I had the absolute best time finding my perfect wedding dress! Right from the start, I felt listened to and fully supported. I was encouraged to try on multiple dress types and was so thankful I got that opportunity to really nail down the perfect style and look for me. I went in with very few ideas and left with what I feel (and my mother agrees) is the PERFECT dress and veil. Ellie's bridal was very accommodating to my group, allowing my close friend to bring her newborn and toddler so she could be there to support me. Overall, I had an amazing time and am so happy with my experience!

An absolutely AMAZING experience!! It was my first time shopping for dresses and while I had a good idea of the style I wanted, the team at Ellie’s made it come to life. I didn’t think I would find my dress the first time shopping and just expected to help narrow down my style. But after trying on a handful of options, I narrowed it down and when my stylist put the veil on I just knew. I said “yes to the dress” at Ellie’s and I couldn’t have had a better experience. This is a MUST go to in the DMV area!!

From the moment I walked into Ellie's I had the best experience! Chelsea was so kind, patient, and helpful. I loved working with her throughout my wedding planning. She was so kind to me during my bridal appointment and she was super responsive during the alterations phase. I definitely recommend Ellie's, more specifically Chelsea! I recently went to two bridal shops in Old Town, Alexandria. I loved Ellie's and this is where I ended up finding my dress. I worked with Melinda and she was wonderful. She made me feel comfortable and guided me throughout the process. They also had a great selection of dresses and I'm happy with my experience! I would definitely recommend them. I also am an Alexandria, VA local and it's fantastic to support a local, small business!

I LOVE this place! Everything was perfect. I quickly and easily booked an appointment, received confirmation, and received a warm welcome upon arrival. Melinda pulled the perfect gowns. They had a gorgeous dress in my size ready to go off the rack (my original plan for a fast approaching elopement), but ultimately I went with a stunning dress that had all of the components I told them I liked (bringing inspo photos helped)! I had FUN trying them on instead of being stressed because I loved the staff, vibe, and could tell I was going to find what I wanted there. It is a little pricey, but you are getting a high quality, eclectic fantasy experience and wedding dress for your special day! Book with Ellie’s!

Chelsea was absolutely phenomenal at my sample sale shopping appointment! My wedding was in five months and she was spot-on in picking the right dress for me based on the inspiration board I sent her. The best part was that she herself does the alterations, so she could tell me the no-nonsense answer about what alterations could actually be done to the sample dresses. I definitely recommend coming here if you are on a budget/short timeline or just want to work with the absolute sweetest, funniest ray of sunshine you'll ever meet!

I had the best time working with Ellie! Her team was so friendly, kind and made me feel so welcome. I wasn't really sure what I wanted but they helped me narrow down my options. For such a small boutique in Alexandria, Ellie's has so much to offer! From shopping, to altering, to preserving my dress I utilized Ellie's services, and I was not disappointed. Ellie's was the first boutique I shopped at and the wide variety of stunning dresses was very impressive. The consultant that I worked with also allowed me to get into the dresses on my own for privacy, which I did not experience at any other bridal salon. The purchasing process was very easy. I came back a second time to try on my dream dress, and although they did not have the right color of the dress I selected in stock, they were able to order it for me. After purchasing, my dress took the 6-8 months that Ellie's estimated to arrive. I chose to utilize their in-house alterations. Chelsea is very kind and patient. She answered all of my questions and even allowed me to squeeze in an additional alternations appointment when I felt like I needed it. After my wedding, I also used Ellie's for wedding preservation services which took approximately 2 months and my dress looks absolutely beautiful in its preserved state. I took off one star because I felt that the alterations did not come out exactly as I was hoping. I wanted the top to be much more modest on the dress. Although Chelsea did pin on some additional pieces of fabric that I ordered with my dress, she took in the cups far too much, which made it far too snug on the day of my wedding. Ultimately, I still think the top still looked tasteful, but it was not exactly how I wanted it to look on my wedding day. Also, the bustle came apart so many times during my reception that my coordinator had to pin it in place. The alternations issues are ultimately why I am giving Ellie's 4 instead of 5 stars. All in all, I would highly recommend Ellie's Bridal Boutique to any bride who is looking for gorgeous, reasonably priced wedding gowns.

I had such a wonderful experience with Ellie's Bridal. They were punctual, very friendly, had an amazing variety of styles, and really listened to what I wanted. I never felt rushed or pressured into a decision, and every employee was helpful and kind. I wanted an overskirt as well which they had plenty of to choose from, and they helped me find a beautiful veil that perfectly matches my dress (plus a discount for buying the veil with the dress). Amazing experience that I would highly recommend to any bride.

