r wedding that was supposed to be April 4, 2020. Gabi was INCREDIBLE. She went above and beyond to help make this wedding a reality and helped us postpone our date not just once but twice! She was the point of contact for all our vendors and was able to find a date that worked for everyone so we wouldn't have to lose any vendors or deposits. She is very detailed and thorough and made us feel so much better during such a rough time. She went the extra mile and made the entire wedding planning process so much easier. For the day of, she rocked! She made everything happen and was on the ball even when rain made us switch to plan B for our outdoor ceremony. There were some very specific questions my vendors were asking that I wasn't sure how to answer or what the best decisions would be, Gabi had great suggestions and really clarified what worked best for our day and our venue. My mother and grandmother were DRIVING ME CRAZY those last few weeks leading up to the wedding, and Gabi definitely acted as a buffer and addressed their concerns so I wouldn't feel so overwhelmed. On the day of, everything ran so smoothly!!! It was the best day of my life!!! When we had a slight hiccup at our first look location (some angry tenants) she jumped in and quickly found a solution.She was positive, professional, and like having a best friend beside you. I had Gaby as my wedding planner for approximately 9 months, and within those 9 months, absolutely nothing had been done. If you are the kind of bride that is looking for a reliable, organized, and well communicative wedding planner, STAY AWAY!...

Looking back, there were a lot of red flags from the beginning. Even the simplest task, such as emailing the “getting to know you” questionnaire (which gathers more personal information about you and your fiancé), Gaby would say she'd email it by X date, but didn’t in fact do so until I asked her multiple times about it. This was a constant theme with Gaby, and ultimately why I had to change wedding planners. I had to ask and follow-up with her multiple times about everything (e.g., contacting vendors, vendors prices, what vendors we were considering, and etc.), in order to receive a response, which ultimately lost my trust in her ability to stay within the timeframe discussed. When she would contact me, she would promise to follow up with items or make it seem that there was progress being made, however, I never saw tangible evidence of it being done due to her immense lack of communication. I had to reach out to her multiple times over an extended period for her to answer me. Near the end of the 9 months, I couldn't sleep nor concentrate at work because I was so stressed out by her lack in communication and ability to follow through with the steps necessary in planning my wedding. I am now scrambling to plan my wedding with the time I have remaining. Please save yourself the stress, and making your wedding planning an enjoyable experience by finding another wedding planner.

r all couples, so before deciding it was best for everyone that we dissolved our planning agreement, I certainly took into consideration the time you'd have left of planning and felt over a year was more than enough time to plan. One of my main responsibilities as a planner is to ensure a couple stays within their budget, especially in the beginning stages of the planning process, which was a difficult task in working together. My team and I inquired with countless vendors beyond the ones we know and trust to find ones that would fit your vision and budget, only to receive Instagram DMs in return with luxury wedding vendor accounts from you asking for me to inquire about their pricing, which were always about a third of your overall budget. We even assisted with other wedding related aspects that were not part of actual planning or part of our agreement but that were requested by you, such as more information on Say Yes To The Dress Atlanta, which my team again contacted the store employees as well as the show producers multiple times for information on the application, which was not online at the time, and insisted it be posted so you could apply. The wedding planning process is a team effort, and although many couples refer to me as their fairy godmother, weddings are not pt together by magic, but by realistic and clear expectations from all parties. You're in the hands of another great planner and I really hope she can help you more than I could. oothly. As a small example, I hadn't considered what would happen to all my "stuff" like my champagne flutes and cake server at the end of the reception. If it were not for Gabi it probably would have gotten lost in the shuffle, but she had it all wrapped up and neatly tucked away for my mom to grab. We upgraded Gabriela's package from day-of coordination to partial planning when we had a hard time narrowing down and booking some vendors and that was the best decision we made. Automaticaly made us feel more comfortable and relaxed when it came to making edcisions because Gabriela was helping. Our wedding day was PERFECT and I new we were in good hands. It was not an easy job but she was able to step in with a week left and take control of our wedding like as if she was there from the beginning. Gabi has a special gift of connecting with the couple and feeling like she's part of the family. So if you're looking for someone that is easy to work with and does a great job in organizing/planning/ keeping everyone in line with the timeline then Gabi Sousa is the person you need to hire. e to understand what we wanted, and reviewed all the aspects of wedding coordination with us which was super helpful and put us at ease. Each meeting after that was smooth and pieced together the details of our wedding day. Whether it was forming the timeline, helping with venue layout, running our rehearsal, coordinating bouquets, or even providing details like a card holder which saved us from a bunch of errands before our wedding - Gabriela truly went above and beyond. On the big day, her team took care of transforming the outdoor venue into a beautiful wedding setup despite on-and-off rain throughout the day. I'm certain the weather was challenging but I didn't notice or stress about anything - GSE was on it! We felt so confident with Gabriela on our team and I cannot tell you how much that means going into and on the wedding day. Even my bridesmaids noted how great she was.
