We were looking for scratch made cake with flavor (emphasis on flavor not just beautiful) for our wedding day. After coming in and trying cupcakes with varying flavors and combinations we knew picking Edible Art for our wedding day was a must! Planning was seamless, the cake was beautiful AND delicious. No need to keep a layer frozen for a year as we get a mini cake made on our first anniversary. Thank you all for delivering the cake of our dreams. Definitely gained new customers. We will continue to use for future life moments and everything in between.
OMG the best wedding cake I have ever had!! Booking our wedding cake with Edible Art was the easiest and best decision we made!! The tasting box is carefully selected and provides such a great selection. The cake itself was so moist and flavorful. As for the design, they did an amazing job!! I sent them an idea and they carefully crafted my vision into such a beautiful, romantic and timeless cake! In addition to that, the cakes are so reasonably priced and easily affordable if you are on a tight budget. I cannot wait to get our anniversary cake next year. I highly recommend getting your wedding cake from Edible Art!!
My wedding cake was not only beautiful, it was delicious! My family and friends were calling me the day after the wedding asking if I had any cake leftover. Every slice was gone!
Any questions?
We used Edible Art for our wedding and we were thrilled with the result. We had a specific design in mind that involved custom molds, and they took it and knocked it out of the park. Also, it tasted great!
So happy we went with this vendor! I ordered a small 2 tiered cake for cutting as well to go with the tradition of freezing the top part for the 1st anniversary; we got cupcakes for most of the guests. Both the cake and cupcakes so beautifully decorated! They were so helpful and communicative throughout the process and I wanted to ensure we were happy with everything. I am a bit dramatic but I almost cried when I saw the set up of the cake and cupcakes because they were set up and decorated exactly how I wanted! The cake and cupcakes were so good! Everyone at the wedding commented on how delicious they were and how it was such a good idea to get cupcakes for variety.
We had a delicious confetti pound cake, semi naked cake for our wedding. It was just what we pictured and was even more yummy! Everyone loved this simple but beautiful cake!
My new husband and I recently worked with Mindy and the Edible Art team to create our dream wedding cake. From the beginning, their team was so helpful in bringing our unique design to life. We chose Edible Art in part due to their convenient location to our reception venue and also due to their longstanding reputation in the area for wedding cakes. We chose a chocolate and vanilla marble cake with buttercream filling and fondant icing (due to the structure and design). While originally nervous about the fondant for a wedding cake, we were happily surprised at the freshness and flavor. All of our guests raved over how much they loved our cake!
While we were given the option to save the top tier of our cake for our first anniversary, the bakery provides a fresh one for free to their wedding couples. We also love that we can stop into their storefront when we are in town to have a piece and reminisce on our big day whenever we'd like! We couldn't be happier with the service we received and cannot wait to order our next cake from Edible Art!
We got our groom's cake from Edible Art, and it was incredible! I never actually met them in person and just sent them a couple of pictures of what I was looking for and wanted certain details from both, and they brought it to life perfectly! I asked for a cake that looked like a record player, and it came out so good that our guests didn't even realize it was a cake at first. I couldn't have been more impressed!
Our cake turned out beautiful and delicious. Vanilla rum filling on one layer and lemon on the other. Both were perfect but everyone raved about how good the lemon layer was.
Edible Art was fantastic!! The staff were so wonderful to work with; they were quick to respond to emails and were very accommodating during a generous tasting meeting. When we were finalizing our flavors several months later, they even offered to prepare a personalized box of samples for us to pick up to help with our final decisions. We went with the lemon and almond pound cakes--highly recommend! Our wedding cake looked beautiful and tasted delicious. We're already looking forward to our anniversary cake!
Edible Arts are awesome. My wife and I simply enjoyed our cake. The flavors are to die for. If you ever stop by try their almond almoreto flavored products. They made our wedding cake using it and with a not nut option. I have to give them 5 stars. All of their delectable treats are wonderful.
