Thank You to the entire team at Crystal Lake Golf Club for the amazing memories made on our wedding day – Friday, April 28, 2017 which began at 11am. EVERYTHING was absolutely PERFECT from the beginning to the end. Diane was amazing to work with from day one. The room was beautiful for both the wedding ceremony and the reception. An OUTSTANDING value in regards to BOTH pricing AND services. EVERYONE raved about the food and the service at Crystal Lake Golf Club. What a magical day!

Our reception was perfect! Diane and Victoria were really nice to work with leading up to the event. The servers were wonderful and very attentive, and the food was insanely good. I even had a few guests tell me it was the best meal they'd had in a long time. We had dijon crusted chicken and salmon, paired with the smoked gouda mashed potatoes. I would highly recommend Crystal Lake to anyone. They take great care of you and do everything in their power to make sure your reception goes off without a hitch.

Diane and Victoria made sure everything was perfect! I was planning my wedding while still in South Dakota for school and they were so understanding and accommodating. All of the staff were so courteous and kind throughout the night. We had so many complements from our guests about the venue and how pretty and fun it was. Amazing place to get married!

when i started planning my wedding over a year ago, i knew i wanted to have it at a golf course. (my now husband VERY much enjoys golfing) I had ideas of what i was looking for and i found that with Crystal Lake. i contacted Diane and Victoria and they were very quick to get back to me with the questions i had. it was a very easy decision to make that we wanted to have our wedding at Crystal Lake. from the beginning it was very smooth and laid out to us on what we needed to make decisions on. Diane and Victoria helped us each step of the way. we were able to sample the foods offered by the caterer. (which were more than amazing and ALL of our guests loved the food) we were able to design the room the way we wanted, at the budget we could afford. there was no push to spend any more money than we could afford. Every time i was worried about something, or made a slight change in food selections, or table covers, or centerpieces, Diane and Victoria came to the rescue helping us make the best possible options and put us at ease (cause planning a wedding is hard work) :) the day of the wedding was PERFECT. we had beautiful weather for our outdoor ceremony, (which the outdoor gazebo was splendid) and Diane and Victoria were on top of their game when it came down to the final minutes before i made my entrance down the isle. they made sure all the family members we invited, were in their seats before we started. They helped the bridal party make their way down the isle in beautiful style and grace making sure they walked when they needed to. Our ceremony was short and sweet, and we did photos after the ceremony so Diane and Victoria were able to get all of our guests to cocktail hour to enjoy the yummy food selections we had picked out (which were also a huge hit with our guests) when our photos were done, they made sure i had everything i needed before our grand march. The staff was well trained and excellent that night. They knew exactly how to get the food to the tables in a very timely manner to make sure our timelines for the evening went off as scheduled. There was so much going on that day, that i think i would have been lost without the help of Diane and Victoria. They helped make the happiest day of my life better than i could have ever asked for. I truly believe that Diane and Victoria are the very best at what they do. They truly did care about myself and (now husband) it was like they became part of the family during the process and the day of the wedding. They really wanted us to have the time of our lives on our wedding day and they did just that! I am so thrilled to take the time out of my day to write these to amazing women a well deserved review. If i could do it all over again I wouldn't change anything they did for us!!!! We cant thank them (and the staff) enough for all their hard work and coordination with all the details of our day. They made sure nothing got in our way from having the most beautiful wedding we could have asked for. THANK YOU SO MUCH DIANE AND VICTORIA. Crystal Lake had amazing staff, service, and food! We would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a golf course wedding venue.

Crystal Lake did an excellent job planning and executing our reception! It was stress free for me as the bride, the food was delicious, and the venue was beautiful. My sister also had her reception here, and our family can't recommend this venue highly enough!

