Godoy Events

with and are from minority-owned/led businesses. From our first call, Alana passed the vibe check immediately. Clearly knowledgeable, hardworking, and trustworthy what set her apart for us was that she didn't try to impose a traditional way of having a wedding on us. We had said at the get-go that we wanted to do things differently and really find ways to make our wedding unique to us, and she embraced our desires and our ideas with open arms and encouragement, which is exactly what you want from your wedding coordinator/planner - someone who understands what you and your partner want and will help you make it happen. The month leading up to the big day is innately stressful, but Alana helped ease our stress leading up to the big day. When our big weekend came, we knew we were in great hands. From rehearsal (she was coordinating a 40 person wedding party/aka our homies of honor) and throughout our wedding day/night, Alana and her team crushed it, and we are forever grateful to them. They say sometimes you have to compromise, but with Alana and her team you don't, you could have it all with a coordinator/planner. If you want someone who is culturally expansive, visionary, fun, humanity-forward, hardworking, knowledgeable, and can execute, look no further. Regardless of what type of wedding you want, Alana and her team are the ones to make your wedding dreams come true.

w how we would have made it through our wedding day without her. Her calm presence, organization, and reassurance made all the difference. We also want to give a huge shoutout to Lani and Bianca for their incredible support. At one point, I was convinced we had lost our marriage certificate and started to panic but Bianca immediately stepped in and calmly pointed out that she had it safely stored in a separate bag, along with other important items like the money from the money dance and all the cards and gifts from our family. That moment alone showed just how thoughtful, prepared, and on top of everything this team truly is. There are so many things that could have gone wrong on such an important day, and while a few small things inevitably did, Alana and her team made those moments feel non-existent just minor hiccups rather than world-ending catastrophes. Because of them, we were able to stay present, enjoy our day, and focus on what truly mattered. We cannot thank this team enough. They truly made our day beautiful, seamless, and unforgettable. THANK YOU SO, SO MUCH! 💖

nderstanding, and diligent. They made our day incredibly special and exceeded our expectations in every way.

We truly would have had way more stress leading up to the wedding but Alana specifically was clear and efficient in her communication and it resulted in a virtually seamless wedding where me and my husband were taken care of all night and never had to worry about anything!

munication was always clear and timely, and her coordination on the wedding day ensured everything ran beautifully.

g the show. Huge thank you!!

n. I cannot thank them enough and will recommend them to anyone that is getting married in the future!

They consistently bring a calm, positive energy to the planning process and ensure everything runs smoothly from start to finish. It’s always a pleasure collaborating with their team, and I can’t recommend their services enough. Exceptional work all around!

n important event as simple as possible. They were extremely flexible with last minute changes and extremely easy to reach when we needed help with any changes we wanted to make. We cannot thank Alana, Bianca, and the rest of her team enough with helping us celebrate with our friends and family stress free. We have so much thankfulness and love for Godoy Events for helping us celebrate our day <3

rted helping with the planning around 1 month out from the wedding date. We had multiple calls leading up to the day and she always made me feel like I was in good hands. Her and Daisy were so helpful and FUN on my wedding day! One of my favorite memories of them was seeing them dance to our music as they made finishing touches to my wedding cake. They understood my vision perfectly and blended so well in my intimate micro wedding. I love them both and highly recommend hiring them for any event!

t came to this event they far exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond. There are som many qualities that make great event planning and wedding coordination and as a DJ sometimes you feel left out and need to ask for things. That was never the case and I was CC'd on emails and kept in the lop on all updates. Their professionalism and proactive approach was amazing and the day of the event all of the timeline and key moments were continually checked on while executed. I can't state how much I wish this was the industry standard, but it is not. I have had many I work with drop the ball in so many aspects. If you want to make sure that your event is an utter success make sure to hire Godoy Events as part of your dream vendor team!

speedy response time, her attention to detail, work ethic and drive, willingness to be open to other vendor input, and her passion for wedding planning. I will absolutely be recommending her to all my couples from here on out. Her quick problem solving and and ability to keep the wedding day running smoothly is something many other planners would not navigate as effortlessly as Alana.

one would do it quite like how I had envisioned it. Well, once I secured the venue and started trying to secure vendors, I realized this was going to be a LOT more stressful than I had imagined. I'd met Alana at The Sinclair when I did a walkthrough. She answered all my questions and when I told her about my vision and what I wanted, you could tell she truly saw it and wasn't just trying to appease me. So when it came time to hire someone to take on Day-Of coordination, I knew she was the perfect person for the job. This event, was truly truly a labor of love, one which I poured just about every ounce of energy into. I get so wrapped up in what I want that it's hard for me to delegate because I know no one will do it quite like how I want it. Enter Alana. She truly truly just gets it. Yall. When I tell you that not only did Alana know exactly wtf I wanted, but she executed it better than I could have even imagined! I was literally speechless. Alana and Denise truly made my night super special, took care of everything, and checked on me endlessly throughout the night to see if I needed anything. There is no way I would have been able to pull off this party without Alana. Not only does she have the knowledge and experience, but her personality and warmth truly make you feel at ease.

