Ben discovered his culinary talents while working in France. After earning a Bachelor’s in Political Science with a Minor in French Literature, he decided to travel to Europe to develop his cookery skills. He studied at prestigious culinary establishments such as La Varenne and Ecole de Cuisine before returning to America in 1995 to open a restaurant. Today, Ben and fellow executives Jacqueline Carey and Maui Meyer strive to maintain Celilo Restaurant’s esteemed reputation on Hood River’s food scene.