Diane , Victoria and staff - Thank you so much for an amazing wedding and reception at CLGC on 8/28/15. It was everything I was expecting AND more! Diane and Victoria worked closely with me on every detail of the day. As a former caterer myself, I appreciated their honest feedback on food, logistics and decor for their venue. The entire event was planned in less than 30 days and went off without a hitch. We planned on an outdoor wedding in the Gazebo at sunset, and thankfully the AM rain cleared out and we had beautiful, clear skies and a moonlit evening. So many compliments from our guests on the food, venue and friendly staff. The food and dessert displays were STUNNING! I can't say enough good things about CLGC as the venue for our exciting wedding celebration! Joyce and John

From the very beginning Diane and Victoria at Crystal Lake were great! They were always 100% honest, gave their opinion when asked for it and so very helpful. We had our ceremony outside at the gazebo and we couldn't have asked for a better location! It was gorgeous and the trees and plants around were very well maintained. Victoria and Diane were so great at guiding us all and making sure the ceremony went perfect-even though my Grandma was late to the ceremony, it went on without even skipping a beat. My husband said they were like "special ops agents' getting everything done on time and perfectly, while talking secretively into their headsets =)We had the reception in the banquet hall. The lights and white draping (excuse my lack of correct terms lol) were already set up and made for a beautiful touch to the room. Again, dinner and everything went off perfectly! We received sooo many compliments on how beautiful the ceremony and reception was. The food, oh gosh, where do I even start.. it was soooo delicious! Everyone boasted about how amazing the food was!! From the very very beginning Diana and Victoria were so organized and helpful. I really do have them to thank for helping us throw an amazing wedding. I would recommend this venue to anyone. The only things that weren't 5 star worthy, would be the fact that we had to set up Saturday morning (as they were busy with an event on Friday night) and we also had to have our rehearsal on Saturday as well (again because of an event on Friday night). Diane told us these things at our very first meeting though, so we knew before we booked the venue. We were not going to let these minor issues stop us from booking this beautiful venue. Like I said before, the food was amazing and priced very reasonably. All and all I loved having our ceremony and reception at Crystal Lake. It honestly was the perfect day! A giant thanks again to Diane and Victoria and the whole staff there!!!!

So glad we picked Crystal Lake Golf!!! After exploring numerous venues, we found Crystal Lake and it didn't take long to make a decision. Better prices, beautiful setting, and Diane and Victoria were so nice and helpful (from beginning to end)! We received many compliments from our guests on the food, the décor, and the flow of the evening. I was concerned about space as we had 240 people, but it didn't feel crowded ... they really know how to make it work!

Diane and Victoria were wonderful to work with! They guide you through everything so that your wedding will be a beautiful experience, and ours was incredible! Our guests are still raving about the venue,food, and staff days after our wedding. They really put their hearts and souls into making sure everything goes as smooth as possible, even when the weather can threaten to ruin everything. Victoria was amazing to me, from the rain pep talk, to transforming the dance floor and reception room into the perfect wedding ceremony! We love her for that personal and uplifting act and her caring nature! I would recommend them and this beautiful venue in a heart beat!!

I would recommend Crystal Lake to anyone looking to get married. I had the best experience and everything went perfect. Diane and Victoria are wonderful to work with and so helpful. We got so many compliments about how wonderful the golf club and gazebo are and how beautiful everything was decorated and how delicious the food was. I had my wedding reception at buck hill, which is owned by crystal lake golf and banquet facility. I couldn't have been more impressed with how well everything came together. Diane and Victoria were so knowledgeable, we had no idea how much of things to have (kegs, bottles of wine, appetizers ect) and they were right on with the amounts. When I initially started planning my wedding reception I thought the price was very high, but after looking at other venues it was very reasonable. It was very nice that it is kind of a one stop shop they have many options and can do much of the reception for you. My wedding day was awesome and I received so many compliments on the food and just the layout of the space. I couldn't have been happier and more satisfied with buck hill, it truly was a flawless reception and I feel that it is because of Diane and Victoria. Thank you so much ladies!