inute things. Would recommend this team to anyone!!

thing about Alana is she will always create the best wedding experience possible for all of her clients. Her level of professionalism and attention to detail is 2nd to none. Along with her friendly, charming and kind personality just makes her an absolutely pleasure to work with. She always looks after her clients and vendors. If you are planning a special event in the San Diego and surrounding area, I HIGHLY recommend Alana and her team at Godoy Events as your planner. It will make your event run smoother and she will give you peace of mind.

s. When there were small Mishaps with another vendor out of her control she handled it with grace and checked in with us throughout the entire day which helped to keep us calm and collected. I was very specific in asking for an assistant if possible who spoke Vietnamese and Alana was able to make it happen which was very special for some of our guests. Alana also helped with a trustworthy list of recommended vendors which also came in handy! Alana was immediately available to help with anything including helping to do a last minute hem with safety pins for a bridesmaid. We are so thankful to be blessed with Alana’s presence for a very long day at multiple locations.

lism, calm and welcoming energy, and passion for making her clients happy were apparent right away, and she completely understood our vision from the start. Throughout the entire planning process, she exceeded our expectations, handling every detail with incredible care and thoughtfulness. Of course, as part of the wedding planning experience, clients inevitably face anxieties, challenges, and roadblocks. But Alana had a way of making the stressors of this experience feel short-lived. She effortlessly smoothed over any bumps in the road, offering reassurance and solutions that allowed us to stay focused on the joy of the occasion. Her calm presence and expert handling of every situation made us feel supported and in great hands at all times. Additionally, Alana handled the wedding logistics, coordination, and planning like a true professional. One of my favorite aspects of working with her was our 1:1 consultation sessions, where I would always leave feeling more organized, confident in my vision, and reassured that I had someone on my team truly taking care of us. Even when there were last-minute changes or unexpected challenges, Alana not only came up with smart solutions quickly but handled everything with grace and confidence. On the day of my wedding, I felt like I was standing in my own vision and my dreams had quite literally come true. The decorations were divine, and it was evident that Alana and her team knew how to not only put a wedding together but also ensure that all vendors were well-coordinated, allowing us to experience a stress-free and thoroughly enjoyable day. I highly recommend Godoy Events to anyone planning their wedding. Alana and her team work so hard for their clients, and I only wish the very best for this business! :)

ner, event furniture). Some of our vendors (floral) were family members, and Alana did a great job handling those relationships. Alana truly went above and beyond in helping us prepare and set up in the weeks and days leading up to the big day, which was extremely helpful since we were coming in from out of town. She gave excellent recommendations and was very responsive in our communications. Her professionalism and experience made for a really fun, memorable, and worry-free wedding day!

cess. She had very timely correspondences and was really on top of everything including the many changes to the schedule. Her positive attitude and willingness to be flexible really contributes to couple’s being able to enjoy their day and not have added stress from more anxious or newer coordinators. I highly recommend her and if I could give her more than 5 stars I would!

to the opportunity to work with her again.

was second to none! Not only was she prepared from a logistical standpoint, her personality and vibe was professional and easy going. Hope to work with you again soon Alana!

fessional - we'd love the opportunity to work with them again!

shares equal love and energy in putting your event first. You will never find yourself worried without being reassured. We were beyond thankful for the planning and completing our vision with the Godoy team. Communication is key when planning a special day, and is one of the many strengths the team excels in. I sent emails, texts, and voicemails often to share ideas or concerns, and each team member contributed to making sure all my questions or ideas were captured. I highly recommend Godoy Events, not only as a quality planning/event management vendor, but a wonderful advocate for managing all vendors. Lastly, we extremely valued the team's understanding and support of our cultural heritage. They were comfortable highlighting these details throughout our wedding. ed with them, and turns out beyond/better than imagined. Alana, the owner of Godoy Events, is warm, kind, caring, relaxed, yet highly organized. She makes a big effort to get to know her clients well and creates an event that is highly personalized to our needs, budget, etc. We hired her for day-of wedding planning services (the Bliss Coordination Package) and she provided support way beyond day-of services. She was a critical lead in coordinating our wedding, and her expertise really shined through! She worked supremely well with our venue event manager and other vendors. She steered the ship of guiding our wedding planning and ran our wedding timeline on the day with utter ease, grace, calmness, yet provided big energy when needed (can't believe she was generous enough to emcee our event), and we and our families all had a great time having her by our sides on our wedding day as she fit in like family. My new husband and I are beyond thrilled with the services provided by Alana and her team, specifically Viva who also helped us on our big day. We have nothing but praise and highest recommendations for entrusting Alana and her team to create a spectacular event! We look forward to working with her and her team for any future event planning needs. Thank you SO MUCH Alana, Viva, and the entire Godoy Events Team!! We are big fans and are grateful for all your work in supporting our fun wedding!

