We received a quote and paid the initial deposit for a very simple order: 8 corsages, 8-10 boutonnieres, and 2 floral sprays for the church some 6 months before our wedding day. (We had no bouquets, no table arrangements - overall an EASY order... for a professional florist.)
The months passed and we began to worry as we had not heard from Dutch Flowers. Four weeks out from our wedding, we called Dutch Flowers but did not get a call back. Lucky for us, a friend knows the owner and did some investigation: we learned that the employee we worked with no longer works there and the owner had NO IDEA we had an order pending or a deposit paid.
Well, we set up a meeting with the owner ASAP, reviewing our needs, showing her our receipt for the deposit and she told us she'd be ready to meet our order.
The next day, she submitted a "new" estimate for the order that was DOUBLE what the original quote was...DOUBLE...a month before our wedding.
When I told her that we would have never put a deposit down for such an expensive quote (for a VERY small order, mind you) she did not budge. She simply refused to honor the original quote provided by HER employee.
In order to not waste the deposit, we removed the sprays from the order and just supplied our families with the C's and B's as originally planned.
While they were pretty, the entire experience there was unprofessional, stressful, and completely absurd. The flowers were nice but the business ethics, customer service response, and lack of professionalism was too much to overcome.
I DO NOT recommend them.