We had an amazing wedding day with the wonderful help from Diane & Victoria and ALL the staff there at Crystal Lake Golf Club. Our guests and ourselves LOVED to food and commented to us on how GREAT the staff was and how we and our guests also LOVED the outdoor ceremony and thought it was BEAUTIFUL!!! We already have friends that want to get married here. Diane & Victoria are absolutely amazing to work with and we'd refer them to everyone!

I walked into Crystal Lake with a terrible attitude. I had just been told by my parents that they were feeling uncomfortable about hosting my wedding reception in their back yard so I was feeling like I was running out of options and time with my wedding only 4 months away. I was dead set against having a traditional (expensive) wedding reception with a DJ and dry chicken. My fiancé and I were really hoping to have a very different and memorable experience for our guests. When I sat down with Diane and Victoria and talked about what I had envisioned for our special day they were all on board. I had never planned on working with a venue and had taken a lot of that stress upon myself to have everything end up perfect. I did my own flowers, center pieces, stationary, and so on... Diane made me feel at ease about giving up that control, and for the record that NEVER happens. She was so patient, so kind and so organized-- every time we met I felt more confident in my choice to work with them and my reluctant nature faded as I realized that I didn't know as much as the pros when it came to wedding planning. They absolutely never pressured me once to spend more money on our reception and their minimum pricing for renting their large banquet hall is very reasonable. They do have their strict guidelines of what you can and cannot do at this venue but not a single one got in the way of my picky taste and in retrospect are completely necessary for the success of your wedding/ event and for the success of their business. We had 125 guests that are still raving about the unbelievable food at our wedding. We ordered the pork tenderloin and London broil for our guests with the smoked gouda mashed potatoes and vegetable medley. Wow. Also, my groom and I didn't take photos until after the wedding ceremony and our venue was kind enough to save some of the butler passed appetizers for us when we arrived. The wait staff was wonderful, very polite and willing to help me in anyway they could and looked like they genuinely enjoyed working to make the evening special. I've gone to weddings where the wait staff looks like they'd rather be dead-- not at Crystal Lake. There is only, however, one negative... which , luckily, is also a positive. Diane will not answer her business phone if she is meeting with a client. As her client you have 100% of her attention so if you are a potential client and the phone keeps ringing LEAVE A MESSAGE. It will be worth it when she calls you back. Thank you Diane, Victoria, and the rest of the staff at Crystal Lake who made our day truly special.

I just want to say thank you to Diane, Victoria, and the CLG staff for making my wedding spectacular on September 6, 2014. Diane and Victoria are just wonderful people and they truly care that their brides are happy while they are there on their wedding day and throughout the entire wedding planning process. I couldn't have asked for a better two when helping me on my wedding day. Diane and Victoria always responded quickly by email and phone when I had a question that needed an answer too. On my wedding day they were both there helping set out my decorations from the tables to hanging paper lanterns outside on the balcony. We had our ceremony outside in their brand new Gazebo and it was amazing. The flowers were beautiful, the landscape was gorgeous, a bride could have not asked for anything more. LOL. After my ceremony, Diane had a golf cart waiting there for me and my husband to drive up to the reception area. They even had golf carts waiting for my guests who could not walk so quick to get them up to the reception area. Oh and I can't tell you about their fantastic staff on my wedding day! They were absolutely superb.... They always made sure that I had everything that I needed and at one point during the dance someone stepped on the back of my dress where it was dragging. The staff went and found some stuff to help me tie it up personally so that it wouldn't happen again. Oh and I cant forget about the food. Wow was that great. All of my guests just raved about the food and the staff, from how everything was served and everything came out in a timely matter. Just wonderful. After my fantastic day there the staff even helped empty my tall cylinder vases full of water an helped pack all of my decoration in boxes for my mom and helpers to carry out. So once again Diane, Victoria, and CLG staff I cant thank you enough for all the great things you did for us. You surely made our day unforgettable... Jamie and Jacob R.

