George Robinson Drums

George is a drummer and music educator in Keene, NH. He performs and teaches all across New England and is heavily involved in the local music community. Additionally, George also works as a bandleader, recording musician, & music producer. He teaches music at Keene Middle School and Keene State College.  George earned his B.M. in Music Education from Keene State College in 2012, and earned his M.M. in Jazz Drum Set Performance from UMass Amherst in 2018. Over the course of his career, George has had the pleasure of performing with world-class musicians including Greg Hopkins, Shiela Jordan, Gordon Goodwin, Chris Potter, Steve Davis, Frank Greene, Avery Sharpe & Gary Smulyan. He has also studied drums with Joe Farnsworth, Clarence Penn, Francisco Mela, Billy Drummond and Bob Gullotti.  George performs in the region with the Keene Jazz Orchestra & serves as the drummer for the Keene Lions Club theater productions. He has also performed with the Amherst Jazz Orchestra & the Compaq Big Band, and recorded with the Brian Martin Big Band on their debut album "Old Home/New Home".  When he's not working, George spends as much time as possible with his wife Katie & their two sons, Teddy and Jimmy.
