Greystone was so incredible to work with. They truly think of everything and my husband and I barely had to lift a finger. The menu tasting was such a wonderful experience and got us really excited for our big day. Everything went off without a hitch. From rehearsal, to decorating the day before, and the day of, we were so well taken care of. We were even able to wait until Monday after our wedding to come and pick up all of our décor and Greystone had already packed everything up for us. We have received endless compliments from our guests about how beautiful everything was. We could not recommend Greystone enough. It helped make our dream wedding come true!
Words truly cannot describe the most incredible experience we had with our wedding at Greystone Hall. If you are looking for the absolute best wedding venue, look no further! We had our ceremony and reception on site. The entire venue is gorgeous and so unique with a full bar, fireplace, grand ballroom, the bathrooms (trust me!), and the doric room for the ceremony. Beyond its beauty, the staff made a Type A Bride beyond relaxed with their organization and thoroughness. The booking process was a dream with all of our questions answered immediately. Their communication is stellar. The tasting experience was so special and made us so excited for the day. Not to mention, our guests raved about the amazing quality of the food and drinks! On the day of, the staff seamlessly worked together and with our vendors to ensure everything was taken care of and running smoothly. They constantly checked in with us and our bridal party to be sure we didn't need anything and followed our timelines independently. They took initiative to run through things so we didn't have to worry about it. They also allowed us to set up and decorate the Thursday before, hold our rehearsal on Friday, Wedding Saturday, and then pick up our stuff the following Monday. It was so nice knowing we could leave the wedding and not have to assign someone to stay back and clean up. They took care of absolutely everything. The wait staff, bartenders, and door staff were beyond kind, friendly, helpful, and energetic with our guests. Ron, Sierra, and Chris were a joy to work with -- seriously could not have asked for a better venue team. Their dedication and communication leading up the wedding took away any stress we had. The process for contracts, payments, and catering numbers/table organization was very clear and efficient. I could go on for days, this team at Greystone is amazing! Truly would not have wanted to get married anywhere else. Thank you to all the staff at Greystone for making our wedding beyond perfect! HIGHLY recommend!
This place was absolutely perfect! Everyone on staff was kind and attentive, they were never without a smile and always ready to help! The bar attendees made sure that me and the groom always had a glass of water with the drinks that we ordered! I thought that just really added some extra love and attention! I could keep going on and on but I want you go there and let the venue speak for themselves! Thank you Greystone for a beautiful day!
Our wedding at Greystone was amazing! The staff at Greystone is so helpful and kind and they executed our vision perfectly! Ron was wonderful to work with and was very knowledgeable and answered any and all questions we had throughout this process. All of the staff that we worked with were so kind and helpful. Christine set up our decorations beautifully the day of and made sure everything was perfect! Our guests raved about the venue, the food, the staff and everything else in between! Many guests said this was the best venue they have been to! I would recommend Greystone for any event! Greystone is such a unique, beautiful and spacious venue! Everyone went above and beyond for our event and I can’t thank them enough!
My expectations were FAR exceeded with Greystone and all of its staff. I could gush forever about the beautiful architecture and elegance of the building, but there was far more that impressed me about this venue. I had the pleasure of working alongside Ron through my whole planning process. He was there to answer any question and lend expertise no matter the time of day/weekend, you name it, he’s wonderful. Everyone else also did such an amazing job, I would recommend Greystone to EVERYONE.
My husband and I had the most amazing experience with our wedding at Greystone. The bridal suite was fantastic for getting ready. Our ceremony was in the Doric Room, and our reception in the Grand Ballroom, it was so convenient to have the whole event in one building. I absolutely loved having the bar and billiards rooms as separate spaces connected to the reception hall, it gave guests plenty of room. We heard nothing but compliments from our guests about the food, the service, and the space. Jessica, Ron, and Kelly were so helpful during the entire planning process and the whole wedding weekend. Also, the private tasting experience with Ron was so unique and fun, it really made us excited for the event. If you're looking for a wedding venue in Akron, I highly recommend Greystone.
Greystone is an amazing venue. They have absolutely everything you need for your wedding. Ron, Jess, Kristine, Taylor, Bobbie and all of the incredible staff made my daughter's wedding day seamless. We could not have worked with a more professional group. Everyone raved about the beauty of the venue, the food and the INCREDIBLE staff. We can't thank them enough for a day we will never forget.
This venue is fabulous - so classy, historical and gorgeous. The staff was amazing to work with and the food was so so good! We got so many compliments on everything! Greystone made planning my wedding easy since they handle alot of the details and I felt confident that everything would go well and it did!!!
My husband and I had the most incredible experience working with the team at Greystone Hall on our September wedding! Ron, Kelly, Christine, and the team are beyond professional in their detailed oriented approach to making the evening run absolutely perfect. The venue is gorgeous, historic, and spacious. The hors d'oeuvres and dinner options that we selected at a private tasting with Ron were beyond delicious. We received endless compliments on the beautiful space, flavorful food, and exceptional service of the bartenders and servers. We highly recommend working with the wonderful team at Greystone Hall for an exceptional event experience!
