met with us in September for a July wedding. We were impressed by her experience, attention to detail, and previous work at our unique outdoor venue. Once we signed on, she gave us access to her extensive online wedding planning resources. The “Wedding Weekend Package” includes much more than the wedding weekend itself. Jessica sent us regular check in emails, information about previous weddings at our venue, vendor recommendations, and many very detailed lists (e.g., how much alcohol we would need). She connected us with her sister Kelly, who served as the bartender. Jessica was always quick to reply to emails. We met at the venue a month before the wedding to go over all the details. In the week leading up to the wedding, she coordinated all the vendors and people in the wedding party.
On the day of the wedding, Jessica was there with her partner Courtney and two additional workers. They handled all the logistical and labor duties efficiently, without getting in anyone’s way. These included assembling the centerpieces, setting up all the plates/cutlery/napkins, moving tables and chairs to switch from the ceremony set-up to the reception set-up, and many other small details that we probably weren’t even aware of. After everyone went home, they made sure that the grounds were cleaned up. What all of this meant was that we were able to enjoy a stress-free wedding day!

Jessica as a person manages to be both an organized, level-headed professional and a warm, caring person. She had already worked with our venue and rental company and her experience proved incredibly helpful. Having her in my corner helped me really just enjoy and be present on my wedding day, confident that she could handle any emergency.
Also, while their services are top-notch they were significantly cheaper then some other day-of planners we talked to. You more then get what you paid for with Epic Event Planning!

us in the right direction from the location we chose, catering, the DJ, photographers and the florist! Jessica is super organized and was there for me with any questions or last minute changes I had. She walked us and our wedding party through the rehearsal, and getting all of the groomsmen to listen was not an easy task! She also made our wedding day perfect! The only thing that went wrong was it rained so we couldn't get married outside under our beautifully decorated arbor. But we had two rain plans for that day and it ended up working our really well. I give Jessica 5 starts because she was always there when I had questions, needed advice or any changes that we had. She was so orgaized with her monthly "to do" lists that it kept me focused and not stressing over things I didn't need to get done yet. And she was there when I needed her the day of our wedding to make sure everything when smoothly! Adam and I wouldn't have had a perfect wedding without her!

s took nearly TWO years! And Jessica was there through it all! My husband and I met with a few other planners before meeting Jessica, and we knew it was a perfect fit after our first meeting. Unlike the other planners we had met, Jessica was welcoming, friendly, professional, and not at all pushy. She was also very sensitive to our budget. We had previously turned down a different planner who said she would be unwilling to plan our wedding if we had an under $30K budget. Jessica let us set our budget, and she gave us realistic expectations and helped us guide our decisions to get as close to our dream wedding based on the budget we decided on. Jessica is SUPER OCD organized in an insane way. We had a wedding timeline down to every last minuscule detail. I have a very busy work life, so I needed someone to take the reigns and let me know reminders of what decisions needed to be made, when deposits were due, etc. I would never have been able to have the wedding I wanted without Jessica. She always had EVERYTHING perfectly planned and organized, always communicated with me very quickly via email or text, and she was also the person to push me when I needed it if I was falling behind on making important decisions for the wedding. I'm also new to the Pittsburgh area, so it was nice to have someone with lots of connections and recommendations for local vendors to use. In terms of the style and decor of our wedding - Jessica was able to look at my random pinterest board and put together a beautiful look with the color scheme and style that I wanted. The price for her services is more than reasonable. Looking back at the two years of extensive planning, I think the charge for her services were a bit of a steal. It seemed expensive up front at the time, but now looking back, I realize the amount of work put in for all the planning vastly exceeded the price of the services in my opinion. Finally, Jessica is just a wonderful human being. She is caring and sweet, and I already miss her daily emails and texts now that our wedding is over. Oh, and she was even pregnant and had a baby a few months before our wedding. I'm pretty sure she was emailing me about wedding planning details only days after giving birth. Serious commitment there. Epic indeed.

