She was always there when it was overwhelming, making sure I was ok. Yessenia is detail-oriented, flexible, organized and personable. She made my wedding day so effortless, I literally did not have to worry about a single thing. By far, Gold Mine Events was the best decision we made for our wedding!

dn't have to worry about a thing on the day of the wedding. Since I was planning our wedding from Boston, it was assuring to know that I would have some extra assistance on the wedding day, should I need it. And, let me tell you.... I needed it. To start, Yessenia handled the entire rehearsal. She did a fantastic job corralling my (very loud and obnoxious) family and getting everyone to their correct positions. She also walked through the songs with me and listened for the best time for me and my dad to walk down the aisle with the timing of the song, since I wanted to make sure the chorus was played. On the day of the wedding, she was there bright and early, and she took control of all the "things" so that I didn't have to think about them. You know, all the little stuff like place cards, card box, guest book, signs, decorations, literally dozens and dozens of candles.... During my best friend's wedding, after we all got ready, we had to spend two hours setting all that stuff up, which was such a buzz kill. It was SO great not having to deal with any of that and just handing it all to Yessenia with pictures of what I wanted. And the BEST part of it all was that Yessenia and her assistant packed everything up at the end of the night so that we could go to a bar and enjoy the after party!!! I've been to so many weddings where the bride and groom are an hour late to their own after party because they had to deal with all the stuff after the reception ended. No thank you! The other great thing that she dealt with was coordinating all the vendors - their arrival time, where they would unload everything, dealing with their parking, etc. She was on the phone with them weeks before the wedding, which is the MOST stressful time for the bride, so the fact that I didn't have to coordinate any of that was just incredible! And if you're STILL on the fence about hiring her, let me tell you how she literally saved the day when our late night food didn't arrive. We had scheduled $1,000 worth of Portillo's hot dogs and beef sandwiches to show up at 10:30pm for all us drunk folks, and I had spoken to the manager at Portillo's months beforehand and paid for everything up front. Well, the food never came... And Yessenia called the manager over and over again with no response. So she literally got in an Uber and went to Portillo's herself and ordered 100 hot dogs and beef sandwiches and brought it back to the wedding venue. I had ZERO idea that all of this was happening, which is the point of having a day-of coordinator. They deal with all the BS so that you can enjoy your wedding day and not worry about all the little things that go wrong (because trust me, things WILL go wrong). She seriously saved the day. And on top of all of this, she is the sweetest, cutest woman ever and had an amazingly calm vibe that just made me feel so at ease on my wedding day. You will not regret your decision to hire her!

ne until it was time to discuss the proposed contract.  The proposed contract was very one-sided and contained several items that were not relevant to what we discussed initially.   A major term of the contract was that if you you cancel for ANY REASON (whether her company caused the reason for you to cancel them) you still have to pay.  I initially spoke with her about items like the one mentioned above that are contained in her contract.  She explained that she understood and would get back to me with changes.  This was on October 4, 2019.  On November 20, 2019, she finally responded to me.  It took her over a  month to finally get back to me and I had to send a follow up email to receive a response from her. I should have took that as a sign. She did apologize for the delay . However, her response was very nasty towards me.  She even told me that "the relationship she seek to acquire is one that absolutely trust her expertise."  She wants me to trust her wholeheartedly but she doesn't trust me at all.  Against my better judgment, I wanted to see if she was a stand up person by holding her end of the bargain so I sent her an additional email Nov. 20th detailing what we initially discussed and asked her to add an addendum to contract.  She never responded to my email.  I would have some respect for her if she would have simply said NO to the email and told me upfront that her terrible contract is as is.  If she did that I would not have wasted my time writing this review because I have respect for people who are upfront with me.   GME wasted my time that I could have spent searching for another wedding coordinator. GME is very unprofessional. I would never recommend her or her company to anyone.  Please read the terms of the contract and not sign anything which is what this contract is.  Trash.  BRIDE BEWARE! Response to gme; The clause that you refer to does not have a stipulation that states assuming that you have fulfilled all the responsibilities outlined on the very first page. The contract reads that if you cancel for any reason that you must continue to pay. Contracts will be interpreted on its four corners should a disagreement arise. Meaning the fact that you are now stating assuming that you have fulfilled your end of the contract will not be taken into consideration unless it is STATED/WRITTEN in the contact. I actually have a wedding planner and asked other women that had a wedding planner about your cancellation clause. They did not have a clause that if you cancel for any reason that you still have to make your payments. In fact, when I showed them what you stated in your contract they cringed like I did when I read it. What is standard is a consequential damages clause not a cancellation clause that states if you cancel for any reason you still have to make payments. Asking someone to trust you but you don't trust them is very disingenuous. It is fine to stand by whatever you like but please be upfront and honest about what you require. You only stated what you require when I questioned your terms to your one-sided contract. If you would have been upfront, I would have so much more respect for you as a person and a business. Best of luck. Bride beware.

Yessenia was there for us the day of the rehearsal, she was always part of our phone call with our vendors helping us make decisions, but most importantly she showed up on the day of the wedding as soon as the venue opened its doors and didn't leave until the last guest left the party. sure we wanted to hire a wedding planner but when we met her, we knew we had to have her! During the planning process, Yessenia maintained great communication, very responsive, and was always ready to go above and beyond what was asked of her. Yessenia always made us feel at ease with the process. I'll never forget, during one of the most stressful parts of the planning with one of our vendors when she noticed how concerned we were, she said to me, "You don't stress, it's my job to worry about this for you. Just leave it to me." I don't think she knew just how comforting it was to hear that reassurance in that moment. After planning with her for a year and getting to know how reliable and trustworthy she is, I had no doubt she would run the day of successfully but she really impressed us! She made sure everything ran smoothly, always thinking ahead, she communicated well with everyone (guests, vendors, family), and made sure my husband and I had nothing to worry about except to enjoy our day. There were many times during the planning, and day of especially, that I thought to myself, 'we couldn't have done it the way we did without her.' Yessenia is amazing, both on a professional and personal level! I especially appreciated her attention to detail, her honesty, and her passion for what she does.
