Farmhouse table handled all the food at our wedding, and our guests will NOT stop talking about how amazing it was! From the beautiful farmhouse spread during cocktail hour, to the salad and bread service, to the main courses (mushroom risotto, squash and sage pasta, and roast chicken), to desserts - everything was wonderful. As an added bonus, being that we (the couple) are vegetarian, we got to showcase more veggie-friendly options while keeping everyone full and overjoyed. When it came time for dessert and coffee, guests got such a kick out of the s’mores bar and mini-desserts.
Farmhouse table was friendly and helpful throughout the process - they were easily able to accommodate a tasting for us although we were an out-of-town couple, and happily answered any questions we had along the way. As we got closer, we communicated dietary restrictions and Farmhouse Table made it SO easy to navigate having options for all guests while sticking to the flavors and kinds of foods we love (and not having to spend any extra!). The day of - service was fantastic and everything went off without a hitch. They were even sure to send us home with A LOT of our food so we could enjoy it for days to come (which we extra loved since we were running around so much on our own big day!).
Amazing! Farmhouse Table was so wonderful to work with. It was easy to keep in contact, we were able to make small adjustments as needed and their group tasting event was fabulous. At our wedding our guest felt satisfied with the cocktail hour market station and passed hors d'oeuvres. For dinner the FHT staff made sure we were well fed. Our guests said "best wedding food we've ever had" and I couldn't agree more, it was so delicious! I'm so happy we chose them for our wedding.
I wanted something other than the standard chicken French for our wedding and Farmhouse delivered! The food was fantastic. They were able to customize things for dietary restrictions. We received so many compliments about the food. If you’re wanting out of the box but amazing then these are your people!
Mike, Sarah, Jess and team were SO amazing. The level of customization we were offered, the incredible relationship they have as a team, the impeccable food & level of communication made everything a breeze. We are so grateful for Farmhouse Table for having created our amazing meal!
We can't recommend Farmhouse Catering enough! Farmhouse was with us every step of the way when it came to planning the menu, designing the flow of service, choosing local ingredients, pairing wine, designing table-layout, and timing the deliver of food. When people at our wedding asked about the food (because they were so impressed!) I was proud to tell our guests about Farmhouse's locally-based meats and vegetables, commitment to composting, and community. These folks truly went above and beyond the roles I expected a caterer to play. Excellent food, classy aesthetics, and true commitments to earth-friendly service.
Farmhouse Table Catering catered our August wedding, and we could not be more grateful that we went with them! We had the opportunity to change caterers when our venue added additional preferred catering vendors, and they worked with us to make the switch possible. They then made every step of the planning process a wonderful experience! I have celiac disease, my mother in law is vegan, and we had just about every food allergy under the sun at our wedding. For the catering tasting, they accommodated our schedules as an out-of-state couple with limited availability, and planned an extra date for us when we could not attend the large-scale tasting. The owner, Mike, and the event coordinator, Jessica, then also planned a tasting that was largely gluten free so that I could try all of their wonderfully delicious food, and they even sent us home with some food for our road trip home! During the planning process, Jessica answered all questions about allergies and accommodated any changes that need to be made. And the day of with them was just fantastic! I was able to meet the bartenders prior to the ceremony who were such a delight and pointed out my very own mini fridge stocked with my favorite, mango white claws! We then got back to the groom suite after the ceremony to find gluten free steak and frites waiting just for me, to make sure I was able to eat some of the hand passed apps. All of the food was labeled with allergens, and the catering staff was all well aware of my allergies to ensure that I didn’t eat anything that could cause me to get sick. They even had a server walk me through the buffet line and prepare my food to ensure that nothing would spill on my white dress! And all of our guests raved about how delicious the food was and loved the farm to table concept. Cannot say enough amazing things about Farmhouse Table, and cannot recommend them enough!!
Mike, Sarah, Jess, and the entire staff at Farmhouse Table were a treat (no pun intended) to work with! The food was downright PHENOMENAL - one guest remarked that the roast beef was the best he's had in years - and they were more than accommodating when we asked for our custom wedding spice blend to be incorporated into our wedding menu. Not only that, but they made SURE that both me and my groom had the chance to eat! (Everyone always says the bride & groom are too busy for dinner, but they proved us wrong!) Jess had two servers bring us up to the buffet before dinner was officially "served" so that we had yummy food in our tummies before the night kicked off! 10/10 would recommend!
When you start to plan your wedding day you hope that you are never going to have to leave a review like this, but unfortunately here we are…
We had our first meeting with Mike, the owner, in August of 2018 to begin planning the menu for our wedding reception. My fiancé and I were very impressed with his eagerness and excitement to create a custom menu for our day. The meeting ended with a promise from Mike that he would have a draft menu proposal and formal quote for services to us within a couple weeks, but by October we still had not heard back. I reached out to Mike only to receive many apologies and another promise to draft a menu proposal by the end of the week.
