About this vendor

Based out of Ames, IA, Celebrations Party and Rental provides rental items for weddings and other special occasions across Central Iowa. We offer tents, tables, chairs, concession machines, staging, tableware, a huge selection of linens, and many other items. Delivery and pickup are available anywhere in Iowa. Stephanie established Celebrations Party and Rental in 2003. Her husband, John, joined the firm in 2016, and they have been serving couples together ever since. They boast a varied stock that includes over 20 different sizes of tents, 1,000 tables, 4,000 chairs, and several centerpiece styles. They have linens available in over 50 colors and patterns in many different sizes. You are welcome to come and look at rental samples or try different linens in the consultation area with no appointment needed.

    Stephanie and John Burnett
    Owners
    Stephanie has owned Celebrations since 2003. She currently still runs the company, working in the retail store and doing a lot of paperwork! She still enjoys going out on jobsites when possible also. Stephanie has a son and a daughter, Logan who graduated from Iowa State and Josie who recently graduated from Iowa State and also works at Celebrations. In her free time she enjoys annoying her kids, playing pickleball, reading, and boating. She is also a horrible cook and a great dancer. John joined Celebrations in 2016 and became the manager for the tent/tables/chairs section of the company. He handles all the day to day operations of the rental department. He has two daughters. His hobbies include watching YouTube on his ipad, boating, watching Iowa State football and basketball, drinking Miller Lite, grilling out and knitting blankets.

We worked with their West Des Moines location, renting 40 chairs for our wedding. I was able to handle the rental and payment over the phone, and arrange for my dad to pick them up...
on Friday and drop off the chairs on Monday. They had great prices and nice people.

was split between two locations. I also showed up one week before the wedding, in a panic because the centerpieces for my reception were not working out. They helped me rush through and rent the vases I needed and Pat even made sure some of the components were put together for me! All in all, the products were great (the 20% renters discount on the disposable cutlery, tablecloths, napkins and plates were great too!), the service was helpful (they helped me figure out what I needed), and I am very satisfied with what I got from them.

day before our wedding and we forgot a package of napkins that we had ordered. The lady working drove out to our venue just to give us the napkins that we forgot. Very thoughtful!

t up and tear down chairs for my outdoor ceremony. It was an additional charge, but i didnt want family and friends to have to worry about it. They were reluctant to do semi-circle seating at my outdoor wedding, and almost wanted to charge me more. When i explained i was paying per chair to set up and tear down and i should be able to have it set up how i wanted they said okay. They explained that it may not look like the picture i brought in, but i understook and they did a good job on the day of. When i went in to pick up chair covers and sashes they were not all ready. They gave us what was ready and agreed to deliver them to the reception locatino for no additional charge. I rented the Scheman Extravangza for my reception at the Scheman building. The chandeliers and tulle looked amazing. I got so many compliements on it.

ackdrop which saved us a lot of work. They had all our rentals at the facility before we got there and we're prompt in picking things up on Sunday.

ough they were expensive, they were still a much better deal than many other places I had looked at in Des Moines. They also had a wide variety of chair covers, sashes, and chairs, so I was able to match those details with my color scheme.

i rented chairs, table linens, chair linens, sashes, vases, etc. from them. they were good to work with, picked up the chairs that night, but we had to take the rest home with us ...
and return a few days later, as you cant return late at night. would have been nice if they had a secure drop off area as we lived a bit away from them. overall, good to work with!