We originally booked with Crystal Lake as it was a great location, well priced and we really liked the head wedding coordinator. We were highly disappointed. They only offer two wedding tastings throughout the year, both on random Thursdays. This was a huge problem as my fiance and I lived out of state. Also, at the tasting they only offered three appetizers to sample and a very small selection from their menu for the main course. Also, we were told that we could have our rehearsal the night before our wedding as we were getting married during a holiday week. However, when it came to the month of our wedding they said we had to have it the DAY of our wedding as they (the two coordinators) would not be at work as they would be on vacation. I missed the rehearsal as did my bridesmaids as we were getting our hair and make up done. At the actual wedding, they had our ceremony set up completely different than was described and shown to me in pictures. We had ten bottles of wine on reserve but were charged for 17. We were also charged for two additional kegs despite the fact that we told her that we never wished to dip into our reserve. They never contacted our contact person about the reserve alcohol, either, instead just kept charging us. Also, a waiter broke a glass in an entryway. He let my guests clean it up and when they told him that people could cut themselves on it (as people were dancing barefoot) he said, "Well, then they should put shoes back on." Also, some of our guests brought in small shot bottles which was against the Club's policy. However, instead of approaching myself or my groom, the coordinator went directly to my guests and swore at them, scolding them like children. Another large issue I had was the fact that the coordinator told me she had a room for myself and the bridesmaids to get ready/dressed before pictures. She failed to mention that the "room" she had for us was the public restroom. It was tacky and horrible as the bathroom was small. Any and all pictures of myself getting into my dress and my bridesmaids getting ready have stalls in the background. The food WAS good and my other vendors reported no problems working with the coordinator. The grounds were also pretty and other than that one obnoxious waiter, the wait staff was nice. However, I would not recommend any get married here. I'd recommend going somewhere else for the same price or even a little more expensive as it was a large headache and I was not satisfied.

I had my July 2013 wedding reception at the golf course location. The food was amazing! All guest had the artichoke chicken and London broil for the same price as giving guests a choice and the amount of food was incredible. The overall vibe was nice and friendly. We had a smaller guest list 135 so we had lots of extras in order to meet the minimum for a Saturday wedding, but it turned out so well that it was worth the extra work to figure things out to maximize my budget.

The day off my wedding was 5stars across the board, but in planning there were details that we had talked about that they never wrote down. So, I thought they were taken care of, only to find out I had to call 2 days before my wedding because my dad noticed things were not right. They did fix it, but it added extra stress I didn't need.

Loved the wedding planners. They worked with us every step of the way! We HIGHLY suggest this place to anyone.

I cannot thank Diane, Victoria and the CLG staff enough for the amazing service I received for my July 2012 wedding. I had wanted an outdoor wedding, but because of the 100 degree weather we decided to move it inside and was I thankful for the air conditioned room. Everything was so perfect and I couldn't have picked a better place or a better staff. Diane and Victoria catered to my every need. The food was excellent! I have gotten tons of compliments saying that the food was excellent and it was the prettiest wedding they had ever been too. My wedding day was perfect couldn't have done anything better! Thanks to everyone at CLG! I will be saying nothing but good things about CLG.

I can't say enough how wonderful the service and staff were at Crystal Lake! I worked mostly with Victoria, but both her and Diane were so helpful and fabulous to work with! From months before the wedding to the day of the wedding, no matter what it was, either Victoria or Diane were always there to answer questions or to help solve problems. The food, dijon crusted chicken with dijon cream sauce, was to die for. Everyone still raves about it! I would highly recommend this vendor to anyone. Thanks to Victoria and Diane for making our day so wonderful!

