planner for countless weddings over the years, and she did the same for a good friend of mine a few years ago. I don’t work with Deanna, but I know that the folks at my club who do all heap praise on her for her caring attitude, her creativity and her attention to detail. So when my husband and I got engaged, one of the first things we did was to seek out a professional wedding planner. We were out of town and jumped on a Zoom with Deanna - which really broke the ice. As soon as that call wrapped, we knew that Deanna was the one we’d be spending the next 10 months with leading up to our wedding. She put together a detailed proposal for her services, and after that, I don’t think we even spoke with anyone else. We had great confidence - and we knew we’d be in good hands. If I had to look back, I’m certain that between my husband and I, we exchanged hundreds of emails, many Zoom meetings and any number of phone calls as we nailed all the plans down tight. Deanna is a seasoned professional, and her relationships with vendors, designers and others really helped us steer the course correctly. She’s done so many weddings, but she gave us the attention we needed, and really helped us think outside the box with ideas that made our day special. She arranged visits to a few different rental companies so that we could help narrow down our design choices. She offered suggestions for florists, bakers, photographers and more. She built a website for us and helped arrange contracts with hotels, lighting companies - and on and on and on. We struggled finding a venue for our rehearsal dinner, but she made it easy - with a fantastic suggestion and an introduction to the manager. She helped to coordinate flowers and arrangements that weren’t even part of the wedding day itself; delivered guest boxes to various hotels where our guests were staying … and so much more. She visited the wedding venue with us multiple times, walking us through the space, making suggestions and taking notes, truly making sure that we were pleased with everything. At the end of all of this, on our wedding day, she provided a sense of calm and control. We’d done a lot ourselves … but on that day, we turned it all over to her - and it ran like clockwork. Capping off the night, going well above and beyond what we ever expected, Deanna gathered up our gifts and brought them back to our house - and waited for us outside of our after party, bringing us home when the night was finished. More than an incredible / amazing wedding planner, we now consider Deanna to be our friend - and our day wouldn’t have been as special had it not been for her steady and guiding hand. Thank you, Deanna, for all you did for us on the most incredible day of our lives!

She is so caring, honest, dedicated, understanding and seriously a jack of all trades in the wedding industry. I gave her pictures and spoke through some of my ideas and she came up with everything so perfectly. The wedding ran SO smoothly, it was seriously perfect - nothing I would have changed or altered. There was not a single detail that was overlooked or done "wrong." My family can be a little crazy and she dealt with all the craziness so patiently and efficiently. Whatever I asked of her, she provided and she did not disappoint. I was able to enjoy the whole day and night with my husband and bridal party while Deanna took care of literally everything else. I spent a lot of time following up with her, staying on top of things that were under her purview, and thinking of details and logistics that she should have anticipated.
Deanna frequently seemed overwhelmed, disorganized, and spread too thin. I also received a lot of feedback from our wedding party and family members that she was very unfriendly and unhelpful during our wedding day.
A major pain point from working with her is the way in which she handled our marriage license. Deanna assured us that she would be responsible for overseeing the process of having everyone (our officiant and witnesses) sign the marriage license and that she would drop it in the mail on the Monday after our wedding. Our assumption was that this occurred. However, I received a blindsiding call from the LA Registrar Office a few days ago wherein I learned that the license had been filled out incorrectly and was therefore going to be nullified. I then learned, after speaking with both Deanna and our officiant, that the officiant did not sign the license on our wedding day as we had been led to believe. It turns out that Deanna ended up then mailing the license to our officiant (who lives in on the East Coast) and he ultimately received it over a week after our wedding. He signed it (incorrectly) without the guidance or supervision that we had been told Deanna was providing for this process. Long story short, the officiant mailed back the erroneous marriage license back and six weeks after our wedding, my husband and I have just learned that we're not legally married and now have a huge logistical mess to sort through.
At the end of the day, we trusted that Deanna was managing the signing and submittal of our marriage license as she said she would, but it was grossly mishandled. I understand that mistakes happen, but what I cannot abide is the fact that my husband and I weren't told about any of this. Deanna took this on as her responsibility, and if anything deviated from what she told us would occur (everyone signing the license and it being submitted on the Monday after our wedding), we should have been notified. Instead, we learned six weeks after our wedding what actually happened and are heartbroken to discover that we're not technically married and have a lot of hurdles to jump through to fix this mess. When I spoke with Deanna about the situation, she was long in excuses, extremely defensive, blamed everything on the officiant, and was not accountable or apologetic for the part she played in this debacle.
Due to our experiences with her, I would not recommend hiring her.

