Edward Anne Estate at Bavaria Downs

The Edward Anne Estate is an absolutely breathtaking venue. After touring many options, this one truly felt like it was pulled straight out of a fairytale storybook, and that was exactly the vibe we wanted for our wedding. The beauty of the venue is undeniable, and on the day of our wedding, it looked amazing. That said, the overall experience came with a few bumps along the way, mostly due to the venue being owned by a corporation. Edward Anne Estate operates as an all-in-one venue, which sounds great in theory, since they provide a list of vendors and services so you don’t have to search for them yourself. However, the execution of this concept left a bit to be desired. For example, when reviewing the vendor list, I requested contact information for a few vendors to ask questions and ensure they were the right fit. Unfortunately, I was told I could only get that information after we booked, which didn’t feel ideal when making such important decisions. Also, opting out of their preferred caterer came with steep fees, which felt limiting. One of the more frustrating aspects was the communication throughout the planning process. I found myself having to repeat requests several times, and despite providing photos and clear instructions, small but important details were missed. For instance, we had planned to have lanterns lining the aisle and at our Chuppah, but those were not set up as discussed. I am still pretty sad about this detail being missed as I was very excited about it. Additionally, the party favors were put out late into the reception, so many of our guests left without receiving them, which was disappointing. Even with these hiccups, the day of our wedding was truly wonderful. The staff were sweet and accommodating, and the venue itself looked picture-perfect. It really is a stunning place to host a wedding, and the atmosphere it creates is unmatched. However, the communication and organizational issues left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. With better vendor coordination and attention to detail, this venue would easily be a 5-star experience.

I had my wedding here within the last couple weeks. First off, what a beautiful location! I was absolutely in love with the building and space as soon as I visited it the first time. It was basically my dream venue. The staff were so helpful! Not only did they provide us with vendors (as part of the package we used) that were prompt, helpful, kind, and patient, but the management staff we worked with were helpful and accommodating. And the cake from D'Amicos was *delicious*! I know I am supposed to save the cake topper, but we've already begun eating it because it's so good. I would highly recommend working with this property to anybody looking for a fairytale mansion house for their wedding.

Wedding day was a dream. Edward Anne Estate is the perfect destination wedding without leaving Minnesota. Everyone kept commenting on how breathtaking the venue and landscape was. Day of staff was phenomenal, i felt catered to and taken care of - really didn't have to worry about anything on the big day!

Edward Anne Estate exceeded my expectations on my wedding day. I felt so calm and confident leading up to the day because the staff was so amazing from start to finish. Ann Grant was fabulous to work with for the whole planning process and Leann and Sarah did an amazing job being day- of-coordinators. The staff was so helpful during the whole day of my wedding and made the whole day stress free. I wish I could go back to my wedding day already because I truly had the perfect day because of Edward Anne Estate and their staff! All of my guests had the best time and I cannot recommend this venue enough.

Our New Years wedding was simply perfect. The venue staff ensured the day went off without a hitch and we couldn't have asked for more. Such a beautiful space and highly recommend to those looking for a larger venue!!!!

Our wedding at The Edward Anne Estate was amazing! We were hoping for an outdoor ceremony but the indoor space felt so cozy and welcoming despite the awful weather outside. It was absolutely beautiful. The staff at Bavaria Downs is phenomenal and they were so helpful with planning and helping to organize everything. They really make the process super easy. Highly recommend!!

We wanted to let you know the number of people who have said to me the staff and everyone they encountered at the venue could not have been any nicer and accommodating! My bridesmaids adored Hannah (venue coordinator). She made our wedding day absolutely fantastic and unforgettable! I appreciated everything running so smoothly and we were always on time. Great communication and vendors. Originally we were apprehensive about having vendors assigned to us ( we booked an all inclusive package), but I am so glad that we had great vendors. The photographer, DJ florist and catering were all wonderful. I received many compliments on the food. A beautiful venue, and what was even better was that planning was so simple.

