Felicity is a historic wedding venue in the heart of New Orleans, Louisiana, offering couples a stunning and meaningful place to celebrate love in all its forms. Built in 1888 and lovingly restored, our former church space blends timeless architecture with modern flexibility — ideal for romantic ceremonies, heartfelt receptions, and unforgettable gatherings.

Felicity offers flexible layouts and creative possibilities for weddings of all sizes, from 20 guests to up to 300. We’ve hosted everything from simple ceremonies and brunch receptions to black-tie soirées with full-service catering, bar packages, second line send-offs, and live bands.
On-site catering is provided by Black Pearl Catering Co., known for New Orleans-inspired menus and elevated seasonal fare. Outside catering is welcome with an additional per-head fee.
Felicity is centrally located in the Lower Garden District, close to hotels, restaurants, streetcars, and all that makes New Orleans magical. From first tours to final toasts, we are honored to be part of your love story.

My wife Jess and I purchased Felicity in 2011. The building had sat vacant and damaged since Hurricane Katrina in 2005. We were married in Felicity in 2013; the first marriage in almost a decade. After experiencing so much love and joy at our wedding, we decided to let others feel that same bliss and began working on bringing Felicity into the 21st century.
After years of planning, Felicity reopened its doors as a nondenominational sanctuary of love and acceptance in 2016.

At Felicity, a wedding day coordinator is required, and we're so grateful because that meant that we had even more people working to make sure we had the best day of our lives - and we did! The beauty of Felicity is unmatched and the charm that she holds within her sanctuary is unlike anything we've ever experienced. Our friends and family were shocked with the way that Felicity continued to evolve throughout the evening and we loved spending every minute of our ceremony and reception in this space. We had a daytime cocktail hour downstairs followed by a sunset reception upstairs. We also took our First Look photos there! It was amazing to take advantage of the stained glass during the day and the cool lighting at night.
Catering with Black Pearl was fabulous. Felicity offers tastings for couples that book, where you can see the space at night in advance. This was tremendously helpful as I planned decor/floorplan.
Location was also ideal. Away from the French Quarter, but not far from downtown hotels and still in a charming neighborhood.
Guests told me they were amazed by Felicity. Acoustics, lighting, space were perfect. My husband and I liked that it was huge hall with a dance floor (packed) with other spaces for quiet conversation. Felicity Street also provided some fantastic photos of our Second Line send-off. Do yourself a favor and book them!

xceptional. The venue itself is breathtaking with exposed brick walls, 50-foot ceilings, stained glass, original wood, and a sense of history and character that instantly draws you in. It’s a photographer’s dream and a perfect setting for both intimate moments and big celebrations.
A huge part of what made our experience so wonderful was Chris, the GM and owner of Felicity. From our very first tour, he was engaging, prepared, and incredibly knowledgeable. He brought his iPad along to help us visualize different layouts (a lifesaver for someone like me who’s not naturally visual) and worked seamlessly with our wedding planner behind the scenes to ensure that every detail aligned with my vision. He also suggested thoughtful adjustments to our seating plan that significantly improved the flow of the space. Beyond the venue itself, his local New Orleans recommendations helped us plan our after-party and welcome events with confidence.
On the wedding day, Felicity truly shined. The AC kept everyone comfortable, the bridal suite became our retreat throughout the day, and the WiFi fully supported our livestream. Every corner of the space offered a beautiful photo opportunity and added to the magic of the day.
We are so grateful we chose Felicity. It’s a stunning, versatile, and well-run venue. We couldn't imagine hosting our wedding anywhere else.

Chris (the manager) was AMAZING to work with, he's an overall just nice guy and on top of that is extremely professional, accommodating, and helpful. He will go out his way to try to help you, for example early on in the planning process we were having trouble finding a church that held mass at the time we needed to make our reception time work and he recommend several nearby churches-one of which we ended up using! He responds quickly to emails and texts and is very up front and straight forward about costs of everything. I realized a few days before the wedding that I had accidentally bought the wrong size sparklers- he had some left over from another wedding that he let us use (crisis averted!). He really made the whole process as seamless as possible. The venue runs like a well oiled machine. The streets nearby are great for second line- which ofc our guest loved. Black pearl catering (who is the main caterer here) did a great job, everyone was blown away by the food . Chris also gives you the option to bring in outside alcohol which is not common for many venues - we used martins wine cellar, we were able to pick out what we wanted and a better tier alcohol at a more competitive price. We paid for bartenders through black pearl, who did a great job too. While other vendors in the wedding process often had hidden costs, Chris was very upfront with what you expect. Planning a wedding is stressful enough- do yourself a favor and get a beautiful venue with someone who is capable, knowledgeable and easy to work with through the process. for a beautiful and moody ambiance. We hosted 120 guests for a seated buffet upstairs and moved downstairs for our cocktail style welcome reception. A second bar in the courtyard helped to spread out our guests and take advantage of the added space that is well light with festoon lights and elegant mobile planters. dding day. We started planning our wedding in January 2021 and booked the venue without my now husband able to see it. Chris was able to arrange a tour with my parents and my now husband when we were down there visiting a few months later, and was always willing to answer any questions we had. Felicity is such a unique and gorgeous venue. We had our cocktail hour outside in the side courtyard and first floor, and then did our ceremony and reception on the second floor. The light through those stain glass windows was just magical, and Felicity Church also provides a perfect location for a second line around the park nearby. I would recommend it to anyone planning a wedding in New Orleans.

