We had the pleasure of working with Erika for our wedding that took place this February. From start to finish, Erika was a pleasure to work with. She made wedding planning look seamless as she came organized and prepared to share ideas of what may work best for our event while providing exceptional vendor recommendations that fit our needs. I never had to worry or feel like I was behind as Erika had my back every step of the way. In addition to her preparedness, she was always reachable and happy to assist. Whether it was phone calls, texts, emails, or the occasional virtual meetings, she was always there with a smile on her face excited to help. Erika, thank you for making the wedding of our dreams into a reality. We truly could not have done this without you!
Erika made our wedding day a day out of our dreams!! From when we started planning with her, to the morning of the wedding Erika was so thorough and organized. There was not one detail that was overlooked. On the wedding day all my family and friends complimented cool, calm and collected Erika was. Many other vendors reached out to me after the wedding and shared how easy and enjoyable working with Erika was! I would recommend Erika to anyone and everyone planning a wedding!!
We hired Erika with her full planning service package and we can confidently say it was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! From the very beginning Erika was involved and supportive of everything we needed. She was so kind and patient the entire time and it really felt like we were planning our wedding with a friend! She toured venues with us making sure all of the important questions were asked and answered. She also helped to keep track of all our vendors and kept in communication with them for the moment they were booked all throughout the day of our wedding. As for our actual wedding day we truly believe it was because of Erika that it was the most perfect day. Her detailed schedule for each vendor and person of the wedding party made things run incredibly smooth. We truly did not have to lift a finger that day and just got to enjoy being pampered and being married :) We could go on and on about all the amazing things Erika did for us throughout the whole planning process but we’d run out of room! Erika is the BEST! She is such a kind and genuine soul - and she takes great care of you throughout the entire planning process! Erika made me feel safe, comfortable, and secure through it all. Everything went as planned on my wedding day (and if it didn't - I had no clue!), as well as timely and organized. I got so many compliments and I know it was all due to Erika and her talent. She will advocate for you, she will think of every detail, she will go the extra mile. Her preferred vendors were also all amazing. You can feel the passion she has for this job! Hiring a wedding coordinator (especially a day-of) was very daunting. I searched for what seemed like months and decided upon working with Erika for our wedding and it was the absolutely best decision I could have made. Erika was very helpful even when I reached out earlier than our contract began. She was there for me and my needs and problems...and boy were there problems...but she magically solved them before I even knew about them. She was extremely communicative, helpful, resourceful, respectful, optimistic, friendly, and best of all - calm. The day of our wedding she made sure everything was accomplished and matched up with my vision and was on the move all night for us and her calmness definitely allowed me to lighten up and enjoy our wedding day. I don't know how she coordinated as much as she did in such a short period of time but she was very organized and on top of everything in order to make the wedding as smooth for my husband and I. suggest anyone planning a wedding to hire Erika for their special day. We had a Airbnb micro wedding and we hired Erika as a day of coordinator but it was far more than the day of. She set up meetings throughout the planning process to check in and keep us on track and when it came to the day of she was amazing. she showed up and immediately went into preparing mode by setting up our ceremony space and reception. I gave her an idea of what we were looking to have it look like and she took it and made it exactly how we imagined! When we had some time constraints due to our photographers Erika saw how I was becoming frustrated and immediately stepped in and helped keep it organized. I truly think without her we probably wouldn’t have gotten most of the shots I wanted. We didn’t have a dj so Erika helped us run all of our music for our ceremony and dances and it took so much stress off of us. She even started cleaning up the ceremony space for us before she left. She was a calming presence in what can be a very stressful day. Anything from a huge wedding to a micro wedding having someone like Erika there to organize and help execute the day is the best investment you can make. And Honestly i would of paid 3x what i did for her services. We appreciated her hard work and dedication she gave to our day as if it was her own. You will not regret hiring Erika!
Erika was the BEST choice!!! She is detail-oriented, always prepared, and so enjoyable to work with. I never felt stressed or overwhelmed because she was always calm - it gave me such confidence! I did the month-of package which is great for the bride that still wants to be mostly planning it but does not want to handle all of the details the month of. It was the perfect package for me to be stress-free in knowing she was following up with every vendor. Honestly though, working with Erika was so smooth, I probably would do her full-service package if I were having a do-over. I genuinely cannot recommend her enough. Even my guests were coming up to me and speaking so highly about how well she handled the weather issues and little things. It’s hard to put into words how incredible Erika was to work with for our wedding this past week in Winter Park, FL. From the first time meeting Erika to our wedding day a year later, she was meticulous in ironing out all of the important details in the planning and day-of coordinating process. Erika O’Brien Events is the wedding planner everyone should have. Planning a wedding is not the easiest thing to do, especially when you do not have a coordinator. I thought we had an idea on what it takes to plan a wedding, but we did not! Erika’s expertise made it an enjoyable experience. She was very detailed throughout the process and kept on track to make timelines were met. About two weeks out, I had a vendor fall through and I immediately called Erika for help. She gave the best recommendation and made sure everything was finalized. Our wedding was perfect, and things ran so smoothly. First off, absolutely worth it! I wanted a full time wedding planner, and I struck gold with Erika O’Brien! My husband Frank and I got engaged on Christmas Day 2022 and we were lucky to have found Erika just a few days later since we wanted to get started on planning our November 2023 wedding right away. There are so many reasons I could recommend Erika to plan your wedding, but here are my top five: #1: Erika was so flexible with our planning calls/meetings! My husband and I have such busy work schedules, so finding time to plan our wedding was sometimes challenging. Thankfully Erika was always down to chat after-work hours - which was SO helpful! #2: Erika made my classic meets modern wedding come to life! She has an amazing eye on making sure everything we picked was on theme from table setting to signage. She handled everything that I needed every time I needed. She even broke up with a vendor for me (huge source of anxiety). #3: Erika’s transparency was a breath of fresh air! She keeps it real and honest each time we had to make a decision towards wedding planning #4: Erika is great at working with all kinds of people with her exceptional organizational skills and emotional intelligence. All my family and friends loved how organized our whole wedding day was - from photos, to reception, to the party! Everything was planned down to the minute and Erika did it all with grace and a smile :) #5: Last but not least...what I appreciated the most about Erika was that she was ALWAYS 2 steps ahead of me - so no matter what random question I threw at her, she had an answer ready! As a type A person, choosing my vendors was a big deal (especially a wedding planner). Every detail matters to me. I needed to work with someone who valued the intention of details as much as I did. Not only that, I was looking for someone I could get along with, who understood my vision, and could execute it. Erika and her team absolutely exceeded my expectations. Every step of the planning process with Erika was easy and enjoyable. I always left our conversations understood and put at ease.
When it came to the wedding day, she went above and beyond to make sure every detail was catered to. I still get goosebumps thinking about when I saw the way Erika had put our receptions and ceremony space together for the first time. Wedding prep does not seem easy, there are so many details to take care of, but her and her team made it look effortless. Each moment we spent with her she came to us with professionalism, kindness, and a smile. She celebrated us so well till the very end, making sure we were able to enjoy every moment of the day without worry of the logistics.

