We purchased a package of services. The sparklers were a cool effect, however, usage was much less than advertised. The dry ice machine is a one-time use during the first dance and was nice. The name in lights doesn't get as much notice given ...its on the floor the whole time. Music-wise, Gemini did alright. Some of our guests did tell us that the way they mixed the music was inconsistent where they ran through some hype segments and crowd favorites way too quickly and played certain songs that killed the energy inconsistently. They represented to us that they would "read the room". We've been to other weddings where the DJ did a better job of keeping a consistent and smooth flow of energy during the night. The photo booth is where we have the most buyer's regret. The booth is a traditional experience that my wife and I do at every wedding and other event and hang the strips on our wall of memories. We of course wanted one at our own wedding. We even got a photo guest book with slots for 2 x 6 strips for our guests to sign. I even texted Gemini to ensure the booth ordered would print 2 x 6 strips to fit in the book and that we'd get copies . Three days before the event we were going over final details with Mike (the DJ) and he mentioned that another group who ordered a similar booth to ours, was unhappy with their pictures because the step-and-repeat background did not have guides to indicate frame width of the booth lens and that large group photos were being cutoff. Mike said that they could have the booth attendant take manual photos to ensure the framing and for us to still have the booth experience. This was my understanding. On the wedding day an hour before the ceremony, Mike pulled me aside asking for my final decision on this. I didn't understand what I had to confirm and was told that with a manual camera we won't have a booth and the pictures would be 4 x 6 singles, not the 2 x 6 strips. I was stumped and surprised and just learning about these distinct alternatives instead of getting the hybrid solution I was led to believe 3 days ago. Under the pressure to make a quick decision, I picked the manual photographer, something I will regret forever. There was no prop table, no 2 x 6 strips, no instant printing. The pictures were poorly lit and sometimes rushed (closed eyes / not looking at the camera). Our guest book is barely used with awkwardly tapped pics. Ultimately, I made the decision, but I hold Gemini equally accountable. This the first wedding that I organized. I don't know the nuances of these booths or how they work and rely completely on my vendors to understand and guide us with their products...something Gemini didn't care to do. PS, all 3 Gemini members went to eat together with noone to man the camera while they were gone. After the event, I reached out to them to express my disappointment and requested a partial refund for the booth experience we didn't receive. The owner emailed me with a quick informal message to appease me with a small credit for future service. This, after I left a generous cash tip on the wedding night. I replied with my disappointment and frustration with the services received and offer. I never heard back again. That's my experience. Instead of getting a premium DJ service that is customer oriented, we got a company that just does the minimum to take your money and not really provide intimate and attentive service that you would want on one of the most significant days of your life.
