On our wedding day we worked with George and Ashlee who were both absolutely incredible! George made sure all of our decorations were set up how we wanted them and made sure our day perfectly. Ashlee was our bridal attendant and was so incredibly attentive- anything I needed she was there and she was constantly bringing my husband and I drinks during the reception so we didn’t have to worry about a thing! Our guests are still messaging us talking about how delicious the food was, how many cocktail hour options there were and of course how amazing the vienesse hour was. All our guests have told us it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to and we have Glen Island to thank for making our day so perfect all around!

by the price point. My mother had suggested Glen Island because she had attended a wedding there years ago. I am so glad she did because we knew right away that it was the right place. Not only is the location and venue itself gorgeous, but they offered so many of the elements that other venues were charging extra for, as part of the wedding package. From the champagne welcome to the hot chocolates as people left, my friends and family think we’re millionaires because of the incredible luxury and attention to detail. Truthfully I was surprised at my own wedding! Everything was just above and beyond what I imagined and we enjoyed seeing all of the little details come together. I feel like we got 3 times the value of what we paid. Rodney made planning an absolute breeze! He was so kind and easy to work with from the first time he toured us around. We didn’t have a planner (budget!) and I asked if we needed a day-of coordinator to make sure everything went smoothly on our wedding day - he said no. I was nervous because I’m generally a bit anxious, but I am so glad I trusted him because we did not need to do a THING on our wedding day. He was so kind and attentive and even made sure we had Diet Coke at the wedding because my entire family is addicted. Everything was taken care of and our maitre d for the night, George, was INCREDIBLE! He anticipated our every need and took care of anything and everything we needed throughout the night. I think he saw me fanning myself after getting worked up on the dance floor and immediately turned the air up. Shoutout to my bridal attendant Jasmine who was a literal angel! She helped with everything and was so kind and sweet the entire time. She helped me carry my dress outside, get ready for the ceremony - everything! Now… the FOOD! Everyone I spoke to could not get over the food. I have a friend who is basically a professional wedding guest — he’s been to over 150 weddings and he said this cocktail hour was in the top 5! There were just so many options and everything was hot and delicious. I wish I had eaten more! Another friend said that her entire table was saying this was some of the best wedding food they’ve ever had. We did the Viennese dessert hour, and I think some of my friends went literally insane (as did I) when they saw the display. I heard one friend said “how expensive is this wedding?!” Truly we had no idea the dessert hour would be this lavish. Everyone kept saying it was like Willy Wonka. Truthfully, this could not have been an easier planning process for what was an amazing wedding. I had an idea of what it would be and this surpassed that tenfold. The guests were constantly commenting on how amazing the staff were — could not be happier that we chose this venue! My father is already trying to convince my sister to host her son’s bar mitzvah here so we can return. The one thing I had a hesitation about at the start was that we were told we needed to use one of their recommended florists. Well, I was wrong to worry because we worked with Enza Events and I truly could not have asked for anything better. Looking back it made the process easier because I didn’t need to search through hundreds of vendors, I had a small selection to choose from and got to work with an amazing vendor.

The day of, my bridal attendant Ashlee was a godsend! She advocated for me, sewed a broken button on my dress, kept me calm, and helped with basically anything I needed. I honestly don’t know how I would’ve gotten through the first half of the day without her. Once the cocktail hour and reception started, our maitre d Corey was on top of everything and adjusted our timeline based on our needs. One of the best things about Glen Island is their food. Their cocktail hour stations are so extensive and something our guests are still talking about. The entrees and desserts are just as fantastic. The park nearby was also perfect for our first look and bridal party photos. We could not recommend Glen Island enough, and hope to return for another wedding in the future.

Cocktail hour was something that neither my husband, myself, or my family had ever experienced at a wedding. It was delicious and there was TONS of food!! There were 5 stations, over 20 passed appetizers, a piano player, and absolutely stunning views of the Long Island Sound. Dinner was absolutely delicious. The best food we have ever tasted. What really stood out to us and our guests was the Venetian hour. The venue provided every single dessert we could have possibly imagined. The dessert was back in the cocktail hour space and set up in stations. Our guests are STILL talking about the dessert and just saying it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. My husband and I had the absolute time of our lives and we are so blessed and grateful that we were able to have our wedding at Glen Island. In addition, the bridal assistant and host of the night were spectacular as well. Ashlee put my hair back, changed my shoes, and consistently got us drinks and food. George was outstanding and combed my husbands hair when it got a little messy and gave him cool towels after a night on the dance floor. Thank you Rocco, George, Ashlee and the entire staff at Glen Island for not only giving us a wedding beyond our wildest dreams but for also giving our guests something to talk about for years and years to come!

My attendant Ashley and the major d Maria were there at all times to make sure everything was going as planned. I felt like they were a part of my bridal party!! I would not have made it through the day with out them. The food was AMAZING. The venetian hour was a shock to all guests including my husband and I. I am so sad that it is over. I will forever remember Jack, Maria & Ashley as part of our day. I do not think any venue would ever beat Glen Island.