I cannot say this enough, the staff at Edward Anne Estate made our wedding day feel like a dream! From our initial tour, we knew this was going to be where we wanted to get married. Hannah, the site director, is amazing and offered help whenever we needed it! Did I mention that this venue is beautiful?! It was the perfect place for all 162 guests we had. There was more than enough room for everyone to move around without feeling cramped. The ceremony space outside is a literal dream. And the day off coordination included is a plus!! I truly felt like a princess in a castle. If you are looking for a venue that has plenty of space but is still elegant, this is the place for you!

Everything from planning, the rehearsal, the many emails I sent and the day-off was handled with such professionalism and care. The team at Bavaria Downs it took notch! It’s definitely expensive but we don’t regret anything about our perfect day. The getting ready rooms are the best I’ve ever seen! The whole venue is absolutely gorgeous!

Bavaria Downs is absolutely worth the money. The staff hold your hand through the entire planning process and they take care of SO much behind the scenes for you to make sure you have a stress-free and fun day. All you truly need to worry about is showing up with your dress! The staff are so friendly and helpful, the venue is absolutely gorgeous, and the food (D'Amico) is to die for. I truly could not be any happier with my overall experience or recommend Bavaria enough!!

My husband and I had the very best day celebrating our wedding at Edward Anne Estate at Bavaria Downs and are so thankful to Hannah, Allie and the whole team for their continued support leading up to, and throughout, our wedding day. The Edward Anne Estate at Bavaria Downs was everything we could have wanted in a wedding venue and more. When we saw the photos of the estate online we knew it would be beautiful but when we toured it the first time and met the the people and saw everything first hand we knew it was the place for us. The staff is amazing - from the beginning they are hands on with their couples and provide so many resources for vendors and general questions. They provide a day of coordinator as well which was really helpful leading up to and on the day of the wedding. On our wedding day we had so many family members comment on how smoothly the Bavaria staff ran the day - they were so competent and it was evident throughout the whole day and evening. At the end of the night we really did feel like everything had gone perfectly and a large part of that was due to Bavaria Downs staff and their organization.

We loved having our wedding at Bavaria Downs. After 2 years of postponements we finally celebrated our long awaited magical day in June 2022. Bavaria was great to work with to postpone our wedding twice and we were finally able to have the celebration we dreamed of. The venue is great and has everything on property that you could think of. One of our favorite parts was the bridal suites. They are amazing and so spacious to get ready for your big day with your bridal party. Highly recommend!

Our entire experience at Bavaria Downs was amazing from start to finish! While the venue is on the pricer side, we loved everything that came with that including indoor and outdoor ceremony options, a beautiful and functional bridal suite as well as a great grooms suite, a day-of coordinator, tables/chairs/decorations, valet and more. The staff we worked with both leading up to and on the day of the wedding was extremely helpful and friendly and our two day-of coordinators helped the day go off without an issues. My only two complaints would be that the ballroom got extremely warm on a July night and would love some more air flow into that space and the tent leading from the ballroom back to the main house and the bathrooms could be a little bit more regal to match the overall feel of the space. But all in all, we would highly recommend Bavaria to anyone looking for an elegant, all-inclusive venue.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Bavaria Downs & their staff. They made our day PERFECT & so smooth! You really pay for what you get and it was worth every penny. Bavaria is the most stunning and elegant venue! They were SO easy to work with from the days leading up to the big day and the day off. They are flexible & very helpful! What a wonderful place to have a wedding! Bavaria Downs is STUNNING! It is truly unlike any wedding venues in the state and blew us away when we first saw it. Overall we had such a great day, however there are some things that need to be improved. Since it is owned by a corporation, there are so many unnecessary rules that come along with this venue. When we were planning, it seemed like every other answer to questions was a "no". Clearly there has been previous weddings that have limited flexibility of subsequent weddings. Additionally, for the amount of money they charge, they need to reinvest in the property. The walkway from the ballroom to the estate is still just a tent-quite the eye sore. You would think for ~$20,000 for one day they could find the budget to make this a permanent structure. Bathrooms were a long walk from the ballroom which forced guests to wait in a line. There was a broken window on the property in the middle of the cocktail space. Communication on the morning of was lacking. It would have been nice to have the same coordinator that worked with us all throughout the wedding day be there to help out. I would definitely recommend hiring an additional planner if you are having a large wedding because the planner provided did not do much on the day of and most responsibility fell on the planner I hired. Finally, we were so disappointed to find out that there was a new parking lot built right in front of the estate. Clearly this was new, as the grass around the estate was damaged. Overall this place was amazing! Besides the things I listed above, everything was wonderful. We had the best day ever and Bavaria is truly a fairytale come true. We would have our wedding there again in a heartbeat, but hope that our recommendations are taken to heart by the staff and corporation so other couples can have an even better experience!

