Your first dance together, as bride and groom, can be one of the emotional high points of your wedding reception ceremony. At Dance Code Ballroom Studio, located in Laguna Woods, in Orange County, CA, we specialize in wedding dance lessons and ballroom dance lessons.
This includes the first dance, father-daughter dance, mother-son dance, bridal party, group, and social dances. We teach dance to wedding couples, parents, attendants, and guests. We can even teach a dance class, and have dance contests similar to Dancing with the Stars at your reception, shower, and party as a unique form of party entertainment.
The most popular wedding dances are Waltz, Foxtrot, Swing, Salsa, Blues (Slow Dance), Tango, Rumba, Night Club Two Step, and Cha-Cha. My fiance and I have never danced before and were looking for someone to help us with our first dance for our wedding. I came across this studio and read the reviews and decided to give it a try. The reviews are TRUE! Jennifer is amazing!!! My fiance and I had no rhythm or dance moves whatsoever and now we have a 3 minute choreographed dance for our wedding to our special song. This was such a great experience, my fiance and I made this a date night for the past month. Cannot recommend Jennifer enough! Thank you so much for everything!!!!
I don’t typically write reviews, but wow. My husband Blake and I got engaged around a year ago and when we planned our wedding I was searching everywhere for private dance lessons to help us with our first dance. After spending hours of trying to find the perfect dance studio, we decided to try Dance Code Ballroom. I can’t say enough amazing things about instructors, Jennifer and Kirill. They could tell that we were very nervous in the beginning but they immediately knew how to make us feel comfortable. They were extremely patient and caring. They worked with our song request and by the time our wedding came around, Blake and I felt completely confident with our choreography, which is amazing since we are nowhere near dancers. We got so many compliments on the routine from our family and friends and we owe it all to Jennifer and Kirill. They are truly miracle workers. If you are still on the hunt for other dance studios, let this review settle your decision. You will not regret coming to Dance Code Ballroom.
I have been a student of Jenya for many years. And when my daughter was getting married, there was no question in my mind who would be the best at choreographing her first wedding dance, as well as my father/daughter dance!
Jenya is a high level, trained, world class professional competitor in Ballroom dance, which gives her such an edge in designing Wedding Choreography. Jenya quickly gains understanding
of the couple's desired music, their skill level, the venue and its dance floor; designs a beautiful yet do-able choreography. She recommends appropriate practices and exercises as may be needed.
Jenya understands that the wedding couple have many things going on in preparation for their special day. She crafted an efficient and beautiful first-dance program for my daughter and her now husband and such a special dance for my daughter and I. This will stay in our memories forever!

Jennifer and Kirill are both great. They have the skills and the professional experience to help you get to where you want to be... and just as importantly, the patience to work with you through the process.
1. Start Early! If you want to show off and put together a routine that will wow everyone... Start. Early. Don't expect to go from shuffling around to a star performance without putting in the effort!
2. Talk about what you want.. a lot! Choreography can be a process.. and if it doesn't feel right.. say so! Try something else!
3. Loosen up. You're supposed to have fun! And Dance Code will help you do that. Good luck!
My now husband and I researched several dance studios for wedding dance lessons and found a perfect one. We had such a great experience at Dance Code Ballroom! We both are not the best dancers by far, yet they made the entire process so easy and so customized to what we needed and wanted in our wedding dance. Jen was so sweet and accommodating, starting from scheduling to dealing with our requests and timeline. The teachers and staff are very high level and super professional. The final version of our wedding dance and choreography far exceeded our vision. For any couples looking for wedding dance lessons, I can't recommend this studio enough.
Me and my wife Anna decided to do a wedding dance a month before our wedding. We came up with a song that we felt very close and started to look for a dancing studio. Having so small time left before the wedding we knew that we have to find someone special to make it happen not only because of time but also I’m not a good dancer and totally missing a rhythm. Not really my thing.
Friend of us recommended calling Jen and talking to her about the wedding dance, maybe she can fit us during this month. Once we talked to her we immediately felt confident that we will be able to dance and show something special to our friends and guest.
I’m not a dancer, as a matter of fact I’m a very bad dancer, and I was worrying a lot how to perform something special and fun at the wedding ,will I remember the moves ? and I’m not that flexible basically I was telling Jen I need something very simple, but she convinced me to stop worry and just practice and it all work out. Don’t get me wrong I love music and dancing every time I hear electronic music, but it was our wedding dance and we wanted something romantic and energizing.
We had 10 sessions with Eugenia and I truly can tell you that we enjoyed it a lot. Every time it was fun and after each session I was feeling more confident about the dance. She break down each part of the song for us into sections of moves, toughed me basics of a quick step and just supported me and my wife.
At the wedding day Me and Anna were dancing amazing, relaxing and just having fun. It was the best dance I have ever performed.
I cannot be more thankful to Jen for talking her time and teaching us beautiful moves, how to be connected with the partner during a dance, make it romantic and memorable.
She is a truly the best at what she does and I wouldn't go anywhere else.

My husband and I are so pleased with how our wedding dance turned out! Thank you Jen at Dancier Ballroom! It was like a fairy tale not to mention all the fun that we had on the lessons We learned and danced a combination of night club two step and foxtrot. I enjoyed dancing with my fiance and now husband and this is such a great hobby that we would like to keep exploring after the wedding as well. I must tell you, learning to dance was not easy and sometimes my husband was having difficulty memorizing the steps, but it was totally worth it. The wedding dance was so romantic and we got so many compliments for it. This will be a great great memory for the rest of our lives!
