Charissa's Floral Design

Charissa has glowing reviews and I believe she has good intentions. She came to us highly recommended by many. I also believe she is popular & is taking on too many projects. When we hired her, she had a wedding the day before, (our wedding was on a Sun.) In March she said her daughters graduation was on our wedding day. She said she could make it work and even accepted the floral contract for the Welcome party on Sat. She said she had a rain plan set as we planned an outdoor dinner. This is our first wedding & we were not aware of how things worked regarding a planner. Charissa said we plan together & then the day of the wedding you and the bride relax and enjoy. The week before a wedding is crazy, she touched base early in the week and then as we finalized the timeline and seating charts she ask me to print & bring them to her office, more than once! I thought it was odd that she could not just print them. Watching the weather, it was pretty evident that some storms would not allow an outdoor dinner, however it is KY, weather changes constantly. She needed a decision on Thursday & wanted me to confirm that she could get into the venue at 8 am. She called me 8 times on Thursday, finally calling herself. We moved forward with the rain plan she had planned, she sent the table layout indoors, and we redid the seating chart, graphs, etc. She said the wedding on Saturday was 550 people, her team would set up our venue while she was at graduation. She also kept saying we will get through this, it will be exhausting but we will do it. She mentioned rosemary in the boutonnieres, our proposal was for Lavender, She said the Lavender did not look good, so she went with Rosemary that was on her original proposal. It was the bride that did not want Rosemary, she does not like the smell. Charissa had never told us, & the day before there was no chance to change it. Wedding day: Big storm 1 til 3 weather cleared for beautiful outdoor ceremony, then heavy rain started at 11. The ceremoney chair vendor said he did not want to have his chairs damaged by hail and did not want to set them up, she called on her way to graduation. NO chairs, when I returned items to rental depot, they had several chairs being returned, I was told they are plastic, what can you do to damage them? It did not hail, but it was windy. She could have moved the wedding to the garden but left it in the grass. Urns were removed from alter pieces, looking too short The quartet could not coordinate the music for ceremony due to folks standing in front of them. The wedding cake was pink with white flowers, shoud have been white with pk. We ordered 10 doz cupcakes and got 7.5. The Br & Gr were seated at a small table in a corner for dinner, (she miscalculated seating) The venue plan had round tables and chairs in the dance hall, they were not put up. There was no seating at ALL! NO chairs for cermoney or dancing! The memorial table was in the rear of dinner seating, no access. 30 min before the wedding ending the bar shut down, why? they said that is what they were told. Wedding was to end at 11. 10:30 Charissa came to me, all was taken down, said she had a 30 min drive home and a storm was coming she wanted to leave. The br & gr had not even exited. She was overwhelmed & exhausted, she did not have a rain plan, just a rain table set up, It was evident timeline and contracts had not been reviewed. We realized that should have all been reviewed with her the week before. 7 out of 10 vendors did not do what they should have.

We LOVE Charissa! I lost count of how many compliments we got on our floral arrangements. She went above and beyond, even checking in with us the days following. Of all the florists we talked to, she was so personable and fun. Her flower proposals are also very in-depth, which was helpful when referencing later. I would recommend her services to anyone in the Louisville area.

Charissa was absolutely amazing in every way. She was both the florist and the day-of coordinator for our wedding and we couldn't have been happier with our experience with her. She was so easy to work with and so friendly. She really cares for all her brides - she was so sweet to call and check in on me before the ceremony! On the wedding day, all the flowers and decorations were absolutely stunning. She was so organized and made sure the wedding flowed smoothly the whole night. She put us at such ease - I don't know how we could have done it without her!

All I did was bring Charissa a color palette for reference and a few Pinterest photos and she worked absolute MAGIC on our wedding day. All of the bridesmaids were obsessed with their bouquets. The centerpieces and arch looked better than I ever could have dreamed. Charissa and her team were so easy to work with, super organized, and made our wedding day even more special.
