I worked with Alana on an amazing wedding for Rachael & Christian at the Sinclair on G. I knew of Godoy Events prior to working on this event and their reputation. However when it came to this event they far exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond. There are som many qualities that make great event planning and wedding coordination and as a DJ sometimes you feel left out and need to ask for things. That was never the case and I was CC'd on emails and kept in the lop on all updates. Their professionalism and proactive approach was amazing and the day of the event all of the timeline and key moments were continually checked on while executed. I can't state how much I wish this was the industry standard, but it is not. I have had many I work with drop the ball in so many aspects. If you want to make sure that your event is an utter success make sure to hire Godoy Events as part of your dream vendor team!
Im a wedding photographer who has worked with numerous different planners, NONE come close to comparing to Alana and her team. Absolutely blown away by her organization, prompt and speedy response time, her attention to detail, work ethic and drive, willingness to be open to other vendor input, and her passion for wedding planning. Yall. I am so incredibly particular about every single damn thing that when it came time to my 40th birthday, I decided to throw myself a huge party ON MY OWN because I figured no one would do it quite like how I had envisioned it. Well, once I secured the venue and started trying to secure vendors, I realized this was going to be a LOT more stressful than I had imagined.
I'd met Alana at The Sinclair when I did a walkthrough. She answered all my questions and when I told her about my vision and what I wanted, you could tell she truly saw it and wasn't just trying to appease me. So when it came time to hire someone to take on Day-Of coordination, I knew she was the perfect person for the job.
This event, was truly truly a labor of love, one which I poured just about every ounce of energy into. I get so wrapped up in what I want that it's hard for me to delegate because I know no one will do it quite like how I want it.
Enter Alana. She truly truly just gets it.

Alana and Denise truly made my night super special, took care of everything, and checked on me endlessly throughout the night to see if I needed anything. Alana was the best coordinator a bride could ask for. She was professional and you can tell she knows her stuff with how prepared she is and thoughtful she was for all of the things. When there were small
Mishaps with another vendor out of her control she handled it with grace and checked in with us throughout the entire day which helped to keep us calm and collected. I was very specific in asking for an assistant if possible who spoke Vietnamese and Alana was able to make it happen which was very special for some of our guests. Alana also helped with a trustworthy list of recommended vendors which also came in handy! Alana was immediately available to help with anything including helping to do a last minute hem with safety pins for a bridesmaid. We are so thankful to be blessed with Alana’s presence for a very long day at multiple locations.

Alana and her team were perfect for our wedding in San Diego! They did an incredible job managing multiple venues and multiple vendors (audio, hair and makeup, photo, reception dinner, event furniture). Some of our vendors (floral) were family members, and Alana did a great job handling those relationships. Alana truly went above and beyond in helping us prepare and set up in the weeks and days leading up to the big day, which was extremely helpful since we were coming in from out of town. She gave excellent recommendations and was very responsive in our communications. Her professionalism and experience made for a really fun, memorable, and worry-free wedding day!

