Where do I begin! Chris is by far the most friendliest, understanding and patient photographer !! My husband and I used Chris for our engagement photos and wedding. Not only did Chris respond to ALL my questions from the beginning but he even went out of the way to help me find a second photographer and a videographer for me at such a reasonable price. The day of the wedding, Chris and his team were on time and extremely pleasant and happy to work with!! They honestly felt like they were part of the family. The amount of times Chris went out of the way to get a perfect shot could not even be counted on both hands haha! I truly feel like Chris made an uncomfortable moment or moments tolerable (I hate having my photo take LOL) ! Chris is wonderful to work with! He is a great planner and organizer when it comes to preparing you for your event, but he also knows how to go with the flow. He was amazing on the day of our wedding, and made myself and my family feel comfortable in front of the camera. The pictures are absolutely stunning! He also took family portraits for my family last summer and that experience was also flawless!

Amazing photographers!! They were the perfect mix of responsive to what we wanted, creative, fun, and calm on an otherwise busy day. We loved working with them and would definitely recommend! We were also pleasantly surprised by their quick turnaround! Within a day or two of the wedding we had some pictures to share with family and friends. We could not be happier with all of the work that Chris Devlin did for us. We planned our wedding within just shy of a four month timeframe, which truly simplified the process of vendor decisions and led us straight to our perfect match. With the research we had done, we enjoyed that Devlin Photography seemed not to be about all of the bells and whistles that companies sometimes advertise. Instead, Chris is the main photographer and also the person who answered the phone and all of our questions. He met us with our dog for a cozy cup of coffee in town, and we felt at ease right away. This is the same feeling he exuded on our wedding day. With a calm and even presence about him, he completely blended into the buzzing house that morning and everything to follow, capturing the coolest moments. He worked with a second photographer throughout the day, who was excellent as well. It was important to us to spend more time with our guests than separately taking photographs; he helped us to achieve this while still ending up with a host of gorgeous pictures from which to choose. Chris was amazing to work with! Planning a wedding in the midst of Covid was not easy, but he made us feel at ease both in planning and during our events. We did our engagement shoot and our wedding with Chris as our photographer, and he made everything fun and laid back while getting great shots. When we ran into weather issues, Chris was nothing but positive, encouraging, and upbeat. He even took the time to call me a few times prior to the wedding day to check on me and make sure I was okay as the forecast took a turn for the worse. We LOVED working with Chris and Devlin Photography. He photographed my cousin's wedding and I loved the photos so it was a no brainer to ask Chris to photograph our wedding. He took our engagement photos and was very flexible, accommodating, and enthusiastic with all of our creative ideas. I have always loved looking through my friends wedding photos after their weddings and getting to relive the fun again and again! That's why it was so important for my husband and I to choose the best photographer for our wedding! Chris Devlin was hands down THE BEST! My husband and I are shy and awkward, but Chris did an amazing job at helping us to feel comfortable in front of the camera! Me and bridesmaids were laughing the entire time that he was photographing us getting ready, which really helped with my pre-wedding nerves! Chris did a fantastic job photographing by son’s wedding in September. His professionalism, creativity, calm demeanor and sense of humor certainly put everyone at ease, and the photo’s show it! He spent the entire day with us, starting with the last minute preparations, the girls getting ready, then the boys (in the wine cellar), the stunning “first look” photos were exceptional; followed of course by the ceremony (we had to have two, one private and one for the guests); then the exceptional reception – followed by the late night festivities - Chris captured them all! His energy, creativity and suggestions were amazing! There are so many great shots from this wedding we cannot possibly narrow them down to the best! Our venue was a challenge; a private home on a very sloping lot with views of the CT River. Cocktail reception on the main level while the guests arrived, followed by the ceremony on the mid-level (some of the best shots where from Chris on the roof for a unique perspective!) followed by a third level up the hill for the super fun reception and evening fun. Every aspect was photographed with a beautiful eye to perfection. We made a great decision when hiring Chris and encourage you to do the same!

We had a location wedding years ago and Chris not only captured every moment of the big day but the ones leading up to and following the wedding too! There wasn't a photo opp missed! He even prepared a video for everyone to enjoy watching at the reception back home! His experience is top notch and the unique photo opportunities and timing of example, the perfect sunset shots, is inspiring! Highly recommend him for not only weddings but your future baby's pictures and yes, it happens fast, their senior portraits as well! Thanks for the memories, Chris, truly the best!!!

One of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning was choosing to hire Chris. He was amazing during the months leading up to our wedding, answering every question that I had and helping to figure out the timeline. He also made sure everything ran smoothly and efficiently on the day of the wedding, while reminding me to enjoy myself. My husband also can't stop talking about the second photographer, Eric, and what a great time the boys had with him. As far as the pictures go, they are all beautiful. Within less than 24 hours after the wedding, Chris posted several beautiful pictures from the wedding, and then 2 weeks later I got the rest of them. Everything was super efficient, and I couldn't be more pleased with how everything turned out. I am beyond grateful that we had Chris and Eric there to capture the memories that we will cherish forever.

