s from start to finish was so fun and enjoyable getting to hand pick every detail with Anne’s help. She made everything go so smoothly with providing the addressing services and all we had to do was assemble each invitation. Anne also made custom koozies for our day and our matching thank you cards. Those were pure perfection as well. Her eye to detail is who you would want designing your Invitation set. Yes , pricing can be higher than online websites but having someone in charge of this important detail for your wedding and catching ever detail is worth every penny in my opinion. For a place this expensive, I think there’s a certain caliber of expertise to be expected, and yet there was a problem during every step of the way. Avoid this place like the plague unless you think your life is going too easy and you really need a tough challenge to spice things up during your wedding planning.

invitations, save the dates, koozies, door hangs for out of town guests, cocktail napkins programs that were fans...they did it ALL! And everything was so cohesive! We came up with a design and everything we ordered was in the same design! Julianna their graphic designer made my vision come to life! They were so easy to work with anythibg we wanted chaged was changed within 24 hrs, nothing was out of the qustion! They also ALWAYS sent options so i was the one making final decision on all fonts, colors, etc! I want them to design ever thing for me forever! And they have a great store for small gifts! AND THERES A KITTY CAT IN THE STORE!!! Loved them loved them loved them!!!

She gave professional and honest advice that helped turn my scatter brain ideas into a beautiful, classic invitation that reflects both of our personalities to a T. The quality of their products is excellent and leaves nothing to be desired. Everything was done in time or ahead of schedule. Their pricing is competitive in the San Antonio area, and the overall experience is one of the best. If you decide to use Girl General you won't regret it. I am so grateful for everything they did for me, and they will go above and beyond for whatever you need! I wouldn't even consider using anyone else because they made my whole experience so stress free and were accommodating in every way!

my expectations. The initial consultation felt rushed - I wasn't given options to consider but more was asked to design the invitation for them. I guess some couples come in already knowing very specifically what they want - down to the size, stock, fonts, designs, etc. I was hoping for the custom invitation shop to - you know - help custom design them for us. But alas, we did wind up with a design I liked, copied directly from a Minted invitation I brought in. The owner told me that she knew exactly how to word invitations and reception cards and would handle it, but the proofs I received contained only my draft content verbatim. When the invitations arrived, the foil embossing color was wrong. Horrified, I asked the owner if I was seeing them wrong. She told me I was confused about what color we ordered, and then eventually conceded that they got it wrong after pulling out the order form. Even then, I didn't get an apology but an opinion - that she liked the wrong color better anyway, and did I want to keep them for a tiny discount? They did reprint them at their cost - as they should have - but not without the owner calling me on the phone at work to complain to me about my mom and insult her. (Yes, that actually happened.) Unfortunately, we had to continue working with them because we had already paid for menus and a seating chart. Again, there was not much design expertise offered during the design process. We were simply asked what color, font, and layout we wanted. When I was sent a proof it looked lovely but off-centered. I replied about the centering, and the owner responded snarkily that she was a professional designer and if I didn't think she knew how to center font then I should come measure it myself in person. Well, Anne, I know you can't correctly center font, because our menus at the wedding were off-centered. It's almost unbelievable to me, even now, that someone in a service business could have such difficulty properly dealing with people. Interacting with this owner felt like dealing with a toddler - no reason could be expected. I had to remind and coach my mom that since we had paid up front for the other products, we needed them to complete the job and couldn't upset her since we had no recourse to get our money back or leverage to ensure a good product. I would not recommend this shop to anyone looking to purchase wedding invitations. Find somewhere else. You do not want to deal with this kind of wildcard behavior when you're paying hundreds and thousands of dollars for pieces of paper.

wanted. We had compliments on the paper & color, design & elegance; but feel we could have saved on price. They were ordered from another company and we opted to put them together. Gaby just submitted the order.