We had an absolutely amazing petite wedding at Bavaria Downs - all thanks to our team, with a special shout out to Samantha and Hannah! We organised our petite wedding from Australia, so never got to see the venue in person until the day of, and it was breathtaking. All the services and vendors included with our petite wedding package - cake, photographer, florals, DJ - were fantastic and made the day happen seamlessly. I could not recommend the team at Barvaria Downs more highly, particularly if you are looking at having a petite/micro wedding!

Absolutely amazing. We LOVED our venue. Unfortunately it rained on the day of our wedding but the indoor ceremony option is still beautiful and I’m not sad about it one bit. They were able to quickly convert the ballroom from ceremony to reception hall. Everything went so smooth. We even used most of the decor items provided by Bavaria and they looked so classy. Everything about Bavaria is classy and romantic!

Bavaria Downs was so beautiful that all my guests was in awe when they walked in the estate. Nikita was so wonderful with our being wedding day coordinator. She made things so easy and we didn’t have to worry about anything. Hannah and her team were so wonderful with the planning, communication and they made sure that our day was as perfect as we pictured it. We were so happy with everything and appreciate everyone that was involved on making our day the most beautiful day we could ever ask for.

We had our wedding here a few weekends ago and the whole day was perfection! Bavaria did an awesome job communicating with us beforehand, letting us come see the venue a few times while planning, and allowing us to really be hands-off and enjoy the whole day. They are so kind and helpful and I have nothing but great things to say about the whole team. The venue speaks for itself. It is GORGEOUS!

This venue is absolutely gorgeous! When looking at other venues nothing compared. The way everything was laid out made the day flow so smoothly! Having the bridal and groom suites at the venue is a huge bonus and both are amazing!! My only recommendation is that if you are doing an outdoor ceremony, keep it mind what veil you choose as mine was very long and it just ended up getting completely twisted due to the wind. Besides that the day was absolutely perfect and I would definitely recommend this venue!

Our entire wedding experience was a dream come true thanks to the team at Bavaria Down's. The establishment was always in tip top shape every time we would visit. The vendors they use are exceptionally trained, skilled, friendly and polite. The talent is visible and you can be certain that they will take care of everything so that you can just relax and enjoy your day. Everything from the grounds to the furniture is naturally beautiful so not much else needs to be done when decorating. If I was to do it all over again I wouldn't change a thing! I am still in awe of how perfect everything was and have been told from many people that it was the best wedding and venue they have EVER been to. We recently had a petite wedding at Bavaria Downs and it was amazing! If you are searching for a stunning venue for an intimate ceremony, look no further. The vendors included in our petite wedding package were top of the line. The cake was exceptional! The bridal suite will blow your mind and is such a special space to get ready for your big day. All of our guests were extremely impressed and could not stop raving about the experience.