She kept us on task with a detailed timelines, set up meetings, negotiated for prices that worked better for us and the list of how helpful she did goes on and on. Not to mention she is warm and calming. Answering any late night texts I had about name cards etc. Leading up to our wedding in June, she sensed our anxiety building and suggested we start meeting monthly. The day of the rehearsal dinner and actual wedding day she was there early with her assistant and kept everything running smoothly. I dealt with no snags and just hung out with my bridesmaids and got ready. She checked in periodically to let me know how things were going, vendors that were setting up etc. I have recommended her along the way and hands down still would recommend her to anyone considering a planner. I am pro planner, the stress factor and leg work alone is so worth it. Kourtney being all of those things on top of a organized, calm, experienced, warm, friendly person is an added bonus!! anned on just coordinating all my wedding planning myself. However, as the number of vendors was growing and I was spending a growing amount of time fielding emails, I felt like I was falling behind on keeping up with them all. At about 2 months from the wedding date, my (then) fiance and I decided we needed a hand.
When we started looking into it, we saw Epic Event Planning was consistently rated at 5-stars and was beloved by all. Compared with other event planners, their prices were also more reasonable and had more flexibility. When we contacted Jessica, even just speaking with her on the phone during that first meeting started to lift some of the stress. She was friendly, professional, and reassuring. When I told her about the obstacles I was facing, she clearly had tons of experience with those exact situations and was able to offer suggestions. After hanging up the phone with her, we had no second thoughts about hiring her immediately.
The "weekend of" package that Epic Event Planning offers is perfect for the couple that wants to do a lot of the planning themselves, but wants someone to take the reins toward the end. Starting about 2 months from the date, they start collecting all the information from you about your vendors, your venue, you vision for how the schedule will go. This was initially a fair amount of work, but was actually helpful in itself to consolidate all the information in one place. Once I had done this, Jessica reached out to all the vendors and established herself as a contact for them. She also helped put the vendors in contact with each other and facilitated conversations between them, with me cc'd in. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, I felt less and less stressed as Jessica handled almost all the behind the scenes coordination. She was great about offering suggestions and solutions when asked, but never forcing her opinion or making me feel like I was not in charge. She double and tripled checked all the tiny details. For example, I had forgotten that I never quiiiiite got back to the organist at the church about what song I would walk down the aisle to until Jessica reminded me. #winning
On the day of, she showed up first and left last. She kept us on track when it was time for the band to start but the photographer still wanted to take a few formal pictures at sunset. When we ran out of ice about 3 hours in, she ran out to the store and bought more. She made sure all the gifts and decorations made their way into our cars at the end of the night, and when we forgot the photobooth picture book anyway, she grabbed it and is mailing it to us. All of these things were handled smoothly and did not require me at all, letting me just enjoy the day! Several of the other vendors were so impressed by her that they asked for her information so they could recommend her to others of their clients.
Overall, Jessica was a top-notch coordinator and she really made the whole event run smoothly! 10/10 would hire her again and would recommend her to anyone that needs a little help keeping things together in the craziness of wedding planning!

Jessica worked extremely hard to find us excellent vendors, beautiful décor ideas and she coordinated everything with a level of detail and precision that is extraordinary. She made a meticulously planned timeline of the entire wedding weekend and distributed it to all members of the wedding party. She designed the set up of the space and ensured the vendors executed it day-of with no hiccups. Not only did Jessica, Kourtney and their awesome intern Danielle set up the space - the stayed at the end of the night to help break down and ensured all of our items were carefully stored. Jessica's monthly to-do lists and timelines were tremendously helpful in keeping everything on track and on budget. She broke down the process so I never felt overwhelmed and was so relaxed the day of the wedding. They best part about Jessica is her amazing spirit and attitude. We decided hiring a wedding planner would be helpful to cut down on stress and assist us with the planning ( I am an only child in a very small family so I felt a little overwhelmed with planning). We found EEP online and after reading reviews we decided to set up a meeting. Jessica met with us and we instantly knew she would be a joy to work with. She answered emails promptly as well as managed meetings with all vendors in a timely manor. I never felt pressured to make decisions that I wasn't comfortable with and she was always straight forward with me when it came to staying within budget. Her organization and attention to detail truly impressed us. The day of our wedding was absolutely perfect! Kourtney was also present and was just as attentive and detail oriented as Jessica. If anything went wrong I honestly wouldn't have known about it because these two ladies handled EVERYTHING! Our families and friends could not say enough good things about our special day. When I first began planning my wedding, I wasn't sold on the idea of a wedding planner but after meeting Jessica and getting to know her, I realized that she isn't there to "plan your wedding for you" she is an extension of you. She helped SO much with vendor suggestions and negotiation, coming up with creative ideas to better my vision, budgeting, and then on the day of, making sure I didn't worry about a single thing. I felt like I had a whole team of people behind me keeping things on track and making sure the experience was one I would never forget.
Whether you are looking for someone to help you plan through the entire process or day of coordination, I would highly recommend EEP for the job. I truly could not have done it without them.

I also interviewed a few planners from local companies with, perhaps, better brand recognition, but I found them to be off-putting and very much trying to push (expensive) ideas onto me, versus Jessica, who acted like a thought-partner and was execution-focused the entire time. She is a good listener, patient, and I never felt like she was judging me for my decisions.
She was extremely responsive and very detail-oriented, and I trusted her advice throughout the process. While she was only officially our weekend coordinator (I wanted to manage the vision and planning), she went far beyond her responsibilities, and we worked together for months in advance of the wedding.
One of her main goals was to ensure that we didn't have to worry about anything on the weekend of our wedding, and for the most part, we really didn't. Her and her team did an A+ job of turning our venue in a beautiful space (and exceeded our visions!), and while I thought I could do and manage most of this stuff on my own at the beginning of the process, I absolutely CANNOT imagine having done this without her, let alone, by myself.

