Do yourself a favor and stop reading reviews, hire Susanne! She is the BEST decision we made for planning our wedding. I started researching wedding planners who’d support day-of coordination. I started following a few on Instagram and fell in... LOVE with Susanne’s work. The weddings she was posting about were spectacular and I honestly thought I could never convince her to work with me because we were on a budget and only looking for day-of coordination. Not to mention, we were planning our San Diego wedding from afar in Hawaii so the time difference and distance would be a challenge. Little did I know that Susanne would not only become the greatest decision we made for planning our wedding, but also make our day the most seamless, relaxing, and spectacular day. After I convinced Susanne to meet with me as a prospective day-of coordination client, I met Susanne in San Diego at her office. After our meeting, my mom and I knew we HAD to work with her… the way she spoke about what she does and how she’d make things happen was exactly what I needed and wanted. Organized, efficient, elegant, and creative. She quickly explained that she doesn’t do day-of work, and that really, the planning process is more inclusive than that, so we decided she was right and signed our contract! For the months leading up, she worked entirely within our budget, used her vendor connections and network to upgrade simple things like our linens and water glasses which added an elegant touch, and was very detailed in her correspondences with me, which was key because I was so far away. She went above and beyond to ensure my mom and I were happy with the planning and even put up with my OCD nature! Susanne met with me at the venue on another one of my visits back to San Diego, and even had her lead coordinator for the day of the wedding meet with me to go through everything to calm my nerves the week of the wedding! Susanne verified our vendor deliveries, put together our timeline, ran our rehearsal, and even stayed longer than what was required in her contract to help on the day of simply because she "wanted to"... so, so sweet! It was the simple things she did, like ensured that none of my bridesmaids had to start hair and make up before 10AM (trust me, this will be appreciated the day of!), she let us borrow certain items like an elegant cake knife and serving plate, she helped us reuse certain linens and moved them for us the day of so we didn’t have to pay extra for multiple linens, she snuck us into our reception ballroom to see the final product before everyone else entered so we could see how beautiful it was, she even went so far as to make sure my mom’s special order of a margarita cocktail was waiting for her after the recessional ended! These are just the small things, and I could go on and on, but Susanne and her team really are wonderful, thoughtful, and talented. Hire Susanne… she is talented and I learned so much from her. Her kindness and passion for her work is evident in all that she does. The vendors she works with and recommends are quality companies or individuals who also exceeded our expectation. Susanne and her team are worth every penny and will make your experience of planning a wedding easy, enjoyable, and beautiful. Thank you, Susanne, for making our day flawless… you really are an angel.