We absolutely LOVED having our wedding at Bavaria Downs! This venue is beyond amazing and the staff are wonderful to work with! We highly recommend having your wedding at Bavaria Downs. The only reason why we are giving it a 4 instead of a 5 is because there was some miscommunication that happened the day of our wedding. One of our vendors was to put a greenery backdrop up behind the head table but our coordinator directed them to set it up in front of the photobooth instead. By the time they were done setting up the backdrop the coordinator realized the mistake and had them take it down and set it up again in the right spot! Which I am so grateful for! The downfall was that because of this mistake, they refused to give us our security deposit back which was a reasonable amount of money. Also, at the end of the night we had a different coordinator who didn't know where things were supposed to go and made the clean up process more of a challenge and some things got misplaced. We absolutely loved having our wedding at Bavaria Downs but just wish there was more communication and organization for the day of the wedding.

What an incredible day at an incredible venue! From the moment we arrived in the morning, the day couldn't have gone more smoothly. The staff was patient, accommodating and had every detail lined up for us. We couldn't be happier having chosen Bavaria. A magical venue!! From the drive up, to walking into the estate, to the ceremony site, and the ballroom; everything at Bavaria is like your own little world! My guests were in aw on how amazing the venue was. Everything at this place is perfect! The landscaping grounds and the little details throughout the place, made everything so much more special. The Bavaria staff are genuine people! They ensure that your day goes smoothly and are just so nice!! Truly amazing people! By seeing this venue, you would know that it lies here in Minnesota. What a beautiful venue! Bavaria Downs worked seamlessly with us throughout the entire wedding process, allowing us access to the venue and working with our planners to help plan the big day. The outdoor ceremony site was absolutely gorgeous. The guests loved being able to hang out outside during cocktail hour while enjoying drinks at the gorgeous bar front inside. The reception site was easily transformed and the area for the sparkler send off was beautiful in photos. Even the surrounding elements made for beautiful photos throughout the day!

My daughter's wedding reception was held at Bavaria Downs on June 5th, 2021, originally planned for April 18th, 2020. From the moment we walked through the front door, we fell in love with it. Our wedding planner Melissa was incredible and worked with us to set up the timeline for the day and we felt very assured that the staff at Bavaria would make sure everything went smoothly and we could relax and enjoy the day. Because of Covid, the wedding was postponed and Melissa left Bavaria Downs. We were assigned a new planner, Hannah. We booked our photographer, videographer, DJ and florist through Bellagala. About three months out, we were informed that our photographer was not going to be able to work the wedding. We had to find another photographer. About a month out, my daughter checked our vendor contract and saw that the videographer we had chosen had left Bellagala and we didn't have a videographer. We had never been told. Luckily my daughter caught this or we would not have had a videographer. The day of the wedding, things went great except for a couple hiccups. I told Hannah when we arrived at 8:00a.m. that we were down a table and which one to remove. She did not relay that to the people setting up tables. We were two place setting short at our table. Not huge issues, just annoying. The real problems were at the end of the evening. At some point Hannah left and I was never informed about who was in charge. The bar was supposed to stop serving at 10:30. Did not happen. My daughter and son-in-law were supposed to depart into an awaiting car at 10:45. Did not happen. The DJ was supposed to announce that everyone should head out to send the couple off. When it became apparent to me that things were not winding down, I found a girl removing table decorations (staff was removing table decorations onto carts while the guests were still in the ballroom) and asked here why the bar was still serving, when the DJ was going to tell people to head out and if the car was there. She went to check on the car and said it wasn't there. She did not have the contact info for the driver. I had emailed and texted Hannah with that info and she never passed it along. So, I scrambled to find someone to drive the couple. It was all very stressful. I should not have been the one that made sure the bar stopped serving, the DJ got people out, and the couple had a car to get into. I was told that Bavaria staff would make sure all went smoothly. But, there was no-one in charge. I was told the bartenders would not serve people that were obviously intoxicated. They did. The bartenders were not supposed to serve shots. They did. And, one bartender told a guest "I take bribes if you want the whole bottle" (of wine). All in all, it was a bad ending to an otherwise beautiful day and that should not have been the case. I brought these issue to the Operations Director and Damico Senior Event Planner. I did not find their responses acceptable.