My team and I look forward to working with her again!

e all her hard work that her and her team did on our big day. She provided us with a detailed timeline for the day of, which made us feel at ease. From the morning she was helping our vendors set up and organize while we off preparing and getting ready. She made our family and bridal party feel so comfortable throughout the day. She always knew where to find us and keep us on track. Her and her team also went above and beyond to help clean after our reception. We couldn’t have asked for a better team and we so happy you were able to be part of our big day. Alana's attention to detail, professionalism, and dedication truly made our wedding day perfect.

at all of my needs were met. I can get a little type A and had about 7 months to plan out our perfect wedding. There were so many details that I wanted to make sure were highlighted on our big day from small décor details, flower placement, vendors, important cultural traditions…you name it. Alana really took the time to understand me and my husband’s vision and turn it into reality and execute with such grace! My husband and I initially wanted to do our wedding in San Diego and I was referred to Alana through a friend, and I’m glad that I stayed with her even though we didn’t end up doing our wedding in SD! From the first consultation call I already got a good genuine feeling and vibe from her – which is everything to me! I’m so overjoyed with all the compliments we’ve received from guests saying how beautiful our day was. And we got so many compliments on how our day really represented the both of us as a couple (coming from 2 different backgrounds). We honestly couldn’t have done it all without Alana and Antonio, the dream team! Seriously they’re such a good team and really took care of not just organizing our wedding day & making sure everything ran smoothly -- but also making sure we were pampered and taken care of throughout the night! One of my favorite things that Alana and Antonio did was that they captured snippets of pictures and videos of our wedding and all of our guests and shared it with us. I kid you not I have been looking at all of our footage on repeat since our big day! Definitely a plus to have especially when you are patiently waiting for your photography & videography to come back! All in all, if you’re looking for a professional team who is organized, personable, fun, trustworthy, detail-oriented, kind, look no further!! My husband I will forever cherish all of our beautiful memories from the best day ever =)

tobooth services for the client and everything went perfect as a team because of her lead. We hope to continue working with Godoy Events and we highly recommend them. @lovehutphotobooth

Our DJ and MC, Patrick was so impressed with the professionality and timeliness of Alana and her team and he was so grateful that they were taking care of the event coordination so he could focus on his MCing and the music! That's the power of having a great planner and event team!! Can't wait till the next one!! Thank you Alana! Greg Rackley, Owner of Maximum Impact Productions!

l cared for and supported the entire time. She listened attentively to what our needs were and delivered on it all and then some. Anyone would be lucky to have her plan their events ! She is excellent at what she does.

recommend their services enough!

re in great hands. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care for our vision made the entire planning process seamless. Alana's expertise and guidance were invaluable as we navigated through every aspect of our wedding. She helped create our timeline, communicated with vendors, and was constantly going above and beyond to ensure that our day went smoothly. Her calm demeanor and reassuring presence were exactly what we needed on our wedding day and all the days leading up to it. On the day of our wedding, Alana and her team went above and beyond to ensure that everything ran smoothly. Despite the rain and other challenges through the day, they handled every situation with grace and professionalism, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy every moment. The level of care and dedication that Alana and her team put into our wedding was truly exceptional, and we are forever grateful for their hard work and commitment to making our day absolutely perfect. We couldn't have done it without her!

ive credit where it's due. Alana, Alyssa, and Keti absolutely nailed it. Their organization skills were top-notch. The whole timeline flowed smoothly, not a single hiccup in sight. Plus, they were as flexible as they come. We encountered an unexpected storm in sunny San Diego of all places and they handled moving the ceremony like seasoned pros. Their calm demeanor kept everyone chill, even when things got a bit hectic. But what really stood out was the trust factor. You know when you meet someone and instantly feel like you're in good hands? Yeah, that was them. They had our back, and we had theirs. It's the kind of partnership you hope for in this crazy wedding world. Here's hoping our paths cross again in the future because working with them was an absolute pleasure. Major props to Alana and her team for making our job a breeze and helping make the big day unforgettable.