Chris was amazing to work with! He had great ideas for beautiful first look photos that I would never have dreamed of. He was very helpful and met with us about a month before the wedding day to plan out the timeline of our day and brainstorm ideas. Chris is everything you want for your photographer on your wedding day; very punctual, very calm, great sense of humor, knew how/where to get the best photos, great with other vendors, super accommodating to our schedule and delivered a quick turn around with pictures! From our first meeting we knew he was the right fit and booked him and his second photographer Erik.  Chris and Erik were constantly taking photos even when we weren’t posing for them. They were visible, yet invisible, we couldn’t believe how many beautiful pictures they captured!  Chris delivered a “sneak peek” of photos the next day on Facebook to share, and shortly thereafter a slideshow and gallery, and finally we will be receiving the digital copy of the pictures soon!  We are so impressed with how beautiful our pictures came out. Overall we were extremely pleased with Chris.  He truly made our wedding day special and ensured that we will have those memories for many years to come.

We were extremely lucky to have Chris and the second photographer Eric take photos for us on our wedding day. Chris was fun to work with but more importantly he was serious about get the best photos. His dedication and passion for photography revealed itself in the prep work he did to scope out the area around our ceremony to ensure memorable photos and to make the best use of our time on the day of the wedding. He was easy to work with from start to finish with a relative quick turn-around to deliver initial photos on Facebook, a slideshow soon after, watermarked digital photos to share with friends and family on his website, and finally the digital copy of the photos within two months after our wedding. He deserves our highest recommendations.

Chris was on time, professional and creative. He put us and our entire wedding party at ease and had us smiling the whole time. He was one of the best wedding decisions that Jim and I made!

Chris is absolutely incredible to work with! We are still overwhelmed (in a super positive way) with so many beautiful photos from our day. From the first time I spoke to him over the phone, I knew he was the right fit. Not only is he talented and creative, he is also is super detail oriented, loves to be prepared, laid back but will go to the end of the earth to get you want, has great sense of humor, and is a constant professional. We actually booked him after meeting him for the first time. We really loved his work ethics and his dedication to his work. He and Erik came out to New Haven 6 months before the wedding to scope out potential places on Yale campus to shoot pictures. This was back in March, when Chris still recovering post ankle surgery and was on crutches, but he didn't want to postpone the trip and we walked close to an hour around Yale Campus. Talk about dedication! (Of course, his ankle is now completely healed.) While many of the other photographers that we had initially looked into had a 8 hour time limit for the day, Chris and Erik were with us for the whole entire day. Chris started the day taking pictures of me and my girls getting ready, of the dresses, and all the little details. Erik went off with my husband and his groomsmen for their photos. The two were constantly taking pictures even when we weren't posing for them. They were there documenting the day's big events and the little details. We gotten first look pictures, portraits of just us, with the bridal party, with family and friends, of the ceremony, of us partying and having fun with our guests at the reception. They didn't miss a thing! We also gotten some very cool unique pictures with fisheye lens that Erik was off shooting with, while Chris where taking the same shots with regular lens. Chris is also super timely with his work! He sent us a few select pictures the next day after the wedding so we can share on social media and completed the slide show and had a picture gallery online ready 4 weeks after the wedding. Our family can't stop praising him how fast he is and how beautiful the pictures are! Chris has tons of experience and works well with other vendors. He actually gave us recommendations for our DJ, who we loved as well. It definitely helpful that I ran our day's timeline with Chris beforehand and estimated how much time things were going to take when we did our walk through months prior. Everything was smooth sailing. We gotten to enjoy our day and now have lots of beautiful pictures for a lifetime. I can't emphasize enough how vital Chris was on our wedding day. There is no better photographer to work with and you can not be in better hands than with Chris!

We decided to choose Chris based off a recommendation from a good friend without researching any other photographers. This couldn't have been a better choice! From the beginning, Chris was extremely accommodating and helpful in arranging both our engagement and wedding pictures. He suggested a perfect location for our engagement shoot. My wife and I were laid back in our approach to the photos and didn't have too many special requests for our wedding. We trusted Chris and the results were amazing. He captured every moment of our wedding day without us, for the most part, realizing he was there. One of the best aspects was Chris' availability. There was no time limit that we had to adhere to, Chris had blocked off the entire day for us. This meant showing up early to capture the bride and her sisters getting ready all the way up until the send off post the reception. During this time Chris was constantly taking pictures of us, our guests, the setup and the venues. He was especially easy to work with when it came to taking posed photos. His casual approach allowed us to be relaxed and he conveyed instructions in an easy to follow manner. Chris fit into our schedule and not the other way around. He was able to take all the shots we wanted while still allowing us the time to enjoy our cocktail hour. Chris was also very responsive to any questions or special requests that we made. His speed with getting us some photos within 2 days was great as we were dying to see some of the images. The slideshow that he created is something that I could watch on loop endlessly! Overall we could not have asked for a better experience with Chris and he truly made our wedding day special and ensured that we will have those memories for many years to come.

