ABOVE & BEYOND: The morning of the proposal, I dropped off the string lights, battery candles, and a flower at their place. While my girlfriend and I were at dinner, Cody and Allison set up the lights and candles and waited for us to show up. They even moved the whole setup to the floor below when it started storming. THE PICTURES: The photos are absolutely gorgeous! I’m a photographer as well, so I had high expectations. Both Cody and Allison were there taking pictures, so we have lots of different options from different angles and different looks. We love the photos!!!

These are so much more than standard wedding photos! I am very uncomfortable in front of a camera and I don't think any other photographer could have made me feel as comfortable as Cody & Allison. After the first call and in-person meeting with the two of them, it was evident that Cody and Allison find a deep love and honor in getting to know their clients and being a part of each couple's journey. The safety and trust we felt with them at the helm gave us the freedom to be fully present in our day without worrying about pretense or having to make things look a certain way. Believe me, we aren't polished, and with them, we never felt the need to be. They took our simple, normal moments and turned them into a magical realism. The brush of a hand, a child joyriding in a cart, a first dance, an embrace of an old friend, a belly laugh, a faint giggle…all moments we still vividly experience because of the gift we were given through these two. You may later find things you wish you could change, but choosing Cody and Allison won’t be one of them.

The stunning photography speaks for itself and they made us feel comfortable, so getting great portrait shots with them was a breeze. We had a COVID elopement in 2020 and a family celebration in 2021, and Cody and Allison were so generous to come shoot both of our weddings. Having them there for both days made the whole experience really special for us. On our family celebration day, they were there for anything we needed, and did a great job of blending in and catching some incredible moments with our guests. We will recommend them to anyone and everyone (and we have, believe me). We are so thrilled with our experience, our photos, and our new friendship with Cody and Allison. They went so far beyond what we could have asked for!

They also never failed to answer any and all of our questions, were professional and prepared, and more than anything, they kept us calm, present and really basking in through all the crazy emotions of the day. That, honestly, was the best thing we could have asked for that we never realized.  Then when we received our photos of the wedding, we went through all the emotions of the big day again, crying and laughing through every photo— it was incredible. C&A did such a good job of capturing the day perfectly as is, it was worth everything for their services. We are so excited for our album (in process now). And on top of everything, we truly love them as a couple and as genuine humans— we are really looking forward to making a trip down to Nashville and hanging out with them again sometime soon. ens in the most organic, real, and comfortable way. Phil and I had a destination wedding but were able to have a few FaceTime sessions and meet in person when they visited Chicago. We really wanted wedding photos that were not just traditional but focused more on the emotions of the day. Also, neither of us are very comfortable in front of the camera. They made us feel relaxed while providing direction and having fun! If you want photographers who truly capture your day and genuinely care about you both as people, Cody and Allison should be your choice!

like millions of options for every aspect of our wedding, I couldn't be more thankful we chose Cody & Allison. Allison was on maternity leave for our wedding, so we just had Cody shoot the ceremony, and it ended up being perfect! My wife and I had a small, informal elopement on the top of a mountain near Asheville. On the day of our wedding, it poured down rain all day. Because it wasn't only an outdoor wedding, but also one you had to hike to the top of a mountain to reach the ceremony site, we were nervous about needing to come up with a plan B. Everyone, including us and Cody, was from out of town, so we were also dreading the possibility of having to reschedule. Cody was so kind and flexible and up for anything the entire day, which made the decision to hike up there and get married in the rain that much easier! We didn't have an engagement shoot, so the first time we met Cody in person was on the mountain. I can't say enough how wonderful, comfortable, and fun it was to work with Cody. When you only have 10 people at your wedding, having someone there who's more or less a stranger can be awkward, but not once did anyone feel like he was out of place. He was respectful and easy going, which made me and my wife able to relax and focus on the important stuff, which is to soak in the love and the joy of the day. The sun ended up coming out right before the ceremony, so we were able to explore the mountain afterwards to take some couple's shots. The three of us got to know each other and had a lovely time. I can't imagine having spent the day with another photographer, he became an important part of our day both at the time and in our memories. The environment they both created from the very first e-mail, to our stressful and unconventional wedding day, and hopefully into the future is so special. I hope that one day we'll have another chance to work with them!
