The Couture Closet opened in 2007 in La Grange, Kentucky, 20 minutes outside of Louisville, with the vow to give each and every bride a wedding dress shopping experience they would always remember, with customer service being the key! Offering beautiful well-made gowns in sizes up to 30 and accessories to finish off the look. But most importantly, we are a judgment-free shop, no matter your insecurities, who you love, body shape, size, color, religion, or culture, we want you to know that YOU ARE WELCOMED here! You will be treated with respect and you will be celebrated for who you are! This season of your life is an important one, and we are honored to be a part of it! ironment from the moment you walk in. The knowledge and experience they have in helping you find the right dress leaves you feeling confident. We were never rushed, even as we kept them past closing. They reached out to designers to ask them customization questions and got back to me as soon as they heard back. I was so happy to say yes to the dress here! I highly recommend visiting Couture Closet for an amazing dress shopping experience.

ess. I was given a list of seamstresses for alterations. When my veil came in, Tera took it to the seamstress so I could see what it looked like with my dress. After the dress was altered she picked it up and took it back to have it steamed. There is no better place to go to look for your wedding dress.

ther places made us feel rushed and pressured and left me feeling 1) like I didn't have a chance to look at/try on all the dresses I wanted to and 2) would never find the right dress for me beacuse I was being too picky. These experiences made me appreciate CC even more. From the moment you walk in their beautiful shop in LaGrange, Tera & Lauren make you feel welcome and supported. They look at your Pinterest or inspiration before you even arrive and are prepared to help you find exactly what you are looking for (or help you create a custom gown if needed!). You get to have at least two full passes through the shop and the girls make sure you get to try on any and everything you want (even if you end up going over the allotted appointment time becuase you are super indecisive (; ). I left after the first visit torn between two gowns, and Tera even ordered a third to the shop that I had seen on one of their designers websites for me to try on. Tera never made me feel pressured or rushed but helped guide me in the decision process with kindness and grace. I made several return trips to pick out my veil and accessories and every one was as magical as the first. I finally got to wear my gown (chosen in September 2019) this summer (thanks COVID) and couldn't have been happier with it. The only negative is that now I don't have a reason to go to CC anymore! I would 100% recommend Couture Closet to every bride- you won't be disappointed!

that when I got to my appointment all we had to do was try on their beautiful gowns. I initially went to check out a specific designer that they had in store and after Tera’s keen eye, awareness of what I wanted, and expert advice I realized I was trying to make a Pinterest dress fit me. She didn’t push anything on me but instead led with patience and all of the positivity until I landed on my dream dress! The only negative I can think of is that I’m one of the last of my friends to get married & cannot encourage (force) more of my friends to shop Couture Closet. Thank you for being the sweetest group of women who are all so full of positivity & beauty. 💕💕

LET me tell you something they know what they are doing because Lauren had so many other options for me to try on besides the one I knew I HAD TO HAVE. Which by the way I emailed with them asking about this Lillian west dress I knew I wanted to try on and at least see and they made it happen for me. I know that had they not been able to get in the dress I would have found something just as beautiful because the first dress Lauren had me try on that had a cape I was already getting emotional but then when I FINALLY tried on the Lillian West Shooting Star dress that is when I lost it. It was the most beautiful dress I had ever seen/worn and it was about to be mine. Seriously so thankful for Couture Closet for helping me find my wedding dress and managing to get in a dress I knew I wanted to try on. Saturday mornings, so I just went there for my three alterations appointments (and their suggestion for who to go with was perfect!!). oment we walked in the door. Not only is the Main Street atmosphere so quaint and adorable, but you enter Couture Closet and immediately feel like the most special person on the block. I brought my grandmother and a friend along with me, and we had the whole shop to ourselves. Tera gave us free reign to pick out as many potential dresses off the racks as we wanted, and we never felt stifled or pushed in any direction. She was thoughtful and discerning with every dress I tried, and it truly felt like she cared about the choices we made. Although I was fairly certain I had found THE dress, I had another appointment scheduled at another shop in town that I wanted to attend the next day. Talk about a night and day difference. I was one of at least 5 other brides there, and I was only allowed to pick out 5 dresses at a time, and the consultant clearly had a “pitch” that she’d recited a thousand times before me. I could not get out of there fast enough. Fortunately, Tera welcomed me back that same afternoon, I tried my dress on once more, and said YES! I’m glad I experienced both shops because it solidified my initial impression of Couture Closet. They are wonderful and will make sure you have the dress of your dreams. Thank you ❤️

