Christy Loftin Details Charleston

To say I am disappointed in Christy is an understatement. In the beginning things were great, we spent hours on the phone and she was super helpful. She recommended some of the best vendors, met my mom and I for appointments, and helped with other things along the way. About a month before the wedding was when things started to go downhill. Christy and I had multiple calls planned to discuss things and come up with a ceremony “script” because she was also our officiant…. Low and behold every time we had a phone call, she would call and tell me she needed to reschedule because something came up, whether personally or with her family. I was understanding in the beginning but it kept happening. My husband and I had a specific timeline in mind and she kept telling me that was not the way to do it and just would not listen to what WE wanted for OUR wedding day. Fast forward to the rehearsal where she showed up in workout attire and had us sign our marriage license that day (before the wedding). With all of the other stress of wedding planning I didn’t think anything of it but looking back, I should have known something was off. The day of the wedding I received a text that she was planning to be there but may not be due to a personal issue but she assured me that her assistant, whom I had never met or spoken to, would be there and take care of everything. Needless to say, she did not show up the day of the wedding leaving us without a planner or officiant. Two months later and I have never received so much as an apology, a text asking if we had the best day or if everything was to our liking. In the end I felt abandoned and scrambling to make sure MY day was everything I had hoped it would be. Overall, her communication and organization are not there. Save your money and hire someone that will actually show up the day of the wedding.

Everyone's still talking about her!!!!  I simply cannot put into words how fabulous Christy was. I'd choose her 100 times over. She is brilliant. She is caring. You will feel like you've known her for a lifetime. She listens and really hears your story, then can somehow put it into the most eloquent of words - on the very first try. How?! We took out our own written vows because there was no way it'd get better. The officiant hurdle was my toughest feat coming from a very religious family, but choosing Christy was the best decision - truly - we could have made. Of course I'm biased, but hearing time and time again from our guests - on both sides! - that it was "THE BEST CEREMONY" is meaningful, special and pretty great proof.

I live in Colorado, so trying to plan a wedding in South Carolina during a pandemic was very challenging, but Christy definitely put my heart at ease through my entire wedding process. She kept me on track as well as level headed during a process that can feel very overwhelming. Christy knew the ins and outs of most vendors Charleston had to offer and set me up with the right vendors to make my wedding dreams come true (and on budget!) It poured rain the entire day of my wedding and Christy was still out in the the thicket of all of it, making sure everything was as perfect as it can be, even during a monsoon. I can hands down say Christy will stick with you through all the nitty gritty parts as well as the beautiful parts of your wedding to make sure everything is exactly as you want it. Can't thank Christy enough for her kindness and patience during such a crazy/wonderful time!!

I hired Christy as my day of coordinator and my officiant. She went above and beyond and thought of every detail and was there for me through the entire process; not just the day of! She was so patient, helpful and kind and I truly couldn’t have made it without her. I can’t thank her enough or say enough good things about her. She is amazing!!
