My now-husband made the mistake of reading the ceremony draft for the first time in public and immediately started to tear-up! Our officiant was Laura Eppler. We couldn’t have asked for anything else! We would begin constant and consistent communication with Laura Eppler on/around Monday, July 11th, 2022. An exchange of ideas was almost instantaneous. We had ≈ 430 days to come up with what was us. Our own love story – unlike anyone else’s. By Friday, September 29th, 2022, depositing ½ the amount owed we had in our email a Couple’s Questionnaire. Within it was eighteen open-ended questions. Questions which couldn’t be only answered yes/no. These questions carefully crafted in advance by Laura Eppler – and our answers – were to serve as the backbone of a 25–30-minute speech delivered at the altar. Fully Personalized Wedding Fee ≈ $975 Travel ≈ $125 1. How and when did you meet? What was your first date like? What did you first think about your partner? 2. What are some things you enjoy doing together? What is a typical weekend like? Are your interests and personalities very similar, or do they balance each other out? 3. Delivered also on Friday, September 29th, 2022, were three additional emails. Like the other one, they too had attachments helping each of us prepare. • Ring Exchange Preludes • Vow Options • Special Ceremony Additions • Wedding Readings By February 2023 we had well in advance of our wedding, an outline. A 1st edition which wouldn’t only include our love but laid out our own assignments and the assignments of others involved. Groomsmen, Bridesmaids, Parents, etc. We would continue communicating through email – preferred both by us and by Laura – editing what we felt could and couldn’t be embellished. The 1st edition prepared in advance of any edits was a product needing not much. Two to three weeks in advance of our wedding, we would rehearse with our officiant. Laura Eppler scheduled an evening appointment (zoom) gracious in allowing us as much time as need be to finalize our address. At our venue, we would meet Laura Eppler about an hour in advance in our dressing rooms. Our Officiant worked seamlessly with our Event Coordinator, Entertainment, Videographer, and Photographer. Our day would’ve been less special without Laura Eppler as our officiant. As we would the evening of our wedding rummage through the envelopes provided by everyone in attendance, one envelope larger than any others was provided by our officiant. In the enlarged envelope was the Marriage Certificate signed by our officiant. Laura Eppler also as promised returned the (Duplicate) Certificate to the Marriage License Bureau. We were married! Thank You Laura For Everything! Two spaces between the end of each sentence and the beginning of each additional. ;)

That proved to be very helpful for mastering our handfasting knot-tying! It was wonderful to hear our 'love story' come to life through her words. ial meeting, my husband and I knew Laura was the officiant for us. We connected very well. She then took all the little details and created a personalized ceremony just for us. She took the time to get to know us and our relationship, and also gave us flexibility in what we wanted or didn’t want in the ceremony. She made us feel comfortable at the altar on the day of the wedding, and prepared us beforehand for what we could expect. From a complete stranger to someone who was able to beautifully portray us as a couple, our guests kept asking us if we had known her a long time. Anyone who is looking for a great celebrant for their big day, Laura is the woman for you!

Atheists and from different cultures. We interviewed a few people before deciding on Laura because she seemed easy to talk to and not at all pushy. She wrote something that captured important details from our relationship. Laura gave us a lot of creative control over different aspects of the ceremony and even went along with some quirkier requests to incorporate Dax and Worf’s wedding ceremony from Star Trek into our own. Additionally, my husband is Chinese so we wanted to include a kowtow ceremony to respect his heritage. Laura seamlessly threaded everything together so all the different parts fit without awkwardness. For our personal vows, she provided feedback throughout and helped us write something meaningful for each other. We opted to not have her at the rehearsal so I was nervous about the ceremony, having not met her in person but she was just as kind and wonderful in person as she was in our zoom chats. Our ceremony had a technical malfunction where the microphone died but Laura simply proceeded and spoke louder. Everyone was still able to hear her, despite having to continue without amplification outdoors. Afterwards, my guests told me they found her warm and welcoming. One guest specifically said he falls asleep during ceremonies but stayed awake for ours because found Laura captivating and easy to follow.

After the call she sent us so many amazing resources with different options for readings and wording for our vows, etc. Within this information were different ideas for the ceremony which we loved. We chose to have a ring warming ceremony where our parents and wedding party all passed and held our rings and warmed them with their well wishes for us as a couple. She also sent over a questionnaire that my husband and I answered separately. She used our answers to create such a beautiful ceremony script. She had us all in tears. Irene was very responsive over email when we had questions and was flexible as we decided on tweaks and edits. A couple of months before the wedding our close friends (both in our wedding parties) gifted us a shot ski with our last name written on it. We asked Irene if we could incorporate taking a “Unity shot” from it into our ceremony, and she immediately got to work! She gave a beautiful background on the shot ski and our favorite liquor and what memories were tied to it for us. She also gave a shout out to our friends who gifted it to us which was so special. After the ceremony before Irene left for the day she delivered a printed and bound booklet of our ceremony script with a sweet handwritten note. It was such a thoughtful touch. We loved working with Irene and are beyond pleased with the ceremony she delivered. We would recommend her a million times over!

We did several rounds of editing and we were able to be as involved in the process as we wanted. Most importantly, we felt like her delivery on the day was great.
