I usually only leave positive reviews, but in this case, I think this is necessary. To begin with the venue is absolutely beautiful, but if you are wanting an outside wedding with a “backup plan” this is not the venue for you-until they fix their problem. It had been raining days leading up to the wedding and rain was in the forecast for Saturday as well, so we decide to have the wedding inside. The inside is absolutely beautiful, so I was okay with this. The morning of the wedding was beautiful, but rain moved in quickly after lunch. Due to the venue not having an awning, there was NO way for guests and vendors to enter the venue without getting wet (umbrellas did not even help). I felt extremely bad for my band as they unloaded their equipment and the caterers as they unloaded the food and supplies. They were soaking wet. As the rain continued and family begin to arrive early for pictures, water begin flowing into the venue. The water was coming in between the wall and foundation causing some areas to have as much as 2” of water. THANKFULLY, a family friend lived nearby and was able to go home to get his wetvac. If it was not for him, there would have still been water in there during the time of the ceremony. HE SAVED THE DAY. There was also two water leaks in the bridal suite (one by my WEDDING DRESS and the bridesmaid dresses and another pretty big one in the bathroom) that the owner was informed of while the bridal party was getting ready and all she said was, “I know”. I am thankful that my bridesmaid noticed this before my dress got wet. Although this had happened before, the owners of the venue did not know what to do. Sadly, we were informed this had happened before but we did not know about it until afterwards (and we were told by someone other than the owners). Due to the flooding inside, I was unable to get any pictures inside under the flowers and arch (which was not cheap). This area was the part that was different from the other weddings and made it unique to us. It breaks my heart that I was unable to take pictures here. After the wedding, I reached out to the owners asking about the venue flooding prior to our wedding date. Unfortunately, I never got a reply and I messaged them multiple times. Once this problem is fixed, I would highly recommend this venue!

GGF is unbelievable! Mr. Joe & Mrs. Becky are a great team to work with- the venue atmosphere is so welcoming whether you are looking for something southern chic or simple and laid back. Take it from a bride who never really had a fairly tale wedding planned- this place is a dream come true!
