The Convention Center was the perfect location for our wedding reception. We loved every aspect about our night there. The staff was helpful, the decorations were lovely, and we received so many compliments on the food for dinner. The late night snacks were so good too! Highly recommend using them for your big day

The Sioux Falls Convention Center is just wow. At first it was a little rocky, with several different questions or worries, and I was worried about how it would all come together.
But in the end, thinking of our big day at the Convention Center brings tears to my eyes. Our day was perfect! And the Convention Center and their staff made it that way!
The convention center was already booked when we checked them out. We ended up finding another location but still needed to find catering. We decided to use their services as they provided place settings, servers, bartenders and bar, EVERYTHING. It was such a relief to not have to individually find every small piece of the puzzle. Their staff was attentive and asked throughout the night if everything was going well. I would highly recommend them, AND if you get the buffet the Tuscan Chicken Tortellini is AMAZING!

Had a great experience having our reception at the SF Convention Center! Their chefs are excellent and they were flexible with our menu and even allowed an outside caterer for the Indian items on the buffet. They worked together with our planner and florist for creating a gorgeous set up for the evening. The manager Katie Murphy is a wonderful person to work with, very professional and personable, and very helpful and prompt with all our correspondences through phone or email or in person. Highly recommend!
Jen and her team at the SF CC were so outstanding! They were quick to respond to our questions. They really made our day even better than expected! We highly recommend them to anyone planning an event!
My wedding was beyond perfect! Everything about the reception was better than I would of ever thought! The months leading up to our wedding, I had a picture of what I wanted my reception to look like and everyone at the convention Center made it better than I could ever imagine. I can honestly say we LOVED everything about that night! The people serving our food were very efficient and friendly and our friends and family were all saying how good the food was. Everyone is STILL talking about the limo driving into the reception!
Working with Jen and Sarah was beyond great. I don't think I can say it enough on how much we LOVED everything about that night and Thank you once again everyone at the Convention Center for making our wedding absolutely perfect for both of us! We will be recommending the Convention Center to others!!!

My wedding reception was held at the Convention Center and it was wonderful! The staff was so friendly and helpful throughout the entire planning process as well as during the reception! They set almost everything up which took a great amount of stress away. I have had numerous guests comment on how beautiful and classy everything was! It was a little pricey, but I am still glad I chose to hold my wedding reception at the Sioux Falls Convention Center!
We had our reception at the Convention Center in Ballroom B and it was AMAZING!! I was planning the wedding from out of state and was a little nervous about how I was going to plan such a large event from so far away. From the beginning Jill, the Sales Manager, communicated with me through email, answering my emails promptly with detailed explanations. A few months after booking our original room we decided that it may not be spacious enough and inquired to Jill about reserving Ballroom B instead. The Convention Center was very flexible and assisted us in changing the room and never made us feel like any of our requests were a hassle. When you reserve your reception at the Convention Center an Event Manager is assigned to assist you in planning all the details of your reception at the CC. I went through two Event Managers (both took positions outside of the CC during my year of planning) and was worried when I was assigned a new Event Manager two months before the wedding, but Jessica ended up being AWESOME! All the Event Managers were great to work with, answering my emails promptly and being very detailed in their explanations. I asked many, many questions and none of them made me feel like I was being bothersome or asking dumb questions. Jessica far exceeded my expectations as she assisted me in planning everything through email. She answered my emails the same day and went out of her way to help build an up lighting package and various other customized packages to fit exactly what we wanted and even coordinated a crazy entrance for the bridal party! We were invited to a complimentary taste testing event to sample the food we could choose for our reception, but since we couldn't make it on that date the CC allowed my parents to go for us. Even though they weren’t the actual bride and groom, the CC staff did not treat them any differently which allowed them to have a great time and give us some good feedback on the food. The food at our reception was buffet style and was amazing! We had many, many compliments about how good it was. Chicken was one of our entrees and I was worried that it would be dry because of the large amount being prepared, but it was tender and juicy! The top sirloin was my favorite and was better than I had imagined! All the food was so good, I wish I had been able to eat more. The set up was beautiful also. I told Jessica that I wanted a romantic, intimate feel for the room and she definitely made it happen with great lighting, candles and classy looking linens and chair covers. I can’t stress enough the in-awe and amazing feeling I had upon entering the room to see our reception set up even more beautiful and elegant than I had imagined, the CC did such an amazing job! Ballroom B was a great space as it had high ceilings that made it feel spacious and even had its own set of public restrooms so guests did not have to leave the room. The CC has great relations with the vendors we chose which made it easy because Jessica was able to coordinate with them on what time/where they would be setting up their items. The CC showed the utmost professionalism throughout the planning process and and the night of the event. I am so grateful we chose them because everything turned out perfect! If you are looking for a reception venue the CC is a great choice, they are a little more on the expensive side for an average budget, but they are worth every penny!
Overall I was very pleased with the SFCC. It allowed us to accommodate the number of guests and there were so many options to choose from regarding the look and feel of the reception. The options were endless and I think that is what became difficult. I don't believe we had a consultant that was enthusiastic about their position to allow for endless possibilities. I wasn't aware of what to ask for or what was available so I relied on other brides that had their wedding there verses the consultant because not many suggestions were discussed so I was flying blind without their help so my advice for anyone that uses this venue, ask lots of questions and if you aren't pleased with your consultant feeling your personalities don't mesh, ask for another that is better fit. I felt like I had to pry information out of them so it became more difficult verses fun for the planning. The reception overall was beautiful and they met my expectations but it was lacking with regards to the techical elements we had requested. I had a different picture in mind with some of the projected items we had on the walls, but I never felt fully comfortable asking for more information, I felt I was always bothering my consultant. The microphone was not always working either so we didn't even have it working for our grand entrance and introductions so that was a disappointment. The cost is what it is, it was expensive but the wedding I chose to have made it that way and the number of guests. The food - fantastic. You have a large variety to choose from and I believe all of our guests were very happy.
My husband and I held our reception at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. It was wonderful because they are so extremely flexible. You can have just about whatever you want in whatever way you want it. The food was spectacular. The place settings and room set up were phenomenal. They did a superior job creating the exact atmosphere I desired. The only difficulty we encountered while working with the Convention Center was that our wedding coordinator was difficult to get a hold of. Most of our communication occurred the day BEFORE the wedding, which was a bit stressful. However, I would still say that if I were to do it all over again, I would still utilize the Convention Center.