My husband and I were lucky enough to get married at Bavaria Downs last August where we had a small intimate wedding and then renew our vows and have a reception with all of our friends and family this past May and the whole experience was nothing short of perfect! Even while planning through these crazy times, the whole team at Bavaria was very accommodating, understanding and made sure that we were always happy and stress free! The venue is like no other and even being there over a handful of times with planning and the actually weddings, I want to go back all the time!! I would recommend anyone to book Bavaria Downs as their venue, you won't regret it :)

From start to finish Bavaria Downs is just the perfect place if your looking for a wedding (big or small!) They offer different options as for pricing, all your questions will be answered quickly and efficiently. The day of your wedding is pretty much all taken care of, you come in and they tell you where to go what to do, and what to do next. (You'll already have the schedule beforehand but they will still help you through it all) it's absolutely beautiful, and just overall perfect for everyone! Want an outdoor wedding? Percect for you. Our wedding at Bavaria Downs was nothing short of amazing! After cancelling our first scheduled wedding due to Covid and planning our “petite wedding” at Bavaria Downs in about short 6 weeks, everything still turned out perfect. The entire team at this venue is so quick to respond to questions and was so helpful throughout the planning process. The venue is absolutely gorgeous as well! I am so glad we got to spend our special day here and I would definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful experience, especially considering our unique circumstances. We had to cancel our original wedding planned to be Vermont. With 6 weeks to adapt our plans, we were so pleased to find Bavaria Downs. The staff worked as a team to provide us structure, support, flexibility, and an overall excitement and positive energy. They worked with us to recreate as much of our Vermont vision as possible. We really liked all the options Bavaria provided for us to easily book vendors both through their sister company Bellagala, and on our own. Our day at Bavaria was so very beautiful from start to finish! I am very happy with how things worked out. Due to Covid, we did a flip-flopped flow where we had the ceremony outside, followed by cocktail party and live band outdoors. Bavaria and D’Amico were flexible to help provide an outdoor bar, space to party, and multiple rounds of individually plated hors d'oeuvres. After 2 hours we transitioned inside to have dinner, speeches, dessert and a little more dancing. The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful throughout, and our wedding was lovely!

We are SO grateful for everyone on the Bavaria Downs team for all they did (throughout the planning process and on the big day) to make our wedding such a wonderful experience! The incredible venue and staff were such a huge part of our special day being full of extraordinary memories Jake and I will hold dear for the rest of our lives. From our first meeting last year, we knew we’d found our perfect place, but we had only a hint of how amazing the Bavaria Downs team would be as we put the pieces together. I can only imagine how stressful the planning (especially in these uncertain and ever-changing times) would’ve been without the kindness, expertise, unwavering support, and fantastic communication we received from everyone we worked with, which was SO greatly appreciated. Our guests were as in awe of the stunning venue as we’ve been, coming up to us and our parents throughout the event to gush about the house and grounds, and our wedding party was blown away by the next-level getting-ready spaces! Jake and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day at a lovelier place to celebrate our wedding with our family and friends.

WOW, I do not have words to describe how beautiful our wedding day was at Bavaria Downs! I truly haven't seen another venue like it that has blended modern elements with timeless elegance. Our guests could not get over exploring the grounds and house. My favorite elements were how flexible they were with various ceremony sites, the endless beautiful spaces to take pictures, and how organized the staff was. You won't regret hosting your wedding or event here!