got engaged, I was in DC and my now husband was living in Florida. Planning a wedding in Pittsburgh seemed like a logistical nightmare, so we decided that hiring someone to take on all the planning was a must. I interviewed several planners in the Pittsburgh area, and Kourtney and Jessica were by far the most professional, but they also seemed like they would be a lot of fun to work with. My impression was right - either Kourtney or Jessica take on the role of "point person" for an event to avoid communication issues, and we had the pleasure of working with Kourtney throughout the planning process. Jessica was still involved, and both were with us throughout all the events of our weekend. While working with Kourtney for the 9 months leading up to the wedding, I felt like she was a good friend who just happened to also be planning my wedding. We chose the full wedding planning package offered by Epic Event Planning, and no matter how big or small my request was Kourtney handled it. It was great to know that we had someone who truly had our backs and best interest when dealing with vendors. I think one of the biggest compliments to Kourtney is the sheer number of people who told me and/or my husband in the days leading up to, including the day of, the wedding how calm we both seemed. The amount of stress I felt over the wedding was almost zero - so I really felt like I got to enjoy the day instead of worrying about details/timelines/events/vendors/coordination/payments/and the list goes on. a manager on site, but after talking to Jessica, I decided to go for it. That was the best decision I ever made and the best money I spent on my wedding. Jessica was amazing from Day 1. She was so helpful in getting everything organized, including vendors, schedule, and decoration details, and managed to stay on top of everything despite lots of emails and questions from me. She also thought of a lot of things that I never thought of or asked for - as an example, we hadn't decided on where to have an informal welcome reception yet. Without asking for anything, Jessica sent me an email with a rundown of some of the options near the guests' hotel and the pros/cons. On the day of, I was truly able to relax only because I knew Jessica was at the venue making sure everything was going smoothly. Our wedding was beautiful and went off without a hitch. Everything stayed on schedule and guests had a great time. My family and I have received so many compliments since then. I would recommend Jessica 100%! You will not regret it.

They were professional and organized while still being friendly. Throughout the planning, I received timely emails and reminders about what I needed to do on my end to make things go smoothly, like when to make payments to different vendors or when to contact the wedding party so they knew their responsibilities. They presented me with checklists and example emails for what to say to the DJ/band about my music choices and even put together detailed itineraries for the wedding party for the whole weekend so there was no question on where they needed to be and what they needed to bring. They contacted vendors for me, which cut down on the tedious details that would have otherwise stressed me out. During my wedding weekend, I even received praise from the groomsmen about how much they liked Jessica and Kourtney! During the rehearsal at the church, when there is usually confusion about where to stand or the wedding party is bored or distracted, Jessica and Kourtney kept everyone in line and knew exactly what to say. They kept it fun and light, while still making it go smoothly so that it got done and we could proceed to the rehearsal dinner. The day of my wedding, they made sure everyone knew what they needed to do, even me! They were on the spot with everything and even cleared up some mistakes by my vendors without bothering me with it on my big day. There were place cards that were not put out and a missing table. My guests were quickly escorted to other tables and comforted by Jessica and Kourtney. I found out they did this from my guests who complimented me on the kindness and quick action by these two. Even at the end of the night, once they had said their goodbyes and were officially 'off the clock', when I called frantic because I thought the bus was not coming back to retrieve the last of the guests from my reception to bring them to the hotel, Jessica called the bus company and ensured me that they would be there. Everyone likes to give their two cents to a newly engaged girl. The first, and usually only, thing that I tell a girl who is newly engaged is that the best decision I made when planning my wedding was having Epic Event Planning and Jessica and Kourtney be a part of my big day!

possible with. From our first meeting to the wedding day, Kourtney and Jessica made everything easy and enjoyable - it was like having two extra bridesmaids, not paid planners. It was great to be able to turn to them directly with ALL of our questions, comments, or concerns and not have to deal with all of the different vendors. Kourtney and Jessica were able to answer all of our questions quickly and truthfully, which was great for keeping us on our budget. They helped us to make choices about what we could afford and what we couldn't, while still achieving the elements we wanted. Kourtney and Jessica even helped to settle a dispute or two between my mom and I over dishes!
Epic Event Planning brought together the ideas that my husband and I had for a casual outdoor wedding and the ones my parents had for something much more elaborate. With their guidance it turned into something better than any of us could have hoped for. Kourtney and Jessica really proved how awesome they are by turning my parents back yard into a wedding for 175. They helped us get everything we asked for and a few things we didn't even know we needed (i.e. Porta-potties). As if all of that wasn't enough, their day of services would have been worth the whole price! They came on our wedding day and put everyone at ease. They kept the whole day on scheduled while making sure we were all relaxed and having fun. I will never forget how impressed my parents were when Kourtney introduced the caterers to them and said, "These are Katie's parents. If you need anything Do NOT go to them, ask me. They are not to be bothered, it's their day too." They covered every base and we could not have done it without them.
