customer service. As a destination wedding it was very important for me to have lots of communication with my vendors and Carter's was the first place that I expereinced that had extensive expereince communicating long distances. He had a chat capability that allowed me to see flowers and watch him make designs before my eyes, all online. I had an amazing expereince working with the staff and the final result was more than I had ever expected. Everyone raved about the flowers and the cost was right on. I would recommend Carter's to everyone that is looking for great flowers with a budget.

I wanted red roses, and Carter's has a rose package! The flowers were beautiful all over. My bouquet was breathtaking, along with my bridal party, and the centerpieces were awesome! They really made that room pop! I loved their suggestions, and I'm glad I went with them.

He is the best ever- absolutely transformed the ceremony and reception rooms in to the most elegant affair the Yacht Club has ever seen!