Chris was great to work with. From the first meeting to the actual wedding, Chris is personable and easy going. Having never photographed a wedding before at Mystic Aquarium, I was impressed he took the time to actually go to the aquarium before the wedding and check out his options for shots. We were extremely happy to work with Chris. We found him to be easygoing and personable. Both of us are shy about having our pictures taken. Chris used his sense of humor to help us relax and feel confident in front of the camera. Chris approached our photo sessions with a good combination of planning and flexibility. For our engagement session, he shot our photos at a location that was familiar to him. He had some specific locations in mind for shots. The same was true for our wedding session - he knew the venue and had some specific places where he wanted to get shots of us. At the same time, he wasn't too rigid about it. If he liked the way the light looked, or if he saw a shot he liked, he would get it. Lastly, he was timely in sending our photos back to us. All in all, we were highly satisfied with his customer service and the quality of his work. So if you're looking for a photographer, do yourself a favor and meet with him. You'll be glad you did!

Chris was so wonderful to work with from the beginning. He gave us great advice and guidance from our first meeting as we began our planning process. He was a calming presence the entire wedding day while also going along with a fun vibe we wanted on our special day. He captured amazing photos without even realizing he was nearby snapping away both in church and reception. Our bridal party was amazed how smoothly our formal photos went. From the moment I met Chris at a bridal fair, we got along great. He is very approachable and excited about all the ways he can make your day great. Leading up to the day, he made things very easy for us, and didn't make us do a million things for him. Our location has a ridiculous amount of places for great pictures, and picking which ones to use overwhelmed me, so Chris took care of it all. On the day of he was perfect. Friendly and caring but also invisible. There were many pictures he took that I don't even remotely remember him being nearby. It may surprise you what an integral part of your day the will photographer play. He is there for every special moment, intimately involved in the logistics and timing, and his product is about the only thing you'll have to look back at once the whirlwind is over. Chris was like my rock--calm, organized, funny. He was able to match his personality to the spirit of the day and my bridal party's ridiculous sense of humor. He cloned himself, as promised, working his magic to get shots of two simultaneous moments. He had the eye and spontaneous quick thinking to capture precious, unplanned little moments. And he had the demeanor to keep my nerves in check before the ceremony. Oh, and the photos are beautiful!

I am so happy I went with Devlin Photography for my wedding! The photos are absolutely beautiful and I have some many to choose from. He captured all of the big important moments and all of the little details. When you hire Chris, he is there to photograph all day. Many other photographers I met with had an 8-hour package and then you could add on more time. My ceremony was in the early afternoon with the reception later in the evening, so I needed someone for the entire day. It was great to know that no matter how long it took, Chris could capture it all. I would also recommend requesting a second photographer. I am happy that we did. There is so much going on and the day goes by so fast, so it is great to have another person taking photos to remember the day.

My Mom, my husband Sean and I went to are very first bridal expo two years prior to our wedding to see what options were available. Multiple vendors immediately suggested Chris and that he was the best to work with. From the moment we met Chris we instantly felt comfortable with him, and you could tell he took the time to listen to what we were looking for. Chris Devlin is both a great guy and a great photographer. He does not limit you with an exact time limit. He is there to capture to the moments and he does a great job. We asked for a few special shots and he made them happen AND made them awesome. The groups shots were so fun. He went ahead of time to scope out unique places to capture a few artistic shots in addition to the traditional shots throughout the day. He makes a slide show, and this is great since we did not go with a videographer. It was a wonderful way to capture the day. We just received the photos digitally and they are so beautiful. We went to a wedding expo and multiple vendors pointed us in his direction telling us he is the best around. As soon as we met him, we knew they were right. Chris is incredible, creative, and so much fun to work with! His personality is so easy going and he made us feel so at ease during our engagement photos and the wedding. He met with us multiple times before the wedding to make sure our day was perfect. I was a very unorganized bride and he made sure our wedding was perfect and kept us on track. I am constantly getting compliments how beautiful our pictures are and how they fit our personalities perfectly. Any couple would be lucky to have Chris as their photographer.

Simply stated, Chris was a pleasure to work with, from the day we met him, throughout the process of wedding planning, during our big day, and after when we viewed our wedding photos. Chris is a talented, experienced photographer, but what made him even more special to us was how kind he was and how much time he spent getting to know us. In fact, we felt so comfortable with Chris after our engagement session that we went out right after to see him play bass in his jazz band! Now that our wedding is over, we understand how critical it was to have an excellent photographer because our day seemed to fly by and we couldn't see and experience all that we wanted to. Chris was an amazing photographer from our first meeting with him until the actual day of our wedding! He has a fantastic demeanor, is very friendly, funny and laid back and trust me, that personality will help so much on your day because your nerves will be so crazy! On top of his great personality the actual pictures he took were all stunning, he did a great job and took SO many photos which is so nice! Chris was the photographer for my daughters wedding on July 25th 2015. I am a wedding caterer and I get the opportunity to work with and alongside many photographers. I highly recommend Chris to all my clients and he was the only choice for my daughters special day. Chris met with my daughter multiple times to discuss what was important to her, and he even went with her to the ceremony and reception site prior to the wedding so they could create a plan together.