Venue required a Day of Coordinator (DOC). We hired Alana for DOC Services in August 2023 for our wedding in July 2024. Super excited. We really like Alana.
Two weeks before our wedding Alana called to inform us that she was “expanding her company into LA.”
LA wedding - same day as ours. Alana rescheduled to do the LA wedding and reassign our wedding to someone else on her team. At this point, Alana was paid in full, and it was too close to our wedding to find or pay for another DOC, giving us little recourse. Despite our apprehension and disappointment, we had to accept Alana’s decision.
Alana arranged to have Daisy "who has several years’ experience and is well known in the industry." However, Daisy would later inform me that she has little experience and only worked for one hotel. Daisy also stated, on the eve of our wedding, that she had “never even walked the venue before that day but was excited to be there!”
We had a phone call a few days before the wedding. Daisy and Alana attended the rehearsal which was chaos and out of order. Alana left early and later Daisy and I went to the reception hall to discuss item placement.
I had packed reception boxes for each table, and I personally placed individual boxes on each table. We talked for a bit, and I stated to Daisy that I needed to get back to my guests and didn’t have time to do the set up. A decision, I would later regret. A bell hop assisted us in taking ceremony boxes to our suite to remove them from the reception hall.
Wedding morning, Daisy arrived 30 min later than stated. I received a text message; she was there beginning set up. After a request from me Daisy stopped by with a lot of confusion, she left and proceeded to set up without speaking with me. I should have called her, but I was late for the ceremony after a makeup fiasco. What bride would not be upset after makeup having to be completely redone!
Holding back tears, I walked down the aisle to see all my décor was set up wrong. I didn’t make it to cocktail hour, I later heard the games we brought were not set out. As I arrived at the reception, I peeked inside the room and saw chaos – I expected this because our seating chart was locked in an office, we couldn’t access to the night before, so we couldn’t put it together. I also noticed that the tables were not set up as I requested, they were a mishmash of the items I brought.
All in all, I saw Daisy for no more than 10 minutes all day. She did not communicate with me by text, phone or other means. Yes, the decorations were done, but not as requested. I had numerous guests complaining about not being able to find her to get questions answered. Vendors were coming up to us to get answers because they didn’t know what was going on, where to go or when they would be needed. The hotel staff, our DJ and even the bartender were more helpful than Daisy was.
This company fell very short of their promise on what was supposed to be a very special occasion for us. The wedding was beautiful, but it was because of the hotel staff, friends and family that jumped in to assist us. The coordination was simply not managed well. The DOC was basically “non-existent”, communication was extremely poor, inconsistent and lacked professionalism.
Best to you if you hire this company.
I have worked with hundreds of coordinators and I have to say that Alana is one of the best I have worked with! She was so professional, kind and flexible throughout the whole process. She had very timely correspondences and was really on top of everything including the many changes to the schedule. Her positive attitude and willingness to be flexible really contributes to couple’s being able to enjoy their day and not have added stress from more anxious or newer coordinators. I highly recommend her and if I could give her more than 5 stars I would!

Wow where do I even start??? I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Alana as my wedding planner! From start to finish, Alana went ABOVE and beyond to make sure that all of my needs were met. I can get a little type A and had about 7 months to plan out our perfect wedding. There were so many details that I wanted to make sure were highlighted on our big day from small décor details, flower placement, vendors, important cultural traditions…you name it. Alana really took the time to understand me and my husband’s vision and turn it into reality and execute with such grace! My husband and I initially wanted to do our wedding in San Diego and I was referred to Alana through a friend, and I’m glad that I stayed with her even though we didn’t end up doing our wedding in SD! From the first consultation call I already got a good genuine feeling and vibe from her – which is everything to me! I’m so overjoyed with all the compliments we’ve received from guests saying how beautiful our day was. And we got so many compliments on how our day really represented the both of us as a couple (coming from 2 different backgrounds). We honestly couldn’t have done it all without Alana and Antonio, the dream team! Seriously they’re such a good team and really took care of not just organizing our wedding day & making sure everything ran smoothly -- but also making sure we were pampered and taken care of throughout the night! Just wanted to drop a quick shoutout to the incredible wedding coordination team at Godoy Events. We had the pleasure of working with recently. As the DJ for the event, we gotta give credit where it's due. Alana, Alyssa, and Keti absolutely nailed it.
Their organization skills were top-notch. The whole timeline flowed smoothly, not a single hiccup in sight. Plus, they were as flexible as they come. We encountered an unexpected storm in sunny San Diego of all places and they handled moving the ceremony like seasoned pros.

Hiring Alana and her team for day of coordination for my 315 person wedding was the best decision I made! We got in touch a few months before the wedding and ever since I signed the contract she was the biggest help! Communication was so easy with her, I could text, email, or DM her and she almost always got back to me immediately.
She did a great job of taking over my vendors once I handed over all their info. She made sure to get in contact with each one and continuously touch base with them to make sure all expectations were going to be met. During our walkthrough of the venue, there were some vendor contracts I was unfamiliar with and it was as if Alana studied the contracts because she knew all of the answers before I could even look them up in the contract.
We took a few hours to discuss the timeline/flow of the wedding and Alana made sure every little detail was listed and even down to the minute! All of the vendors were very impressed saying that she sent out the most detailed timeline they have ever seen! There was a surprise hula that I was doing for the groom and I forgot to warn the DJ before our meeting to not say anything about it, so I was fully expecting for the surprise to be ruined, however I didn’t know Alana had already let the vendors know not to say anything about it if the groom was present! Little things like this were such a big help and showed how much she was paying attention to things.
Alana and Alyssa were present for the setup of the venue the day prior which was great. Them being there allowed for my family to not have to worry so much about all the work that needed to get done. It was also nice they were there because they got to see what decor came out of what boxes, and how to put everything back at the end of the night. The reception hall looked absolutely amazing!
Our wedding reception went better than expected! My biggest worry was the timing of events, and we actually were able to get ahead of schedule, which meant more time to party! She constantly made sure my husband and I were taken care of with food and drinks, and also just our mental state too. There were some silly little hygiene things that were needed throughout the night and she had everything right there! Once the formal events happened and it was time to party, the team started to get decor that was no longer being used put away. That ensured we were cleaned up and out of the venue on time. It also made for the rest of the clean up to go very smooth.
To say the least, Alana and her team nailed our wedding day. Our vision and expectations were definitely exceeded! I highly recommend Alana and her team for any of your upcoming events!

