French Quarter Lanaux Mansion is a wedding rehearsal dinner and private dining venue located in New Orleans, LA. This historic grand parlour is a beautiful setting for your special event.
Established in 1897, this mansion sits at the edge of the French Quarter where it meets the famous jazz and blues clubs of Frenchman Street. Built in 1879 by wealthy attorney Charles Andrew Johnson, the Lanaux Mansion has since become a New Orleans landmark featured in films like "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button." It is an ideal backdrop for you to make your own history as you celebrate your new chapter. The spaces can accommodate up to 150 reception style, or 60 seated guests. Johnson Hall is a double parlour with vaulted ceilings and gleaming hardwood floors. The Benjamin Button Salon and The Courtyard are the other two spaces that offer ample space for socializing and dining.
At the French Quarter Lanaux Mansion, they provide full catering and bar services for a seamless experience. Wif-fi, separate restrooms, onsite security, and cleanup are provided for all events. The team takes care of the logistics so you can focus on just enjoying the charming historic setting.

Andrea Thornton
Manager
Andrea has incredible experience in the hospitality industry. In 2000 she served as the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Hotel Monteleone where she led revenue management, reservations, catering, and all hotel sales and marketing operations for over a decade.
A respected leader in hospitality, Andrea co-founded Mid-South Women in Travel, served on the inaugural board of Tales of the Cocktail, and held board positions with the New Orleans CVB, French Quarter Business Association, and Historic Hotels of America, where she also chaired the Sales and Marketing Committee. Andrea has served as president of HENA, SKAL, and Meeting Planners International (MPI).
Andrea’s achievements include being named one of Citibusiness’s Women of the Year (2003), receiving the Silver Plume Award for Best Director of Marketing, and earning the New Orleans CVB “Hats Off” Award. Andrea currently serves on the River Road Historical Society board and continues to bring her expertise to hospitality and event management as manager of the Lanaux Mansion.