All the staff at Ellie's were fantastic from helping me pick out my gown to making sure it fit perfectly. I haven't felt overwhelmed at all and almost wish I was going to get married a second time just so I could go dress shopping there again! Prices were reasonable and everybody was so supportive to make sure I have the perfect dress for my big day!

I made a last minute appointment at Ellie’s Bridal Boutique after doing at home try on dresses from an online website. Chelsea was wonderful and already had some dresses pulled for me before I arrived based on my Pinterest board I sent them. She was so nice and didn’t rush me as I tried on a good amount of dresses. I ultimately found my dress and she was able to make sure it would arrive on time. I knew from the website alone that I would like this place and I didn’t even make any other appointments at other boutiques. You won’t regret coming here! Such a great experience.

I came to Ellie's after going with my MOH to shop for her wedding. I loved the small vibe of the shop and the designer dresses that they held. I was able to look online and send a list of which dresses I wanted to see prior to my showing. By doing so, the first dress I tried on ended up being the dress I wore!

I had a wonderful experience here and highly recommend folks come to Ellie's for finding their gown. Isabelle helped me and was incredibly patient, kind, and thorough. She really listened to what I was looking for and the first dress she pulled ended up being the one I decided to buy. They have a very nice selection of gowns and are really open and attentive. It was a comfortable and fun atmosphere.

I had a really great experience at Ellie's! I visited on two separate days and worked with two consultants but my first made sure to check in with me and chat and say how glad she was that I'd come back! The staff are down to earth, quirky, and fun- the exact sort of place that makes me feel comfortable. They are all knowledgeable about the dresses and ready to explain any potential alterations that can be done to meet the customers' needs. The range of styles and price points in particular was a huge draw for me and my in-person experience did not disappoint. I went home with a wedding dress on my second visit, and I feel very confident in their in-house alterations team and I'm looking forward to the rest of our process.

Melinda was so personable and friendly! She asked me fun questions, not just about the dress, in order to get to know me better which I appreciated! The store is adorable with fun music and a photo wall and sign for when you say yes! I’m so happy to have gotten my dress here!

I had a great experience at Ellie’s! I had an idea of what I wanted in a dress but I was able to try on all different kinds in order to bring the idea to reality. I found my dress on my first appointment which I was not expecting to do, and everyone there was super nice and patient! They were very professional and welcoming throughout my whole appointment. I got a dress and two veils, and I was still under budget for a STUNNING dress and veil combination! I thought I would have to sacrifice the dress quality over the cost, but I truly did not at all. They have great options for everyone at all different price points. Overall, I highly recommend!

Ellie’s Bridal Boutique made finding my wedding dress easy and so much fun! My dress ended up being the second one that I had tried on. The stylist made me feel so special and beautiful. Ellie’s Bridal Boutique also made scheduling alterations and dress pick-ups so incredibly easy. They handled pretty much everything, so it was one less thing to worry about during the wedding planning process. I lived in Norfolk and Ellie’s Bridal Boutique was still incredibly accommodating with working with my schedule for me to drive up to Alexandria. I cannot recommend Ellie’s Bridal Boutique enough for selecting your dream wedding dress.

Staff were really nice and knowledgeable, and found the perfect dress for me! They have dresses of many styles for a wide range of budgets. Booking an appointment was convenient and the survey ahead of time really helped. Great sample sale if you want a dress off-the-rack for a good price.

Had a great experience at Ellies! They had a ton of dresses to try on and were able to order a specific pronovias dress for me that they did not have in stock. I bought my dress here and had them do the alterations. My dress had a lot of illusion material which they were able to carefully work with and ensure everything fit perfectly! Everyone was a pleasure to work with and they were always happy to see you!

Had an amazing experience here! I had a total of 3 visits, I found my dress on my first visit but wasn't ready to say yes. My consultant was super helpful in finding me dresses to try on at my first appointment. I was able to schedule a second appointment just to retry my favorite dress and they were great about letting me spend a lot of time in it trying to decide and not pressuring me. Then later that day they were able to squeeze me in for another quick try on after I was almost positive it was my dress and was able to say yes and order it that day. I appreciated that they were so flexible with me coming in twice the same day and that I never felt pressured to say yes. Can't recommend them enough!