During our month-out phone call she went over, in detail, all of the timelines for the different vendors, had questions and recommendations for things that we hadn't even thought of, and so much more. On the day of the wedding, we had some hiccups in time but Alana was there to fix everything! She even made sure to sit us down, give us our plates, and had us eat. She was the perfect liaison between us and all of our vendors. She is the best coordinator, hands down. I will continue to book and refer Alana for any future events.

Of course, we had random unexpected curveballs on the day-of, from a last minute location change to audio issues, and they not only handled those changes with ease, but made us feel like they were non-issues anyway. They were simultaneously aware of everything and also incredibly present and focused and calming at the same time. Super nice to our doggo as well!

On the vendor side of events I wanted to give a shout-out to Alana and her new company. Every time I’ve worked with her she is exceptionally kind, organized, and helpful. She asks all the right questions prior to the event which makes my job way easier. There’s one event I did with her that honestly should’ve been chaos. I knew what was going on behind the scenes and there were vendors added at the last minute, vendors that didn’t have necessary equipment, and a higher guest count than projected. Alana stepped up and took care of everything and made it look easy. She stayed calm through it all and kept all the vendors on track with a smile on her face. The clients and guests couldn’t tell that there were so many fires that had to be put out because she didn’t miss a beat. Without alana, I don’t think we could’ve pulled that party off let alone call it a huge success.
My wife and I were hesitant to hire a wedding planner because our venue was a full service deal, but after hiring Alana, we knew that we made the best choice. The first planning call we had with her, my mom and cousin were with me and we were concerned about a few things we thought the venue would miss. But Alana reassured us that she’d reach out prior to the wedding and oversee these details on the day of. Before we got too far into the conversation, my mom and I couldn’t help but point out that she has this incredibly calming voice that made us all feel so secure and like we were in really good hands.
Jump forward to the day of our wedding and we couldn’t be happier we had her there. All of our guests made comments about her energy and how they noticed she was so on top of things. The issues we were worried about with the venue, she personally made sure to handle, and she even helped watch my nephew during the ceremony since he started crying and making a scene.
She took initiative on small decisions so that the venue staff didn’t need to ask us. Typically that would concern me, but she made all the right calls and really understood what we wanted.
I was thoroughly impressed at the way she anticipated things - there were small things that my family asked her to do and they were already done before they asked. There were some balloon decorations that were made for my niece who was celebrating her birthday the same day and we asked Alana to pop all the balloons after the event, not thinking to mention keeping the number ones… well we didn’t even need to mention it because she kept the numbers, packed them safely in the car with the rest of our decor, and even wrote a sweet note which we found after unpacking everything.
Stop thinking about it. Just book her. The thought and care that she gives to everyone she works with is incomparable. Alana - thank you for making our dreams come true!

Alana is EXACTLY who you want by your side on your big day!!! She keeps you calm, happy, and ON TIME!!! A big one if you’re anything like me and always running late lol. I cued Alana in on my time management issues and she ensured we arrived to the court house in time! On arrival she had adult beverages for us just to ease our nerves even more. Her positive attitude and easy going nature truly is a game changer! We had a small wedding at the court house followed by a small reception. But never once did she makes us feel small on our big day!!! She made sure drinks were full, everyone ate, and took plenty of pictures! The point is wether you’re having a 500 person wedding or 5 people she is who you want by your side!!!! I could not imagine what our day would have been like with out her support!! She is truly the best at what she does! She is professional, timely, and always on top of everything! Plus she funny & just a joy to have around! You will not regret booking her and her team for ANY event needed services!
