If you hire no other vendor for your wedding, HIRE CODY. She was incredible from start to finish, and there is no way I can put into words how much she did for us and our wedding day. We hired her for full-planning services on the recommendatio...n of a friend who is a vendor in the industry (if someone has been working in the wedding industry for 10+ years and recommends someone, you know they are going to be excellent). As soon as I talked to Cody on the phone for the first time, I felt my stress level reduce and knew that everything would be great. From the start, she made planning feel manageable by giving us a task list with due dates, sharing contacts and spreadsheets to keep us organized, and scheduling weekly phone calls to check-in and discuss progress. She was extremely accessible, available to chat at ANY time outside of our scheduled phone calls, and was my go-to person for everything wedding related. She became both a friend and a professional guide (even a bit of a therapist!), which is exactly what you want in a wedding planner.
Cody has planned 500+ weddings over the course of her career, and her expertise was invaluable. She is hyper-organized and fully dedicated to her couples. She was an advocate for us throughout the entire process, managing vendor and family drama with immense finesse and professionalism. She worked within our budget to help craft the wedding of our dreams, and I definitely think we SAVED money by hiring her because she helped us decide what was and was not worth the expense to meet our goals!
Beyond everything she did to plan our wedding, I cannot say enough about what she did to SAVE our wedding on the day-of. Despite a mid-March wedding date, we had a huge snow storm move in the morning of our wedding. There was a layer of ice underneath inches of snow, whiteout conditions, high winds, and we LOST POWER AND WATER at the venue for 7 hours. Cody had already come up with Plans B and C for bad weather leading up to the date, and was in constant communication with all of our vendors (and the power company!) to make sure everything happened according to plan. Since the road was dangerous during the morning, she had her husband shuttle our vendors up and down the mountain and got a generator put in the bridal suite so we could still get our hair done. She had already put into place her plans for getting generators for the bistro lights and the DJ, and worked with our string trio to extend their booking so we would have live music for cocktail hour and dinner. The power and water luckily turned on an hour before the ceremony started, but honestly I had so much confidence in Cody's ability to manage the situation that I never even got stressed about it! Throughout the entire day, I knew that Cody had it covered no matter what, so I was able to enjoy. Looking back, I know that had anyone else been managing the wedding, it likely would have fallen apart. But Cody kept everything together and made our day-of experience extremely special. Her staff, Phoebe and Binta, were amazing and made sure we stayed on time, felt cared for, and had nothing left to worry about. Even the vendors on the day-of kept sharing their astonishment that things went on without a hitch despite the conditions.
I cannot rave enough about our experience working with Cody. She is exceptional, and the wedding planner that you need.