e contract she was the biggest help! Communication was so easy with her, I could text, email, or DM her and she almost always got back to me immediately. She did a great job of taking over my vendors once I handed over all their info. She made sure to get in contact with each one and continuously touch base with them to make sure all expectations were going to be met. During our walkthrough of the venue, there were some vendor contracts I was unfamiliar with and it was as if Alana studied the contracts because she knew all of the answers before I could even look them up in the contract. We took a few hours to discuss the timeline/flow of the wedding and Alana made sure every little detail was listed and even down to the minute! All of the vendors were very impressed saying that she sent out the most detailed timeline they have ever seen! There was a surprise hula that I was doing for the groom and I forgot to warn the DJ before our meeting to not say anything about it, so I was fully expecting for the surprise to be ruined, however I didn’t know Alana had already let the vendors know not to say anything about it if the groom was present! Little things like this were such a big help and showed how much she was paying attention to things. Alana and Alyssa were present for the setup of the venue the day prior which was great. Them being there allowed for my family to not have to worry so much about all the work that needed to get done. It was also nice they were there because they got to see what decor came out of what boxes, and how to put everything back at the end of the night. The reception hall looked absolutely amazing! Our wedding reception went better than expected! My biggest worry was the timing of events, and we actually were able to get ahead of schedule, which meant more time to party! She constantly made sure my husband and I were taken care of with food and drinks, and also just our mental state too. There were some silly little hygiene things that were needed throughout the night and she had everything right there! Once the formal events happened and it was time to party, the team started to get decor that was no longer being used put away. That ensured we were cleaned up and out of the venue on time. It also made for the rest of the clean up to go very smooth. To say the least, Alana and her team nailed our wedding day. Our vision and expectations were definitely exceeded! I highly recommend Alana and her team for any of your upcoming events!

y friends and family. We planned our wedding in Santa Barbara and we live in San Francisco, so it was essentially a destination wedding and we were worried about finding and coordinating our vendors from far away. Alana helped use her Southern California connections to make it all happen. She is responsive and reliable. She is a very experienced planner which made us feel like our wedding would be a guaranteed. hit. I felt I could always count on her to make sure planning was on track. My friends and family were so shocked how relaxed I was throughout the process. I would always tell them it was because of Alana; she melted all my fears away. From our rehearsal lunch to our wedding night, she made sure everything on our timeline happened as discussed. She made sure the decorations were set up beautifully and had the perfect rentals I needed; I was so glad we didn't have to waste additional materials. She kept the night moving and went above and beyond in checking in on us throughout the day--she even had a clever wedding day emergency kit that so many of our guests benefitted from. If you are planning a wedding, you have to hire Alana so she can help the weddings of your dreams come true!

over, in detail, all of the timelines for the different vendors, had questions and recommendations for things that we hadn't even thought of, and so much more. On the day of the wedding, we had some hiccups in time but Alana was there to fix everything! She even made sure to sit us down, give us our plates, and had us eat. She was the perfect liaison between us and all of our vendors. She is the best coordinator, hands down. I will continue to book and refer Alana for any future events.

wedding reception were looked after, with calm and finesse. The evening was magical. Thank you Alana and team for making this special event just that: special!

She added her own special touch but really focused on what I wanted. She was always super responsive and willing to talk me off any ledges I hoped up on. I am very thankful to have found her and her team, I would recommend her to anyone who wants that detail and Aloha represented on their special day! Me Ke Aloha Mags & Rob Johnstons

for the day months before and she took my vision and articulated it to perfection the day of. She was quick to ask all questions I hadn’t originally thought of and i’m so thankful for that because no detail was left unfinished. I never felt even the slightest sprinkle of stress on my day or heard of any emergency that came across. She truly knows how to problem solve and keep it quiet from the bride and groom while still excelling at providing everything dreamt of the couple. She is so personable and keeps the good vibes rolling the whole night. Alana sticks to her timeline and makes sure you’re staying on track so you get to enjoy the entirety of your day. She made sure we had a drink in hand, dinner at our seats, and got the best behind the scenes videos for us to enjoy! She is there to support you, hype you up and make you feel top tier on your special day and I felt exactly that. Thank you so much Godoy Events for turning my dream into a reality as I married the love of my life!

in their abilities. Of course, we had random unexpected curveballs on the day-of, from a last minute location change to audio issues, and they not only handled those changes with ease, but made us feel like they were non-issues anyway. They were simultaneously aware of everything and also incredibly present and focused and calming at the same time. Super nice to our doggo as well! I 10/10 recommend hiring her + team for your day!

all the right questions prior to the event which makes my job way easier. There’s one event I did with her that honestly should’ve been chaos. I knew what was going on behind the scenes and there were vendors added at the last minute, vendors that didn’t have necessary equipment, and a higher guest count than projected. Alana stepped up and took care of everything and made it look easy. She stayed calm through it all and kept all the vendors on track with a smile on her face. The clients and guests couldn’t tell that there were so many fires that had to be put out because she didn’t miss a beat. Without alana, I don’t think we could’ve pulled that party off let alone call it a huge success.