This continued until April 2019, and by now, if you are still reading this, I know what you are thinking; Why didn't you just walk away? We never questioned (and still don't) their ability to create amazing foods. We frequent the Brighton Farmers Market, so we know that their creations are unique, creative, and most importantly delicious so we were willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and stick with them. After waiting 8 months, we finally received our first menu proposal. We were very open to letting Mike decide what to make with just 2 specific requests; no chicken (due to allergies in my family), and to include at least one vegetarian entrée option. The menu we received, featured a roasted chicken and no vegetarian options.
We had another meeting to discuss the changes and again were promised a revision by the end of the week. By August, now a full year later since we had our first meeting and less than 2 months to go before our big day, we still did not have a response from him. The most frustrating part was that we did not even have a finalized quote for services yet. We were getting married in 2 months and had no idea what the most expensive part of our wedding was even going to cost us! To say we were finally getting panicked would be putting it mildly.
Ultimately we decided to end our business relationship with them as it was becoming alarmingly clear that we were better off scrambling to find a new caterer, even with only 2 months to go, rather than continuing to wait, wonder and hope that we were even going to have dinner at our wedding. We are beyond baffled by their complete lack of communication and commitment to their customers, and believe that we made the correct decision to not use Farmhouse Table to cater our wedding.
Sarah and Mike of Farmhouse Table were so much fun to work with for our May 2019 winery wedding. They worked with our budget and created an incredibly delicious menu for our cocktail hour and wedding reception. Their professional team helped us with our reception rentals and helped us achieve our exact vision for our wedding day. Their personal touch truly made our wedding memorable.
We LOVED Farmhouse Table! We completely recommend them without hesitation. I cannot tell you how many people complimented us on how great the catering was at our wedding. We were literally told by multiple people that it was the best food they had ever been served at a wedding! Also--and this is a very nitpicky comment--my aunt (who organizes a bunch of events) was raving about their presentation of the food during our cocktail hour. I wasn't there to see it (we were doing photos) but apparently Farmhouse Table's staff was constantly neatening up the food, and not in an obtrusive way but very subtly so that it always looked like the beginning of the event. I cannot recommend them highly enough!
I don't have enough glowing words to say about Mike and Sarah. They are true artists and so passionate about their craft that you can truly taste it! We worked with Farmhouse Table for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding and their culinary range allowed us to have two distinctly different events. Their passion and dedication to locally sourced ingredients made me proud to provide to our guests. They were incredibly flexible when it came to achieving what we wanted and offered great advice, suggestions, and encouragement when we didn't know what we wanted. Sarah's aesthetic and presentation is incredible and it was a relief to completely trust her vision when I was overwhelmed with my own elusive one for our wedding. Their food is INCREDIBLE. They served our wedding of two hundred guests in a back yard, under a tent, and with limited facilities in an efficient manner and the food was hot when it hit the tables. Their passion and dedication to locally sourced ingredients really made me proud to provide to our guests. Three months later and those guests are still complimenting the food. Keep doing what you're doing, Mike and Sarah, and thanks for everything!!
My husband and I used Mike and Sarah as our caterers for our wedding and we could not be happier with the result. As food lovers, catering was one of the most important things for us, and we wanted to avoid the typical bland, boring meals that we were used to at other weddings. Farmhouse Table felt the same way that we did! Most of their ingredients come from local farms and businesses, and the flavor combinations that they think of are unique and tasty. Mike and Sarah made a huge effort to get to know my husband and me, and asked questions about our food preferences and all-time favorite meals to craft the perfect menu. They were also happy to make any adjustments we requested. My husband and I described a meal we once had on vacation that included a coffee crusted steak, and Mike and Sarah recreated it for our wedding menu using local ingredients. They invited us over for a tasting, which felt more like a dinner with friends, where we were able to talk through our plans for the cocktail and dinner service, as well as taste the delicious food they prepared, including Mike's amazing house-cured bacon and Sarah's incredible pies. The day of the wedding went seamlessly, and our guests raved about the food. I asked Sarah to save me a slice of her famous vinegar pie and found out the next day that she had saved me a whole pie (which took all of one day to devour). We can't recommend Farmhouse Table enough!!!
Mike and Sarah were absolutely fantastic to work with!! From the first time we sat down with them to discuss our vision, I knew things were going to be amazing. Our focus was on local, seasonal food, which is their specialty. Sarah even used liquor from our reception venue (Black Button Distilling) to make Bourbon Cream Whipped Cream and Apple Pie Moonshine Caramel for the pie bar! Our guests were thrilled with all of the food, and everything was absolutely beautiful. They even helped coordinate with the other vendors to get our decorations put together. And to top it all off, when we went back the next day to pick up all of our stuff, there were leftover pies to take home! Everything was an absolute dream and we couldn't have been any happier with how it turned out!