We cannot imagine planning or having our wedding reception without Erika!! Planning a "destination" event was a daunting task since we weren't very familiar with the Clearwater area, but Erika made the process easy and enjoyable. Through in-person, virtual meetings, and emails, she kept our planning timeline on track. Her vendor recommendations were always on point! On the day of the reception, she made everything run smoothly. From decorating the venue within 2.5hrs to being one-step ahead with every aspect of the schedule to wrapping everything up at the end of the night, she didn't miss a single detail. Above all, she was a joy to work with - kind, even-keeled, and talented. We cannot recommend Erika enough!! (It was also really fun to work with Erika and Hunter together - they make a great team!)

Erika and her team were awesome!! In addition to making sure everything was running on time and smoothly, she was instrumental in last minute changes and emergency vendor suggestions. Her l emergency DJ suggestion for our rehearsal dinner and Mehndi (who was amazing AND very reasonably priced) solved a last minute problem. She even brought her own wedding card box!
Erika and her team managed our Jewish-Hindu wedding with careful and thoughtful planning and professionalism. Her calm nature and organizational skills were well appreciated throughout our events. We were able to relax and enjoy the experience rather than worry about the details and execution.

I could not say enough about Erika O’Brien Events. I found out my venue didn’t provide a wedding coordinator/planner so I found Erika a couple of months before the wedding. Wedding planning is super overwhelming and she did more than I could’ve asked for. I’m very detail orientated with a lot of things and it was very stressful for me to not be apart of setting up and coordinating the wedding. Erika and I had one on one video meetings to go over all the details and at that point I felt comfortable putting the coordinating into someone else’s hands. She made sure everything went smoothly and she set up all the decorations for me. This included all of the personalized decor. She had a detailed timeline that she gave to everyone in the wedding party which was super helpful to make sure everyone knew where they needed to be. All of this put me at ease so I could focus on enjoying the day. She also coordinated with all of my vendors and made sure they new when to be there and the timeline of the whole day. This was a big help because it was too much for me at times to chase down all the vendors and make sure they were going to show up. With out a doubt, I recommend Erika O’Brien Events, they did an AMAZING job, I couldn’t of enjoyed my wedding to the full extent if they were not there.
I thought I was organized and on top of things, but then I had Erika coordinate my wedding! I got married in New York City in June 2023 and opted to plan the big parts (venues, menu, specialty things my fiancé and I wanted like musicians and our getaway car), but I couldn't have pulled it off without Erika. She was there to remind me of the little things that often get overlooked like syncing up with vendors prior and during the wedding day, setting up the tables at the reception, and acting as emcee at said reception. She made sure no rock was unturned in terms of anything we may have wanted.
All in all, my wedding - which was a "destination" wedding for around 90% of guests and brings its own unique set of worries - was a smooth sailing success thanks to Erika's coordination and communication skills. She was ultra clear in emails and calls and was thoroughly wonderful to work with start to finish.
PS: Her husband, Hunter, took photos for our reception and did a beautiful job! He knew exactly how to pose us to capture those glowy, in-the-moment shots and shared in our excitement all throughout. I would totally recommend them as a package dynamic duo if you're also looking for a great photographer.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience working with Erika O’Brien for three events for our son and future daughter-in-law’s wedding weekend in St. Petersburg. Our relationship with Erika was somewhat unique in that we are the “in-laws” and wanted/needed her help in planning and coordinating the rehearsal dinner, the welcome party, and the newlywed brunch following the wedding. Matthew and Megan had a separate contract with Erika for the never ending list of wedding related details from beginning to end. Although the two contracts were separate, they worked in harmony to ensure the details and planning were well coordinated. Since we were not that familiar with St. Petersburg as we live in northwest Florida, her advice and help was invaluable!