Greystone was THE best! From an easy booking (and rescheduling, thanks COVID) to great food to AWESOME staff! So many compliments from our family and friends about the food! Marsha was an angel from heaven with giving me her cell phone number for rescheduling and keeping me updates on dates available. Omar the night of the wedding made sure myself and my husband always had a drink in our hands and food in our bellys! Ron was incredibly knowledgable and the leader of this well oiled machine. We loved our wedding at Greystone and if we had to do it all over again we would definitely pick Greystone again.
We are so happy we went with Greystone. It was so easy to work with everyone. Ron, Kelly, and Omar were the dream team and everything went without a hitch. They were on top of every detail when I wasn't and made everything very easy for us. It was wonderful to have our wedding be a one stop shop-- ceremony upstairs and the reception in the beautiful ballroom. Our guests were raving about the experience and the food was EXCELLENT. If I had to do it over again (and gosh I hope this is the only wedding I every have to plan), I would definitely do it at Greystone again!
Greystone Hall was an absolutely perfect venue! We knew right away when we saw the ballroom that we wanted to get married here. There is so much history in this building and it's beyond gorgeous. The coordinators and staff also just blew us away with their amazing customer service and attention to detail. Marcia was amazing to work with for the ceremony, and Ron and Christine knocked it out of the park at the reception! Every single employee that was also there to support us that day were great (maintenance, sound, servers, bartenders, chefs, etc.) They were so accommodating, allowed us to make suggestions and determine feasibility, and were so attentive and supportive. Not to mention THE FOOD! Everything was delicious. This place operates like a well oiled machine!
When we were searching for a reception venue, we were really looking for something more unique than a typical hotel ballroom, and Greystone was just beautiful. It is exactly the feel we were looking for. The staff was amazing in helping plan the details and took care of everything. We didn't get to come in and see it set up the day before because there was an event Friday night, but I was not worried at all that it would look perfect, and it did. The food was excellent and the bartenders were friendly and efficient. We are local to the Akron area, and were happy to find somewhere close by, especially since we felt the pricing was very reasonable in comparison to places we saw in the Cleveland area.
You will not regret picking this venue! The staff is amazing. Food, Bartenders, Drinks, Service, Security Guard is all taken care of at this venue. The staff is exceptional. There are a variety of drinks at the bar, local beers, top shelf liquors. You are able to create signature drinks. Food is amazing, it is all plated. We brought in our own dessert (cake to cut and cake bites for guests). We had our ceremony in the Doric Room, absolutely beautiful!
The first thing we fell in love with Greystone was the ballroom. The entire place has a historical feel with gorgeous details that needed little else to help decorate it. The staff the night of the reception were fabulous. They made sure everyone had what they needed, always made sure my husband and I were comfortable; they went above and beyond. The food was amazing. I had a special request for soft pretzels as a late night snack and they definitely delivered. You get what you pay for, and for what we paid for we got more than we expected. Would definitely recommend this reception venue to everyone looking!
Once we saw Greystone Hall we knew we had to have our wedding there. The venue is absolutely beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. It definitely gave me the old world charm that I was hoping for on our big day. The staff at Greystone Hall did an amazing job and we have received so many complements about the food, venue, and staff. All of our guests enjoyed themselves and a big part of it was due to the staff at Greystone Hall. Everyone was polite and helpful. We truely felt like a king and queen for the day. If I could do this day all over again just to experience it one more time I would. It was absolutely perfect, thank you!!
The Greystone Hall in Akron is an awesome place to have a wedding and reception! They can do both services in the same building and it is a beautiful venue, rich with history. The staff there are top notch and make you feel like royalty on your big day! The bar is by far the best I've ever had the pleasure of drinking at for a wedding and all of our guests were impressed by their service and alcohol choices. They were able to truly make us feel like we could relax on the day of as everything was handled with skill and professionalism by their staff.
We feel so lucky to have found Greystone Hall for our wedding reception! From the initial meeting with Kelly Byers to our food tasting with Ron Dorsey, it was just so easy to create the reception of our dreams! The ballroom, bar area, and lounge speak for themselves- beautiful, classy, and perfect. The food was incredible and our guests raved about it! I couldn't have found a better venue in this area for our reception and it was worth every penny!
We knew from being guests at Greystone that we wanted to get married there! Everything was wonderful! We rented a room for the ceremony and the reception. It was wonderful to have everything in one venue, our guests loved the different looks of each room! The space was beautiful, the staff professional and organized, and the food was great! Rich and Kelly made sure we had a smooth and relaxed day!