I have to start by saying how sad I am that I don't have an excuse to talk to Diane & Victoria at CLGC anymore! These ladies are absolutely wonderful to work with & I honestly felt like we had two personal wedding planners during our year of planning. Everything was amazing from start to finish. I had numerous guests tell me the day of our wedding & the weeks following how fabulous everything was from the beautiful decor, amazing food & staff that made you feel like the genuinely cared. Every brides biggest fear on her wedding day is rain, especially if you've planned for an outdoor ceremony like we did. It rained up until 15 minutes before our ceremony & when the clouds broke apart Diane & the entire staff at CLGC were outside drying off the chairs & even put a fan down the aisle to dry it up so my dress wouldn’t get wet! We were married OUTSIDE on the gorgeous patio looking over the golf course... Unbelievable! My word of advice for anyone looking for a ceremony or reception site is to remember you pay for what you get! They may not be able to negotiate pricing but what you do pay for will be taken care of with every small attention to detail in place! These ladies are extremely professional & they know what they are doing. Hands down the best decision I ever made was to have my wedding ceremony & reception at Crystal Lake!

The Buck Hill venue was perfect for our Wedding Reception. The food and service were excellent. Best walleye we ever tasted. The staff were professional and friendly. Plenty of room to roam at this site: The Whittier Room, large dance floor,full service on- site kitchen, Tuckers Bar, huge patio, and plenty of parking. Location was less than 2 miles from Hosanna Lutheran Church. Our catering coordinators - Victoria and Diane were instrumental in making our day fun, memorable, and worry free. Thanks so very much!

We were thrilled with our wedding at Crystal Lake Golf Course! The facility was beautiful and accomodating to our guests! Everyone commented HIGHLY on the food! We couldn't have had our wedding go as smoothly as it did without the staff's hard work! We found the venue to be affordable and we got our money's worth! We were lucky to work with such great people for our wedding!

Pro-great space, and fantastic food. People were raving about the food all night. Since we got married in off season, the minimum was affordable for us. Diane and Victoria were really nice. I also heard a lot of positive comments about the bartender. Con-We couldn’t do a rehearsal till the day off. My husabnd found this to be pretty stressful. Their communication also wasn’t always great. I would still recommend them, but advise you to keep reminding them of things.

Everybody was very friendly and the food was delicious. They did the ceremony and reception and helped everything run smoothly. The only thing we did not like was they were not willing to negotiate on any of the prices.

Good value for your money. My only complant was that we asked for them to serve our main cake, but it never was. It was a little melted (almost 100 degrees that day), but still tasted great the next day :)

Amzing all around if u want stress free go to crystal lake! We had no goof ups excellent help in planning and saving money. And the food was great!

I could not say enough fabulous things about Crystal Lake, they went above and beyond my expectations! FIrst, I would like to say that during my wedding planning my groom was in Iraq. Crystal Lake willingly adjusted our paperwork allowing for changes of dates or God forbid his death - many other places did not do this and would have charged me for my wedding or to change the date. Crystal Lake put in the paperwork that I would not be charged for either of these circumstances. Secondly, my wedding was BEAUTIFUL. Diane and Victoris are attemtive and truly make sure that your day is exactly as you imagined it. They are both just as helpful on the actualy day and help out until the clock strikes midnight and the party is over. They ARE AWESOME!!

I had my reception at Buck Hill Witter Room which is run by the same company that operates the Banquet facility at Crystal Lake. I had an excellent time, the staff there was very helpful in counseling and planing the reception. They kept everything flowing well, there was downtime to mingle with people but not so much that the evening draged on.

I highly recommend working with Buck Hill/Crystal Lake! Diane & Victoria were superb to work with. They met us on a Sunday afternoon to show us the venue which took away from their personal/family time. We exchanged phone calls and emails until we had every last detail nailed down. You could tell they have been doing this for quite some time because they made me feel comfortable, relaxed and worry-free.

Crystal Lake did just an absolutely wonderful job with our reception. Everything looked just perfect with the tables and all the decorations. Everything ran super smoothly and we received nothing but compliments about how everything looked and how wonderful the food was. It was a big relief that my family or my husband or I didnt have to worry about any of the decorations since that was included in the cost for the room.
