Shelly and Krystal were so great!! Shelly was super helpful getting us set up, and Krystal was AMAZING on the day of!!
We loved working with Shelly during our planning process. She always made sure we were staying on track and helped answer any questions. The day went perfectly and she was a huge help for making that happen!
I'm sorry to say, I can not recommend this company.
Shelly met with our son and fiancé, then sent someone else as the day- of- coordinator and her performance was not up to the standard the company advertised. Her version of the details of the day were sorely inaccurate, according to Shelly's response to our concerns. The day-of coordinator did not come to the rehearsal and was nearly 2 hours late on the wedding day. That in and of itself was unacceptable. There were other small things like tracking snow and mud into the home where the bridal party was getting ready, offering unrealistic advice to solve an issue with the venue, and not having the details lined out upon arriving at the church. If you are considering this company, be sure you interview the coordinator she's actually going to send to your wedding weekend.
Shelly and Krystal were GREAT! I was a spaz at every meeting trying to make sure everything was going to be perfect. They were always calm with this 'we got this no need to worry' attitude. And I didn't need to worry. If anything did go wrong I never knew about it. Best decision we made for our wedding was hiring Event Design. We were so busy there was no way we could've pulled it off without their help. They also made everything beautiful. Thank you both so much!
Event Design was a lifesaver for our wedding. We found them late in our wedding planning stages, but Shelly was able to find a Day of Coordinator for us and she met with us to go over details of our wedding.
What we needed was wedding day coordination - help getting things transitioned in to the reception spacke from our park wedding, and then help with getting things packed away after the reception. But Shelly gave us many other ideas and suggestions to help our wedding day run smoothly - things we hadn't considered that made a positive difference in the end.
For our wedding day we worked with Teresa. She was amazing! She was professional, knowledgable, and fixed things so quickly you'd never know there was a problem.
Since our wedding we've received so many positive comments on Teresa and her setup/transition/clean up crew. We couldn't have asked for more.
We definitely recommend Event Design for Day of Wedding Coordination. Had I known about them and their services early in our planning stages, we would've worked with them for other areas of our wedding. We give them 2 thumbs up!
Shelly at Event Design was so easy to work with. My husband and I had an initial meeting with her at a coffee shop. We all got to know each other and hammered out some wedding details. Shelly created our wedding day outline and also our ceremony outline for us. Our rehearsal ceremony was quick and easy. She made sure we were happy with everything before leaving. Our wedding ceremony was PERFECT. We didn't want anything to drag out or become boring for our guests. Shelly was able to make a short and sweet ceremony for us. Event Design also offers other services such as clean up and tear down and renting out decor. Shelly is amazing and I highly recommend her and Event Design.
I hired Event Design for their Day Of Wedding service. It was the best money I spent on my daughter's wedding. Krystal was our coordinator and she expertly took care of the details so we could relax and enjoy the day. She was efficient and flexible. I highly recommend.
I hired Event Design for my wedding on April 2nd, 2016 (Sorry Shelly for my late review! I feel awful!) Where do I start...lets just say I nicknamed Shelly as my "wedding angel" ;) Shelly and her team are AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING! I enjoyed working with Shelly so much! She is so very knowledgeable in the event industry! We hired Event Design to decorate Chez Hay, so they did the set up and tear down of all decorations. The room was breathe taking!!! We got so many complaints from our guests. I also hired her for Day of Coordination. Every bride needs a Day of Coordinator. I don't know what I would have done without Shelly by my side that day! Shelly, you are amazing! Our wedding turned out exactly what we imagined and it could not have happened without your EXCELLENT HARD WORK! Thank you again for who you are and what you do! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND EVENT DESIGN! A+ WORK!
We worked with Shelly Richardson of Event Design for our November 2015 wedding. We loved working with Shelly, as she is very creative had some great ideas for us. We hired Shelly and her team to decorate the reception hall and make decorations for the head table and dinner tables. I was disappointed when I arrived at the reception to see that the décor was not as elaborate as we had discussed. The decorations were minimal and some details we had discussed were missing. Also, her team did not decorate the head table at all, there were no candles, vases, or greenery as we had planned. I have seen pictures of Shelly's work, so I was disappointed that our event did not turn out as I had expected. Still, it was worth every penny having a team set up and tear down for us, and return all of the rentals.
Expected more for the amount that was paid. We had full planning, plus set up and tear down. We had a few meetings during the months prior to the wedding, and every time she seemed to forget what we had talked about the previous meeting. On the wedding day my mother and wedding hosts were not impressed with what she had set up. She didn't use a lot of the decorations we had provided her with, table linens weren't steamed, the backdrop wasn't like discussed, etc. They ended up directing and changing things around. When we went to go pick up decorations the next day, many things were not in the right boxes, which had to be returned to a few different places.
Overall, the wedding turned out beautiful, but it was a little stressful leading up to it.
I just got married a few weeks ago and used Event Design as my wedding planner - best decision I could have made!! Shelly (the owner) right away sat down with me and helped me with a checklist and several lists of vendors. She was able to save me so much money not only by helping me find the best deals, but by also providing me with discounts by referring her to certain venues. She contacted my vendors for me so I hardly even had to communicate with them much at all after my "big decisions" had been made. This made wedding planning SO much easier and so much more enjoyable! The Event Design team set up our venue for my bridal shower and our wedding reception and made both of them look absolutely beautiful. I wish I could give 10 stars, I highly recommend using them for all of your wedding planning needs! It's well worth it to save you time, money, and headaches!
