We had our month of meeting with her once we paid in full. We talked about all the details and laid out what our day would look like. Shari promised us a beautiful dessert display and made us believe she would exclusively be coordinating our wedding. Three days before our wedding, she informed us that two of her employees would be taking over. They had never been at any of the meetings and Shari wasn't even able to provide me with their information. I was unable to contact them until the day of the rehearsal. This was a new venue for both coordinators. They seemed lost, disorganized, and had to keep referring to the notes provided for them. The owners of the venue said they would not use the walkie talkies provided. This caused me to be a half hour late due to miscommunication. Luckily, I decorated most of the venue myself. The guestbook table was thrown together, and the dessert table was nothing as promised. The flower girl basket my daughter was supposed to walk down the aisle with (and had sentimental value) was never provided by the coordinators. We had numerous complaints from vendors, especially about the timeline not being followed. We were rushed through the cake cutting because the coordinators failed to start the speeches on time. They did a great job cleaning up and did the best they could with the limited time they had to prepare. If Shari were to include her employees in the lead up meetings, it would help events run a lot smoother.

We had regular Zoom meetings throughout the months leading up to our wedding. Shari was always incredibly prepared and patient with us when we changed our minds on details. (We left every single call feeling more excited and somehow not stressed at all!) One thing we loved was that whenever we brought Shari ideas or inspo photos, she was able to translate those into tangible ideas/vendors and gather all of the pricing and logistical info for us to make a final decision. She made the daunting work of planning a big event feel EASY. Our wedding came together beautifully and was truly the best day of our lives. Because we had so much trust and respect for Shari, we didn’t worry about a single detail other than being in the moment and enjoying the day. In fact—we only found out later that our bakery forgot(!) to deliver our wedding cake. She handled that situation behind the scenes like an absolute pro and before we knew anything was amiss, the cake was in place. We recommend working with Events by Wise to all couples who are looking for a supportive, creative, and reliable wedding planner. Shari became a trusted friend to us throughout the planning process and we are so grateful for her!

Ranch. We had the most AMAZING time! The bar was incredible and we loved our bartenders and the staff! They were all smiles, super helpful and were laughing with our guests and just having themselves a great time! Shari was also super helpful when I had questions about vendors recommendations and last minute details concerning the wedding. I HIGHLY recommend working with Events by Wise for your wedding or any other celebrations!

would have sought had it not been required by our venue, but boy are we glad we had it! Shari was easy to reach, handled all the small details we never would have thought of, and her team did an excellent job on wedding day. We were easy going brides, and did not like the very “wedding” vibe of the other coordinator/planners that we considered. Shari fit in well with our low key style and helped support our vision without putting on any pressure to do or be more. She and her staff were also great about being inclusive of us as a queer couple. On wedding day, her staff, Erin and Shea, were attentive, complimentary, and helpful. ble. One of the things that instantly drew me to Shari was her warm personality and her obvious love for weddings. I didn’t feel like just another client, but that I met with someone who genuinely wanted our wedding day to go as smoothly as possible. I hired her as our Month of Coordinator almost immediately after meeting with her. She provided us with all the tools necessary to set us up for wedding planning success and even reached out about COVID restrictions throughout the planning. She was extremely easy to get a hold of and got back to all of our questions quickly. Unfortunately, Shari wasn’t able to join us due to another wedding commitment (we missed celebrating with you!), but left us in the hands of Lindsey, who flawlessly executed all the plans that I had discussed with Shari. Lindsey was always on the move, making sure that things were going smoothly, and that we had everything we needed. Thank you to the whole Events By Wise team! We truly couldn’t have done it without you.

of coordination all of our vendors were suppose to talk to our wedding coordinator unless it was specific questions for us or payment details. Let me put it this way, my florist was calling me the day of the wedding with an emergency as I was putting on my dress and didn’t even know I had a wedding coordinator. Vendors had contacted us all month about layout and urgently needing a timeline There was a situation with the arch and she reached out to the groom of all people, to come fix it an hour before the ceremony as he’s getting dressed taking pictures with his friends and family. I had no one meet me when I arrived and had to spy on the ceremony to lead myself in which seemed silly when it was discussed the day before at the rehearsal who would be where. We got no pictures with my family after the ceremony because there was zero coordination and everyone took off. My mom ended up getting heat stroke from standing in the precession line so long and only made it to the ceremony. Honestly the most heartbreaking thing I can never get back from this whole event: not having pictures with my mom on my wedding day. 😔. During our dances at the end of the night, the coordinator told the band it was time for the first dance song (which had already happened) and we were already on to the father daughter dance. Guests had let her know the waters were empty and at bare minimum she could have let catering know, or one of the 10 staff we hired to refill, but instead she pointed to a different area that “probably” has water in it. She took our marriage license after the wedding, which was not signed by the officiant and while we were on our honeymoon ended up having to coordinate for her to meet him to get it signed. Some of our vendors were not even contacted by her which she said she would do to give them a run down and assure they were dialed. The day of our wedding the layout wasn’t what we originally planned on between us and her, and when asked if we could tweak a small change her only response was “wherever you put it is where it shall stay”. But we hired ten people to work for her and do these types of things, literally all she needed to do was delegate. The table arrangements, settings and decor were set up by our family and friends by the time she arrived. Which was also her responsibility other than the actual table/chair set up. Our family friends were also the only ones who knew which decor went in the right places. Pros: the website she provides: aisle planner, was great for the bride and groom to organize guests, seating and vendors. She did have one really sweet assistant Lindsey, who was pretty much by our side the entire day always checking in on us, letting us know what was happening and when. She even helped find fishing line to help fix my extra dress when it ripped!

We ended up using her not only for event planning, setup and cleanup, but also her team provided food service (to supplement what the food vendor provided) and bartending. Everyone was extremely friendly and efficient. She knows the venue we used (Historic Oakdale Ranch) very well. I recommend her to help with your big day!

a new, indoor venue and re-did the entire layout 3 days before our wedding day. It was absolutely amazing. Our big day turned out to be so much fun and it was so memorable. We didn't have to worry about a thing on the day of and I thank Shari and her team for such a wonderful day. She also has great recommendations for vendors!

We received quotes from other wedding planners in the area that offered pretty much the same services and Events by Wise was much more reasonable. Shari has connections with local vendors including caterers, event rental companies, DJs, photographers, and wedding cake designers whom she has built a report. Shari also has a plethora of wedding décor that she offers to her customers to use at their wedding! Again, my husband and I highly recommend using Events by Wise if your looking for wedding planning services!!

non-traditional wedding plans set out and Shari embraced all of our ideas, executing them to a T, all from across the country (we live in MD but had our wedding in Woodland)! Our wedding day was flawless (truly). I could not recommend Events by Wise enough and even enjoy following them on Insta to see all of the beautiful events they are a part of.

We purchased her Month of Wedding package and Shari took over all planning duties one month before the actual wedding, making sure all vendors knew where to be and at what time on the day of the wedding. Shari's contacts in the wedding industry were also very helpful in securing the services of other vendors as well as getting us additional discounts on their services when applicable. Shari's organizational skills and experience are what kept us on schedule and able to take care of each task timely so nothing was forgotten or left to chance. She was able to coordinate everything for the rehearsal as well as the wedding day. Shari and her staff took care of all vendors so our family only needed to enjoy what became a very special day for our family. Any Bride would be luck to have Shari and her staff take care of them on their wedding day as well.