Our cake turned out exactly how we had pictured it and we were so happy we went with Edible Art. Todd and his team were awesome to work with and very helpful throughout the entire process.
Edible Art was extremely easy to work with. We fell in love with the sweet potato cake during the tasting, and it was a big hit during the wedding. We had a small cake and four flavors of cupcakes - all delicious!!
Todd and his team at Edible Art did an amazing job on a surprise groom's cake and wedding cake a few weeks ago. The groom's cake (Pittsburgh-themed) was just as I requested and looked too good to eat! The cakes here are just amazing--they don't taste like your average crappy wedding cake. Good thing they are nearby as this will be my go-to place for cake. :)
Todd and his team were amazing!! They were so helpful, professional and all our delicious treats tasted amazing. We have a lemon almond pound cake (10 inch), lemonade cupcakes with a raspberry filling and parfaits. We only had 12 cupcakes left! We had a plated dinner, so didn’t have plates at peoples place settings, and wanted to fill the space. To add a little bit of our personality and wedding colors in, we had customized cookies - half had a script “T” on them and the other half had our wedding date on them. They were a cream color and had our wine color as the lettering. Our guests are still raving about how great the desserts were and how much they loved the custom cookies! Highly recommend working with Todd and his team!
So amazing!! Edible Art made us a gluten free lemon cake filled with raspberry jam. It was SO beautiful and one of the most delicious cakes we've ever had. Todd was wonderful in helping us pick a gluten free flavor that would be safe for me. There were so many great options, but we definitely feel like we picked the best for us. And our guests RAVED over it! Such a great choice in cakes! Highly recommend!
As a Raleigh native I have enjoyed Edible Art cakes for different occasions for as long as I can remember. When it came to choosing a place to get our wedding cake they were my first choice and I was definitely not disappointed! My mother and I had a lovely tasting with Melinda. She was so sweet and helpful in working with us choose all of the details for the cake. The cake was beautiful and so delicious. Multiple guests commented on how great the cake was. Many even said they typically do not even like wedding cake and they thought this one was amazing. Thank you Edible Art!
Edible Art was so fantastic to work with. Todd was extremely accommodating and responsive during the planning process. We were indecisive about out cake design and he was so helpful and patient with us and it turned out perfectly. We decided to do cupcakes for our guests and a small cutting cake for us and everything was SO delicious. Our guests were (and still are) raving about how good the cupcakes were (we chose S'mores, Caramel Apple, and Vanilla varieties). Luckily we had some left over after the wedding so we were able to enjoy them for a few days longer! Highly recommend working with Edible Art!
We wanted an alternative to the traditional wedding cake. We were turned down by everyone, until we found Edible Art. Todd Mozingo and his team were awesome during our tasting. Todd provided professional input and guidance. I would chose Edible Art over all the others!
Thank You Todd and the Edible Art Team!
Todd and Edible Art did such an amazing job on our wedding cake. We provided them with a few pictures of what we wanted and they made it so unique and our own. It was a pleasure to work closely with Todd to decide our cake flavors and design. We won't go anywhere else for our cake needs!
I originally choose to order my wedding cake through Edible Art because they are a partner of NC State. I am so glad I went with them for more reasons than my collegiate loyalty, though!
Todd and his staff was so great to work with and really helped make my long-distance wedding planning seamless. I had a visit planned on days they typically don't come into the bakery, and he made an exception for me so I could do my cake tasting which was such a fun (and delicious) experience! All of the flavors were fantastic and we ultimately went with a strawberry puree and red velvet two-tiered cake and ordered another vanilla cake.
The guests seemed to really enjoy their dessert and were fighting to try all of the flavors. For our one year anniversary, we can't wait to get back to Raleigh to visit their bakery for our anniversary piece.
Thanks for everything, Edible Art!
