Hello, I'm Cat! A South Bend, Indiana wedding photographer. I spend my days capturing the kinds of images that make you stop, smile and ask time to please slow down. Your story, your love, is beautiful and I can't wait to capture it in images you will treasure for years to come. I believe in real moments and heartfelt conversations over coffee. Her talent is absolutely unmatched. She has an incredible ability to lead the way with posing while still making everything feel natural, effortless, and so comfortable in front of the camera. Even in moments where we might have felt awkward or unsure, she guided us with ease and confidence, allowing us to fully be present and enjoy the day.
What makes her truly special is the care she puts into her work. Every photo tells a story—full of love, joy, and authenticity—and looking through our gallery feels like reliving our wedding all over again. The experience was seamless, personal, and filled with warmth, and by the end of it all, I was genuinely sad to see the process come to an end.
She is a true artist and one of the best investments we made for our wedding. We will absolutely use her again for future milestones, and I couldn’t recommend her more highly. If you’re looking for someone who makes you feel comfortable, seen, and celebrated while delivering breathtaking photos, she is it.

The day of, she was super flexible and made sure that I had options if things didn’t go exactly according to plan. She and her assistant were honestly just like two more friends getting ready the day of and really put my mind at ease. We got married in December but still wanted outdoor photos. Cat and her assistant had hand warmers to share, and we were able to get some really get shots. We still haven’t received all of our photos back, but Cat shared a sneak peek that we got to view on our honeymoon and could not be happier! I wanted photographers that captured the day exactly as it was and that’s exactly what she did. I couldn’t recommend Cat Alkire more!

While my April 2020 wedding dreams were crumbling before my eyes, Cat was compiling a list of available postponement dates. She sent me tentative timelines for Wedding Plan A, Wedding Plan B, and Wedding Plan C (she is amazingly fast a responding to emails). She made a micro-wedding at my house look flawless. She’s a talented photographer, a much-needed cheerleader, and a shoulder to lean on. I hope you experience 0 pandemics during wedding planning. But the world throws curve balls, and when it does, you want Cat on your team!
