close to 3 hours in a Starbucks) our decision was easy. They are so professional and talented, and they worked with us to create a photo and video package that was exactly what we were looking for. When it came time for our engagement pictures, they suggested the most beautiful locations and got our pictures back to us so quickly. We were blown away by how great they turned out. It was our first time in front of a camera, but they made us feel so comfortable. When Covid-19 hit and we had to change our wedding plans, the one thing we knew was that no matter how we ended up getting married, we wouldn’t do it without Sindy and Angelo there to capture it. They were so understanding and flexible when we not only changed our date but also our location. They were willing to travel to Maryland to be there for us and we will always be so grateful for that. Again, we got our pictures back so quickly and they are absolutely perfect. We already knew their photography skills were top notch, but this time they completed exceeded our expectations with the video as well. Sindy and Angelo are so good at what they do. I guarantee you will not be disappointed if you choose to work with them. Not only do Sindy and Angelo produce the best pictures and videos, but they’re also incredible people. We went into this looking for a wedding photographer but left with 2 new friends. We are so lucky to have found them.

graphy - so I asked my husband for help one day. He found a link to Cortese Photography & Film's profile on The Knot and the rest is history :) After virtually meeting Angelo and Sidney, we just had a great feeling about working with them. They are genuine, sweet, and warm. We also loved the idea of getting photography and videography in a one-stop shop - as well as knowing that they would work together well on our big day. Because we got both as a package, we really felt like the price was reasonable... especially in the central Virginia area! They have a "light and airy" style, but still made the colors in our photos pop - which I loved. They even got some shots of the pretty leaves on the grounds of our venue, which is something I really wanted. We communicated in the months leading up to our wedding and didn't actually meet them until that day, but we felt very comfortable everything would go smoothly. We knew we would face some timeline challenges because we were essentially racing the sun - but the sunset footage they got was incredible! Then during our reception, they put some preview photos on an iPad for our guests to check out.... which was really cool. And we got those the next day via email the next day, so it was a great way to hold us over until the entire gallery was ready. The photos were so amazing that I'm still having a hard time figuring out which ones to include in a homemade book. We are also ordering canvases with a few of the photos and calendars for our family, so I think that shows how happy we were with the final product. In terms of our wedding highlights video, I can't say enough how wonderful it is! I am a former journalist who really enjoyed the storytelling part of the job and I thought it was so well done. The video & audio quality was awesome. Not to mention sequencing and transitions. It wasn't just major scenes edited back to back. You could tell it was carefully crafted and professionally assembled. I cried, laughed, and just felt so happy reliving our big day - which are all signs of how special the video is! I didn't even know any of the songs they included, but I instantly loved them because they all just fit so well. Thank you so much to Angelo and Sidney for all their hard work - on our wedding day and the months that followed. We know it has been busy, but we are so grateful we have these amazing photos and videos to enjoy for years to come. I highly recommend them for both wedding photography and videography. We couldn't be happier with our decision!

and prompt! Assuming they have never been to our venue and with the limited daylight we had after our evening ceremony, I was nervous about them getting good shots . However, they both have a wonderful eye and the pictures turned out way better than expected. They got a wonderful range of detailed shots, bridal shots, venue pictures, couple pictures, family and friends.We also included our dog in our ceremony and they were willing to work with our crazy fur baby and got great photos of him as well. We were on a tight schedule and they managed perfectly. My husband and I are a very goofy couple and are not used to having professional pictures taken, but Sindy and Angelo were great with working with us and made the whole day feel very natural and comfortable. My husband and I are typically self conscious but we were so obsessed with our pictures and could't wait to show them off to our friends and family. I highly recommend Sindy and Angelo, they are very professional, easy to work with, and are excellent photographers!

Not only that, they offered us such a great and affordable dual package for both photography and videography. They made us feel so comfortable prior to booking by allowing us to FaceTime them for an initial consultation. They also provided us with a complimentary engagement shoot and that was when we really realized how lucky we were to have them be a part of our special day! My husband and I have no idea what we’re doing when it comes to taking a good picture but Sindy & Angelo were able to guide us through the entire shoot, capturing some of the most beautiful, candid moments. I also have to mention, the day we decided to do the shoot was probably one of the coldest/windiest days in VA beach! Sindy & Angelo totally powered through, despite probably not being able to feel their hands (still sorry about that!!! haha). You would have never known the circumstances with how stunning the photos are! When it came to planning for the wedding, Sindy & Angelo were so professional. They made sure to really get a feel for what shots we were looking for and they completely nailed it down to every specific detail. The day of the wedding ran so smoothly and they were able to get every shot that we wanted plus more that I never would have thought to ask for. Overall, our experience with Sindy & Angelo was amazing. They provided us with memories that we will now get to relive any time we want through their beautiful photos and heartfelt video! They are the sweetest couple, two of the nicest people we’ve been lucky enough to meet, and to now call our friends. I definitely plan on continuing a relationship with them in the future because if my husband and I ever need photos, we can trust that they will definitely deliver an amazing body of work. he type of video I wanted and looked at almost every videographer in OBX, VA and beyond, but for some reason I never pulled the trigger. One night I came across Cortese Photography & Film and something just felt right. From the very beginning we felt a connection with Angelo and Sindy. They took time to skype with us and get to know us as a couple and how we envisioned our special day. It was only a few weeks before our wedding that we finally made the decision to go with Cortese and it was one of the best decisions I made for our wedding. They captured every perfect moment of our day and also let us be a part of the creation of our video and made it more perfect than I could have ever imagined. From having our letters read in the background, to song choices or adding/deleting things it was so easy to work with them. They also kept us in the loop on all timelines and our video was completed just as they said. Photos are important but there is something about a video that captures the true happiness of the day and many things I didn’t even remember. They showed an hour prior their start time to make sure that everything was set up and ready, and they even began shooting early. They were always pleasant to be around and they made us feel conformable for our first ever photoshoot. They are real professionals and their work is outstanding. n the Knot. We originally only spoke about pricing for photos and tried to make a plan for our special day. After numerous emails and phone conversations my new wife and I decided to do photos and a video. We were able to Skype with them so that we could put a face to the names as well as get to know them better and have them get to know us. It was slightly worrying at first to send money to a stranger half way across the country but that feeling was relieved after our Skype meeting and continuous communication. The day of the wedding they arrived earlier than anticipated and were able to set up quickly and devise a plan of action of who was going to be where and get the specs on the specific photos we were wanting. They were professional and courteous and the day went off without a hitch. They offered to stay a little while longer after our time slot to ensure we had the photos we wanted. They conducted interviews with my wife and I and her father and the questions were meaningful and allowed for answers that did not need to be scripted. A couple of weeks after the wedding we received our pictures and about a week or two after that we received our video. Our friends, family and ourselves were SO HAPPY with the product. The photos were great and the video was perfect. They were able to capture our event in such a beautiful manner and got some great candid shots as well. The video was perfect as well. From song choice to editing we could not have directed better than they directed themselves. As far as photographers go they gave us the best product for our money. If they were local to where we lived they would have gained a lot new clients from all of our friends but unfortunately, for us, they are in VA. IF you are looking for photography/videography for your special day I highly recommend using them. Price, quality, personalization and professionalism at its finest. I cannot say enough about how amazing they are and how amazing their product is. Thank you Cortese for making our unforgettable day more unforgettable for many years to come.