he responded to my emails so quickly and always had an answer to whatever I asked. She drove out to meet my husband and I to make it convienent for us and she was always such a joy to be around. She has a great connection and relationship to so many vendors which helped my choosing of the vendors so much. She would send me a list of great vendors and I would look them up and decide which ones I wanted to meet. Deanna would then set up an appointment and handle all the business side of it, which as a bride, made it 100 times easier on me! Unfortunately my husband and I were involved in the Las Vegas shooting which you can imagine set me back in my wedding planning. Deanna was so amazing and took the reins to continue to plan and get things done while I needed some time. She made our wedding planning process seamless and enjoyable when it can definitely get stressful at times. Using Deanna was the best decision we made and couldn’t have imagined our wedding without her. Not only did we receive amazing wedding support and planning but we gained a friend for life. Not only is Deanna lovely to deal with in person and over the phone, she is detail oriented, hardworking and makes sure the job gets done. Whenever we felt stressed during planning, Deanna calmed us down and reminded us to be excited. A surprisingly easy thing to forget! She was calm and collected unlike a lot of other wedding planners who end up stressing the bride and groom out. and I started to plan our wedding ourselves, with the help of a friend of a friend (who fancies herself a wedding planner, but isn't very experienced).
With only a few months to go before our big day, we realized we desperately need the help of an experienced professional. We had a few of the details set, but were lost on others. Deanna customized a package for us and our needs (some other planners we met with, were very regimented about their packages). She also gave us our word she would be there at our rehearsal, which many others would not. This was a big deal to us! One planner said she would send "an" assistant to the rehearsal, but couldn't even promise it would be the same one who would be at our wedding. Deanna was there personally, to walk us through every step.
Deanna jumped right in with schedules and priorities, to get us on track. She had lists of vendor referrals based on her extensive experience. She worked with our venue's coordinator to make sure everything went smoothly, and the coordinator comment to us how detailed and thorough Deanna's timeline was. She even met my MOH and me at the flower market downtown to look at flowers, because I didn't know the names of what I liked and didn't like.
She had decorative items we could use to save money, and presented us with ideas about details we hadn't considered, while always respecting our vision (or helping us find it when it got blurry...)
Towards the end, we met her assistant Catherine, who was brought up to speed on everything. Deanna and Catherine worked in seamless harmony throughout our wedding day, to make it perfect for us, our families, and our guests. They were on-site from the first delivery (chairs, I believe), to the final break-down, and even took some items home with her, and brought them to us later the next day.

This was the most important and one of the best decisions that we made. Deanna was always available for us. When we first hired Deanna, my daughter was living out of state. ting Deanna, it was set. She would be my wedding coordinator. I even went for the "Month-of" package. Her personality is great! She's calm, so easy to work with, beyond nice, responsible and professional, and always willing to help with anything! I was pretty hands on but she was there any time I needed her, always checked in with me to make sure everything was ok, and always responded quickly to any question I had or anytime I went to her for suggestions/advice. She was more than happy to go with me to any appointments too. She was organized and made sure all the vendors knew what they were doing, where they were going, when to be where, and all those details that would've driven me crazy. The day of my wedding...well, it couldn't have gone smoother! If there were any glitches, I didn't know about it! All I had to worry about was making sure I enjoyed every minute of my wedding. Deanna handled everything else going on. She knew exactly what I wanted my wedding to be and how I wanted everything to look. I added a lot of personal touches to my venue, and everything was placed exactly how I wanted. I can't emphasize enough how wonderful Deanna was, and how grateful I am for everything she did. And on top of being such a great planner, she's a great person too. I've gotten to know her over the whole planning process and even after, and I felt like she was of a friend than a person I hired. I loved her, and my family loved her too. So stop searching and just hire her already!! You won't regret it for a minute!

"Day Of" coordinator. We are so glad we did! While my daughter and I planned the details of her wedding, Deanna was there to do all the things on the day of the wedding that allowed us to just relax and enjoy the day! She went above and beyond what most would consider "Day Of" duties, we actually met with her 3 times to discuss the timetable and all the details of the day. Our meetings never felt rushed, she was very generous with her time. She got all of our vendor contracts signed and made sure everyone was where they were supposed to be on the day of.
