From start to finish, Christy and her team were nothing but amazing. She was our officiant and our planner. She was super responsive and had answers for all of our questions. I had...
no worries the day of and everything turned out perfect. She is the best!
To say I am disappointed in Christy is an understatement. In the beginning things were great, we spent hours on the phone and she was super helpful. She recommended some of the bes...
t vendors, met my mom and I for appointments, and helped with other things along the way. About a month before the wedding was when things started to go downhill. Christy and I had multiple calls planned to discuss things and come up with a ceremony “script” because she was also our officiant…. Low and behold every time we had a phone call, she would call and tell me she needed to reschedule because something came up, whether personally or with her family. I was understanding in the beginning but it kept happening. My husband and I had a specific timeline in mind and she kept telling me that was not the way to do it and just would not listen to what WE wanted for OUR wedding day. Fast forward to the rehearsal where she showed up in workout attire and had us sign our marriage license that day (before the wedding). With all of the other stress of wedding planning I didn’t think anything of it but looking back, I should have known something was off. The day of the wedding I received a text that she was planning to be there but may not be due to a personal issue but she assured me that her assistant, whom I had never met or spoken to, would be there and take care of everything. Needless to say, she did not show up the day of the wedding leaving us without a planner or officiant. Two months later and I have never received so much as an apology, a text asking if we had the best day or if everything was to our liking. In the end I felt abandoned and scrambling to make sure MY day was everything I had hoped it would be. Overall, her communication and organization are not there. Save your money and hire someone that will actually show up the day of the wedding.
Everyone's still talking about her!!!!
I simply cannot put into words how fabulous Christy was. I'd choose her 100 times over. She is brilliant. She is caring. You will feel like...
you've known her for a lifetime. She listens and really hears your story, then can somehow put it into the most eloquent of words - on the very first try. How?! We took out our own written vows because there was no way it'd get better.
The officiant hurdle was my toughest feat coming from a very religious family, but choosing Christy was the best decision - truly - we could have made. Of course I'm biased, but hearing time and time again from our guests - on both sides! - that it was "THE BEST CEREMONY" is meaningful, special and pretty great proof.
I live in Colorado, so trying to plan a wedding in South Carolina during a pandemic was very challenging, but Christy definitely put my heart at ease through my entire wedding proc...
ess. She kept me on track as well as level headed during a process that can feel very overwhelming. Christy knew the ins and outs of most vendors Charleston had to offer and set me up with the right vendors to make my wedding dreams come true (and on budget!)
It poured rain the entire day of my wedding and Christy was still out in the the thicket of all of it, making sure everything was as perfect as it can be, even during a monsoon. I can hands down say Christy will stick with you through all the nitty gritty parts as well as the beautiful parts of your wedding to make sure everything is exactly as you want it.
Can't thank Christy enough for her kindness and patience during such a crazy/wonderful time!!
I hired Christy as my day of coordinator and my officiant. She went above and beyond and thought of every detail and was there for me through the entire process; not just the day o...
f! She was so patient, helpful and kind and I truly couldn’t have made it without her. I can’t thank her enough or say enough good things about her. She is amazing!!
Christie Loftin is a wedding-planning-genius!!

l than I thought.
Throughout the entire process, Christie was there to help us with vendors, contracts, and ANY questions, which was so helpful — I had never tried to plan a wedding before, and there was so much I didn’t know. She knows this area. She knows the market. She knows the vendors. She knows who can offer better prices and services. It was such a dream working with her!
Unfortunately our wedding can’t take place in the way we originally planned because of the pandemic, but even still Christie has been so helpful in navigating our changing plans.
I would recommend Christie to any of my friends and family. She is AWESOME.
Christy officiated our wedding and was amazing! We met her only once before the big day and she was able to deliver personalized vows that fit us as a couple perfectly! She made th...
e process so easy and made our ceremony so special and unique. Thank you Christy for making our big day so special!
In my opinion, I hired the best vendors for my wedding.. except Christy. Hiring Christy was and is the only decision I regret during the wedding planning process. She seemed like s...
he was fulfilling her role as a wedding planner up until a week before my wedding when she told me she would not make it the day of. I was shocked, devastated, heartbroken and felt so many emotions that I can’t even find the words for right now. No bride should have to deal with this unnecessary stress a week before her wedding. I gave Christy all the trust in the world and she hung me out to dry. It still blows my mind that she thought this was okay. I have never felt more overwhelmed and disappointed in one person than I did that week. She never even offered a refund! She double booked herself and had a more important out of town event to coordinate. The most important day of my life, and she casually acts like it is no big deal. She said she would be sending an assistant in her place. The assistant did the best she could especially since this was her first time coordinating a wedding. During the wedding several things did not go as planned. If we had an experienced wedding planner, I would have felt more at ease and things would have gone smoother. Thinking back to over a year and a half ago when I was reading vendor reviews clueless about where to begin and who to hire. Now its my turn to write a review and pay it forward to other brides. I hope that you do not make some of the same mistakes that I did. Find a planner with a warm heart, not one that deserts you on your wedding day for another obligation.