Edible Art did a phenomenal job on our wedding. We had a split wedding with the reception at a later date. They created both cakes and both were superb. The tasting appointment was well organized and Todd walked us through everything, making the process very enjoyable. They were even able to accommodate a few changes without complaint. My partner and I could not have been happier with the result. Many guests at our reception said it was the best wedding cake they have tasted. Edible Art's imaginative flavor pallet blew the attendees away. Thank you for a wonderful job.
The service was great, the people fantastic, and the cake was absolutely delicious. My only gripe was that our cake design didn't come out as planned (despite several drawings and our contributions to decorative elements) and we were informed last minute that fondant had to be used after signing the contract (despite us specifically stating *several* times that we didn't want fondant). All-in-all, they are a great bakery.
SO, we decided to get married and planned a small ceremony in one week!! I wasn't planning on getting a wedding cake since it was such a last minute decision but my mother talked me into it. So glad she did!!! Our small, two tiered cake was absolutely delicious!! The folks at Edible Art were also able to do this with only 4 DAYS notice!! Amazing!! We chose a chocolate cake with a chocolate mousse filling for the bottom tier and a almond cake with an amaretto nut filling for the top tier, all covered with buttercream. I found a beautiful, simple design from their own gallery. We picked up the cake after the wedding ceremony and took it to our celebration that night. All of our friends and family raved about how delicious it was. We will definitely be going back to buy cupcakes when we get a sweet tooth!!
Edible Art made a Groom's cake for our rehearsal dinner and our wedding cake. Both cakes were amazing and extremely delicious! My husband and I were a little disappointed that we only got one bite of our wedding cake, but we ended up with all the extra slices from the Groom's cake so we couldn't complain too much! We had 3 different flavors for the wedding cake (one for each tier), and everybody we talked to had nothing but the best to say about the cake! We went with the buttercream icing rather than fondant because of taste preferences, and we're really glad we did. The cake looked and tasted amazing and we couldn't have been happier. Edible Art was a little pricey, but the cake was incredible (seriously the best we've ever tasted) we are happy with our decision to go with them. If anybody in the area is looking for a cake decorator - wedding, birthday, showers, etc - we highly recommend Edible Art! Thank you for making our day delicious!
Wedding cakes are not cheap and we really wanted somewhere with a store-front for added peace of mind. We tried TONS of cake and it baffles me that other bakeries in the area can charge as much as or more than Edible Art, which is probably one of the oldest, most reputable bakeries in town. We LOVED our cake. It was delicious and beautiful! In fact, were still eating it! Edible Art is really willing to work with you to come up with the right flavor combinations and design for your individual tastes. Within the wedding cake world, I was very surprised at how reasonable their prices are.
Edible Art made our wedding cake. It was absolutely stunning and it tasted amazing! I was so disappointed that my husband and I only got one bite of the cake at our wedding, but everyone we have spoken to gave rave reviews! We had 4 different flavors (one for each layer), and they were all awesome! We had fondant ribbon done around the bottom of each of our layers, and because I have seen fondant ribbon done very poorly before, I made it very clear that I wanted the lines to be very straight as the icing was ivory and the fondant was dark blue. They put in my file that I was "high expectations" about the fondant, which meant that they would pay extra attention to making sure it was perfect. And it was!!! I could not be more happy with the flavor or appearance of our cake! Edible Art was expensive, but the cake was incredible we are happy with our choice to go with them!
I loved my custom bridal shower cake! Since we had a semi-elopment, destination wedding, we did not have a wedding cake. But the good people at Edible Art treated me just the same, provide us with a private tasting, and helped us create a beautiful tropical-themed Hawaiian wedding cake for my bridal shower/pre-wedding reception.
The cost was very reasonable, and the lemon cake with raspberry filling and buttercream icing was the best. Everyone loved it, and it was in keeping with the latest cake trends for flavors. The only disappointing fact was that my pink flowers turned out red… The bakery manager took care of my problem in a flash and sent me a gift certificate for my next purchase. Perhaps we will get our anniversary cake at Edible Art!