One of my friends and my sister in law both got their dresses from Ellie's so I wanted to visit to see if I would be lucky enough to find my dress here too. I could not have had a more perfect experience. I rarely write reviews (and no I am NOT just saying that...I really never take the time to review anything), but my experience at Ellie's working with Chelsea was really wonderful. Chelsea was so patient and helpful. She listened to all of my feedback and she is the reason I walked out the same day I walked in with the most "me" dress out there. I really wanted to have that, "THIS IS IT" moment when I tried on my dress and I did before I even walked out of the dressing room to show my family. I brought my mom, sister, niece and mother in law with me, and my niece was having the time of her life. Chelsea was even sweet enough to let my niece try on a dress so she could also feel like a princess with me. It was a really special day. 10/10 recommend Ellie's.

From the very first appointment with my mom and mother-in-law, to deciding on a gown there days later, and then throughout several fittings, their staff was extremely communicative and helpful. The Ellie’s bridal team made me feel beautiful on the day of my wedding reception! I originally bought my dress in 2019, but our reception was delayed until Summer 2022 due to COVID. They were so helpful during a stressful time and made sure that I had my dress and knew how to keep it safe during that time. A huge shout out to Chelsea, the Alterations Manager, who helped my vision for my dress come to life! She reconstructed the neckline so that it would be more comfortable and fit the look I was going for. She did such an amazing job that it looked like it was always meant to be that way!

Ellie’s Bridal had a great selection of gowns and were within my budget! The staff were all very friendly and helpful (I worked with Christie and Meghan) and never made me feel like they were just trying to make a sale. Then, once I found the one, the alterations process was painless. Chelsea (who did my alterations) was so sweet and always made me feel beautiful and I always felt like I could trust her with my wedding dress. After my alterations my dress fit me perfectly and looks gorgeous in all of the pictures. I’m so happy that I bought my dress at Ellie’s and went with them for my alterations.

I had an absolutely amazing experience shopping for my wedding dress at Ellie's! I'll be getting married in a haunted mansion around Halloween, so I had a unique vision for my dress. In my pre-appointment survey, I wrote "I want to look like a Victorian ghost" thinking that no one would actually review my silly responses. However as soon as I walked in, my bridal consultant (her name was Skyy) knew exactly who I was and what I was looking for. She was so exciting to work with, very genuine and invested in helping bring my vision to life. I ended up with an absolutely perfect dress that I can't wait to get married in. Skyy was wonderful! This was the third boutique I visited, and she was the only vendor who took the time to explain how their appointments generally went, how I would be assisted in trying on dresses, etc., before really listening to what I was looking for. I think she only pulled three dresses before I found exactly what I had in mind. I wanted to make a few alterations to the dress, and she took the time to find some extra fabric and pin it in place so I could really see my vision come to life. Very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, no pressure to buy, and very professional.

Going to Ellie's Bridal Boutique was such a wonderful experience, and I found my dress! They had so many beautiful options that were reasonably priced, and Christie, who helped me during my appointment, was so kind and patient as I went through dress after dress. I had a larger party, with 5 people, but they were all able to be seated comfortably and had a great time.

It was my first time shopping and Meghan walked me through the entire process. I had a large group and know those can be hard with so many opinions but kept us on task. I gave her very vague ideas of what I wanted and she nailed them and vision perfectly! She made sure the dress I wanted I absolutely loved. Cannot recommend enough!

Ellie's is a NoVa mainstay for a good reason! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The showroom is approachable and the gowns have prices posted on the tags if you're concerned about your budget. Finding my dress and getting alterations done in-house was a great experience.

I had a wonderful experience at Ellie’s! Megan was so kind and listened to what I wanted. There was no pressure to try anything I didn’t want. Our wedding is in March so we are cutting it close. Megan picked designers that she knew had inventory and would be ready in time. If I picked a dress I liked, she double checked to make sure she could order it before I tried it on. I cannot say enough good things about Megan and Ellie’s!

I had the most wonderful experience at Ellie's Bridal. Although I intended to wear a family dress for my wedding, I still wanted to have the experience of trying on dresses. Looking at dresses with Skye (we only had a 1hr appointment, but she let us stay for 3 hrs!) was a highlight of planning my wedding. In the end, she found a spectacular dress for my reception, which let me get married in my family heirloom but still wear something later that fit my personality. It was perfect, and getting alterations done through them was a breeze as well. Even when their alterations department had a COVID outbreak two weeks before my wedding, they offered to stay open late for me the next week to finish my dress in time. Thank you Ellie's!