Ten months before the wedding we met with Erika in St. Pete to check out hotels for the guest room block, met with various restaurants and venue coordinators for the welcome party and the brunch. It was a busy 3 days but with Erika’s excellent pre-planning and her being by our side to ask all the right questions, that trip was the beginning of a successful and fun relationship. In those few days we chose Sea Salt for the outdoor rehearsal dinner for 28 guests (an absolutely wonderful restaurant, outstanding food and so accommodating!), the Birchwood Hotel ballroom for the welcome party for 100 guests (coordinators and food were the BEST- our friends still talk about how great all the appetizers and food stations, especially the seafood bar and sliders, were and such a fun venue with both indoor and outdoor spaces), and the Canopy at the Birchwood Hotel for the Sunday brunch (again excellent food, drink and VIEWS!). We also used the Hilton Bayfront and the Hampton Inn as the preferred hotels; both good choices as they were easy walking distance to each event. Thank you Erika for helping us make all these decisions so easy and with confidence.
Throughout the months leading up to the wedding, I had endless phone calls, emails and texts with Erika. She always responded within hours and had a “smile” in her voice. Her communication skills are the best! No question or request went unanswered. For example, two weeks before the big weekend my husband suggested we have a photographer for the welcome party. This was not an easy “ask” given the short notice on a busy weekend in May and we needed someone for 2-3 hours to take fun and candid photos of our guests at the party. Unfortunately the wedding day photographer was not available so thinking outside the box was key. After several days without any luck, Erika made a fantastic suggestion. Her husband, Hunter, has experience with event photography and he was the perfect choice for what we wanted. Everyone loved his fun and casual style while taking lasting memories. This is just one example of Erika’s invaluable guidance and help.
I can confidently say that Erika was our right hand, go-to person during all those months. She continued to work with us and our event coordinators and fine tune our decisions on just about everything-food choices (which I changed frequently!), decor, table arrangements, guest counts, etc. Each time I went to St. Pete, we met and went through a few more details and visited with the venue coordinators to make sure we had all the details “just right”. Erika was even by my side helping put together my overflowing welcome tote bags and delivering them to the front desks. She has a calming influence when things can become stressful, as they certainly can and do with wedding planning. I truly believe that you will not be disappointed if you choose to contract with Erika. My husband and I started this journey with Erika as our weekend event planner but ended up with a great and trusted friend who I highly recommend!

Her website spells out very clearly what you can expect from her and she delivers everything she says she will. She accompanied us to menu tastings, gave us recommendations for vendors based on our budget and sat in on vendor interviews. She reviewed contracts and made suggestions. She scheduled check in meetings along the way to make sure everything was on track. She asked the questions we didn’t think to ask. She was always available to answer questions and always responded in a timely manner. Erika willingly took on any task or request we asked her to. She coordinated with all of our vendors and was able to troubleshoot successfully a few unexpected and last minute changes that had to be made. Her day of scheduling was literally down to the minute and was executed flawlessly. Erika was always there with a smile and a calm, friendly manner. She was such a huge part of an absolutely successful and beautiful wedding weekend! I’m so very glad we had her there every step of the way!
Having Erika as our wedding coordinator was the best decision we could have made! She was professional, personable, and so knowledgeable. I was very on the fence for getting a coordinator as I am a very organized person, but I could not be more glad we did. The day was stress-free and exactly how I hoped it would be! We had regularly scheduled meetings to go through the necessities, and she was extremely responsive if I had any other questions outside of our meetings. Not to mention, she kept me on track for things I had forgotten, and was our go to person for the things we weren’t sure on. I had many DIYs and she was extremely helpful in getting everything where it needed to be, executing my vision perfectly. The day went so smoothly because she had everything under control! On a very shortened timeline, I had two months to plan my wedding which was a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony followed by a dinner with about 70 guests.

We had our wedding at a park and even the head landscaper commented that this was one of the most organized and beautiful weddings he had seen. Erika did everything we asked of her and more.