Our wedding was on a chilly fall day and we LOVED the coziness that Bavaria Downs brought to us. What a wonderful location to get married! We had such a fantastic wedding day, the estate is absolutely beautiful. Best venue and staff we could've possibly had during such a stressful time! Our wedding turned out AMAZING and was exactly what we wanted, even after having to downsize and implement regulations due to Covid. Hannah and Moriah, two of the venue consultants, were so helpful leading up to our big day as far as making sure that everything fit our vision. They were very patient and kind through everything! Kerry, our day of coordinator, was on top of it! She made sure that we had everything we needed throughout the day, helped to quickly handle any little issues prior to the ceremony (i.e. I forgot a basket and flowers for my for girls, etc.), and kept everything perfectly on time! I was very impressed with all of the staff, and of course the venue is gorgeous!!! We fell in love with it as soon as we pulled into the driveway when touring venues over a year ago and no other venue we toured compared. Our guests were blown away by the beauty of the house and grounds, as well! They also expressed how safe they felt with all of the precautions that Bavaria took to keep everyone safe!... Our wedding day was everything we wanted and more thanks to Bavaria Downs!

Magical! Our wedding (regardless of covid) was a dream! From the staff to the venue, I couldn't have imaged a better place to get married. Helpful, efficient, attentive, I could go on and on. The venue itself was immaculate when we arrived and felt like a private sanctuary just for us and our loved ones to celebrate. We dealt with a lot of changes and restrictions with covid and even working through the alterations, the team at Bavaria really made all our worries go out the window! The venue is beyond beautiful. The staff were all exceptionally personal in their care to make our day how we wanted. Even though they do weddings all the time they worked hard so that my day was extremely special!

We have not yet had our wedding at Bavaria, but I wanted to leave a review now during the planning process because our experience thus far has just been so great! Everyone we have worked with at Bavaria has been amazing. Since we do not have a wedding planner, the expertise and advice the team at Bavaria has provided has relieved so much of our planning anxiety. Their response time has also been extremely impressive. We cannot wait for our big day and have no doubt this was the best venue choice for us!

Generally you write a review after having your event, however in this case I want to put the good word out there before we even have our wedding because I'm so impressed with Bavaria Downs! My fiance and I have postponed our wedding due to the Coronavirus. Melissa at Bavaria Downs has been an angel through it all- she has been quick to respond, kind as could be, and so hardworking. She has moved mountains for us to reschedule our wedding day- coordinated with Christie (our amazing catering coordinator), our videographer, photographer and DJ. One thing that stuck out to us about Bavaria Downs is that they take care of you- we could sense that from the day we toured it for the first time to today, when we're in the middle of this nightmare of postponing our wedding! Melissa has our back and we are beyond grateful for everything she and her staff have done to move our date with ease. I 100% recommend Bavaria Downs, and would a million times over!

My wife and I had a great experience at Bavaria Downs. We had three months to plan a wedding and the convenience of Bavaria Downs was essential since they handled the flowers, boutonnieres, and helped with the rehearsal. We had a January indoor ceremony which turned out great as they converted the ballroom for the reception during the cocktail hour. The tunnel from the estate to the ballroom or whatever they're called wasn't heated so it was cold in there but they worked it so no one was ever stuck standing in there. We had a pretty big guest list (200 people) and wedding party with a huge head table but there was more than enough room. The Damico food was really good and we were able to accommodate some family members who had dietary restrictions no problem. All the ladies had a great time getting ready upstairs and all the men enjoyed the man cave, I just wish we could have spent more time down there.

The staff & venue were exceptional in every way! From the first tour to the end of the wedding celebration they were professional, fun, helpful, attentive and even intuitive to all our hopes and dreams for the wedding! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day! Thank you Bavaria Downs Staff for going above and beyond!