I found the perfect dress at a reasonable price point and purchased earrings, a beautiful rose gold belt (also a headband) to match my ring and veil all from Couture Closet. I highly recommend them, and Melissa who tailored my dress (at Lauren & Tera's recommendation). Everyone in this process was extremely accommodating to my hectic schedule (I planned my wedding from New York) and made me feel at ease, I never once worried about my "bridal look" before the wedding and I have Couture Closet to thank for that!

It was really different that the others but it just drew my eye immediately. Sara was so sweet! And Lauren was so helpful too! I couldn't decide between two dresses. Sara reminded me not to choose something because I thought it was what I should get and Lauren asked me a lot of questions that helped me make my choice! I left the shop after my first appointment to mull it over. When I went back, both Sara and Lauren greeted me and had my dresses pulled. They just made it the most wonderful experience. I ended up picking that last dress that I decided to try on a whim that first visit, and I just love it! I went back several months later for earrings and a veil, and again received the most personal and wonderful service from Lauren. These women really know how to make you feel special! I cannot recommend Couture Closet enough! They were 100% fabulous from start to finish.

my family and I plenty of time to look around and try stuff on and were so helpful. I ended up ordering my dress, veil and all accessories through Couture Closet. Everything even came in early! The ladies also recommended several seamstresses, and I was able to come into the shop to get my dress altered and meet the seamstress there. It was so convenient! I am so glad that I went to Couture Closet and found my dream dress. I couldn't have done it without these ladies! I highly recommend checking out Couture Closet!

edibly friendly and really listened to me when I articulated my vision for my wedding dress. They also have a very talented eye (I combined a dress and a skirt for my wedding dress and they actually came up with the idea and found the different pieces). They are not pushy - they give you space when you are deciding on a dress and respect your decisions or opinions about dresses, even if they are negative. They also offer extremely reasonable prices, which allowed me to get my dream dress in budget! I also ended up buying earrings, a belt, and my veil from them as well. They offer a wide variety of options, that will be sure to please any bride! Tera and Lauren are incredibly easy to work with. They are responsive and made sure to contact me when any of my items were delivered. Additionally, the provided me with recommendations for a seamstress (Melissa Luther) who did an amazing job and was also economically priced. I would definitely recommend using her for alterations. She was extremely accommodating and did a wonderful job. Plus, she is fun to work with! I was an out-of-town bride and I never felt stressed about my dress & alterations, in large part due to the efforts of Tera, Lauren, and Melissa.

came in and she was able to identify my style quickly. I found the most perfect, beautiful dress thanks to Brooke! The ladies celebrated along with me and my family making my shopping day so special! I loved seeing them at each of my fittings! The only downfall is now that I’m married, I don’t have a reason to go back and shop and visit. I’ll just have to recommend them to every bride-to-be I know and hope to get an invite to dress shopping. :)

by the prospect. They were SO PATIENT with me, even when we face timed my younger sister in. I love my dress, I think it's really unique , and it wasn't outrageous. It's definitely worth the drive out to La Grange (my hometown!)

ery single dress in the store was beautiful, unique, currently in style, and perfect for any taste. I found my perfect dress and had so much fun doing it! All of the ladies were so sweet and helpful. They also offered free steaming the week of the wedding, and made it so easy for me to have my dress looking perfect for my perfect day! Finally, I got my dress on sample sale and saved a ton of money!

er store. But Brooke gave me all the time I needed to think through my options. The dress I chose was not at all what I was expecting to wear as my wedding dress but it was absolutely perfect! When my dress came in, I made another appointment to try it on, and Lauren helped me pick out jewelry. CC has their own alterations, Melissa, who is VERY good. She did a fabulous job and made my dress fit like a glove. There was one spot on the bodice that needed an extra flower appliqué, and Melissa was able to take one from the hem and add it to the top flawlessly. I can't thank the ladies at CC enough!