As soon as I saw Greystone Hall, I knew that I did not want to have my wedding anywhere else. I was blown away by the aesthetics of the building! Kelly Byers and Ron Dorsi were incredible to work with, they practically became my wedding planners! They thought of everything that I didn't have ran my wedding day for me, I did not have to deal with any questions or anything the day of, it was fantastic! The price is fairly reasonable for everything that you get. I was so pleased with this as a venue and would recommend it to anyone!
I could not have been happier with the overall experience of the venue. I have never worked with a more organized and professional staff who took care of every need and paid so much attention to every little detail. The venue itself is absolutely breath-taking and elegant with so much history. An incredibly great value and experience.
When we began our search for a wedding venue, Greystone Hall was the first place we looked, and no other venue we looked at after could compare.
The building itself is beautiful and needs very little decorating. It has a historical/vintage feel, but has been kept up very well, which provides for an elegant atmosphere. The barrister’s lounge, which includes the bar, has an atmosphere all of its own. The bar is long enough for guests to comfortably order drinks and there’s plenty of space to stand or sit at the bar or at one of the tables in this room. Adding to the unique décor, the bar stools even have hand-carved lion’s heads on the arms.
The ballroom is an amazing space for the reception. We especially liked the stage, which is where we seated our bridal party, and the balcony, which providing a grand entrance when our bridal party was announced. Another point to note is that the chairs in the ballroom are very comfortable, nice looking and in good condition, so there really isn’t a need to pay to have them covered or to bring in other chairs.
On to the service: The staff at Greystone is as impressive as the building itself. Marsha and Ron tag team the planning of your entire event and couldn’t be more helpful. They both have the experience necessary to help anyone plan a beautiful wedding and to make it run smoothly so that you don’t need to worry about any details; they’ll have you covered.
The food was delicious and they were very flexible in accommodating our menu and signature drink selections. The serving staff was friendly and staffed enough to serve our food promptly.
We also felt the price was very reasonable, especially when you consider how beautiful the venue is, how delicious the food is, and how wonderful everyone there is to work with. We would recommend everyone planning a wedding to take a look at Greystone Hall; you won’t be disappointed.
I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place! The venue was gorgeous, the food was awesome, we actually received compliments on the salads! The staff is so wonderful, helpful, fun and professional. They really made our day awesome! My younger sister in law who was in the wedding with us loved the experience so much she wants to have her wedding there now! Not to mention the prices were cheaper than any party center in the area even when you include the open bar! Loved them they were the best! We had 120 guests and about 5 vendor meals to pay for they even break it down so you don't get charged the bar costs for vendors, children or young adults (adult meal but not old enough to drink). Awesome vendor! Loved them so much!
Greystone Hall was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding reception. The wedding coordinator and food service manager are incredibly organized and fantastic. They honored my every wish! The ballroom is very elegant, the barrister's lounge (bar) was the perfect spot for guests seeking a quieter area to mingle. The chef was also very nice and informative-the food was amazing! Staff was exceptionally pleasant and helpful. I would recommend Greystone Hall to any bride who is planning a "vintage" or "classic" wedding.
Not only is this venue beautiful and recently restored from 1920's but everyone who we worked with was very professional and great with communication. I really cannot say enough nice things about the both the sales manager Marsha Newman and the catering manager Ron Dorsey. They both helped me have my dream come true wedding.
I did have my wedding in an off peak season and also on a Friday evening to help save on some of our wedding costs.
This hall was gorgeous and the staff made the night happen. They were everywhere (yet completely out the way) and if anything went wrong that night they took care of it before my husband and I even knew. We were just able to enjoy the evening. The food is amazing, the staff is even better, and the atmosphere is romantic and elegant!
The staff at greystone was a pleasure to work with- very helpful and organized. They did everything they could to meet my requests, and the evening of the wedding went smoothly- just how I pictured it. I would HIGHly recommend.
Gorgeous hall...loved everything about it. Sales staff horrible, we had 3 different sales people for the year and none of them seemed to know what they were doing. The catering and event staff were wonderful and really made our event wonderful, great attention to detail.
It is an old masonic temple that has beautiful woodwork, a double staircase balcony, excellent food, and a nice stage for a live band.;The staff was difficult to work with. They had many restrictions on what vendors (florists, bakery, band, etc.) were brought in. For example, they had strict set up times for the cake, we encountered two bakeries who refused to work with the reception hall due to prior experience with them. Unfortunately this was after we booked the hall. The reception hall provides you with a list of 'recommended vendors' and you pretty much have to go with who they recommend because it is close to impossible to find vendors who they will approve or will agree to work with. I think they must have certain kickbacks with their 'recommended vendors', or else they are personal friends or family members of the owners. It caused a big headache and we were made to feel like it was our fault that we could not find 'professional vendors up to their high standards'.
The staff was so easy to work with. Their attention to detail and willingness to answer even what seemed to me to be a silly question was amazing! The atmosphere was just as we hoped it would be and the food is fantastic!;Be sure your DJ has commercial liability insurance!