We hired Christy a year before my daughters wedding. We signed a contract that stated SHE would be our coordinator, and that she was on board and ready to start working for us from...
that point. We met with her a couple of times and everything seemed to be going well. We found and hired all the vendors ourselves so that made Christy’s job a little easier. We met again one week before the wedding to finalize everything. Well, she hinted that she might not be there for the big day. We were in shock and stressed out! How could she do this one week before the wedding!! We were so upset I called her that night to be reassured that she WOULD be there. She reassured us that there was a 99% chance she would be there and not to worry. We were so relieved and felt so much better. But to our dismay the next day we get a text from an inexperienced assistant who had never done a wedding at our venue say that she is the coordinator now because Christy would not be there .. no call or text from Christy. We were shocked at her lack of professionalism and her care less attitude. This is the most important day for our daughter and for her to have to deal with all of this a few days before her wedding was heartbreaking. I would think twice before hiring Christy Loftin.. she will leave you at the altar!
My husband and I chose a fairly unconventional, rustic location for our wedding reception. There were a lot of logistical concerns, but with Christy's expertise and guidance, we we...
re able to make our vision come to life. Christy helped us create the perfect ambiance, and she never shied away from a challenge! Christy gets the job done - she hustled like crazy to make sure everyone was where they needed to be and everything ran smoothly. I'd definitely recommend her, especially if you're looking for a special lowcountry experience!
Christy did an amazing job and we couldn't have been happier with the ceremony! She was really easy to work with and even picked up our marriage license for us. She really list...
ened to what we wanted and took it all into account for a beautiful event. I would highly recommend Christy's services!
Christy is as warm and welcoming as she is enthusiastic. She was the cornerstone for our wedding day, and ensured that we had a seamless event. As an out-of-town bride, I couldn't...
have done it without Christy! She is a lovely, generous, and wonderful person to work with.
I HIGHLY recommend Christy Loftin! I was stuck in a wedding planning rut attempting to work full time and plan a out of state wedding in Charleston (which was harder than I thought...
it would be!) when I found Christy and the timing could not have been more perfect. She was so helpful throughout the whole process and went above and beyond to listen to what I wanted and my vision while giving her input with so many great ideas and inspiration. The day of could not have gone more smoothly and left me completely stress free knowing that our special day was in her hands.
Christy did an amazing job planning and executing my wedding! I would highly recommend her. I hired her for the day off planner however, she helped me the whole way and did way mor...
e than I would have ever expected. She even texted me a few days after the wedding thanking me for my business! Thank you so much christy, I couldn't have done it without you!
Christy Loftin was most definitely one of the best choices I made throughout my entire wedding planning process! Every time I talked with her throughout, she understood what I was ...
saying and provided me with a solution. Her attention to detail is incredible, and it is evident in everything she touches: her checklists, her seating plans, her help in menu selection, photographer shot lists, timelines - every single thing. It made me feel so calm just knowing I had her on my team. She orchestrated our wedding day with such expertise, my guests even toasted to her at the end of the night! I cannot say enough good things. My family and I were blown away, and you will be too if you have her guidance for your wedding! THANK YOU CHRISTY!
We originally found Christy to be our officiant for our July wedding in Charleston. From one phone call we knew that Christy would be a perfect fit for the job. We were looking for...
someone to customize our intimate ceremony and she was known for doing just that. When we met with Christy in Charleston in November to go over details and such, she was very helpful with much more than our ceremony. We knew she also planned & coordinated weddings, but before meeting Christy we didn't think this was something we could afford. Within minutes of sitting with Christy, my husband and I were asking ourselves, "why didn't we hire her to coordinate our wedding sooner!?". Asking Christy to be our day of coordinator, as well as our officiant, was one of the best wedding planning decisions we made! From that moment forward everything got a bit easier. We had an expert just a phone call or email away. For the next 7 months she was extremely responsive and helpful! She even met with us again to help us choose our rentals. Christy was an amazing person to have in our corner! Not only did she craft the most perfect & beautiful ceremony that brought tears to everyones eyes, but she brought everything I dreamed about our venue and decor to LIFE. I had so many ideas, and spent months making and crafting and collecting all our decor. We showed up with a truck load of items and a list for Christy so she knew what we wanted to do with it all. Christy transformed the Carriage House at Magnolia Plantation into the most beautiful dream venue- it was even BETTER than I had dreamed and planned for a year and a half. Christy is super woman! She can do it all. To do this day, I don't know what we would have done if we hadn't found Christy. The biggest day of our life went off without a hitch, and we are so grateful for her!
Christy was very responsive with her emails leading up to the wedding, maybe the most out of all of our vendors. However- she didn't deliver. She didn't show up to our rehearsal an...
d didn't even call us. When I finally got in touch with her, she offered no excuse to why she wasn't there. We then had to take time out of our preceremony pictures to walk through the ceremony. She seemed to have us confused with a different bride and groom and caused some unnecessary tension with our families.
christy was absolutely wonderful. we liked the positive happy feel she had right from the get go. we used her web site to help us put together our ceremony, which she then edited a...
nd made suggestions on before the big day. we were a little clueless about the ceremony, so she came to rehearsal with us (included in the charge) and let us know how things were done and helped us put all the pieces together. she was great with our guests and we love that there is someone in our pictures, standing in front of us, marrying us, that looks as happy as we did. there is genuine joy on her face and it made things that much better. could not be happier with who married us. it was beautiful and so was she.