What a truly wonderful experience it was! It was my first time trying on dresses and my consultant, Meghan, was so helpful and was absolutely responsible for the great experience I had! I had a general idea of the dress I wanted, but Meghan was very good at picking dresses I thought I wanted, while also expanding picks to other dresses she thought I would love. She was so efficient getting me in and out of dresses so that I could see as many different options as possible. The dress I ended up choosing was one pulled by Meghan and was the last one I tried on in the dressing room. It was nothing like I thought I wanted, but it was perfect in every way! It shows just how talented the consultants are at Ellies Bridal that my dream dress was not something I thought I wanted at all! Would 5/5 recommend anyone for Ellie’s with a consultant of Meghan!

I did not get my wedding dress at Ellie's, but I did get all my alterations done there. I could not have been happier; my dress fit perfectly and the staff were very kind and accommodating to all questions and requests I had. highly reccomend!

This salon had an excellent selection of gorgeous wedding dresses and veils! The folks were friendly, patient, and very helpful. The dressing areas were bright, spacious, and laid out nicely so that different groups could have a semi dedicated space to admire the dresses being tried on by the bride. I said yes to my dress and also chose to do alterations here. I had quite a few alterations appointments since each time I tried on my dress, it fit differently. They took each change and executed quite well. I love how the dress looked on my wedding day! I also chose to do my wedding dress cleaning and preservation through the salon. I’m waiting to get the dress back so I don’t have feedback on that yet. I have a feeling I will be pleased :)

Chelsey helped me pick out my dream dress, I had come 2 times before and worked with someone else. When I called to come back and work with someone new they were very nice and let me. My first 2 times weren't bad but I left very stressed and upset. They were very kind and gave me the sample show price because I couldn't pick a dress. My first person was nice. They also sent me an email when she left because I worked with her which was thoughtful. When I called today and asked for a shipping date they gave it to me. I am taking my dress to Eygpt so I won't use the tailor. The store is big, there are lots of dresses which I like. I would come here again.

Skyy is awesome and made me feel SO confident as a more curvy bride and pointed me in the exact direction I wanted to go. She took my vision and completely brought it to life. I was nervous about finding a flattering dress and the first one I tried on I knew the appointment would go well! Ellie’s has such an awesome selection of styles and sizes and even the ones I didn’t really love I did feel pretty confident in. It was my first time wedding dress shopping and ended up getting a dress from them! Definitely, definitely recommend!

Finding my dress at Ellie's Bridal was such a great experience. I loved that we were able to search through the racks of dresses to pull out ones to try on since a lot of places don't allow you to do that. During the appointment, Jane was so fun to work with and we never felt rushed or pressured to make a decision quickly. The store has so many options so it was so easy to find my dream dress here! My consultant was racist. Plain and simple. She wouldn't speak to me, only to my friend. She disappeared multiple times while helping me. Another employee had to go find her for me. She wouldn't let me touch the dresses and kept calling me Kelly. When I asked her to write down the dresses I liked she said they do that. Good luck if you go here.

I bought my wedding dress at Ellie's in October 2021 for my August 2022 wedding. The stylist was accommodating and helpful and went above and beyond with creativity when I wasn't seeing what I thought I wanted. Chelsea with alterations helped me feel supported through the fittings, and everyone was easy to work with. I think my bustle was slightly lower than it should've been so I was still getting a bit stepped on during a busy dance floor. But I felt beautiful, got so many compliments, and the price point was better than other salons in the area (for the same dress!). Encourage you to shop here.

I purchased my dress from Ellie's Bridal Boutique. I had my alterations done here and even utilized them for my cleaning and preservation services. I’ll be honest my experience shopping for my wedding dress started off sad, disappointing, and extremely frustrating. That was until my bonus daughter suggested that I give Ellie’s Bridal a try. While the store is a small specialty boutique it’s beautiful and has a wide variety of dressed in different price points but what separates this pace apart from all the rest were three things 1. Jane 2. Alterations lady and 3. The quality and detail of the dresses. Jane took me under her wings and was my personal shopper. She is funny, sweet, kind personable, candid, honest (something every bride needs and wants), and such a pleasure and joy to shop with. Together her, my girlfriend Cherie and I picked the perfect dress for me. I had my Cinderella princess moment and achieved the look I wanted Elegant, Timeless and Classy.