They e-mailed the first proof, it was missing so much & some of the things were even spelled wrong. No big deal, I sent corrections & they sent me another proof. Well, it was STILL wrong. I corrected them once again, & the next proof they sent was correct. After 4-6 weeks (normal) they told me they were ready for pickup. I told them I wanted addressing service & they told me to send my address list. Well, I sent the address list w/ a Word attachment. I waited a week & heard nothing. I e-mailed asking if they recieved my list. They e-mailed me back (on a Wed.) & told me they did & they would be ready by Friday. Well, I heard nothing from them by the next week & e-mailed them the NEXT Wed. Then, they told me (rather rudely) that I hadn't sent the address list in the right format. They said they would "re-send" the correct template. Basically, eluding to the fact that I didn't know how to follow instructions. Well, the problem is they never sent me the correct template to use in the 1st place! I told them it would have been nice to know that when I sent the e-mail asking if they received my list. They apologized & told me they just assumed I had the template. They said they would knock down the addressing price from $1.25/envelope to $0.50/envelope. That's nice. However, after looking @ my original contract it listed addressing as $0.75/envelope. I mean a discount is a discount, but it was a little deceitful to make it sound like more. But Fine - not a problem I'll fix it. The template was a little confusing, but I was pretty sure I did it correctly. Finally, after another 2 wks or so they tell me they are ready for pickup. I picked them up & checked ALL my envelopes. I had 5 enevelopes that I knew were going to be tricky. They were for parents w/ children in the home. The template said if it was a child in the home to just write the child's name with no "and" next to the parent's names. It said if it was two unmarried persons living in a home with different names then to separate THOSE names with an "and." Well, 3 out of the 5 envelopes were wrong. They said the parent's names & then immedaitely followed the child's name. For example: "Mr. & Mrs. John Smith Sally" intead of "Mr. & Mrs. John Smith & Sally". Well, I was pretty upset because out of the 5 I formatted this way 2 were printed correctly & 3 were wrong. I thought if I had submitted it incorrectly that all of them would be wrong. So, I went back inside to let them know. I pulled up the list I sent to show them that I did it the same for all 5 & show them what the template said. Instead of apologizing for the confusion I heard the "boss" in the back start blaming me for not being able to read instructions. She came up to me very aggressively & interrupted me every time I tried to explain. She told me their instructions are specific & I must not have followed them correctly. I explained that if that were true then all of the envelopes would have been wrong. But at this point I didn't want to argue I just wanted it corrected. They corrected them with MY extra envelopes & told me they'll order me new envelopes & call me when they're in. That was in January & I haven't heard from them since.

liked but did not “love.” Anne was VERY helpful, and she is SUPER knowledgeable when it comes to invitations! She took the time to help us create an invitation that we loved! We had liked certain aspects of a few invitations, and she took the aspects and turned them into an invitation that we loved. We wanted something simple with clean lines, but something that still looked elegant. We also wanted an invitation that would be within our budget. Anne was able to give us what we wanted it, and at a price we could afford. The invitation turned out beautiful! Anne and her team were super easy to work with, and always responded to all of our questions. I also had my robe and bridesmaids robes embroidered at her shop. I loved the way they turned out! I will definitely be using Girl General for any stationary or embroidery items I will need in the future! I would recommend them to any of my family or friends that are getting married.

and ribbons did not match. we did not have enough envelopes or ribbons for the invitations. When we came in for more ribbon, we were charged for the ribbon that was cut sloppily and causes the ribbon itself to fray. We ended up buying our own ribbon AGAIN. They do have an amazing array of choices for invitations though.

I received so many compliments on how beautiful my wedding invitations were and their timelessness. I went in with a totally different approach and idea that Anne straightforwardly said "I don't think so" (nicely) I had spent way too much time on Pinterest and was all over the map with a crazy, kitchy vision in my head that would not have reflected the look we were going for. She knows her stuff and is meticulous at making sure everything is perfect! She has a fantastic calligrapher who we used as well and they're so efficient on timing, product and streamlining the entire process. From start to finish, the process could not have been easier or gone better. Working with Anne was a joy and we ended up having our rehearsal dinner invitations as well as some shower invites and others done through her as well :) I LOVE GIRL GENERAL!

We started off having no clue what it was we wanted and she led us to an absolutely beautiful custom-made finished product! To top it off, we had her do everything in both English and Spanish (for which we provided the translations) which she worked on with us diligently and everything (with a bit of extra work and patience) turned out beautifully! We received SO SO SO many compliments on our wedding stationery, and it really set the tone for our wedding theme!