Bavaria Downs was the most beautiful venue we ever laid our eyes on. From the time we toured and every tour after that, we couldn't stop thinking about Bavaria. We wanted to have large wedding parties, so the large and luxurious Grooms and Bridal Suites were a must-have. They kept our parties upstairs and downstairs and were so perfect. The music didn't work in the bridal suite the day of our wedding, though, so make sure it is working for your big day because that was a bummer! From the second we arrived at the venue, the Bavaria morning staff helped us carry all of our things up to the suites. They unpacked boxes and boxes of decorations and placed it exactly where I requested. I didn't have to hire any help for placing the signs, place cards, details, etc. The butler was an amazing addition to the day- he refilled our drinks, set out our food, and cleaned up after us all day. However, future brides, I will say that although the venue claims you will have full coordination on staff, I would recommend hiring a wedding planner. Bavaria told us we would have full day-of coordination, but there were many times when our coordinator would have her hands full and was not able to run our schedule on time. We were completely off-time for the first looks, family and bridal party photos, and the entire reception. Our videographers and photographers basically led our entire day except for the ceremony. The ceremony coordinator at Bavaria was wonderful and so helpful, though. Our reception was not properly coordinated, the late night coordinator was nowhere to be found and I had to handle most of the schedule and conflicts of the night. SO definitely hire your own planner that will have your back if you're having a large wedding here. Also- this venue has very strict rules on catering and drinks. If you want to bring your own food and drinks in, this is probably not the venue for you. We weren't even able to bring our own food for the little children (ring bearers) in the family because the venue coordinator would not let us eat anything else except for the food that was catered- which was very messy and not suited for children. Then, the cake and dessert was served to the guest tables first so none of our wedding parties or any of our families got a taste of the dessert. Not even one bite of cake! Make sure that you have a personal attendant or your own coordinator who makes sure the dessert is first served to the head tables. Besides that, all of our guests are still raving about what a gorgeous and regal venue Bavaria Downs was. A beautiful, stunning, destination venue!

Our wedding day was actual perfection. The Bavaria staff were kind and thorough - they were accommodating and helpful as we planned from halfway across the country, including allowing us a last-minute tour when we were in town for a tasting, they were transparent about pricing from the get-go which was a breath of fresh air and made making the decision to secure Bavaria as our venue easy, and friendly and calming in the days leading up to and the day of our wedding - helping my anxieties over what was left to do and what could go wrong. Despite having to go with a rain plan and host the ceremony in the ballroom, the day was perfect and went so smoothly I don't think anyone would have known it was plan B. We received endless compliments on the venue and the day. Melissa and Hannah especially are an absolute dream to work with, they're so genuine and thoughtful! We can't recommend Bavaria highly enough.

Being new to Minnesota my husband and I searched for venues for our wedding day for a whole year before deciding on a place. It took one walk around the then original estate (before any changes!) for us to know that Bavaria Downs was the perfect place for us. It’s absolutely breath taking and amazing and truly the best place for every girls fairy tale wedding to take place. Between the amazing staff and the all the amenities our day was perfect and flawless. As neither of us are from MN the majority of our guests had to travel and Bavaria Downs made their travels worth it which our guests and their experience was so important to us! We cannot say enough good things about Bavaria Downs and the staff! You will never regret choosing this venue for whatever event you need!

First seen on The Knot, my now husband and I went to simply just tour it for fun. From the moment the venue came into view, we both fell in love with its majestic appearance and remote location. Each room has a new form of beauty that allowed our guests (and us!) to feel like there were no walls separating us. It was simply magical. We had other venues lined up for touring the following few days and kept the appointments, but nothing could compare. Additionally, the staff that work here are incredible at what they do. During the planning process, the coordinator on site throughout your wedding's entirity and having a person to contact with any concerns or questions along the way. It was amazing and both my husband and I have used the word "flawless" and "perfect" many times since. The magic that becomes a part of your wedding day when having it here is indescribable. We have heard from numerous people - guests and wedding party members - how perfect everything was from the ceremony to the food, and how much they loved exploring the venue and admiring its beauty. We can't recommend Bavaria Downs enough.