Our cake turned out exactly how we pictured it and it was so good! They had us come in for a tasting and consultation to pick out flavors. We were given a plate with about 12 different slices of cake to choose from. On the verge of a sugar coma, we made our decision. Their cake is so moist and rich- kind of like pound cake. After the wedding I was so upset that my husband and I only got the bite we fed each other when we cut the cake- we had way too much going on at the wedding! We'll definitely have to come back for an anniversary cake :)
Here is a copy and paste of the review I posted on their page.
Thank you for the "OUTSTANDING" wedding cake.Working with Edible Art of Raleigh was a joy. The staff were very accommodating, receptive and provided a wealth of knowledge. We received so many compliments on the look, textures and taste of the cake. When a Caribbean family compliments a coconut cake that was not made in the Caribbean, you can rest assure that it was made by a true artisan. Thank you for your expertise~
I knew right away I wanted cupcakes at the reception.....so did my husband! We wanted a bakery that not only have yummy goodies but had a personal touch. Edible Art had SO many options and really worked with you if you wanted a certain look to even you budget. Our guest have not stopped talking about them and now when they come to Raleigh to visit, they are making a stop to get some cupcakes!
I used edible art for my aug 25 wedding and the cake not only looked beautiful but the caked tasted really good. They made my day so special
Top of the line cakes that not only look great but taste great as well!!
I worked here for 2 years so of course my cakes had to come from here! I got a wedding cake and grooms cake for a great price and everyone LOVES the cake. You will never have homemade poundcake in such amazing flavors with rich creamy buttercream like this! It travels well too since I drove it myself to Asheville (4 hours away). I definitely recommend it!!! Melinda is an awesome cake decorator!!!
Our cake was DELICIOUS and beautiful! Exactly as we discussed and delivered ON TIME!!! We LOVE Edible Art and will go back in the future!
Overall cake was very tasty. Cake was beautiful-only deviated from the actual picture that I showed the artist slightly. The artist gave the cake its own personality.
Edible Art provided my wedding cake and it was absolutely fantastic! They have a great selection of wonderful cake designs and flavors and are of great assistance when selecting what cake is right for you.
We loved working with Edible Art. Sampling was relaxed and informative. We had such great help planning the cake. It was beautiful AND delicious, and it arrived in plenty of time to be decorated with fresh flowers. Working with the bakery was a delightful experience. The cake was truly a work of art. We wish we could have eaten even more of it...
The cake was close but not exactly what I asked for. They charged me $200 for a small two tier cake with silver accents and forgot to put half of the silver accents which i paid extra for. For the product I received the price was too high in my opinion. In the end my guests preferred the texture of the Sams club Sheet cake I ordered as a reserve over Edible Arts'.
I used Edible Art in Charlotte and loved them! I had cupcakes instead of regular cake and they looked fantastic. The cake was amazing, the price was good and the guests loved them.
I sent my mom to try the flavors, as I live outside of Raleigh and couldn't make it to try them out myself. I told her what I wanted based on the online menu, and sent her with a picture of exactly what I wanted my cake to look like. It looked better than the picture and the cake tasted incredible. It was moist and the perfect density. We had almond with amaretto filling and lemon with raspberry, all with buttercream icing. I can't wait for our 1 year anniversary so I can finally try the lemon/raspberry layer!
Everyone said it was the best tasting cake they have ever had. It was also beautiful and looked just like I wanted it to.
Its the best cake I have ever had. It looked just like I had imagined. They took everything I said and made it happen!
I loved the flavour of my wedding cupcakes and small wedding cake. FANTASTIC.;They weren't easy to get on the phone - I was arranging my wedding in Charlotte from Vancouver, BC, and the most difficult part was getting the cake taken care of. Also, the 6' wedding cake that I asked them to 'be creative, and surprise me' with was totally boring and unoriginal. It tasted good, but aesthetically unpleasing.