corating. So many people commented on the lovely natural light that shone through the stained glass behind the alter during our ceremony - it was almost magical. I also loved being able to have both the ceremony and reception. The location was also perfect - easily accessible for guests staying anywhere in the city.
In case those weren't enough reasons to love Felicity, Chris (the owner) is AMAZING!! Communication with him was a breeze throughout the whole process. He diligently made sure everything was taken care of to ensure we had a great experience & wedding day.

The layout was perfect for us to have both our ceremony and reception there (we did a secondline around the neighborhood while the vendors “flipped” the space, which I highly recommend!)
All of my expectations were exceeded and I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful the owner, Chris, was to work with. The flow of our event was seamless - starting with a 6pm ceremony, followed by cocktail hour downstairs, while the upstairs was flipped for the reception. Chris was always available to answer any questions and ease concerns. dedication, and genuine enthusiasm that really elevate Chris and his team to the next level. We felt as if a close relative was helping us plan and oversee our wedding; both of our parents assumed that Chris was a very close friend of ours from way back. Chris had amazing recommendations, was approachable and available for calls, and made us feel at ease from day 1 of planning. About 90% of our guests flew in from California (our wedding was in April 2022), and they are STILL talking about our wedding, most of them saying it was the best wedding they've ever attended. We appreciated all of his advice on what would work with the flow of the wedding and he made us feel so comfortable that everything would get taken care of and go smoothly on the day of. His communication with us leading up to and on the wedding day was better than perfect. He also did a great job keeping everything on track for our rehearsal and on the day of! This place created so many wonderful memories for us and I definitely want to attend an event here some time in the future. Thank you Chris for making our day so special!

The upstairs flip while our guests enjoyed the cocktail hour was flawless, and we literally can not think of a single thing that was out of place or could be improved. My husband and I cannot thank Chris enough for such a beautiful day!

in person, we sealed the deal. It was the most beautiful evening, and we appreciate everything Chris and his team did to make our day special.

we are from CA). I had already started looking at places and Felicity Church was actually my first choice! Then fast forward to actually being engaged we originally chose an outdoor location to be our Plan A, yet due to Hurricane Ida causing damage we went with our backup indoor location which was Felicity Church! And I truly think it was meant to always be Felicity Church for our wedding! We had an an intimate elopement, and I couldn't have asked for a better location to get married at, I can't be any more grateful to have been married at this place. Chris the manager, was super friendly and nice, professional, quick to respond to emails, and provided plenty of info for us for using the church. He was so great! Felicity Church was just amazing, the beauty of it in general, the lighting, architecture, and the ambiance of the space. It was the perfect backdrop for our wedding photos. Just from our wedding preview photos we have gotten so many compliments of how gorgeous the church looks. We still follow Felicity Church on Instagram and recommend that to others as well! We love Felicity Church and it will truly hold a special place in our hearts! We would absolutely recommend this space to anyone and everyone, and if we were ever able to have another event here we absolutely would. I cannot describe enough how great Chris and Felicity Church. This is definitely the place to get married!!

venue manager is a dream to work it. Chris is so accommodating and professional that he makes the planning within in the space a breeze. Not to mention he is beyond dog friendly, to the point that if he finds out you have a dog, he will try and find a way to have your four-legged friend involved in some way just so he can he can pet them. We were married upstairs in the church, then had a cocktail hour downstairs while we mingled and got started on small bites, then we headed back upstairs where the whole space was transformed into the most beautiful reception area I had ever seen. I would strongly recommend doing the ceremony and reception here, especially if you are coming from out of town, because it eliminates the stress of finding transportation in between ceremony and reception and makes for a longer, more intimate evening. Another one of my favorite parts about this venue is that is a full functioning kitchen so that your catering team will be totally set. I prefer this option to in house catering because I find that when you book somewhere that has in house catering you are really compromising on quality as far as food goes. New Orleans has so many incredible caterers that this option lends you to the best of both worlds. It's also centrally located and one of the best locations in town that allows you to easily get to the Quarter or Uptown depending on where your guests are staying or where they might want to go later in the night to keep the party going. Overall I can't recommend Felicity enough.

He was very responsive and informative to all of our emails (quite a few to be frank). All in all it was a great experience and we would totally recommend this venue for your wedding, rehearsal dinners or anything else!