Mark and I looked at several venues before driving down the winding, beautiful driveway of Bavaria Downs, which seemed to transport us out of Minneapolis and to a European countryside. From the outdoor ceremony space with its rolling hills to the luxurious bridal suite/supercool grooms den to the high ceilings in the spacious ballroom, it was unlike any venue we had visited. This place is MAGICAL. Working with Georgia + Melissa prior to the wedding gave us all the confidence that we were in good hands. They asked us questions that never would have crossed our minds and helped iron out every single detail. They also spent time to get to know us and made us feel like part of their family. From the moment we arrived, the whole day went flawlessly in large part due to their help coordinating with all of our vendors (and working exclusively with D’Amico). Nicole spread sparkles and joy in the morning and helped keep us on track. We were able to relax and enjoy the day knowing everyone was so capable and experienced. As the night progressed, Nicole was on top of everything and made us feel so special. Our guests were blown away with this venue and we were so proud to be able to host so many out-of-towners in this beautiful area in Minnesota. Highly, highly recommend!!

From the moment my husband and I walked into Bavaria Downs, we knew it was the place where we wanted to celebrate our marriage. We toured it pre-construction and signed the contract before seeing the final project, and felt confident doing so because of the honesty and transparency of the staff! We worked mostly with Georgia Meyer as our planning coordinator, and we cannot say enough positive things about her! She always answered our questions quickly, and eased any worries about the aspects of the day that could possibly go wrong (my long list of "what if's"). She thought of logistics and details I would have never thought of or prepared for! Back to the venue itself, when we arrived in the morning our day-of coordinator Hannah was waiting to greet me at the door with carts to help us unload. She checked in with me all day long to make sure I was feeling okay and had everything I needed. When we got up to the bridal suite it was picture perfect. Bavaria Downs works exclusively works with D'Amico catering which is amazing because they work as a team, so everything flows so smoothly. When it came time for ceremony the Bavaria Downs team were even in contact with our transportation company and let us know some guests were still on the way, and asked us if we wanted to wait for the final guests to arrive. All evening long the Bavaria Downs staff greeted us with a smile and a "congratulations!" We felt like celebrities as they escorted us around when needed, and even gave my husband and I sneak peek of the ballroom during cocktail hour so we could see how beautifully they prepared it! If things didn't go as planned I had no idea because they took care of EVERYTHING without bothering us so we could just enjoy our day. The photos don't do this venue justice- we truly felt like we were living in our modern day fairytale. Weeks after our wedding we are still receiving compliments on how unique and beautiful our venue was. If you are considering this venue, just know it is worth every penny! Not only is it the mot beautiful venue in the twin cities, but more importantly the service you receive from the staff simply cannot be surpassed. I wish I could relive that day over and over again!

My husband and I could not have asked for a more unique or lovely wedding day. Our family and wedding party arrived on the Friday of our wedding to walk through the wedding rehearsal, so everyone knew exactly what to do and where to be on the big day (thanks to the Bavaria Downs Staff). As a Type-A Bride, I thought I had everything all planned and figured out, but I didn't have time to be the one to put everything for the reception together. The Bavaria Downs Staff put everything together and it looked absolutely flawless - I am so glad they had the expertise to put everything (head table, centerpieces, layout, DJ space, dance area, etc.) together because their vision, drive for perfection, and attention to detail made my reception look more elegant and more beautiful than I could have ever imagined or put together myself. The Bridal Suite and the Grooms "Den" are seriously the coolest rooms we have ever been in, and our wedding party couldn't get over how fun, pretty, and unique the experience was. My pictures are flawless. I literally didn't have to worry about ANYTHING or lift a finger on my wedding day because the 20+ staff members between Bavaria and D'Amico who took care of everything behind the scenes. I still, to this day, can't comprehend how much work they did for me, my husband, my family, and my guests. Best Part? The staff did it with smiles, excitement, and they literally felt like my cheerleaders throughout the whole day. You needed it? They had it. You asked? They didn't hesitate. I would highly recommend Bavaria Downs, D'Amico Catering, and their staff for any event, ceremony, or wedding reception. It was gorgeous and I day we will never forget. Sincerely, L&J
